Subject: The Snow Prince (Chapter 8)

			      The Snow Prince

"You Look amazing Kai, I don`t think I have ever seen someone more
beautiful." Andrew said to me, "Uh thank you, You look very handsome
tonight." I said blushing at his comment.


He did look handsome in his Ivory white suit, He took off his jacket and
showed a long sleeve white button shirt that fit his muscular body
perfectly. He smiled and said "Where did you get your clothes? I don't
think I have ever seen those designs anywhere.".


"Umm, Well when I was little my mom showed me how to make clothes or design
them. So I guess there my own design." I said blushing a little, " Just
when I think I know you, You find a way to surprise me even more." He said
with a smile.


He walked over to me and wrapped his arms around me, his hand come and
lifted my chin up so he could look in to my eyes. He lean his head and
brought his lips to mine, from that one kiss I felt like I would melt away.


My body shook as he held me tight to him, His hand left my chin and made
its way down my arm and down to my back. As he pulled away I was left with
the need for more, (God help me, If he kisses me like this every time I
might jump him right here right now.).


He lead me to my chair and pulled it back for me, He sure is a
gentlemen. He walk over to his own chair and sat down. The waiter came and
asked if we were ready to order our food, (Who could think of food, I was
in heaven a few minutes ago.).


"Do by any chance have cristal?" Andrew asked the waiter, "Yes sir we
do. Would you like a bottle?" The guy asked. "Yes, that would be
great. Thank you." Andrew said to him. The waiter nodded and walked out.


"Andrew you don't have to get something so expensive, Waters just fine with
me and besides I'm only 17." I said to him, he just smiled and said "Don't
worry about it, Everything's on me tonight. All you have to do is enjoy
yourself, But not to much I don't want your father to think I got you
drunk." He said with a smile.


"Now you better pick something to eat, I don't care how much it costs." He
said to me, "Are you sure, I don't want you to think you have to impress me
or spend a lot of money on me." I said to him.



"Kai don't worry about it, My family is very well off so and I want to show
you a good time." He said with a smile. "Now don't think about it anymore,
I want to know more about you." He continued.


"well what would you like to know?" I asked, "How about your family? I want
to know more about them." he said. "Well right now its just me and my dad,
Dad just got a girlfriend and He's happy now." I said, "What about your
mother what's she like?" He asked. He saw my face change and knew he
shouldn't have asked, "Kai, You don't have to answer that. If its something
you don't want to talk about you don't have to." He said sounding worried.


"No its alright, Mom passed away 3 years ago. She was my an amazing women,
Me and her would always skate and hangout it was like we were best friends
rather then mother and son." I said with a small smile.


"She taught me how to skate and all kinds of things, cooking too. We spent
so much time together we were inseparable." I continued. " She was always
there for me and dad that we never though we would lose her so soon."


The waiter came back with the bottle and a bucket of ice, "are you ready to
order now?" He asked, "Yes, Could I have the grilled salmon please." I said
to him. "I'll have the stake medium rare." Andrew said "Would you like bake
potato or fries?" The waiter asked. "Potato please" Andrew said. "Is that
all for the both of you?" He asked "Yes thank you." Andrew said.


As the waiter walked out Andrew turned and looked at me, I rubbed the
crystal on the necklace looking down at the china set on the table. "Kai
what is that your rubbing?" Andrew asked.


"This, well it belonged to my mother." I let the crystal go and showed it
to him. He's eyes grew wide and his mouth hung open, and he was shaking a
little. "Andrew are you alright?" I asked getting a little worried.


"K-k-Kai what was your mother's name?" He asked , "It was Angela" I said to
him. He looked down and asked "What happened how did she die?". "She was
caught in a blizzard while on her way home, Witnesses say she swerved the
car to avoid hitting a deer and was hit by a truck going the opposite way."
I said to him.


"Can you excuse me for a minute." He said getting up. "Uh sure, Are you
sure you ok?" I said. "Yes, I'll be right back." He said and walked out. (I
hope he's alright) I though to myself.


I got up and walked to the window, Looking out I felt almost alone, Lost
after telling Andrew about my mothers death. I thought back to the days of
my past, remembering my mother and her warmth and caring ways.


"Kai, Sweetheart come here. Come here and look at this." She said to me,
Little 5 year old me made my way to her. "Look here, it's a baby blue
Jay. I looks like it fell out of its nest." Mommy said to me.


