Like I said before the writing software imusing doesnt have a spell checker so I apologize ahead of time formis-spelled words and bad punctuation. I'm sure you will get the pointi'm trying to get across if you see a mistake here and there. Hope youguys like the story writtin in this new way. 42 the smell in the air almost overwhelmedus as we stepped into the dimly lit room. I looked like a barracksroom or something because it had beds in it. What took our breath wasseeing two kids laying on the beds inside. I had smelled the smellbefore and knew right away what it was, or at least what I thought itwas. It was the smell of something dead. "God dude what the hell is thatsmell?" Aiden asked. "Something dead I'd say. Look overthere!" I said shining my flash light on the first kid. We ran over to them and saw that it wasa boy barely concious and clinging to life. He was covered in filthand smelled something awful. It was clear that he was malnurrished andstarving. "You ok? We're here to help you." Itold the kid. "Help us please." he whispered outprobably as loud as he could. "Aiden stay with him I'm gonna lookaround. He said us so some one else must be here." I said. I looked around the room and tripped afew times as I tried to walk around. I found another kid laying on abed a few bunks away from the first. I walked over to them and saw itwas a girl. She looked to be asleep so I shook her but she didn'tstir. I laid the back of my hand on her cheek and it was cold. I felther neck for a pulse then but there was none, the poor kid had diedin here. I looked over to Aiden then and shook my head to let himknow the kid was gone. I then held a finger to my lips to tell him tokeep quiet. I gently pulled the blanket over the girls head to show abit of respect for her. I walked back over to the other kid and helooked like he was on the edge of passing out. "Dude he's sick or dieing orsomething we gotta git him outa here and back home quick." Aidensaid with concern. I closed my eyes then and concentratedon sending a message to Adrien. "Adrien we found a survivor, but heis bad off. We're not sure if he's sick or what but hes bad. We'll behome soon so get the clinic in order and let the others know." he resoponded telling me they'd beready for us so Aiden and I scooped the kid up and carried him withour combined strength. He had to be around our age or a little olderfrom his size. I had his upper half and Aiden his legs as we carriedhim out of the bunker and out to the ship. We secured him inside andtook off for home. "Sorry bud but it dont look likewe're gonna get you to your house today." I apologized to Aiden. "Hey it's worth it if he lives. If wehadnt came this way he probly woulda died." he said not caringabout going to his house now. Some minutes later we arrived home andlanded just outside the entrance of the main building where theclinic was. Adrien and some of the others ruched out to meet us. Weopened the door and a few of the bigger guys ran in to help us rushthe kid into the clinic. Once in there we began to triage him rightaway. He had some open cuts and sores on him that were beginning toinfect and he was dehydrated. Adrien inserted an IV into his arm toget fluids in him and Rebeca helped me clean him up so we could seehow bad he was. As ussual in this situation we cut his clothes offunder wear and all to see how bad he was sick and hurt. I for one wassurprised at the sight when he was naked. He had very little hair onhis body, including his pubes, but had a normal size looking cock. Wecould only speculate right now of how old he was but I would thinkabout 14. his stomach was all sunkin in and his ribes were startingto show telling us he hadn't eating in a long time. He was at themoment totally unconcious so we had good access to checking him over.Ian walked in and laid his hand on the kids chest. I knew what he wasabout to do and I stopped him. "No! Don't do it! We don't know whatswrong with him yet so don't try to heal him or take the pain intoyou." I said grabbing Ian's arm. "I am only going to probe his body. Imay be able to tell what is wrong with him." he replied. I trusted him to do that and I let goof his arm so he could find out what was wrong. He closed his eyesand his hand began to glow slightly. I could see some discomfort onhis face as his nose scrunched up a bit. He lifted his hand a minutelater and told us what he thought was wrong. "As you can see he is dehydratedbadly. He is also suffering from radiation poisoning. Where did youfind him?" Ian asked. "In a old missile silo." Aiden saidlooking worried. "Don't worry my friend you are fine.You weren't exposed to the radiation long enough to be damaged." Iantold Aiden putting his mind at ease. I looked at Adrien then and warned himto not heal this kid to. I knew that if he could he would do it, butthe fact is if he did it, it would most likely kill him. Ian believedhe could do something for the radiation sickness but as for thedehydration and starvation, we'd have to take care of that the oldfashion way, by feeding him. "Ok I must warn you all. I can helpwith his poisoning, but I will be out of comision for a while afterI