Subject: apocalypse   chapter 35

ok befroe we start this chapter i want to give you guys a message. i am
thinking of including a celebrity boy in a future chapter. i have some good
ideas of who i'd like to use but i'd like some other suggestions, well more
like votes on who i should use. send me an email and tell me who you'd like
to see get thrown into the mix on this story, all suggestions are welcome,
but please be realistic, i know there are going to be a bunch for the
sprouses and zack efron. i'd like to use a younger star though and
hopefully a cuter one than efron or the sprouses. send me your votes to
MOONWEEZLE9@AOL.COM. i dont know what chapter the celebrity will be in but
it might happen in the future.


chapter 35


I looked over to see the bluish spacesuit of our time traveler friend
grabbing Josiah by his wrist and prying him off of Adrien's neck. Once he
had Joe's hands away from Adrien's throat he inhaled in a big breath of air
and then began to cough from the strain. Michael struggled with Joe for a
moment then grabbed him buy the throat and slammed him hard against the
wall nearly pushing him through it. "No don't hurt my cousin." AJ yelled at
Michael. "It's not your cousin. It's an omega." Michael replied keeping a
hold of Joe. "What the fuck are you talking about?" AJ demanded. "He is not
your cousin. He is an imposter sent here to kill my dad." Michael
said. "Wait, wait you better explain what is doing on here now." I said
pulling myself off the floor. "This is not Josiah. It is an alien human
hybrid, but far more advanced than my dad. It was sent here by the aliens
to kill my dad." Michael explained. As he was telling us what was going on
who we thought to be Josiah changed appearances and looked kind of like
Adrien did when we first found him, pale skinned, black eyes, and very not
of this world looking. "Where is my fucking cousin?" AJ demanded from the
imposter as he got in it's face. It said nothing to us then Michael
unexpected to us squeezed hard and broke the hybrid's neck like a match
stick killing it. He let go his grip letting it fall to the floor in a
heap. "Why did you kill it? Now we'll never find Joey." AJ said getting
mad. "It's ok I told you before he would return to you soon and he will,
you just need to help the process now." Michael said. "Ok start talking
now." I demanded. "Ok like I said it was a hybrid, but it's abilities far
exceed my dad's as you all saw. It had Josiah's strength from having a dna
splice from Josiah put in it. That's how it had his memories and looked
like him so none of you could tell it from the real thing. Joe is still
alive, but a prisoner of sorts. I will tell you right now I am in direct
violation of all timperal laws even being here and speaking to you, so as
long as I am already in trouble I will try to help you." He told us. Adrien
was having a hard time breathing from the extreme pressure the alien had
put on his throat. "You ok?" I asked him. "I believe I will be, it hurts
though." He told me through his thoughts. "Ok just try to relax, and don't
talk." I told him. "Ok AJ, Phillip, Chris, and you down stairs now. The
rest of you go to bed." I ordered pointing at Michael. In the living room I
told Chris, AJ, and Phil to get dressed and meet back there in a few
minutes. We meet back moments later dressed and they were waiting to hear
the rest of the story. Adrien came in seconds later dressed and ready
also. "No you stay this time. That thing did a number on you tonight and
you need to rest." I told him. "He is right you are too important to be
endangered for this." Michael told him. We made Adrien go back to bed and
had Carry watch over him as we figured out what to do about Joey. We were
being to talk when I saw the twins beginning to walk past the doorway. "I
thought I told you to..." I began to yell at then to go to bed when I
noticed they were dragging the corpse of the dead alien to the front
door. "Oh sorry guys that's a god idea. Go ahead and dump him out there and
we'll deal with it when we get back. Then you guys get back to bed." I told
them. Now it was time for a game plan. "Ok so where is Josiah and what are
we going to have to do to get him back?" I asked. "He is being held in
stasis by the aliens on a nearby island. That's how they were able to sneak
him out and the hybrid in with out you detecting them. If we are to do this
then it will take the utmost concentration and sharpness to pull off. I
wont lie it will be dangerous. I told you before that they weren't what
they seemed. They are just as bent on dominating this world as the evil
ones are who are killing for food." He explained. "I don't care he's my
cousin and I'm in." AJ said standing next to Michael. I of course was in
to, so I looked to the other two then. "Well guys what's it gonna be? You
going to help? I'm sure any of us could die at any time." I warned them. "I
don't care I have to get Joey back." Chris said stepping up. "Dammit. Ok
I'm in to." Phil said sounding a little concerned. We looked to Michael
then ad waited on his instruction. "We must take the space ship due east
for 15 miles. That is where he is being held." He sad. I ran and got all of
us a gun then so we could protect ourselves. I handed a pistol to Michael
but he refused. "That won't be necessary." He said as he raised his gloved
hand and lightning began to flicker from his finger tips. "Ok I don't want
to know let's just get going." I told them. 











