Josh felt gloomy and depressed as he unpacked his suitcases in his room. He
was glad to see his mom and his dad and his sisters, and especially his
brother David, when they all came to meet him at the airport, but he also
was feeling a tremendous let down from returning home after two months on
the island.

The separation from Etienne was just as painful as before. Once again,
Etienne had pushed him and Mark away a couple of days before they
left. This time though, they didn't go after him to bring him back. They
both sadly let him go, and they both realized that it was most likely that
neither of them would ever see him again. Aunt Mary had a similarly painful
separation from her boyfriend Bertyl, whom she had met on the island, and
the three of them rode back home on the plane in almost total silence. It
was a stark contrast to the jubilant excitement and bubbly, excited
conversation that the three of them shared when they had flown to the
island previously. To further Josh's pain, Mark said the night before they
left that it would probably be best if they forgot everything that had
happened between them during the holiday. Mark told Josh that once they
returned, they could still be friends, but that he wanted nothing else
beyond that. Once they had arrived at the airport, Mark got into his
parents waiting car, and drove off without so much as even a wave goodbye,
so Josh was starting to wonder if they were even still friends.

Josh was taking his shirts out of the suitcase when his bedroom door opened
and his brother David walked in.

"Hey Davey." Josh smiled as David closed the door and sat down on the desk
chair. David was almost exactly eleven months youngest than Josh, actually
ten months and twenty nine days. He looked like Josh except that he had
dark blond hair, thinner eyebrows, and more prominent cheekbones.

"Jesus, you look tanned as hell." David said.

"Yeah, I'm tanned all over too," Josh said.

"Really?"

"Yeah, check it out." Josh said as he pulled down his pants and lifted up
his shirt to show his uniform bronzed skin.

"Wow, even your dick is tanned." David smiled.

"Yeah, that nude beach was right across the street from us." Josh said as
he pulled his pants back up and lowered his shirt.

"You gotta tell me all about it." David said.

"I really wish you were there. I'm not going back if Aunt Mary doesn't let
you go next time, IF there's a next time." Josh said as he pulled clothes
out of the suitcase.

"Can I sleep in here tonight?" David asked.

"Of course you can. I was going to ask you to anyway."

"So what was up with Mark?' David asked.

Josh's face crinkled up in pain as he picked up some shirts to put into the
dresser. "I don't know. He started acting funny right before we left, then
he said he just wanted to be friends, then he wouldn't talk to me after
that." Josh got up to put the clothes into his dresser.

"That's too bad, Josh. I really thought that you had found somebody." David
said sadly.

"It's a lot harder for us to have relationships than it is for you guys."

"Yeah but at least you got to have one! I can't even get a girl to even
look at me." David said with his head down.

"It's because you always go after the bitches, Dave! I've told you that
before! You never talk to any of the nice girls in our school."

"If you're talking about Sally Orsini or Lori Blessetti, those girls are
dogs!"

"Lori Blessetti is NOT a dog, Davey. Even I can tell that!" Josh said as he
put pants into his dresser.

"I'd rather just jerk off then be with either them. Speaking of which...can
I use your bed?"

"Sure. Let me clear it off a little." Josh then put one suitcase on the
floor and took the other to his desk so that he could continue to
unpack. David lay down on Josh's bed and began unbuttoning his pants. "So
how was it here with everyone while I was gone?" Josh asked.

David unzipped his pants and pulled them down a little, which caused his
boner to snap out and slap against his stomach. It made a soft noise as it
hit his t-shirt, which he then pulled up. "It was kind of boring actually,"
David said as he began jerking off. "I really didn't have anything to do so
I really had to try hard not to get into any trouble."

"Well I'm really proud of you that you didn't. Maybe you're on the straight
and narrow now!" Josh grinned as he folded up a pair of pants.

"I wouldn't say that!" David grinned as he beat himself off.

"So who are you thinking about?"

"This girl I saw in a Playboy. I have it in my room. Curtis gave it to me."
Curtis was David's best friend, and a big reason as to why David was always
in some kind of trouble.

"David! You're still hanging around with Curtis? Dude! You're going to get
into trouble again if you keep hanging around with him!" Josh said
angrily. David said nothing and continued to pound his meat on Josh's bed
while staring up at the ceiling. Josh stopped unpacking and sat and watched
while David rapidly throttled his dick. After a couple of minutes, David
tensed up, made a grunting noise, and shot white sperm all over his
belly. Josh grabbed a box of Kleenex and threw it at David. It hit him on
his chest and bounced off onto the bed.

"OW! Hey!" David muttered.

"Thanks for not getting any on my sheets this time." Josh grinned.

David wiped himself off with a couple of the Kleenex. "I think I'm always
going to be a virgin." He said as he finished up.

"No you won't." Josh smiled. "Someday you'll meet the right girl for you,
then you'll marry her, have a lot of kids, and I'll be your gay brother who
lived in San Francisco!"

David got up, threw the Kleenex into the trash, and zipped and buttoned his
pants back up. "Don't move to San Francisco please!" David said.

"Why not?"