do it. It will take a lot out of me to do this." Ian told us. "Wont it end up killing you to healothers like it would Adrien?" Aiden asked. "No I am a different series ofhybrid. I can take the abuse more than Adrien. He is more adept toother things like techknowledgy and mental powers than I am." Ianexplained. "Ok Aiden get another rbed ready forIan. Adrien you stan on that side of him and i'll stay here. If hepasses out while taking the poison from him we can catch him." Itold the others getting ready for Ian to heal the kid. We got in position and Ian laid hishands on the kids chest and head. They began to glow intensely and wecould feel the energy emitting from Ian. A second later he releasedhis hands from the kid and opened his eyes before collapsing intoAdrien and my arms. We lifted him and laid him down on the bed Aidenhad prepped. He was out cold now to but he had helped this kid tomake it through now. The kid opened his eyes slightly then and beganto look around a bit. "Easy honey just lay down. You're oknow. You're safe." Becca told him. "Where am I?" he whispered. "You're in a clinic at our home. Werescued you." Aiden told him. "What's your name?" Becca askedhim. "Tristin." he squeaked out. "Whyam I naked?" he asked then. "We had to get those grody clothesoff you to tel how bad you were hurt." Rebeca explained to him asshe blotted his forehead with a wet rag. I pulled a sheet over him enough tocover his goodies so he felt a little better. He looked around thenand saw some of the others looking on. "Why are they all naked to?" heasked referring to the on lookers and Adrien. "I'll explain later. Right now youneed ot rest and relax. Here's some water." I said tilting a glassof water to his lips giving him a sip. He choked slightly but chugged what hecould. The twins came in a minute later and had a bowl of soup withthem. Some one had passed on the word that he hadn't eaten in a longtime so they were thoughtful enough to bring him something to eat. Itook the bowl and rubbed the top of the boys heads as I smiled tothank them which made them feel good and walked over to our newguest. I sat on the edge of the bed and bega to spoon some soup tohis lips. He happily accepted the food and swallowed it the best hecould. He ended up eating the whole bowl of soup and then closed hiseyes and drifted off to sleep. "Come on everyone out now. He needsto rest." Rebeca said shooing the kids out of the room and awayfrom the door way. She even swatted James on his bare but as a jokeas he ran past her out the door. She volunteered to stay for a whilewith the sleeping boys as the rest of us did what we needed to. Someof the guys and I unloaded the ship with the gear for the missionAdrien planned and the other stuff we snagged. The little kids werethrilled with all the floats and stuff we got, especially Zack andGaige. They now had water wings to put on when they played in thelagoon now and could actually play out in the water some. They wereconfined to the knee deep breakers before and couldn't go out in thewater. I'm sure with Alexey around now they wouldn't have to worryabout getting in trouble in the water but I was making sure they wereok with the water wings. Max was also thrilled at the gift we hadbrought back for him as well. "Thank you than you thank you!" hesaid jumping up and down happily as I pulled out the boogie board forhim. I tried to find things that some of theguys were interested in but didn't have luck for some of them. A fewgot a little mad over Max getting the boogie board and Phil getting anew bow and Arrow set because he liked archery. I tried my best tosatisfy the guys but for some of them it was impossible. Adrien wasgoing through the gear we got for the mission and made sure we hadwhat we needed to carry it out. He had a list of things we were goingto need and was checking things off as he went through it. "We still need a few small things,but in all this was a good haul. You got almost everything we willneed to do the mission." Adrien said happily. "What do we need that we didn't get?"I asked. "For one thermal underwear, a fewmore pairs of thick gloves and some ice hammers." Adrien replied. We grabbed every thing we could fromthe outdoor store but didn't see the stuff he was talking about inthere. I knew that the ice hammers were going to be a hard item tofind but the other stuff we could manage to get some where else. Wehad enough gear for the ones of us that were going, but we didn't haveenough for who ever we found in Alaska that was coming home with us.Those were the ones that needed the gloves and such. Adrien was allfor going to get the stuff now, but I for one thought it was too latein the day now to do that. Once the stuff was out of the ship Aidenand I went to my place to talk about a few things and get out of ourgear we left to go shopping in. "Wow I bet you didn't think you'd findanother survivor today did you?" he asked me. "Nope I sure didn't. It looks likehe's gonna be ok now to." I replied. "How we going to explain about hedead girl that was in there with him?" he said. "Not quite sure yet. Let's just seehow things go when he wakes up and is in his