"You're Not in Kansas Anymore Toto"

Mark and Lyle had just had an amazing holiday in Benidorm, Spain. This was
their first holiday together since they had come out to their parents. Mark
was 21 and Lyle 22, and had known each other for most of their lives.

"So, what do you think?" Lyle asked, as they were going through departures
at Alicante airport. "I don't know, Lyle" Mark replied. "It's a big step"
he added.

"He offered both of us a job for the summer" replied Lyle. "Room and board
included" he added. "It would be good for the summer; I mean, you don't
start that internship until November, anyway" begged Lyle.

"Look, babe, I will think about it. He gave us a week to let him know,
anyway...right?" replied Mark.

They sat in departures, looking at some of the photos taken during this
trip. They flipped through them and came to the one that still shocked
them somewhat.

"Well, they say everyone has one, babe" responded Lyle. "Yeah, I know, but
shit, he looks just like you. Fuck, he could be your twin" added Mark,
looking at a picture taken in a bar, showing a stranger that looked to be
the double of Lyle.

Soon, the announcement informing them to go to their gate for boarding was
heard.

They both went through passport control and stood in the queue waiting to
board the plane back to Manchester.

They took their respective seats and soon they were off.

"Ladies and Gentleman, this is Captain James, we are now cruising at 36000
feet and expect to take about two hours and forty minutes to arrive at
Manchester airport; on time. The current temperature is around 20 degrees
and the skies are clear; so sit back, relax, and enjoy your flight" said
the captain.

"Okay, let's do it" said Mark, out of the blue.

"Huh" said a now sleepy Lyle. "Ring Jose tomorrow and accept the jobs; we
can fly out in a couple of weeks, before the mad rush" Mark added.

Lyle leaned over and quickly kissed his lover on the cheek, so as not to
offend other passengers; the easily offended ones, anyway.

Two hours into the flight, the plane hit some heavy turbulence and dropped
all of a sudden. The `fasten your seat belt' sign started flashing; the
boys did not hesitate and quickly fastened tight. "Hold my hand" Lyle said
to Mark.

The plane jerked again, and dropped again; this was now getting way too
scary, and the boys held each other's hands tight. Screams could be heard
throughout the cabin. "Ladies and gentleman, we apologise for the
roughness of the flight. We are trying to get out of the turbulence and
should land in approximately 20 minutes" the captain announced.

"Sooner, if we crash" Mark whispered. "Don't even joke about that, please"
pleaded Lyle.

Suddenly, the flight was bathed in light; the cabin was full of startlingly
bright light. Mark thought they were about to die, as did Lyle.

"I love you, Mark" he said. He closed his eyes and waited for the end to
come.

"Lyle, you okay, babe?" said Mark, patting his face. "What...What
happened?" Lyle asked.

"No clue" Mark replied.

"Ladies and gentleman, I can't explain this, but we are not where we are
supposed to be. Two minutes ago we were over England, making out descent
into Manchester; now our instruments are saying we are off the coast of
Florida. I am trying to contact airport control, and I will get back to
you as soon as possible with more information" the captain ended.

"W.T.F" asked Lyle, "is this a joke? Did we even have enough fuel to get
this far off course?" Lyle added. "That bright light" wondered Mark.
"Could it have been like the Bermuda triangle or something?" Mark added.

"Nah, the captain is pissing with us" Lyle added.

Mark looked out of the window and spotted the Florida coastline, but
something was different; no boats, no buildings evident, nobody could be
seen, no structures at all.

"Don't think so, babe, look" he said to Lyle. He looked and looked.
"Nothing there" he replied.

Half an hour passed with no contact from the captain. The boys and the
other passengers became very anxious, as well as the cabin crew; and with
good reason.

"Sorry folks, we cannot get any reply from anyone. We did spot a large
area about ten miles back, so we are going to set down there. When we
shout for you to brace, please do so. Once the plane comes to a stop, the
emergency chutes will be deployed. You will leave the aircraft via those
chutes, and please don't hurry; we can all get out safely" he instructed.

"What's going on?" we heard an old man yell. "Where is the airport?" he
continued to yell. "Sir, please sit back down, we are landing" the
stewardess yelled at him. He did as he was told.

"Not using this airline again, Mable" he turned and said to his wife.

A wry smile came across Mark and Lyle's faces at that comment.

"BRACE! BRACE!" the captain yelled, and the plane skidded through bushes
and undergrowth; it skidded and spun. It did not flip over, but a wing was
torn off as it dug deep into the ground.

The doors were opened and the chutes deployed. A few bumps could be seen
on various passengers, but nothing serious.

Mark and Lyle, along with 118 other people, looked at the plane. It was
wrecked, but there were no fires; and the captain climbed down a ladder
from the front of the plane.

"Look folks, I cannot explain what has happened, but our instruments went
crazy for a while; and then showed we were approaching the US coast.
Despite the land configuration seeming like the Florida coast, it's not the
Florida that I know" he added.

"Captain, that light" asked a stewardess. "Yes Mary, I know what you are
thinking, but I don't know. I mean, really" he said, making no sense.

"Captain, what does she mean?" asked a passenger.

"Sir, about a year ago, a French airliner went missing, approaching Charles
De Gaulle airport. He reported seeing a bright light. The authorities
blamed terrorists for shooting it down; no wreckage was ever found" he
replied.

"You mean you think what happened to that plane has happened to us?" Lyle
asked, looking rather puzzled. "Sir, you know as much as I do" the Captain
responded.

"Look people, we need to find shelter and some food. There is not a lot
left on the plane, and we can use some of the materials from the plane to
make shelters" Captain James said.

One of the passengers was an off duty soldier, and another, a paramedic.
There was two GP's and one who worked at a nature reserve.

"Look, just pick what Mrs Lipton says, she knows about this stuff. Or
Terry, he is a Royal Marine, so they know what we can and cannot eat"
Captain James yelled.

"Why don't we just sit tight; help will be on the way" the old guy shouted,
sitting next to his wife.

"Sir, look around you; this is Florida. The Florida I know is covered in
condos and swimming pools. Do you see any of those things?" Captain James
berated the old guy, getting agitated.

"We are not in Kansas anymore, Toto" he added, with a smirk.

"What?" the old guy asked, now sounding somewhat pissed. "Sir, we have
travelled to I am not sure where, or, most important, when!!" Captain James
replied.

"Poppycock, you have just gotten lost; admit it" the man yelled back.

"Sir, we were over England, the skies were clear. We hit unexplained
turbulence and then that light, can you explain that light, because I
cannot; and two minutes later we were here" he yelled, getting most of the
group's attention.

The old man sat back down on a rock next to his wife, looking confused and
lost. "Sir, I am sorry, but we need to stick together and work out what
has happened, and how we go on from here" Captain James said in a lower,
more sympathetic tone.

A scream came from a group of passengers about 200yds from Mark and Lyle.
"Look, what the fuck is that?" a woman yelled.

