Subject: The Snow Prince (Part 4)

			      The Snow Prince

Snow Falling all around me...Rocks, trees, bushes, covered in snow...The
world it self covered in white. Snow fall from the gray colored sky...
(Where am I?, Am I dreaming.)."It could be a dream or I couldn't be."  a
voice called out to me. I looked around for signs of another person. "Who
are you? And where am I?" I asked not knowing who I was talking to. Through
the falling snow and the shadow of the trees a figure approached me. " What
do you mean I could be dreaming?" I asked the figure that what's
approaching me. "You will soon know, I'll be waiting here in the snow."
Said the voice of the shadowy figure.


`BUZZZZZ'. I shot up my bed and looked around, (What the hell was that!). I
looked at my clock and it read 5:30 AM, I laid back on my head board and
though about the dream I had. "Boy what a way to start the day." I said to
myself. I remember what today was (Yes the last day of school...Goodbye
homework, so long exams and bye-bye quiz's).


I bolted out of bed and took a nice hot shower, put on a pair of boxer
briefs and walked to my dresser and pulled up buttoned and zipped on pair
of tight black jeans. Then went to my closet and pulled out my white
turtleneck sweater, went to my vanity mirror and combed and pulled my hair
back in to a ponytail. Checked my treasure chest for my cross earrings and
put one on my right ear. Then the last part of the out fit my white jacket
with a beaded silver big cross on the back. ( I loved crosses and this
jacket was special to me, Mom sowed the beads on the back for me.). I
checked myself on the full length mirror hanging on my door, (Yup Looking
good and this jeans showed my bubble butt off..Hehehe).


I went down stairs and into the kitchen to make breakfast for me and dad,
turned on the coffee machine. "Morning Kiddo, Sleep well last night?" Asked
dad taking his seat, "Yup a little, Had to write my report till 2 that's
about it." (Ya right MY report.). " So dad you going to the winter fair
tonight?, Its going to be at the pond this year". I asked a little worried,
"Ya Lilly asked me to help out at her booth." Dad said back to me. "Lilly
huh.. Hehehe Dad you sly dog." I said with a grin. Coughing dad looked away
turning a little red.


Ms. Lilly Lockhart was the owner or the glass shop in town and was well
liked by the whole community. She and mom went back to high school and were
best friends, when mom passed away she was there for me and dad always
making sure we ate and she helped me with school and with my grief about
losing mom. She and dad became friends for the past three years and I see
bond that has grown between them, And it was ok with me.


After I got done with my grub I checked the time '7:15' (shoot I'm going to
miss the bus.) I headed to the door, Put on my knee high black boots and
yelled to goodbye to me dad. I was on my way to the bus stop when Matt's
car pulled on beside me, "Hey get in I'll give you a ride." He said to
me. "Thanks I though I was going to miss the bus." I said to him, "well
just be happy that I got up early today." He smiled back at me. He turned
on the radio the song `Let it Snow' sang by Jessica Simpson was on.


I looked out the window on to the falling snow and though back to last
night. (Dame that Kyle...Dame him to hell, what am I going to do I don't
think I can even look him in the face.) "KAI!!!" Shouted Matt,
"Huh...what?" I asked a little startled..."what up? Still half

asleep?" He asked looking at me. "Sorry didn't get much sleep last night,
Had to do a paper." I said to him.


"Paper?? I though you finished all your work and turned them in." He asked
a little confused. "Umm, There was one I forgot and I found it on my desk."
I said looking away. Not wanting to make eye contact with him, "Really...I
didn't know you could forget school work Mr. bookworm." He said with a
little edge in his voice. I just laughed nervously and tried to change the
subject. We talked on what we were going to do at the fair tonight as we
made it to the school parking lot.


We walked through the halls passing our fellow student's who were just as
exited about the last day of school as we were. I told matt to go ahead
because I had to drop something off at the office, I made my was passed the
mass of students who were coming and going in the halls. I looked around
the corner looking at Kyle's locker to make sure he wasn't there, (Alright
the all clear.) I pulled out the paper in my binder and walked as fast as I
could to slip it in to his locker before he could get there.


I looked left and right nothing (Come on dame it go in), I looked to my
left and there he was with his goons walking the hall. Finally able to slip
it in I ran for it, and made it out the side entrance and out to the court
yard and back behind them. (James Bond eat your heart out). I smiled and
made back to my locker, grabbed my books and headed to class. But by second
period I was a little jumpy, I waited till everyone was about done changing
and headed in. Looking around I tried and changed as quick as I could,
`BAM' (Dame it...)