"What are we going to do Mommy should we put it back." I asked, "We can't
baby, its other brothers and sisters must have pushed it out. There just
going to push him back out if we put him back in.


"Why would they do that to there own brother? That's just mean." I said
getting a little upset about it. Mom just smiled at me and said "That's
just the way this are baby, But I'll tell you what why don't we take him
home with up and keep him safe and warm until spring."


"Really Mommy can we do that, Please I'll take real good care of
him. Please mommy." I begged my mother. She laughed and said "Alright baby,
But you have to take good care of him ok." "I will I promise." I said
smiling up at her.


We took the little bird him with us and mommy helped me take care of him,
When Spring came we went to the pond and we set Little Jay (That's what I
called him) free. "Now he's going to go and find himself a little blue jay
wife and have little baby's of his own. I'm so proud of you baby, You saved
his life and took good care of him." Mommy said giving me a kiss on my
cheek.


" Will I ever see him again mommy?" I asked , "I'm sure you will baby, he's
always going to be around." Mommy said to me as we walked back to the car.

I looked up to the cloud covers sky and saw the moon peeking through, "Mom,
I saw Little Jay's Grand kids last spring. They always nest on the big tree
near the house." Is said to the sky.


"You were right, I always see him in his kids and grandkids. I just wish
you were here to see them too." I said with tears filled eye's. I felt two
strong arms around me and felt lips kiss my neck and my cheek.


"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have made you talk about losing your mom." Andrew
whispered to me. He sooth me with kisses and after a few minutes I calmed
down. We went back to our seats and I thanked him for calming me down.


"So Andrew what about your family? Do you have brothers or sisters or are
you an only child?" I asked, "well I have two brother and a sister and I
never really knew my dad." "Wow, Your so luck I wish I had a brother or
sister." I said to him.


"What are there name's? That's not asking to much is it, You don't really
have to answer that if you don't want to." I said to him. He laughed and
said "Its ok, My brothers names are Chris and David and my sisters name is
Serena." He said to me.


"And your mother, What's she like?" I asked "Well mom is mom, Always taking
care of everything and everyone, Making sure we do our work well things
like that." "What's her name?" I asked "Gaia" He said.


"Wow Gaia, I think I've heard that name. Isn't that the Spirit for the
earths name?" I asked. "Ya it is My grandparents named her after that." He
said. "Cool, I bet she's a great mom." I said to him. He just smiles and
nodded his head.


We continued to talk and he poured me a drink of the cristal and our food
came, We ate and talked about what we love to do and what we want to do
with our lives. We laughed and had a good time, After our meal he ordered
dissert. When it came he had a big smile on his face, It was a small cake
with ice blue frosting and little snow flacks made of sugar.


"Thank you, this is amazing." I said to the waiter with a smile, "The
gentlemen called early and asked the chef to make it. Its one of a kind I
have to say." the waiter said with a smile on his face. "Enjoy you dissert"
He said with a smile "Will that be all for tonight sir?" He asked Andrew.


"Yes thank you." Andrew said to him, the waiter made his way out. "Andrew,
this is amazing thank you." I said to him. "I'm glad you like it, I
remember you said you liked the snow so I though you'd like something
special for dissert." He said with a smile.

After I finished the cake, which by the way tasted better then it
looked. Andrew paid the bill and we made our way to the lodge's fireplace
and sat in the love seat. After an hour of just sitting there enjoying each
others company, My head laid on his chest he asked "are you ready for the
second part of the night?" He asked.


I lifted my head up and said "There's more?" which made him laugh and said
"Yes there's one more surprise for you. Are you ready?" He asked me. I just
nodded my head and he got up and gave me his hand.


I took it and we walked to the door in front of the lodge and stopped, He
told me to close my eyed and trust him. I did and he led me out, his arm
came around my shoulder leading the way outside.


I heard a sound that was kind of strange, we came to a stop and I heard
heavy breathing. "Alright are you ready?" Andrew asked, "Yes" I said
back. "Alright open your eyes" He said to me.When I opened my eyes I saw
the most beautiful white horse I have ever seen, and along with it was a
white slay with a driver in all with holding the rings. I looked back at
Andrew who just smile and led me to it.