"Shit! Run for the trees" someone else yelled. They all ran and looked at
the skies, where a bird like creature was swooping down. It looked like a
pterodactyl, or something similar. Mark ran, holding onto Lyle. "Oh fuck!
look" Lyle yelled, as the creature scooped up the old man's wife and
carried her off.

"Mable" he yelled, "Bring her back, you fucker" he screamed, dropping to
his knees. "Mable" he wept. The people looked on lost and terrified; and
all would have the same thought right then: better her than me.

The Paramedic looked to the skies, then walked back and picked the old man
up and brought him to the group.

"That was a fucking dinosaur" someone yelled. "It was, wasn't it? I
wasn't imagining that shit, right?" he added. Nobody spoke; too terrified
to contemplate.

The Captain went and spoke to the Nature woman, Mrs Lipton. "You see
anything like that before?" He asked. "Nobody has, not in 30 million
years, anyway" she replied. "But Captain, something is off here" she
added.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

"You said you recognised this as Florida, right?" she asked.

"Yeah, so?" he replied.

"Captain, Florida was one massive land mass 30 million years ago. This
coast line is now, our present; that thing should not be here" she
insisted.

"So, this is not a time travel thing, then?" Mark asked.

"No, I don't think so. The land is wrong for a start. Alternate reality,
yeah, maybe" she surmised.

"This is too much like the Twilight Zone to be funny" Captain James
retorted. "But, from what I have seen so far, I am prepared to consider
anything" He added.

After about three hours, the Royal marine and several men returned,
carrying fruit and water. He approached the captain, and Lyle and Mark
were standing next to Mrs Lipton as he reported his findings.

"Trees, just trees; no sign of humanity, nothing. I did see something I
couldn't believe, at first" he started. "I saw dinosaurs, hundreds of
them" he added.

"Dinosaurs, during the Jurassic period, preceded man. They never
coexisted. The asteroid that hit just off the South American coast killed
them off" Mrs Lipton replied.

"Well, Mrs, humanity is not here; except for us, that is" the Marine
replied.

"We need to build shelter, we need weapons of some sort; that creature
knows we are here, and will be back for more food" The Marine added.

"I spotted some caves. It won't give us all cover, but some" The Marine
added further.

"How far?" Captain James asked.

"A mile at most" he replied.

"Okay people, we need to keep moving. We need to find shelter before
nightfall. The plane is no good, too much damage to the fuselage. We will
come back tomorrow and salvage what we can. Grab some water, and as much as
you can carry; follow Marine specialist" he started and looked at the
soldier. "Jarvis" the Marine replied.

"Follow Jarvis, he spotted some caves and we can use them for tonight"
Captain James yelled, getting a few moans and groans from his former
passengers.

"Mark, look over there. Does that tree line seem to be distorted?" Lyle
asked. "Probably the Sun" Mark replied. "I don't think so, look" and Mark
looked at the tree line about a mile away, and it did look distorted.

"Captain, Jarvis" Mark shouted.

"Look at that" Lyle said, pointing at the tree line.

"It's a trick of the light" Jarvis replied.

"The sun is going down, that shouldn't happen. Perhaps we should check it
out" Mark added.

"Guys, we need to find shelter. We don't know what manner of beast comes
out at night. Remember, in our Florida, alligators roam around here; and if
they have evolved differently here, I do not want to meet them in the dark"
Captain James added.

"We can check it out in the morning when we come back to salvage what we
can" Jarvis replied, looking over at the tree line. "Might be worth a look
see" he added.

"I've flown over this area dozens of times, the terrain is correct, the
deltas are in the right place, a highway ran through this area; it just
looks like man has never set foot here at all" Captain James went on.

"I think Lipton might be right; this is an Earth where the dinosaurs still
roam free" he added.

"Not just that, though, these creatures were around 30 million years ago;
but evolution dictates that they should have evolved. They look trapped in
time, no changes" Lipton went on, more confused the more she thought about
it.

Mark looked on,, totally bemused; still unable to fathom out what has
happened since leaving Alicante airport.

"I wish we did go to Ibiza, babe" Mark said, holding onto Lyle's hand.
"What, and miss this?" he said with a smirk, but convincing nobody.

"Just thought of something" Lyle said.

"What?" Mark questioned.

"Looking at this lot, we may be the only gay couple on this version of
Earth" he said with a wry smile. Jarvis heard what was said and came over
and put his hand on both their shoulders.

"Okay, one thing to lessen the stress, guys; no, you are not" he said, then
let go and walked back toward the group.

"Jarvis, wait up" Mark yelled, and he slowed.

"Explain" Mark asked.

"Okay, I don't think it fucking matters now, anyway" he started.

"Tommy, come over here a sec, will you?" he yelled into the group, and a
dark haired guy, about 24, walked over, a little sheepish.

"Guys my name is Terry Jarvis, and this is Tommy Moore; and you are?" he
asked.

"Oh, Lyle Cranston and Mark Lovell" Lyle replied.

"Okay, Mark, Lyle, Tommy is my boyfriend and has been for 8 years; and you
two?" he asked.

"We have known each other most of our lives, we have been boyfriends for
about 4 years; we told our parents only a few months back, though" added
Lyle, and he grabbed Mark's hand and squeezed.

"It's nice to meet you both; just wish it was under different
circumstances" replied Tommy. "Plus, I know of at least 5 other gay guys
on this flight; I spotted them in the gay village in Benidorm, and let's
just say the dancing they were doing, the so called straights wouldn't
attempt" Tommy snickered.

"Okay, babe, we are not alone, and the Marine is on our side" Mark laughed
at Lyle.

Jarvis peeled off and approached the Captain and pointed over to the west,
and we changed course. We spotted another distortion on the horizon.
"Fuck, look over there" said Jarvis. "That is not a trick of the light" he
added.

"It's on our way, we can check it out" Captain James replied.

An hour later they came to the distortion. He reached out and put his hand
to it. His hand felt cold, but then warmer, as it passed through the
barrier.

"I'm going in" he said, looking at Jarvis. "Hang on, I'll come with you"
replied Jarvis. "You are not going without me" insisted Tommy. "Hang on,
we are coming, too" yelled Lyle. "We are?" Mark looked at Lyle in
disbelief.

"Come on, babe, the gay Marine is going through" he replied.

"Fuckfuckfuck" Mark muttered under his breath.

The five guys stood on the threshold of the distortion and walked through.
It took mere seconds, and as soon as they passed through, they found
themselves still in Florida; but totally different. They looked around and
spotted makeshift roads, and also spotted fields with an ape-like man
tending the crops.

"Fuck, planet of the apes" Jarvis commented.

We just looked on and made no comment. Then we saw what looked like a
human on horseback, ride into the field and whip the ape like worker.
Obviously some sort of slave worker from a primate background.