"Well well look who's in a hurry this morning..." growled Kyle, I was done
by the time he said those words to me. " Just don't want the coach yelling
at me again." I said with my back to him. I closed my locker and made a
move to my left and his came to back me, "Did I say you could go..." He
said growling at me. He grabbed my shoulder and shoved me up against the
locker next to mine, " Just like last night, You thing you can leave with
out me saying so...Huh" He said with and edge in his voice.


I was shaking as he grabbed my chin and had me look up at him, "Why did you
run out?" He asked me holding my face in his hand, "I-I--I had to get home
in a hurry last night." I stuttered back to him, "then why are you avoiding
me? That's not very nice now is it Kai." he said with some edge left in his
voice. He sounds almost frustrated at me, "Move it girls we haven't got all
day!" Yelled coach. "We'll continue this later, and don't run away from
me. Got that Kai" He said to me and walked away.


After that everything was all a blur as I walked to my locker to get my
books, I felt a hand on my shoulder and jumped against my
locker. "Woo... are you ok?" Matt asked with a worried look on his
face. "Y-y-ya , you just surprised me a little." I said back to him trying
to sound natural. " Kai what going on? You been acting funny all morning."
Matt said to me. "Its nothing really, lets get going the guy's are waiting
for us remember." I said walking away.


"Finally dude what kept you two?" Johnny asked, I looked away trying to
avoid the question. "ask him he's been all freaky on me all morning." Matt
said with a little annoyance. I glared at him hard, "Nothings wrong, Just a
lot on my mind that's all." I said to them. Jen looked at me kind of funny
and then smiled, "Maybe he's in love?" She said. They all looked at me and
Matt almost fell on the floor when he was about to take his seat.


"Oh come on now Kai, Who's the lucky guy? Come on you can tell us." Jen
asked even more curious then before. Johnny was calling the name of every
guy he though were gay. Kelly was looking at my bag for any clue's as to
who he could be. And Matt just kept his head down not saying a word. "Jen
there's no guy so stop with the names Johnny and Kel leave my bag alone." I
said a little annoyed. Nothing was said after that but Matt just said
nothing and kept to himself, After lunch we all headed to our classes for
the final day of school.


`Brrrring' The last bell for school, Everyone was out running for the bus
or to there cars. I walked to meet them, I was pulled into a class room and
heard the door close and the blind pulled down. And two arms went over my
shoulders to keep me in the corner, "Going somewhere." asked Kyle. "Home I
have to get home and make dinner before I head to the fair tonight." I said
to him.


"Your going to the fair tonight?" He asked me, "Ya with Matt and the
others." I told him and looked away. "Look at me Kai" He whispered, I just
shook my head and Closed my eyes. "Look at me!" He said with a bit more
force. And still I didn't look, He grabbed my chin and turned my head and
said "Open your eyes." When I open them he was looking at me the same why
as last night. He leaned down bringing his face close to mine, "Stop Kyle,
Please stop." I asked him almost in tears.


`BAM' the door was kicked in, "Get the fuck away from him or you ass is
mine." Matt growled, "NOW!!!" He shouted. Kyle pulled away from me and
whispered "see ya later" and he was gone, I slumped down to the floor
shaking not able to move my body. Matt came to my side and asked if I was
ok. All I could do was nod my head, He got my book bag and pulled on to his
shoulder and came and carried my out to the hall which was empty by now.

The others left on Johnny's car so I would only be Matt and me, He got me
in and buckled me in, and we left the school parking lot.

We went to my house and I pulled my self together on the way. "Thanks Matt,
I don't know what he would have done if you hadn't come along." I said with
a smile and a nervous laugh, But he just stood there looking down. He's
whole body was shaking. "Matt are you ok?" I asked walking to him, "Matt?"

I was about to lay my hand on his shoulder when he grabbed it and pulled me
in to him. " Matt come on stop it you goof." I said but he just held on
"No, Not anymore Kai...I won't hold back anymore." He said back to
me. "Matt, what's going on? What are you talking about?" I asked
him..."Matt answer me." I yelled at him trying to brake free from his
embrace, "Don't...Don't pull away Kai" Matt said making me stop my
struggle. "Kai" Matt began, "Kai I-I-....