"Because then I'll have to visit you there and I hate San Francisco!" David
grinned.

Josh then laughed, got up off of his chair, went over to David, and they
put their arms around each other in a tight embrace.

"I missed you, Bro." David said. They kissed each other quickly on the
cheeks, separated, and then went over to unpack Josh's other suitcase.

Scott lay on his bed, and looked over at the clock. It was now past 8:30 at
night. He knew that Josh had to be home by now. Outside, in the living
room, he could hear his parents and his sister all watching TV. He leaned
over and pulled the piece of paper with Josh's address and phone number
that his aunt had given to him out of the nightstand. He rubbed his dick
through his pants as he gazed at Josh's information. He then got up and
went to his front door, peeked outside into the hall to make sure that no
one was there, and slipped into his parents room across the way. He went to
the phone, picked it up, and nervously dialed the number.

Josh's mother was in the kitchen when the phone rang. She had just turned
on the dishwasher and it was gurgling away. She was about to turn out the
light just before the phone started ringing. She then went and answered it.

"Hello?"

"Uhhh...hello. Is...Josh around?" Replied a young voice with a southern
drawl on the other end.

"I'll see if he's still up. Can I say who's calling?"

"Yeah, this is Scott, from St. Sebastian's."

"Oh. Allright. I'll see if he's still up. Hold on a minute." She then put
the receiver down and went upstairs to Josh's room.

Josh and David were both in their underwear. David was reading on Josh's
bed and Josh was doing the last bit of unpacking that he had left. He was
jet lagged and wanted to turn in, but there was then a knock on the door.

"Josh. Phone!" He heard his mom say.

"OK Mom. I'll take it in the bedroom." He replied. He then went out into
the hall and down to his parents bedroom. He then picked up the receiver.

"Hello?"

"Hey, it's Scott."

"Scott! Hey! What's happening Dude!" Josh said happily. He then heard his
mother hang up the phone downstairs.

"Nothing much. Just wanted to say hi, I guess."

"So how was your trip home?"

"It was ok."

"So you're settled in now and everyting?"

"Yeah..." Scott said. Josh noticed that he sounded sad.

"So...is everything allright?"

"Yeah, I guess. I kinda have to go, long distance and all, you know?"

"Yeah. Call collect next time, OK?"

"OK."

"I start school next week. If you call in the afternoon sometime I should
be here then."

"OK."

"Thanks for calling, Scott. I really like hearing from you."

"OK. Bye."

"Bye." Josh said.

The phone then hung up. Josh looked at the phone sadly for a few seconds,
then disconnected the call, and thendialed the number that he had
memorized. The phone rang twice on the other end and a man answered.

"Hello?"

"Hello. Is Mark there?"

"Who's calling?"

"It's Josh."

"Just a minute." Mark's dad replied. After a minute or so another receiver
picked up and Mark came on.

"Hey Josh."

"Hey Mark. Whatcha doing?"

"I'm really tired and I was about to go to sleep. What do you need?"

"I...just wanted to call...see how you were doing I guess."

"Look Josh. You don't need to call me or anything. I'm sure you'll see me
in school. OK?"

Josh felt a lump form in his throat. "Oh...OK...I guess."

Mark then hung up without saying anything. Josh got up and walked quickly
into his room. After he closed the door behind him, he burst into tears.

"What's wrong?" David asked from the bed alarmed.

Josh went over and lay next to David in a fetal position. David scooted
over and put his arms around him.

"Mark hates me!" Josh sobbed.

"Shh..it's allright, Bro."

"He doesn't want to talk to me! What did I do?!"

"He wants to be straight. He's worried that he'll be gay if he hangs around
you."

"But he's not gay!"

"That's what he says, but maybe he's not really sure."

"Why does it have to be like this?!"

"Don't worry about it, Josh. Just lie down and get some sleep. You're tired
right now."

Josh sniffled and wiped the tears from his face. "Thanks Davey. You're
always there for me."

"We're always there for each other."

"I feel so confused."

"I know. Get some sleep, Bro."

Josh lay down with his head on David's chest. Just like he had so many
times before. He and David had been close ever since they were
toddlers. Until just a couple of years before, when their dad had started
his law practice and moved into the new address, they had always shared a
room. It had been a tough transition for both of them, and they both would
still "sleep over" in one another's rooms from time to time. Now, David was
Josh's lifeline, his rock. He was the only person anywhere whom he could
count on for unconditional support. In the back of his mind though, was the
boy Scott in Tennessee...Josh closed his eyes while his brother held him,
and he immediately drifted off to sleep.

Scott hung up the phone and returned sadly to his room. He put on the shell
necklace that Josh had given him and lay on his bed. He held the piece of
paper in his hand and made a firm decision in his mind. He was going to do
chores, work, slave, pinch, and save, anything that he had to do to buy the
bus ticket to Utica, New York. There, he would finally be reunited with the
love of his life, the object of his dreams, the boy Josh that he had met on
a family vacation to a remote European island. He kised the necklace,
closed his eyes, and drifted off to sleep.