He rode over toward us and stopped. "Can I help you folks?" he asked.
"Sir, what is the date?" Captain James asked. "Strange question" he
replied. " That uniform, you a soldier?" he asked, looking at Captain
James.

"No sir, I am a pilot" he responded. "A what, now?" he replied. "I fly
planes" James went on. "Never heard of planes" the man on horseback
responded.

"The date, sir?" Jarvis asked,

"Why it will be April, April 2013; the exact day, I could not tell you" he
responded.

"How far is the nearest town?" Jarvis asked.

"Jacksonville is about 4 days, walking that away" he pointed.

"Do you not have any transport, a car or a van perhaps?" Jarvis asked.

"Planes and car and a van" he looked confused.

"I never heard of those things. I just got my horse, my bullock, and these
apes; no need for anything else" he responded.

"Sorry sir, we will be on our way" Jarvis replied, and the rider rode off,
back toward his fields. "Come on, let's get back; we need to check out
these other distortions" Jarvis added, and the Captain agreed.

"Looks like these distortions lead to other realities, and we probably flew
through one" added Captain James. "So, Twilight Zone" Tommy added, as we
walked back to our previous time zone.

"By the looks of it, the inhabitants of the time period cannot see the
distortions; or natural curiosity would have them wandering through, and
they had already noticed that humanity had not set foot on this reality
except their own.

"So, shelter tonight and we check the distortion by the tree line back near
the plane, tomorrow" Jarvis said, smiling at Mark and Lyle.

They continued on to the area where Jarvis had seen the caves; he looked
inside and saw no signs of any inhabitants, past or present. They started
a fire to keep predators away. They accommodated nearly 70 people inside
the caves, and the rest in makeshift shelters made from branches and
leaves. They had a quiet night, with seven standing guard at two hour
intervals.

As the sun rose in the sky, people walked around, looking for some place to
relieve themselves. "People, please don't wander off alone; go in groups of
five or six, and keep your eyes open" Captain James instructed.

"Captain" the co-pilot said, walking up to him. "Yes, Peter" he said, as
he approached. "The old guy, he's not here" Peter replied. "Fuck, the one
that saw his wife taken" he replied, and Peter just nodded in agreement.

"When was the last time anyone saw him?" Captain James asked.

"Lucas, the paramedic saw him last, I think" Jarvis replied.

Ten minutes passed, and Lucas walked over.

"I just heard; he wanted to go look for his wife. Captain, he is in his
seventies and pretty grief stricken. I have not seen him for a few hours
and I wouldn't hold much hope for him alone out there." he added.

"Okay, we are heading back to the aircraft. We will keep an eye out for
him, okay guys?" Captain James added.

An hour later, a contingent of forty people headed back toward the airplane
to collect some things that could be used while they were stuck there.

"Jarvis look, do you see that?" Captain James said, pointing over to a lump
of something on the horizon. "What is it?" Mark asked. "Don't know, but
it's not natural" Jarvis replied.

They walked toward the thing that had caught their attention. It was the
back section of a Lancaster bomber, the logo of the RAF evident; but it was
so old it was crumbling.

"Must have come through the same distortion we did, but during the war"
Jarvis replied. "The distortion only took the back section, look, a clean
cut" he added, looking at the straight cut at the tail.

"Think there are many distortions here? We have seen two already" Mark
said, looking over at the tail end of the plane.

"Three" replied Tommy.

"What, where?" asked Jarvis?

"Toward the coast" he replied, and pointed to the distortion near the
coast.

"That wasn't there before" Lyle responded.

"We might be becoming indigenous to this timeline, and not able to see them
as clearly. We need to find a suitable one before we lose the ability to
see them" Tommy added.

"He's a scientist" replied Jarvis, with a smile.

"Physicist, lover" he corrected. "Sorry" he said, and smiled.

"This is a theory I never subscribed to, but multiverse is a theory well
known in the scientific community. I just never though it could be proven"
Tommy added.

"And now?" Mark responded.

"Well, Mark, it's in front of us, we are experiencing it; so proven it is"
replied Tommy.

"So, what is the theory, then?" Jarvis asked, and we looked on.

"Okay, if I remember right, the multiverse is revolving; it rotates around
the sun at the same speed as the Earth, so, when we came into contact with
the threshold, we were dragged in. Whatever reality was aligned at the
time we came through it, and at this juncture, it was a prehistoric one,
and the other had not developed the engine, so no car's planes, etc. and
as far as we could see, no electricity either" Tommy summed up.

"So, how many of these multiverses are there?" Mark asked.

"Good question. The theory is that there is a reality for every decision
anyone has ever made. For example, if you never declared your feelings to
the one you loved, and he moved on to someone else, there would be a
reality where that had happened, and so on; so the answer to your question
is incalculable.  All the realities are not necessarily within this zone;
there will be more in others" he concluded.

"So, the chance of finding our reality is?" Lyle asked.

"About ten trillion to one" replied Tommy.

"But, we don't need to find the exact one, just one we could live with.
This one is not it, agreed?" Captain James replied.

"Agreed" they all responded.

They talked of what action they would take. They talked about sending
groups to search out theses distortions and report back. They knew there
would be more to be discovered, but also knew that time was a factor.

They returned to the group before heading to the plane.

Tommy informed them of the theory of multiverse, and what they would have
to do to find a suitable place to live.

They talked of groups and four were formed; with the Captain leading one,
and Jarvis a second. The paramedic, along with one of the doctors, headed
the third; and Mrs Lipton headed the fourth. They would all report back
within 10 hours of leaving, and plant a marker so all knew which ones had
been mapped, and where to find you if difficulties occurred.

Mark and Lyle went with Terry Jarvis and Tommy, and the second Doctor; a
nurse remained with the rest of the passengers. A total of seven people
were in each group.

"Hey, this is Mark, I'm Lyle, this is Tommy and Terry, and you are?" I
asked the rest of our group. "Nick, Nick Lewis, Rob Billings, M.D." Rob
ended. "Stacy Maron" the only woman replied.

"Bet you all wished you went camping now, eh" Lyle said with a hint of
laughter. "Late deal" she replied with a snicker.

They travelled to the one they spotted earlier in the adventure, by the
trees. They knew Captain James was heading toward the beach. They had
told them of the one with the farmer with the slave apes, and to avoid it;
it was a no go.

"There it is, Terry" Tommy pointed out. "Okay, this way" Terry said, and
they headed toward the distortion in front of the trees.

They stopped about ten yards from the threshold and Terry tore off a strip
of his T-shirt and tied it to a stick and stuck it into the ground.

"Okay, let's go. Stay tight, guys" he added.

In seconds, they went through the other side. They could see searchlights
searching the skies, sirens sounding, and people running all over the
place.

"Shelters, get in the shelters" a warden yelled. "What's happening?"
Jarvis yelled. "War my boy. Germany has declared war on us, and Korea has
joined them in a full on assault. Russia and China have been destroyed,
now get in the shelter if you want to live" he added.