Michael took Adrien's place at the controls of the ship and the rest of us
began to float when he turned on the anti gravity. We floated in place as
the ship cloaked to invisible then began to fly off over the ocean. It only
took a few minutes to get to the island he was talking about and it looked
to be barren and deserted. "You sure this is it? Looks like nothing's
there." I asked. "Look closer." He said then he turned on some kind of
filter for the viewer window and we could see the alien's base as plain as
day. W silently and covertly sat the ship down near the base and
exited. The aliens knew immediately that we were there and were on the
offense. Michael put his helmet on and stepped in front of us and put up
some kind of shield around us. The aliens were shooting at us with some
kind of lasers but it bounced off the shield around us. As we walked
Michael was shooting bolts of lightning from his hands through the shield
at the aliens frying them like chicken when he hit them. He got to the main
entrance then he punched it and nearly knocked the whole damned wall down
just trying to open the door. "Holy shit he's a bad ass." AJ admired. We
entered the building still on guard as we searched for Joey, then Michael
stopped. "Oh no not now, it's too soon." He said sounding worried. He took
some kind of device off his arm and handed it to me. "Here you will need
this. I am being forced back to my own time. He is 3 levels down." Michael
said just before a bright orb of light enveloped him then he was gone. "I
looked at the device then put it on my arm like he had it on his. I felt a
strange tingling sensation on my forearm that seem to spread to the rest of
my body. "Holy shit this is weird." I told the others. We proceeded on with
guns up and ready and we came upon 5 of the aliens waiting on us. They all
open fire with their weapons at once and we cringed up. I'm not sure how or
why but the device on my arm seemed to react to what I was feeling and made
a force field around us keeping us safe. "Get em!" I told the others and we
began blasting bullets at the aliens dropping them like flies. We proceeded
on when they were dead to the next level down. We battled all the way to
where Joey was being held and fund the room he was being held in. the door
was jammed shut and wouldn't open. I put my hand on the control panel next
to the door and the device on my arm seemed to short out the locking
mechanism. The door opened then and we saw Joey laid out on a table
strapped down with all kinds of IV's and probes inserted into his body. "Oh
god Joe." I said feeling my heart sink seeing him like that. We began
gently pulling the IV's and probes out o f and off of his body. We then
unstrapped him and checked to see if he was alive. "He's breathing guys
let's get him the fuck out of here." I said. Phillip scooped him up and
carried him as the rest of us kept our guards up as we exited. 

We ran back out to the ship and boarded quickly. "Adrien what the fuck do I
do here?" I asked him with my mind. "Cloak the ship first, just think clear
as a crystal and it will happen. Then get out of there." He replied. I did
as he said and the ship cloaked before we lifted off. Once we were air born
Adrien told me to access the alien's computer in the base with the ship. I
didn't have a clue of how but he guided me through it. "Ok I'm in now." I
told him. "Access the shield controls and turn them off. The monstrous ones
should take care of the rest for us once they detect their base." Adrien
said. I did what he said and the cloak to the base dropped and it was now
visible to plain view. "Now get out of there fast." Adrien said to do. I
told the others to brace themselves and we then tore out of there in the
ship at a good rate of speed. We arrived back at our home island in only a
minute after leaving the alien base. Just before we landed the ship we saw
another steak of bright light come down from space to where the island was.