right mind. So let'skeep it our secret for now." I suggested. I couldnt help but to watch him as hepulled the shirt off from covering his tight abs. I nearly cummed myshorts when he bent over to pull the pants he had on off and showedme that tight perfectly shaped butt of his. Then he stands back upshowing everything god gave him to me then. "You ok Jimmy?" Aiden asked as hewalked over in concern. He and Jimmy had become good friendssince Jimmy had arrived. I put my hand on Jimmy's bare shoulder andsat next to him on my big bed. He wasn't crying heavily but you couldtell something was really bothering him. "Come on man tell us. You know we'lldo what we can to help." Aiden said sitting on the other side ofhim. "I just feel so bad. I don't know why.It's just my whole family is dead, all my friends are gone,everything I ever knew is destroyed now." he said as teers flowedfrom his eyes. Aiden and I tried to comfort him thebest we could as he cried. I knew he was depressed, but we all feltthis on some level. I guess he was just feeling ti a little more thanthe rest of us. "Dude I know you feel. So does Aiden.We lost everything and every one we ever knew to. What you gottaremember is we are still here. Now I dont know if there is a god ornot, but if there is he must have chosen us to carry on. You areright about your family, but we are your family now. And I'm sureanyone here will tell you that. I understand why you are sad I havebeen there myself a few times, but Jim you gotta carry on man." Isaid putting my arm around his shoulder. "Couldn't have said it much bettermyself. Hes exactly right Jimmy we all love you here. Some more thanothers, but we all love you man." Aiden said as he nudged my armhinting about the more than others part. "Thanks guys I know you're trying tomake me feel better and all, but I don't know if I ever will again."Jimmy moped. "Dude trust me it will pass. We allhave felt what you're feeling in some form. Some of us have gottenover it and some never will but we have to soldier on and live ourlives now." I told him. "Is there something we can do to makethings better?" Aiden asked him. "I don't know." Jimmy answeredwiping his eyes. "Hey I got an idea, how about thethree of us take a trip. I'll take you guys to your homes to get whatever might be left. You know personal type stuff." I suggested. That seemed to make him feel some whatbetter because he kind of smiled then. "Really? You'd do that for me?"Jimmy asked. "Sure. I have already promised Aidento take him home and you guys both use to live on the west coast. Wecan kill 2 birds with one stone. You know what lets get dressed andgo now. I'm sure we can get it over with pretty quick before it getsdark." I told them. I knew when Adrien found out he wasgoing to be mad because I told him it was too late to go and get therest of the gear for the mission. But this was different. Members ofour extended family needed help and I vowed to help the other boyswhen I could. I loaned Jimmy some clothes to wear and the 3 of ussnuck to the storage room where we stored our mission gear to getready. I showed Jimmy how to put the mini cloaker and special goggleson and all the elbow and knee pads for just in case. Now tat we wereready I opened the door to the room and guess who was standing there.Adrien had his arms crossed and looked unhappy at me. "I know you're pissed but this isdifferent. This is something that I need to take care of and I hopeyou can understand that." I told him. He said nothing and just walked away. Irolled my eyes and shook my head then. I waved the other guys to comeon and they followed me out to the ship. Zack seen us walking out andran over to us. "Can I go to Derrik please?" thelil guy begged. "No Zacky sorry. This could bedangerous. We're going some where we never been before so we don'tknow what to expect. I don't want anything to happen to you ok." Isaid kneeling down to his level. I put my hand to his ear and whisperedto him. "If you want to come to my room when I get home and i'llmake it up to you." He smiled and nodded his head and ranoff then. Jimmy, Aiden, and I then got in the ship and flew off backtowards the west coast for the second time today. I pushed the shiphard making the distance go by fst and within 20 minutes we werearriving on the out skirts of Seattle. Just like so many cities wehave seen before it was torn up. The space needle that was a majorland mark and part of the skyline of the city now lay on its side onthe ground draped over several buildings and city streets. We flewaround surveying the damage fr a few minutes then Aiden directed metowards his old house. When he saw it form above some emotionsescaped him. A few teers dripped down his cheeks and he sniffledslightly. I landed the ship in the street in front of his house andpowered it down. I had a strange feeling that some thing was in thegeneral area but I couldn't tell what it was exactly. "Keep on your toes guys we aintalone." I warned the other two. We got our guns and turned our personalcloakers on before leaving the ship. Cautiously we walked to theremains of Aidens house and checked the outside of it first. All wesaw