"Let's get back" Jarvis yelled.

"Wait, look" The Doctor yelled.

"It's that old guy, he came through here, look" he said, watching the old
man being escorted down into a shelter.

"Sorry Doc, we don't have time for him; we need to get moving" Jarvis
replied, as the first Nuke went off. "Fuck! Jump, quickly" Mark yelled,
as they jumped through the distortion.

As they all fell to the ground, the distortion vanished.

"So, that is information that helps" Tommy said, getting back to his feet.

"How?" Mark asked.

"Nukes make the threshold close off" he replied, and as soon as he
finished, the distortion reappeared. "Or not" Tommy added.

"How do we know it goes to the same place?" Rob asked. "Ermm, do you want
to go and check?" Jarvis asked. Silence followed.

"Thought not" he added.

"Okay, lets head to the plane and grab what we can, then head back to camp"
added Jarvis, and they headed back toward the wreck. When they arrived the
plane was being attacked by what looked like raptors, so, no salvage.

"Let's head back" Jarvis said disconsolate.

"They will have our scent from the plane" Rob said. We quickly headed back
to the camp. "The faster we find a world we can be comfortable in, the
better" Jarvis added. "As long as you are in it" Mark replied, looking at
Kyle, and they smiled. "You horn dog" he said, squeezing his ass.

They arrived and they were the second to arrive. Lipton was nursing a
wound on one of her group. "What happened?" Mark asked. "Fucking red
Indians, do you believe it, attacked by red Indians" she replied. "I lost
one, he was shot with an arrow, poor bastard" she added.

"And your zone?" she enquired.

"Oh, nuclear war, being bombed by Germany and Korea" Jarvis replied. "We
just managed to escape. Oh, and the old guy was there; must have stumbled
across it" Mark added.

"So, is he alive?" she asked

"I very much doubt it" Mark replied.

The paramedic group was next to return. "Hey guys, nothing doing, still an
ice age" he replied. "No signs of the Captain yet, then" Lyle said, as the
paramedic and his group sat in front of the fire.

"No, not yet" Lipton replied.

"It's only been six hours. We did say ten" Jarvis replied.

As a group they sought out food, mainly fruit. They ate and waited for the
captain and his group to return. They waited, and just as they were about
to get up and search for them,

"Hey guys, find anything?" the Captain asked. "Nothing usable, you?" asked
Jarvis.

"Home, but not home" he replied.

"It's Florida, looking like the one I knew, but not English. They are
Japanese or Chinese, Asian, anyway. We covered our faces like they had
done. The place was smoggy, but as soon as one of us took our mask off, we
were chased. We barely got out" James replied.

"This is going to take a while. We need to fan out and find more" Jarvis
responded.

"We need more groups, we need to search faster. We don't know how long we
will have the ability to see these distortions" Tommy bemoaned.

"Okay, find a spot to sleep, and we will start again at first light"
Captain James instructed.

"That slave farmer is looking very good right now" Jarvis replied, sitting
in front of the fire, and Tommy smiled. Mark grabbed the blanket they
salvaged on day one and huddled near a rock within the camp. Facing Lyle,
he slid his hands inside his shirt, the blanket now pulled over their
heads.

"Kiss me" Mark demanded.

"Babe, we can't, not here" Lyle replied.

"Fuck that. Kiss me" he insisted. Lyle leaned into him and took his lips
on his. Mark then slid his hands into his trousers. He wrapped his hand
around Lyle's cock. "Fuck Mark" he moaned out. "Only wish we could" he
replied. Their lips locked once again, as Mark brought Lyle to a quick and
satisfying climax.

"Oh, fuck!! That was amazing! I love you so much" Lyle said, his
breathing laboured. Lyle then slid his hand inside Mark's jeans, and
returned the favour. Mark came hard and fast, and they locked lips once
more. They removed the blanket from their heads and snuggled.

"Really guys, you couldn't have waited until we were asleep?" Jarvis sat by
the fire, with Tommy by his side. "Sorry, we needed each other, and needs
must" Lyle replied.

"Yeah okay, we know all too well" they smiled.

"You wanna take first watch, and erm let us borrow the blanket?" Jarvis
added.

Mark looked at Lyle and then at Terry and Tommy.

"Yeah, sure, we will wake you in a couple of hours" Mark replied, standing
up, re-adjusting himself, and trying to hide the wet spot.

Suddenly, they heard rustling around them, and then screams coming from the
outskirts of the camp. Then they heard screeches coming from all around
them.

"Everyone into the caves; now! For fucksake, run" yelled Jarvis. The
raptors had their scent and found the camp. They had taken and killed four
of the survivors before they could reach the security of the caves.

"Get some wood, quick; give me that blanket" Jarvis yelled at someone still
wrapped in it. He set fire to it and set it just at the mouth of the cave.
He threw wood on it to keep it lit.

"We need to find a home, and quick.  Anything half decent will have to do;
for a safe base, at least" Captain James said.

"We have lost at least seven since we arrived yesterday. It's unacceptable
to lose nobody else, got it?" he added, sounding pissed and frustrated.

Five more days went by, nothing but dead ends. They searched further
afield, and still nothing. The raptors kept attacking; and, despite
Captain James' demands, more of the passengers were eaten by their
tormentors. Wherever they camped, and however many stayed watch, people
were taken. In the six days they had been stranded in this strange world,
they had lost 19 people.

The groups dropped to three, but grew in number. There were now 20 per
group. The rest foraged for food and shelter.

"Terry, look, beside that rock face" Mark pointed at the base of a cliff.
He pointed at a distortion that looked promising; the last two, not at all.
One had cannibals, the other, a tribe of alligator Indians; green at that,
but spoke French for some reason.

"How the fuck do we get down?" Lyle asked. "We lower ourselves down"
Jarvis replied. "Look, let's cut some vines down and make a rope; if
Tarzan can do it, we can" responded Mark, with a laugh. "No need, guys; the
trail behind those trees leads down, so it must come out somewhere down
there" replied Tommy.

"Hmmm, smart AND cute as fuck" replied Jarvis.

They made their way down and came out about four hundred yards from the
threshold of the distortion.

"Now, let's hope this one can at least give us safe harbour as we search
further" added Jarvis, as they walked into the distortion. Soon, they were
all gathered on the other side; quiet, birds chirping, lush green meadows,
a river nearby.

"Okay, spread out. This looks okay, but let's not count our chickens just
yet" Jarvis said, looking at paradise. "This is beautiful" Tommy
whispered. "Yeah, but let's keep looking" Terry replied, looking into his
lovers eyes.

"Oranges" Mark yelled, "other fruit, too" he added. Soon, they heard a
loud buzzing sound; they looked up and a cloud came over, fast.