The next thing we knew we were seeing a grand explosion. Apparently the
monsters saw the alien base and hit it from the mother ship with their
weapons. At least we wouldn't have to worry about any `good' alien threat
for a while, the monsters had obliterated them form orbit. I landed the
ship and we ran Joey inside the house and to his bed. AJ ran to the
bathroom and grabbed a first aide kit. Apparently they did something to Joe
that was impeding his power to heal himself. He had puncture wounds all
over his arms from the IV's and probes that weren't healing on their
own. Adam cleaned and covered his cousin's wounds the whole time with a
look on his face like he was about to cry. I put my hand on the back of
AJ's head and told him, "It's ok we got him back now. He's gonna be ok."
that made AJ break down and start bawling over the state his younger cousin
was in. Adrien had joined us by now and was eager to see how Joey was. H
held his hand over Josiah's chest then slowly moved his hand all over above
him. "He will be ok, but it will take time for him to recover. They drained
his blood nearly dry, that's why he is having a hard time healing and looks
so pale." Adrien explained. "Why would they take his blood?" Chris
wondered. "My only guess would be to make their hybrid look and act like
him." Adrien said. "What should we do for him?

AJ sniffled. "All we can do is let him rest and recover for now." I told
him. Adrien then noticed the device on my arm and that Michael was no
longer with us. "Where is the time traveler?" he asked. "Oh, that's kinda
hard to explain. I think he was forced back to his own time by who ever was
there. He gave me this thing before they took him. I have no idea what it
is, but the damned thing comes in handy." I replied. "Ok well we must keep
an eye on Josiah for a few days until his blood count returns to normal."
He said having some difficulty from his throat being in pain. "Yeah we need
to keep an eye on you to. That thing really did a number on your throat.
You got big ass red mars on your neck and it's probably gonna be bruised
like hell." I told him. "Yes I agree. I'll keep an eye on them. I think you
already have enough on your mind for now." Carry said taking Adrien by the
arm and making him go back to bed. AJ was going to sit with his cousin till
he recovered enough to wake up. For now though Joe was in a sort of coma
and wouldn't wake up till his blood count came up. I left the cousins to
walk through the house to make sure everyone was in bed.

Most of the guys were at least in their rooms but at the same time only a
few of the younger ones were sleeping. All of the ones awake were wondering
exactly what was going on so I tried to quietly explain. They were all
worried about Joey and Adrien and also wondered where Michael had gone. The
question of the time traveler brought me back to the fact that I still had
his device on my arm. In the process of taking it off I some how activated
some sort of message. A hologram of Michael appeared in front of me and
delivered a message. "Hello friends I guess if you are seeing this then I
have been forced back to my own time or I'm no longer alive. In either case
this device contains information you need to know that will directly affect
your future. Derrik if you or my father are watching this you need to
connect this device to the thing my dad constructed that you called the
ROOM. it is simple to connect just plug it into the control panel for the
ROOM and the device will do the rest. Ok well got to go now, so I'll see
you all in a few years." The hologram said before vanishing. "Wow that was
awesome." Cody whispered to his brother. "Go to sleep guys." I told them as
I left the room to go to Adrien's work station. I found where the plug on
the device was and connected it like it said to the control panel. As soon
as I did that another hologram popped up and gave some instruction. "Ok you
are either Derrik or Adrien, dad, any ways this thing has information you
must know. The info inside it is different for either of you. The ROOM will
scan your minds like it's supposed to but then it will deliver a specific
message to you. I hope you use the information to help yourselves and
hopefully lots of other people." The hologram of Michael said before
turning off. I then stepped in the ROOM and the lights went dim and it
began to scan my mind. The next thing I knew I was in outer space. "Wow
this is intense." I said admiring the detail of the experience. Michael
appeared in front of me again and began to speak after smiling. "Hello
Derrik. You must please understand that what I tell you in here is strictly
prohibited in my time to do so. The penalties of me doing so are strict,
but you must know these things or there may not be a future. What I tell
you, you must know when to keep it to yourself and not tell any one else
especially my dad." He then stepped aside and a hologram of the Earth in
space appeared. Orbiting it then was the monsters huge spaceship. The ship
exploded violently making a huge shockwave that rolled into the
Earth. "Good so those monsters get blown up? They deserve it." I
said. "Just watch." Michael said. The story went on and we zoomed in from
orbit around Earth to ground level as we watched the shock wave approach
from space. As it made contact with the surface it was like a huge nuclear
bomb was going off. My heart began to race and began to breathe faster and
faster as I felt the dear grip me of what was happening. Closer and closer
the wave got till I closed my eyes and put my hands up in front of me in a
defensive gesture as the hologram passed through me. Once I realized I was
ok I opened my eyes and saw a wasteland that use to be my world. It was
almost exactly what I had been seeing in my dreams in the weeks right after
the invasion. "You mean this is what is going to happen to us?" I
asked. "If you don't act with this information, then yes it will come to
pass." He said. The time lapse seemed to speed up dramatically and years
seemed to fly by. Eventually the skies cleared of the dust clouds that
surrounded the world after the shock wave hit. Time went by even further
then and the world seemed to be recovering and totally devoid of human
life. "No one survived did they?" I asked. "In this scenario, no one did."
He said. "How am I supposed to stop that from happening? I mean I'm just a
kid jeeze." I said getting worried. "You aren't supposed to stop it. My
father is. What you need to know is when to help and when to keep quiet
about your knowledge." Michael said. "What knowledge? You mean knowing what
probably will happen?" I asked. "The knowledge that my father will have a
choice to make at my birth. If he makes the wrong choice then more than
just my mother will die. The knowledge that he could be the savior of all
life on Earth. You must remind him to make the right choice when the time
comes." He said. I swallowed a lump now knowing that I had direct knowledge
of what could happen to the world. "MY father will be given specific
information from this message to but what the two of you know must not
cross paths till it is the right time. When the time is right you will both
know it." He said then the holograms all disappeared and I was back in the
dimly lit ROOM again. "Fuck man why does all this have to happen?" I asked
myself. I left the basement and went and told Adrien about the device
needing to deliver a message to him in the ROOM and that he should check it
tomorrow after getting some rest. I then went to the couch and crashed out
still fully dressed and fell straight to sleep.