was rubble and chaos on the ground out side. The house had a hugegaping hole on the side of it and part of the roof was gone. "Ok you two I know this is weird buti'm using my power to talk to you right to your minds. Listen foranythign abnormal and keep your eyes open. We're going to go in soAiden can grab a few things then we have to get out of here." I told hte others with my mind. They both agreed so we went in the bighole in the side of the house and began to look around before hegrabbed anything. Once we had the place checked out Aiden grabbed thepillow off his now destroyed old bed and used the pillow case to stahs some things in. he grabbed a few little things form his roomlike pictures and personal things. The whole time he had teersdripping from his eyes. We went to the room next to his and had topry the door open to force our way inside. The room was pretty muchtrashed but he was intent on getting something from in there. Hewalked over to an overturned dresser and dug around on the ground andpicked something up. When he did I could see the teers flowing freelyfrom hi eyes. Clearly what ever it was he picked up it was preciousdearly to him. I tapped him on the shoulder and told him it was timeto go. He got up and wiped his eyes and I gave him a half hug to lethim know it was ok. The fact of the matter was I sensed somethinggrowing close to us. I wasn't exactly sure of what it was, it wassomething I hadn't sensed before. All I knew it was it made meuneasy. We made our way out of the town up house as fast as we couldand got back in the ship. I sat in the pilot seat and there was somekind of light flashing that I had never seen before. "What's that mean?" Jimmy asked. "No idea. All I can guess is it hassomething to do with what I have been sensing. Let's get the hell outof here before we find out what it is." I said sealing the hatch. The ship lifted upward and we began tomove forward slightly when we saw it. "What the hell is that?!" Aidensaid pointing at the viewing hologram. "I Don't know but it has to be bad.Let's get the fuck out of here before we find out the hard way whatit is." I said jetting the ship out of the area. We saw some sort of thing that lookedlike it was a machine but it was shaped kind of like a dog only a lotbigger. The weird thing about it was that I was sensing it as ananimal, like it was alive. I figured maybe Adrien could help answerthe question of what it was. We tore out of the area and headed tothe coast of California towards Jimmy's home. A few minutes later we arrived in thegeneral area of where Jimmy use to live. It was totally devastatedand looked like an atomic bomb had gone off here. Every home waseither flattened or near to it. Jimmy directed me to where his homewould be and sure enough it wasn't there any more. It was a pile ofburned out lumber and ash now. "Ah man that sucks my house is gone."he said getting sad. "You know what I think this whathappens when the monsters shoot that weapon they got from space. Itlooks like a nuclear bomb went off around here." I said thinkingout loud. Jimmy just sat now with his armscrossed and teers running down his cheeks. I could tell that maybethis wasn't such a good idea now. He looked like he was more depressednow that what he was. It was then I remembers something I read aboutJimmy on the internet a long time ago. He loved rock and metal musicand he played the guitar. I got an idea then of something that maycheer him up, or at least take his mind off the bad things. "Hey Jimmy how bout we go shoppingwhile we're out here?" I asked. "Why? Don't we have enough supplies athome?" Aiden asked. "Yeah but I thought we could go forus for once. You know maybe find a music store and git a few guitars?What do you think Jim?" I asked him as I winked to Aiden hintingto him. "Sure what ever." Jimmy replied notreally being into the moment right now. We headed towards home and luckilyfound what was left of a strip mall with a pawn shop on the end ofit. There were a few other stores so we figured why not and decidedto hit those as well. We ended up with some supplies like TP andtoothpaste and such from one store and some dried and canned foodfrom a small convenient store. From the looks of the place some onehad been here before. I didnt want to take everything just incasesome one was around and depended on these supplies to survive. Wewent into the pawn shop and it to looked like some one had been inthere rooting around. The dead give away to that fact was the cashregister was broken open and empty and all the guns that might havebeen there were gone now. What we did find was plenty of tools andmusical instruments. I told Jimmy to take what he wanted and hepicked out a few guitars he liked. We carried what we wanted out tothe ship then thought about what maybe some of the others wanted. Itwas then I remembered that Max could play the piano so I grabbed abig full size key board for him to play. In the end we had enoughstuff to start our own band if we wanted to. When we got our goodiesloaded in the ship we looked the place over one last time and noticeda room off to the rear of the store. I opened the door and before