"W.T.F" moaned Tommy. "Fuck, it's a swarm; run for it" yelled Jarvis. As
they began to run, the bees stopped, and flew away to the north. "Wait,
please wait" they heard, coming through the trees "Please, wait, don't
leave". A man and a child ran out of the orchard.

"The bees don't attack, they help our crops. Look, please stay. A while,
at least" the man responded. "Look, there are not a lot of us left; the
plague took most of us, but there hasn't been a recorded case in 5 years.
It took my wife; and, if the news is anything to go by, over two thirds of
Earth's population died in the pandemic.

"You have electricity?" Jarvis asked.

"It's 2013, of course we have electricity" the man responded.

"So, what has happened? You yelled at us to stop" Jarvis replied.

"Our crops are due to be harvested. We lost half last year because of a
lack of labour. The world needs food and we can provide some, but a lot
ends up rotting in the fields. We have no animals; the cows all died off,
as did the sheep. The birds are still around, as are the bees. Thank God
for the bees" he added.

"Look, I know you are not from around here; came through a hole, I imagine"
the man added.

"You know about the distortions?" Jarvis asked? "Yeah, we used to be able
to see them; we even have a couple mapped out. Some have water that we
need, so we go through, sometimes" he said.

"You have some mapped?" Tommy asked.

"Yeah, they seem to be in the same place all the time, just some are safer
than others" he added. "Yeah, we know what you mean" Tommy responded.

"So will you stay, just to help with the harvest?" he asked, hoping the
travellers would.

"Can you provide shelter for 97 people?" Jarvis asked.

"It wouldn't be a struggle; some of the houses in town are empty, so we
should be able to" he replied, with a smile on his face. "This is my son,
Jeb" Hank added with a smile.

Over the next several hours, the passengers came through the distortion and
a feast was prepared; chicken and cornbread, fried duck, it was a feast.
Whiskey and beer flowed.

"He has several of the distortions mapped on this side" Jarvis informed
Captain James. "I think we will stay a while, help him out with his crops,
and perhaps use this as a safe haven to find a place closer to home"
Captain James replied.

"Fine by me, no raptors on this side" Jarvis smiled.

Tommy walked over to Mark and Lyle, still munching on cornbread. "We have a
house all mapped out while we stay here, want to share? You know,
like-minded folk" he added.

"Sure, I could use a real bed" Lyle replied.

"We have weapons now. Hank has given us 6 shot guns, and said there will
be more in town. There are about thirty people living here, but most are
old" Rob replied. "I am the first Doc they had seen in months" he added.

"This disease, Rob, is it still around?" Captain James asked. "Cannot
tell, Hank told me when it hit it hit quickly; 88 people died over night"
Rob concluded

"Just keep an eye out for anything out of the ordinary, coughs, etc."
Jarvis added.

"Hangovers" he added, and laughed.

The four guys headed to town to the house that Hank said they could use.
He owned it, but his sister lived in it, but she died during the plague.
They opened the door and the place looked lived in; a bit dusty, but
compared to the cave, it was a palace.

"You ready to be fucked senseless?" asked Terry, looking at Tommy, and a
smile spread across his face. "Fucked? Hell, yeah" Tommy replied.

"Jesus guys, let's get through the door" laughed Mark.

"Mark, I have wanted to fuck my lover for over a week; I have that
opportunity now, so fucking sue me if I start early and offend some fucker"
Terry berated Mark. "Jeeze, Terry, chill, I was only kidding. I am going
to pound Lyle's ass from now until Sunday, as soon as I find a room" Mark
snickered, and the shocked look on Lyle's face was a sight.

"Oh, don't look shocked; you know you want me in you" he added, looking at
Lyle.

"Need's must" smiled Terry, looking at Tommy.

"Yeah, needs must" added Mark, now kissing Lyle.

Both sets of guys found a room and made love all night. Mark pounded Lyle
like he loved it, banging his head off the headboard; while Terry did the
same with Tommy. They shared the house, worked hard and fucked hard. They
helped Hank with his crops and got all of the produce in. The trucks came
and collected a large quantity, and the guys began to get restless.

"Hank, thank you for your hospitality, but it's time we moved on. Some
have decided to stay on and make a life here in town. They are happy to
make a home here; and thank you for showing them they are welcome".
Captain James shook Hanks hand; he bid adieu to the 37 who decided to stay,
and wished them luck.

"I'm gonna miss that bed, babe" Mark said to Lyle, holding a rifle over his
shoulder, map in hand. The sixty remaining souls started out looking for a
way home, or as close to it as possible.

"Terry, where is the first one?" Mark asked.

"I have a theory. All the distortions are in the same places wherever you
are. Prehistoric, or, like this world, the layout is the same; so we don't
really need a map, except for those two. We never found those two" Terry
said, pointing at the map.

"That one's in the hill's" Mark said, pointing due south. "About five or
six miles" he added.

"Okay people, let's move" Captain James yelled, and no moans anymore. The
ones traveling were the fittest and healthiest among the passengers; and,
as Tommy added, the entire gay contingent from Benidorm still among them.

"Terry, keep a route. We may need to come back here; this might be the
best we find" Captain James informed, and Terry nodded in agreement.

Two hours later they came to the distortion in the mountains. They walked
through and looked down on a city. It was Florida, but it was still. They
used the telescope provided by Hank to look down into the city.

"Soldiers, look" yelled Lyle.

"Shut the fuck up" they heard someone yell behind them. "Who the fuck are
you, are you British?" someone asked. "Yeah" Jarvis replied.

"Sorry, man; it sucked what those assholes did to England" he said, coming
down from behind a rock. "Major James Hilliard, Florida militia" he
introduced himself.

"Koreans again?" bemoaned Jarvis, thinking of the Nuke attack in the other
alternate multiverse. "Yeah man, they killed so many Brits when they nuked
you" Hilliard added.

"The fuckers took us by surprise. Congress argued that it was not our war,
and overnight, the Koreans, with some help we believe from the German's,
invaded. They have the all the gulf states and are moving inland. They
nuked Montana as a warning" Hilliard continued.

"Where are you heading?" he asked. "Ermm, Jacksonville" captain James
replied.

"Well, good luck. Stick to the trees, stay off of the roads. They have
spy drones flying around" he added, and then vanished into the trees.

"Okay, this one is a bust; let's go" added Jarvis.

"So, in two worlds the US is invaded by Germany and North Korea; fuckers"
Jarvis moaned out walking back through the distortion.

"Makes you think though. Was this disease a sort of chemical warfare by
Korea that went terribly wrong?" Tommy questioned aloud. "Speculation: and
besides, different multiverse, remember?" replied Terry, squeezing Tommy's
hand slightly.

"Where the fuck is that bed when you need it?" whispered Tommy.

"Let's set up camp and get the griddle going; we can use some of the eggs
and some cornbread. Everyone set camp and designated cooks get cracking
those eggs; get fed and get some sleep. We head out again at first light"
Jarvis yelled.