The next morning I was shaken awake by Adrien. "Wassup?" I asked rubbing my
eyes. "I am going to see the message you were talking about." He told me
with his mind. "How's the throat?" I asked. He then showed me the dark
bruised that were now forming around his neck. "Very, very sore." He
thought to me. "Ok well try not to talk to any one for a few days if you
can help it." I suggested. "Yes that was my plan. And oh yeah, thanks for
trying to save my life last night. I know you were the first one there to
help. Thank you." He thought to me before bending down to half hug me. He
caught me off guard by that because he wasn't much of one to show affection
to the guys in the house. Who knows maybe it was just more of his humanity
coming to the surface. "Ok you have fun in the ROOM and I'm gonna go check
on Joey." I told him. We parted ways and I went up to check on Josiah to se
if there was any change. AJ was sitting still dressed next to the bed in a
chair now slumped over half sleeping. I touched him on the knee and woke
him. "Adam you awake?" I whispered and he opened his eyes. "I'm awake I'm
awake." He said opening his eyes wide. "Damn man didn't you sleep any last
night?" I asked. "Not since we got home no." he replied yawning. "Well go
lay down for a while I'll watch over him for a while." I told AJ. He stood
up and grabbed me I a hug. "Thank you for saving him." He said in my
ear. "No problem dude. He's part of the family we couldn't leave him." I
replied. AJ sniffed back tears and smiled. "Please come get me if he wakes
up." He said before leaning over and kissing his cousin really quick then
left the room nearly in tears. I sat down in the chair next to Josiah and
laid my hand on his chest. I could feel his heart beating and his chest
slowly rise and fall as he breathed. Some of his color had come back and he
looked better than he did last night. I put my hand on his forehead then
and focused my mind to deliver a message to him. "Joey I don't know if you
can hear me or not, but you're home now and safe. I know you're lost right
now in that darkness but we are here for you in the light. All you have to
do is wake up." I thought. I retrieved my hand then and just sat there with
him for what seemed lie hours. I had fallen back asleep and was being
gently shook awake. I opened my eyes to a surprise. "Hey glad to see you up
and about." I said smiling to see Greyson standing there. "Why don't you go
eat and do what you need to I'll stay with him for a while it's the least I
can do considering what you all have done for me and my sister." He
replied. I got up and stretched my sore bones and went to get some food.