Iknew it I was laying on my back looking up at the ceiling with Aidenand Jimmy hovering over me. "Shit you ok Derrik?" Aiden askedkneeling down next to me. It was then I felt the pain in the topof my head. "What the fuck just happened?" Isaid groggilly. "Some stuff fell on your head whenyou opened that door and walked in. You was out cold for a minutethere." Jimmy said. They helped me to a seated position andI could feel a lump starting to swell up on the top of my head. Theyhelped me up to my feet and stood there to make sure I was ok. "Damn that looks like it hurts. It'salready swelling up." Aiden said standing on his tip toes to seethe top of my head. "Come on guys let's get the fuckhome." I said now feeling the pain start to spread to the rest ofmy head. The trip home was quick and I landedthe ship in it's normal spot as the sun was just above setting overthe horizon. Most of the guys had come out to greet us as we emergedform the ship. They saw me holding my head so they knew something hadhappened. "What happened another coconut fallon your head?" AJ asked remembering that had happened to me alreadybusting my head open and knocking me out. "No some stuff fell on his head whenwe were getting supplies and stuff." aiden explained. Justin was sent to get some ice in anice pack fro my head while Nathan ran to the clinic to get me someasprin for the pain. I thanked the two of them when they returned andtold the guys to wait till tomorrow to unload the ship. They happillyagreed, but Aiden did take his bag of personals to his currentbungallo. Jimmy and AJ made sure I got to my bungallo ok then left mealone for the night because they knew I how cranky I got when I wasin pain. I striped down just leaving the mission gear laying in themiddle of the floor as I walked to the bathroom. I took a quickshower and walked out to get in bed. Only I couldn't exactly just laydown because some one was in my bed. Lil Zack was laying naked facedown on my bed right on the center fast asleep holding his blanket.It was then I remembered telling him to come over later and I would make it up to him. The poor lil dude must have fallen asleep waitingon me. At least he knew to take a bath before climbing into my bed.He was surely dirty when I saw him earlier before we left. I walkedover and patted him lightly on that tight little butt of his. Hestirred and opened his eyes. "Hi buddy. Sorry it took me so longto get back." I told him. "It's ok. What happened to yourhead?" he asked rubbing his eyes. "Oh I got bumped on the noggin i'llbe ok." I told him. "You still want me to make it up to you oryou wanna just sleep here tonight?" I asked. "Sleep please." he said yawningreally big. "Ok squirt scoot over so I can laydown." I told him. He scooted over some and I laid downnext to him. He scootched up close and cuddle against me. His moppylittle head was laying against my chest and his arm draped over mybelly. I stroked the top of his head as he slowly but surely driftedoff back to sleep. I don't know if it was being hit on the head or ifit was from being worn out but I fell asleep soon after. I woke upand tried to stretch the next morning but felt very sore for somereason, more so then when I fell asleep. I noticed that Zack was nowgone from my bed and that Aiden was sitting in a chair next to my bednodded off asleep. "Why are you siting there for?" Iasked as I sat up. "Derrik?!" he replied opening hiseyes quickly. "Umm yeah who else would I be?" Iasked not knowing what was going on. Aiden jumper out of the chair and intobed with me hugging me tightly. I couldn't help but to hug backbecause for me this was sort of a fantasy come true. "Ummm, Aiden you wanna tell me what'sgoing on? Where did Zacky go? When I fell alseep he was laying herewith me." I asked. "Derrik that was two days ago. Youhave been sleeping for two days now. It must have been that bump onyour head that did it. Zack ran out to find help crying when hecouldn't get you to wake up. Adrien checked on you and said your mindwas in another place right then, so in other words you wasunconcious. I was so scared you were going to die on us." Aidensaid right before giving me one of the biggest shocks I have had in along time. He grabbed the sides of my face andplanted his lips right against mine kissing me deeply. I just meltedinto his arms and kissed back loving the moment we were sharing.After we invaded each others mouths with our tongues we looked intoeach others eyes. It was then I knew I was in love with him for sure.Sure I loved AJ and most of the other guys and the stuff we dotogether, but this was different. This was that feeling ofbutterflies in your stomach kind of love. I was so happy that thiswas happening and actually wondered if I was still sleeping and thiswas a dream. He pulled away from me a second later and I was stilltrying to catch my breath. "Did that really just happen or am Istill asleep?" I asked. "No it happened." he said beforekissing me one more quick time. "But I thought you said you couldn'tlike me like that." I said referring to what he said in the shipthe other day. "Well I wasn't sure what I was feelingthen. When you wouldn't