Among the 37 who decided to stay was one of the Doctors and the paramedic.
Rob stayed with the main group, as did the nurse. Lipton stayed back, as
that was her ideal world environment and she relished the challenge.

"Fancy a walk before we eat?" Lyle asked Mark, and he agreed. They walked
down toward the treeline and into the trees. "This is beautiful" said
Mark, looking at the leaves and the flowers that covered the ground.

"You are beautiful" Lyle replied, dropping to his knees in front of Mark.
He stroked the outside of Mark's Jeans and he could feel him swell to full
mast. He undid the button fly and pulled out his rampant dick.

He licked the head and savoured the taste of his lovers' pre-cum.
"Hmmm. oh yeah" Mark moaned, as Lyle took him in deep. "Oh fuck baby, that
feels, ohhhhhh fuck" he moaned, as Lyle opened up his throat and took him
inside.

"Lyle, you are ffffffffff, ohhhhh, my goddddd" Mark struggled for words as
Lyle attacked his cock with everything he had. He wanted to satisfy the
only person that meant anything to him. His parents are in another
dimension somewhere, but Mark is here, his cock is in his mouth and his
throat.

"Oh baby, yeahhhhhh" he moaned, as he began to erupt deep into his lovers
guts; nothing wasted, nothing lost.

Lyle stood up and kissed his lover passionately and shared the taste of his
lover with him. "I love you so fucking much" Lyle said to Mark. "Fuck
baby, let me show you how much I love you". Mark turned around and propped
himself against a tree.

"Fuck me, Lyle, fuck me right here, right now". Lyle looked shocked; he
had never topped Mark, ever; and he was happy with that, Mark was an
amazing lover. "You sure, babe? I am happy with our roles as they are"
Lyle said softly.

"Get your fucking dick in my ass right now mister" Mark demanded.

Before Mark could say any more, Lyle slid into him. He was in heaven.
Mark showed a little discomfort at first, but Lyle's steady rhythm had him
moaning in pleasure very quickly. Fast, steady, long strokes had him
begging for more.

"Ohh fuck, yeah, harder baby, fuck me harder" Mark yelled, and Lyle did as
instructed. He hammered his lover hard against the tree. He soon erupted
inside his lover, coming hard and fast. His cock dropped out of Mark as
they kissed and held each other.

"It's better, alone, with no fear of raptors" responded Mark.

"Fuck yeah, let's go get some food; I'm starved" replied Lyle

"Given you an appetite, have I?" added Mark, with a smile. His arm was
wrapped around his lovers shoulders. A smile on Tommy's and Terry's face
said they knew what they had been doing; but neither Mark nor Lyle gave a
shit, and just returned the smile as they walked past, sheepishly.

"Okay, let's eat, and make camp for tonight" Terry Jarvis said, sitting
next to Tommy and Captain James. "These eggs are amazing" Tommy said, as
he shoved a second fork full into his mouth. "Yeah, corn fed chickens"
Terry replied.

All the guys ate well and settled in for the night. No sound of insects,
just the occasional sound of a passing bird or bee. "That owl is getting
on my nerves" said Terry, as an owl directly above his sleeping perch was
making a calling sound.

"Just ignore it, babe" Tommy said, pulling a blanket over his lovers head.
"Distract me" smirked Terry. "Yeah, this blanket thing is a good idea"
Tommy snickered.

"And they tell us to be discreet" whispered Lyle.

The guys all woke up at first light. All headed toward the trees to piss
off the morning flow; still difficult with erections. But, all boys,
together they managed.

They ate a quickly prepared breakfast and packed, ready to continue the
search to find a suitable portal and home.

"The next one is about three miles due south" Jarvis said, consulting the
map that Hank had given him. "The sun is up; looks a little like rain
coming" Captain James added.

"Look, Terry, over there" Tommy said, pointing at the sky. "A chopper. I
was wondering if this world had flight" Captain James replied. "Looks like
a TV one" Mark added. "Yeah, can't read what's on the side; wait, looks
like FC1TV News, yeah, that's it" Jarvis said, as they continued walking
due south.

Some forty minutes later they spotted a distortion not far from a river.
"Yeah, that's the second one. We never saw that one in the Jurassic Park"
added Lyle.

"Dinosaurs were all over the river, so we never checked" Jarvis said, as
they stopped just short of the threshold. "Okay, we will go in with ten at
first. Everyone else, set up a small camp, make some coffee; we will go
check it out, do a short re-con job" informed Jarvis.

"Doc, can you come with us, and Matt, Jake, Luis, Lyle, Mark, Stan, Jackie,
and Shauna. It is Shauna isn't it?" he asked, and she nodded. A rather
fit young lady strutted up into the group. "We will be back within the
hour" added Jarvis.

They group stood outside and Terry Jarvis walked forward, a few seconds
later they were on the other side. They walked up the river bank and tried
to see what this place offered. There were no condos, no pools. A western
style town was just over the hill, a steam locomotive stood on tracks at a
station, the Confederate flag flew over the town hall.

"The union did not win this timeline" Jarvis said, pointing at the flag.
"Yeah, look over there. They look like slaves, but not just blacks. Look,
they look Asian" Captain James pointed out.

"Stand up and drop your weapons" a loud voice from behind them yelled.
Matt swung around with his shotgun, but was taken out with a single shot to
the head. "Shit, stop firing, we surrender" Jarvis yelled, and all dropped
their weapons.

"Stand and put your hands on your heads, union scum" he spat out. They did
as instructed. They turned and Terry noticed he was alone, no back up.
"Who are you, sir?" Terry asked the uniformed soldier. He couldn't be any
more than 18. "Corporal Johnny Evans, 21st Florida infantry" he replied.

"And who is your commanding officer?" Terry asked, and before the soldier
could answer, Terry jumped and disarmed the kid without killing him.

"Now, just shut up and sit" Terry instructed. "I should kill you for what
you did here. We are just passing through and you killed one of mine" he
said, angrily.

"We are at war; you are perched on a hill looking at our town. What am I
supposed to do? I thought you were union soldiers, I have the right to
defend myself...don't I" he replied.

"Well kid, you can bury him; then we will be on our way" Jarvis replied.
"We should take him with us; he needs to answer for his crime" Captain
James insisted.

"Captain, normally I would agree; but recent events have clouded over
somewhat. Laws are different and circumstances again dictate a different
course of action. They are at war and we were looking over a hill at his
town. I would, in his shoes, come to the same conclusion. Let him bury
Matt and we will leave this fucked up place" Jarvis replied.

An hour later the group blindfolded the soldier and gagged him; tied him to
a tree in the open so he would be found, and headed back through the
distortion.

"We should have killed the little shit" one of the group groused. "And
that would make us no better than him" replied Tommy.

"Yeah, well..." the person trailed off.