In the ROOM Adrien was taking delivery of his personalized message. "Hello
dad. I know it must be weird to hear another guy your age call you that but
it's what I have always called you. I have information you will need to get
through the future." Michael said. The message went on showing Adrien the
same show I got of the ship blowing up and the aftermath. "That is what
will happen if you don't listen to what I have to say. When I am born you
will need to make a choice and that choice will affect the out come of the
world's future." Michael said. "What choice is that?" Adrien asked. "The
choice of who lives and who dies, I can not tell you who in either case,
but I can tell you that it is you that must decide. The only advice I can
give you is to make the choice from your heart. Don't listen to others
opinions or words. If you make the right choice the vision you just had of
the future will not be the one that happens." Michael said before the
hologram switched off again. For the first time Adrien stood there not
really knowing what the message he just saw meant. He decided that he
needed to delve deeper into the devices records to see if there was any
information he could find that would be useful to their current
position. He accessed another hologram of Michael and it popped up and
said, "Well dad I see you weren't satisfied with what I had to tell you
already." "I need more information is there anything else you can tell me?"
Adrien asked. "I will try but this message has limited capabilities." The
hologram said. "You called the other hybrid an Omega, what exactly does
that mean?" he asked. "Omega series of hybridization with humans. It was
the pinnacle of the crossbreeding program. It was in the final of a series
of 8 series. You were in the second stage of the process being in the Zeta
series. The Omega's have far more advanced abilities than your series did
and I'm sure you saw that. They have the ability to shape shift and copy
their DNA structure to match that of others. Their physical and mental
abilities far exceed that of yours as well." Michael explained. "Ok I need
more though." Adrien went on. "The best I can tell you is Area 51 does
exist and the answers you need are there. Be on your guard though it is
still a highly protected area even after the invasion. I wish I could tell
you more but this message has limited capacity." The hologram said before
vanishing. Not being satisfied with the answers he was given Adrien left
the ROOM to find Derrik. 

In the kitchen I was eating some stale chips when Adrien walked in and sat
down. Not being able to talk very well yet he talked to me with his
mind. "We need to talk. I accessed the hologram and got some further
info. It seems that the place called area 51 is real. I think that I need
to go there. For some reason I feel compelled to find out more
information." He said. "Are you shitting me it's real? And you want to go
there? I mean even if the place survived the invasion isn't most of it
under ground or something? If it is it should have survived the
attack. Shouldn't it?" I asked. "From what I understand yes, yes, and
yes. I think that I and maybe you might be able to slip inside like we did
on the mother ship. The hologram said there is information there that we
need to know to survive.

Adrien replied. He went on and told me about how he was a Zeta and that
there was other series of hybrids and he wanted to know more about
them. Reluctantly I decided to go with him on this little `trip' that I
thought was sure to be suicide. The two of us got dressed and got geared up
to go. Before we could slip out of the house AJ stopped us at the door with
his arms crossed. "Where ya going?" he demanded. "Area 51." I said. "What
ever dude I just asked a simple question." AJ replied. "No really that's
where we're going. It's real apparently and Adrien says we need to go there
so, here we go." I explained. "Then why are just the two of you going?" AJ
asked. "Stealth." Adrien said horsely with his sore throat. "Huh?" Adam
said. "He means the fewer of us that go the better. It's easier for a
couple to sneak in than it is for a bunch." I explained. I took AJ aside
and told him, "Dude you're in charge, you know just in case we don't make
it back. Take care of them ok." "Fuck that you guys better come back." AJ
said seriously. He walked off mad because he was staying behind and Adrien
and I got in the ship and left for Groom Lake, Nevada. 