He got on and helped me in, Taking the white blanket and covered both of us
he said to the driver "Were all is lets go." the driver smiled and
nodded. The slay began to move and we made our way down along the side of
the lodge, Going through the woods the sound of the bells on the rings
jingled.

Andrew put his arm around me and drew me close to him, "Andrew this is
amazing, thank you for this." I said to him. He smiled and said "Its worth
is seeing your face light up like that.".


He leaned in to me and kissed me, I was swept way in the kiss I forgot that
there was someone else here with us. The man laughed which brought me out
of the kiss and made me blush like a school girl, "Ah it must be nice to be
so young and in love." He said to the both of us.


Andrew just smile and said "Yes, I don't think I could live with out this
amazing young man." That only made me blush even more. I smile at the man
and said "And I don't think I could live with out this man as well."


Now it was Andrew's turn to blush, He looked so cute. "Andrew if you don't
mind can I ask you a question?" I asked, He laughed and said "You just
did." That made me laugh and say "Alright can I ask you another question?"
he smiled and said "But you already did."Ok I had to admit that was funny
and it made me laugh, "Andrew, Come on you know what I mean." I said to
him. Laughing he said "alright go ahead.", "Umm, How old are you?" I asked.


"Well I'm 25, why do's age matter to you?" He asked kind of worried, "No
not at all, I just wanted to now." Is said to him. "Kai can I ask you
something?" he asked , (Alright payback time) "You just did." I said with a
smirk on my face.


He laughed and shook his head. "Alright smart guy you know what I mean." I
laughed and said "Alright go ahead." I said back to him. "When is your
birthday?" He asked, "Its January 4th ."He just nodded his head and reached
in to his coat pocket and took out a small box, "well Happy early
Birthday." He said to me. I brought my head out of the blanket and slowly
took the box from him.


I opened it and saw a sapphire shaped like a cross on a white gold band. I
looked at him and he lead in and kissed me. As he pulled away he asked
"Well do you like it?", "Andrew this is to much I can't take this." I said
to him.


He took the ring out and said "Give me your hand" I gave it to him and he
slipped it in my left hand. "I'm not going to ask you to marry me, I just
want to show you how much you mean to me. When your 18 and were still
together I'll ask you to marry me." Was all he said.


I smiled and Kissed him, and like magic snow began to fall. I broke the
kiss and looked up, It was as if mom was up there looking at us and telling
me she was happy for me. I had tears in my eye's, "Kai what is it? Are you
ok?" Andrew asked worried that he did something wrong.


"Yes, I'm alright. I'm just happy that's all." I said to him. We rode for
an hour and I just laid my head on his chest hearing his heart beat. We
rode back to the lodge and Andrew helped me out of the slay.


"Andrew I had the most amazing time of my life, I really don't know what to
say." I said to him, "I don't even think thank you is enough" I added. "I'm
glad you enjoyed yourself. Your someone special Kai, And everyone who knows
you knows it." He said to me.


I kissed him this time, His arms went around me and I didn't want to let
him go. But It was getting late and I had to get home. I pulled back and he
walked me to my car, "Drive safe ok, I don't want anything happening to
you." He said to me. "I will thanks again for the wonderful night. I kissed
him for the last time and got in to my car.


I saw him wave to me as I pulled out of the parking lot Driving I couldn't
stop smiling at what happened tonight. I don't even know how I got home so
fast, I got out and locked my car and closed the garage.I unlocked the door
and went in "Dad, Lilly I'm home." I yelled. "In the living room Kai." I
heard dad say. I made my way to the living room and saw then in the love
sit, "well looks like you guys had a good evening." I said to them.


"Yes we did, Your dad here cooked us dinner and set a romantic table."
Lilly said to me, "Wow dad I guess those cooking classes paid off." I said
to him. He just smiled and asked "So how was your date?", ok now it was my
turn to blush.


"It was amazing, Andrew such an amazing guy." I said all dreamy eyed I'm
sure. "Alright well I'm going to call it a night guys. See you in the
mourning, Good Night." I said. "Alright good night kid." Dad said , "Good
Night Kai" Lilly said.


I went to my room and changed in to the jersey Matt gave me along with my
silk pajama shorts. I laid down on my bed, I brought my left hand up and
looked at the ring Andrew gave me. A smile came upon my face, What a hold
this man has on my heart.


I opened my mothers music box and listened to the melody slowly falling
asleep thinking of the man who's kiss lights the fire with in my very soul.