"Look guys, take an hour. We need to let what has happened sink in; we
need to be better prepared for the next incursion" Terry informed them.
"Has anyone else got any military experience?" he asked the remaining
group.

"Yeah, me...and me" two people yelled and stepped forward. One was in his
fifties and the other not far behind him. "Your experience?" Terry asked.

"Northern Ireland, and the Falklands" one replied. "Falklands" the second
added. "Good, we have just lost a member of our group; shot by a
confederate soldier, a fucking kid" bemoaned Terry. "No shit" Larry, one
of the former marines replied.

"Mate, you have no idea what is out there" Terry added. "Jarvis, it is
Jarvis isn't it?" Larry started, "I have seen dinosaurs and all kinds of
shit in the past month; so, confederate soldiers, not high on the shock
factor" he added.

"Okay, we head out in twenty. Get some gear ready" Terry instructed.

"Did you kill the kid?" the other one asked.

"No. From his point of view, we were the enemy. What would you have
done?" Terry asked. "Pretty much the same; not our war, so why complicate
shit" Larry added, and walked back to the group to get his gear in order.

"They both look fit. We need experience out there" Terry said to Captain
James. "Agreed, but we have to keep looking, right?" he added.

"Yeah, but hopefully no fucking war zones, or wild animals that are from
prehistoric eras" Terry replied.

"Multiverses are unpredictable, babe" Tommy replied.

Mark had repacked his holdall, as did Lyle. "You two wanna sit this one
out? We have a couple of ex squaddies, so we are covered" said Terry,
looking at both Mark and Lyle. "You want us out?" Mark asked. "No, just
thought you could use a break is all" he replied.

"We are coming" Lyle replied.

"Okay, ten minutes, okay?" he responded and left.

They walked over seven miles to the next distortion, the light fading. They
set up camp and decided to wait until first light. This distortion, on the
other side on the Jurassic time zone, was just about to be destroyed by
nukes sent by N Korea and Germany; and they hoped that each one was
different, and not suffering the same outcome.

Mark was snuggled up to Lyle in the makeshift tent, covered in a light
blanket. The night was warm and sultry, and they could hear the birds and
the odd bee flying past.

"For Fucksake, is that owl following me?" Terry fumed.

"Looks like it, love" Tommy replied, pulling the blanket over Terry's head
once more. "You paying that bird so you can get into my pants?" Terry
snickered.

A few hours later the light was returning, and again the guys sought out a
place to piss off the morning flow; the remaining woman, likewise. They
ate a quick breakfast and warm coffee before heading into the distortion.

"Look" Terry pointed at the ground.

"Do a headcount. That's a boot print, someone has gone in" He moaned out.

The co-pilot counted and came back. "Two missing, don't know who though"
he informed Terry and the Captain. "Doc Rob has gone, and so is the nurse"
someone informed us. "He's been chatting her up lately. Do you think he
went looking for somewhere to be alone and sort of wandered the wrong way?"
Lyle asked.

"Well, we are going in now, anyway. Come on guys, move out" Terry said,
and picked his pack up. The two new conscripts carrying one of the shotguns
provided by Hank, walked at the rear of the group.

A few seconds later they were walking into a forest on the other side.
They could hear giggling and walked into a naked romp where they found Doc
Rob fucking the nurse. "Erhmm" Terry made a noise, and Rob fell to his
side.

"Fuck, man, can't we have a little privacy?" he griped, as the nurse was
grabbing for her clothes. "You idiot, where do you think you are, Doc?"
Terry asked, and looked quizzical, waiting for an answer. "Duh, in the
forest, obviously" he replied with a smirk.

"No, fuckwit, you walked through the distortion. You are in the one we are
heading into now, so get the fuck dressed. You are here now, so join the
group" he insisted and the look in Terry's eyes told Rob not to argue.

Mark and Lyle walked past the dressing duo and just laughed.  "Oh, shut up;
like you never walked into a parallel universe to get some before" Rob
retorted, with a smile.

Soon the group now numbering 12 walked out to the edge of the forest.
"Shit, look at that" Captain James pointed at a long dirigible with a cabin
below it. "A fucking Zeppelin" he added. "Look at the markings" he
said. "Pan Am" he looked on, shocked.

"Wow Europe in six months, supersonic or what" Captain James laughed. "Keep
going, we need to keep looking for resources" Terry reminded them. "We will
mark this one when we get back, if we do not find anything in the others we
can come back and re-con this area, we need to know if it is friendly
first" Captain James added.

"Yeah sure" replied Terry.

"Cap, it's better if most go back, and a small party keep looking. A large
group like ours could draw some unneeded attention" Terry added, and
Captain James agreed.

"Who do you want" Captain James asked. And Tommy looked at him with stern
eyes. "Tommy, Mark, Lyle, Emma, and Larry should do" he replied.

"Okay guys lets head back, see you in about an hour and a half" James said
and headed back into the forest.

"Okay, look inconspicuous. Hide the guns" he said, and headed toward the
town.

The first good sign was all the signage was in English, the people engaged
in conversation spoke English. "No Asians" Mark commented. "Yeah, no
slaves, either" added Lyle.

"Strange, there are cars, so why no planes?" asked Terry. "Who says they
don't?" Tommy asked. "Duh" he replied again, pointing at the zeppelin.
"Look up, Terry, high lines in the sky. A plane did that, not a sodding
hot air balloon" he laughed.

"Okay, granted, but why that" again pointing at the balloon.

"You folks here for the show?" an old guy asked. "Show?" Mark enquired.

"You are not from around here, are yi" he asked.

"No, Europe" Lyle replied.

"Oh, I see, you from refugees?" he asked.

"Those German bastards dropping the A bomb like that, but it did end the
war" he went on. "The Russians never fared well, though: all but gone now"
he went on.

The guys walked away and did notice when they turned the corner, the second
emblem on the balloon was a swastika. "Germany invaded the U.S.?" Jarvis
asked.

"No, sonny, where did you learn history? In '44, the Germans dropped the A
bomb on Moscow, the allied armies surrendered, and the Americans retreated.
We came to a truce of sorts. Herman Hitler is in charge of the German
states of Europe now, took over from his father, as he had from his
grandfather.

"What about England?" Mark asked.

"Oh, it's an army post, a training camp. We are having trouble with the
Koreans, and Herman wants us with them to go in and bring order" the guy
added.

"This is so fucked up. Germany won World War II, we are an army base, and
Europe is run by the fucking Hitler's" Larry said, with disgust in his
words. "Fuck, I'm glad my granddad is dead, coz this would kill him" Larry
added.

"Remember, this is only one reality" Mark whispered into Larry's ear.
"Yeah, I know; still fucking stinks, though" he moaned.

"Okay guys, I think we have seen just about enough here, so let's head
back" Jarvis said, and they turned and headed back.

"Oh, by the way, who is president, is it Obama?" Mark asked, out of
curiosity. "He sounds like an African fella" the old guy replied. "Yeah,
he is, sort of" replied Mark.