It didn't take us long to get there and Adrien landed next to what was left
of a hanger building that seemed to have been destroyed in the
invasion. The ship was of coarse cloaked when we landed so we hoped we were
undetected. I put the alien cloaking device on my belt loop and Adrien used
his powers to make himself invisible. I used my mental abilities to keep
track of where he was at all times and to communicate with him so we could
proceed in silence. He had also brought along the device that Michael had
given us and it was clamped onto his forearm. "Why'd you bring that?" I
asked. "Isn't it obvious? It enhances our abilities and I'm sure it will
aid us. And I will use it to download any information we may find." He
answered. We looked around and Adrien found an entrance to the underground
facility in the most oddest place. We walked up to what looked like a porta
potty and before my eyes it began to raise above the ground revealing a
door way under it. There before us were two shiny metal doors that opened
up into an elevator. We stepped inside and the doors closed. I was waiting
to see what happened next then I felt the bottom drop out from my stomach,
you know that free falling feeling you get. The elevator was descending at
a great rate of speed, much faster than a normal one. "Adrien?..." I asked
in a worried tone. "Just wait." He replied. The elevator began to slow
down, slower and slower till it came to a stop a few minutes later. The
doors opened to a metallic hallway and we slowly stepped out. I looked
around and the place seemed to be intact. The lights were still working and
it seemed like there was no damage from the invasion. The two of us walked
on cautiously being sure to watch our backs, well figuratively speaking
since we were invisible. We had to squish ourselves against the wall a few
time to keep from being detected as armed guards walked by us. They
appeared to be US military soldiers with sub-machine guns. It took us for
what seemed like forever to find a floor plan for the place and we found
out where the computer access points were. We went to closest one to try
and get access to the mainframe. "Ok how the hell do we get through this?"
I asked him looking at a huge metal door with some kind of electronic lock
on it. "Just like this." He said before putting the device on his arm up to
the lock. The door made a series of motorized noises then slowly slid into
the wall opening. We crept inside to see a person sitting in a chair
looking back at the open door. "Now why did that open by its self." The guy
said. We stood aside as he walked over and shut it back and secured it with
the electronic lock. "Now what? We can't do nothing with him in here." I
asked. "I think he will need to use the restroom very soon." Adrien said as
he walked over to him and placed a mental suggestion into the guys
mind. "Oh damn! Damn Mexican food." The guys said as he logged his
terminal off and nearly ran out of the door as it slid open heading to the
restrooms. "What did you do to him?" I asked. "Just told his mind that his
colon needed a release." Adrien replied with a laugh. "Oh you made him
think he needed to shit, good one." I replied. He sat down at the terminal
then and we looked at the screen. It asked for a user name and password. He
held the arm device up and before we knew it the thing had accessed the
system some how. Adrien typed in "Hybrid program" and a page popped up. "Ok
let's get what we need and get out of here." I suggested. He held the
device up and it began to download all kinds of info from the computer. The
screen was changing pages faster than I could keep up. Adrien got up
suddenly and said, "He's almost back let's get ready to go out when he
opens the door." We stood aside and waited as the door opened and the man
walked back in. we managed to slip out just before the door shut on
us. Inside the room the man saw that his computer had been accessed and the
screen said upload complete. "Oh my god!" the guy said as he hit a button
on the wall signaling a security breach. "Fuck they're on to us." I said
getting worried. "No they're not, all he knows it someone uploaded
information from his terminal. They don't know WE'RE here. As long as we
keep stealthy we can make it out. We managed to make it back to the
elevator and got the door on it open even though the place was in lock
down. As we were stepping in Adrien fell to on knee and I had to help him
inside. "What's wrong?" I asked. "Pain, intense pain." he replied. "You
hurt or what?" I asked as the doors closed. "No, not me." He said. I pulled
his arm to the controls of the elevator and the device on his arm got it to
work. We rocketed back up to the surface and I was nervous as hell. As he
was kneeling on one knee his power of invisibility began to fade and I
could partially see him now. I pulled him up and held him up with his arm
over my shoulder and let the cloaking field around me cover us both. The
elevator made it to the surface and just before the doors opened he inhaled
sharply and pulled us both to the floor quickly. Before I could ask why he
had done that a hail of bullets tore through the middle part of the
elevator from outside. The bullets came through right where our heads and
chests would have been. I wanted to scream so badly but I was too
scared. My heart was pounding like a drum and my blood was pulsing like a
river flow. He held us both down to the floor, but the cloaking field was
still working. The gun fire stopped and the doors were pried open a minute
later. Soldiers pointed their guns inside and looked around hoping they had
killed the intruder. "Dammit no one was in there." one of the soldiers
said. "Let's report this and keep looking." The other soldier said then
they walked away with guns at the ready. "Holy shit holy shit holy shit." I
kept saying scared as hell. It took me a minute to catch my breath before
we could move. "Come on we must leave." Adrien said pulling me up. We crept
slowly out of the mangled elevator and made our way back to our ship. We
engaged the engines and got the hell out of there as fast as we could. My
heart rate didn't return to normal till we were almost home. "I hope we got
some good info from in there." I said wiping the sweat off my face. "I do
as well. There is much, much more going on there though." He said.

When we landed we couldn't wait to get to the basement and access the info