"Oh, you are definitely not from around here. There are no Blacks in the
U.S., no Jews, no Hispanics, no queers; just good old white folk" he
smiled, proud of his statement.

"President Himmler of the Christian Democrats is in charge of things. Has
been for over 20yrs now, and his daddy before him" he replied. Mark and
Lyle realised the U.S. was a dictatorship.

"Yeah, let's get the fuck out of here" responded Lyle, heading back toward
the forest, and sanity. "How fucked up is that?" bemoaned Lyle. "Different
directions, multiverse in effect" replied Tommy.

The group re-emerged back on the safe side of the distortion and explained
to the group that the Hitler's more or less ruled the world. The fate of
blacks and gays is unknown, but couldn't be good.

"Mark this as one to avoid" Captain James informed the group.

"Do any of us get a say in this?" a guy at the rear asked.

"About what" asked Jarvis

"No blacks or gays sounds okay to me" he replied. "Yeah, me too, and me" 6
added their voices to the tune. "Okay, racist and homophobic. Okay, you
wanna stay, be my guest; but these distortions are getting harder to spot,
so make sure you wanna stay" added Captain James.

The seven bigots packed what they needed and headed into the distortion,
and the group, to be honest was not too disappointed to see them leave.
"Assholes on a stag weekend" sneered Larry.

"Okay, lets head for the other one" Jarvis commanded, and the remaining
passengers began the trek south for the next distortion.

"Do you think we will find the one that takes us home?" Shauna asked,
looking at Tommy. "I don't know, it will take some time; but hey, we are
trying" replied Tommy, with Terry at his side.

"Are you keeping track of our route?" Tommy asked Captain James. "Yes, but
why?" he asked. "We might need to head back to where we started, that's
all" Tommy replied.

"Yeah, why?" Capt. James asked.

"We came into this shit storm via the Jurassic time zone; it makes sense
that we have to leave by that zone".

"Huh, how do you figure that?" Captain James asked, his interest peaked.

"Okay, it's just a theory, but a sound one, I think. We have entered these
anomalies and returned the same way, yes?" he started.

"Yeah, but we were airborne" Captain James replied.

"Hence, the problem; we need to be airborne in the Jurassic zone and find
the distortion off of the Florida coast to head back to our reality" Tommy
smiled.

"Fuck, you are not thinking what I think you are thinking" Jarvis moaned.

"The distortions are big enough" Tommy added.

"Can someone fill me in here, please?" Capt. James demanded. Mark and Lyle
looked equally lost. Jarvis and Tommy smiled at each other. You could
tell they had been with each other for years, they finished each other's
sentences and shit.

"The Zeppelin; it can carry all of us. Fly it through the anomalies' and
head out to sea; the Captain knows the coordinates of where we came
through, so it should work" Tommy the scientist spoke, and they all
listened.

"Yeah, as I said, smart, and cute as fuck" smiled Terry Jarvis, kissing
Tommy on his cheek.

"So, we steal the Zeppelin from Nazis?" asked Larry.

"Yeah, we need to come up with a good plan; don't want casualties" replied
Jarvis.

"Small group, go in take it, fly it out. Simple!" Jarvis added.

"Oh, a commando raid" Larry smiled.

"Element of surprise" added Jarvis.

"Okay, let's head back. We can camp and go in tomorrow night. We can
re-con the area at first light" Jarvis instructed, picking up his backpack.

"There is a slight problem though" Capt. James replied.

"Yeah, what" asked Larry.

"Well, first, it is not very fast. If they have weapons, or a helicopter,
they could stop us quite quickly; and second, that thing is a fucking bomb.
Have you heard of the Hindenburg? Kaboom!!" he added.

"Oh, that" Terry snickered.

"Yeah, fucking that" Capt. James replied.

"Captain, it's 800yds to the threshold; it would take them at least 10
minutes to scramble a chopper. Okay, weapons fire, yeah, I can see that.
So, we will have to make it look like it's just come loose or something; or
hope people think it's just being tested" Replied Jarvis, with a confident
look on his face.

"Trees" Capt. James added.

"The distortion is on the other side, so we need to drop some, and move the
camp back so we have space" Jarvis added.

"So, are we doing this, then?" Mark asked.

"You wanna get home?" Terry asked, and Lyle and Mark and a large number of
the group nodded. "Well then, yeah, we are doing this" Terry added.

The night came and went. The birds were chirping when Jarvis, Captain
James, Tommy and Larry went to scout out the town. Mark and Lyle helped
move the camp back a couple of hundred yards. With some difficulty, they
cut down several trees so the Zeppelin could arrive and not crash. Two
hours passed and the scouting party returned.

"It's not real" Captain James announced. "We went up on a tour. It's a
prop; it has a café in the cradle" Jarvis sounded pissed. "But, we do
have another idea that might just work" Tommy spoke up. "We found out the
airport is in the same place as the airport in our Florida" Capt. James
replied. "They have a troop carrier; enough room for all of us" he added.

"But we all need to go, no scouting party. We all need to get to the
airport, board the plane, and fly out en masse, without drawing attention.
We'll fly into the safe haven, then directly into Jurassic Park. Then,
hopefully, we can find the anomaly, fly out of there and get the fuck back
in one piece to our reality" Capt. James added.

"But, there are 55 of us left from the original 119; still a large enough
number to get noticed. The saving grace is the show. They expect a lot of
strangers in town; but we do have to be careful with Laurence though. He
is black, and, as we all know, this U.S. does not have black people living
within its borders; so we need to disguise him, somehow" Capt. James said,
looking at the handsome black guy, who stood at over six feet.

"They are wearing masks" Tommy added.

"What?" asked Terry.

"Masks. The festival part of the show is tonight. The people, or some, at
least, are wearing masks" Tommy replied. So, they had a way of getting
Laurence past any prying eyes.

Fifty plus strangers walked through the distortion, fireworks going off
all around them. "The airport is three miles due east" Jarvis informed
them.  "Break into small groups, but head due east.  Doc, you take point;
Larry you take a dozen or so, and we will be right behind you" Jarvis
added.

"Mark, Lyle, you stay with Tommy" he continued.

"Terry, we can help, just tell us what to do" Mark replied.

"I just did" he retorted.

"Christ, he is only a couple of years older than we are; so why do I feel
like I'm being scolded by my dad?" Lyle griped.

"Guys, he is fond of you both; it's just his way of knowing where we all
are" snickered Tommy.

To Be continued when time permits

Hope you liked my little Sci-Fi adventure, I wrote this based on a couple
of guys I met whilst on holiday and yeah called Lyle and Mark, I told them
I write stories and would place them in one, and as it happens where flying
into Manchester, I just changed their eventual destination. The part of
them regarding just coming out is also true and the job offer also true.

Hope you 2 guys liked my imagination