wake up I got scared and I guess sitting herewith you made me realize I was just lieing to myself about not likingyou. I do you like and have since the first day we met. It's justthose things that happened to me made me think I would never love anyone. And seeing you lay there out cold like that made me feelhorrible for what happened to your head. If I hadnt wanted to go homethen maybe it would have never happened. I'm sorry Derrik, for yourhead and lieing to you." he said spilling his heart out. "Wow. I'm speechless." was all Icould think of to say. Here I was sitting in bed with what wasessentially the perfect boy and he just admitted finally that helikes me. I truly didnt know what to think, but I knew I was feelingsort of happy. He took hold of my hand then and just held it as hischeeks blushed. "Never did anything like this beforewillingly have you?" I asked. He shook his head no and sort of lookeddown then. "look man I don't expect anything fromyou. I mean you telling me what you just did and that kiss, wow thatkiss, is more than I would have ever expected. We'll take this slowok. I know you cant just jump in with both feet so we'll just strollinto it." I said reffering to our now apparent love relationship. He smiled and kissed me one more timeon the lips and smiled evilly. "Come on I got something to showyou." he said jumping out of bed and giving me a view of hisperfect body. "Wow that's nice!" I said staring athis now raging boner. He looked down and just laughed. "Nonot that silly come on I got something else you gotta see." hesaid. I scooted my sore bones out of bed andstretched as I stood up. My head was still a little sore where I washit and I did feel a bit queasy but I would be ok. I suggested wewait a minute till our wood had gone down before we left to see whathe wanted to show me. After a few minutes he led me towards the mainbuilding. I noticed Zack see us then turn around and run as fast ashe could the other way. Usually he would have ran over to me andjumped up in my arms. It seemed a little odd that he didn't and justran away. Aiden was smiling the whole time so I figures something wasup. He led me into the main building and to the big meeting/ballroom. When he opened the door and I walked in I had the complete shitscared out of me. "SURPRISE!" everyone yalled as they jumped outat me. It was some kind of party but I wasn't sure for what. "What is this for?" I asked Aiden. "Well it's a get well soon/ birthdayparty." he replied. "Oh my god." I said as teersstarted to well up in my eyes. I had totally forgotten about it beingmy own birthday. I was so wrapped up in making sure things went okaround here and making sure the others were taken care of I totallyforgot about it. Everyone had on little party hats and were shootingme with silly string as I stood there in awe and teers. Zack ran overto me and this time did jump up in my arms so I could hold him. "Derrik if I didnt love you like abro, i'd totally kick your ass for being so loud." Adam replied ina groan. "What's wrong with you?" I askedhim. "I have a head ache from hell and Ifeel like I have a hangover." he moaned. "Well here take some of these and getup. Adrien needs us all to come to this meeting. I dont know what hewants to tell us but it seems to be important." I told him handinghim some asprins. He popped the pills in his mouth andswallowed them down with a gulp of water. I let Adrien know we'd be afew minutes and I sat next to AJ and waited on the pills to kick in abit. Eventually after about 20 minutes they started to affect him andtoo the edge off his pain. The two of us then went to the meetingroom where everyone was waiting on us. As I was walking to my seat Inoticed Jimmy had a pair of boxers and a t-shirt on. I wasn't surewhat was behind that whole thing, but i'd let it got till later. Isat down and Adrien looked out at us with a worried look. "Ok I appologize for calling you allhere so early in the morning, but I feel that this is informationthat you all should know. First of all most if not all of you knowabout the other hybrid kids that are in the posession of the USmillitary in the base in Alaska. I am also sure that all of you knowhow drivin I am to rescue them. To some fo you I am I sorry forneglecting you in my ambitions to rescue these kids. (he said lookingat Carry to tell her he was sorry for not being there enough) Thereason I want to rescue these kids is that I feel they could be acrutuial part to our survival in the future. I dont want to beboastful or gloat, but we wouldn't be here where we are right nowwith out the hybrids. (he referred to himself, Ian, and Alexey.) Ibelive having more hybrids around could only secure the future of oursurvival. Now some of these kids have been used for medical sciencesand are infected with some pretty bad deseases. They are possiblydieing right now or could be contageous. That is part of the reason Iwanted to have this meeting. I would like to know how you feel aboutbringing the sick ones here." Adrien announced. "Well I for one dont think we need tohave and carrieres of infectious deseases around. What if some of usget infected? In the worst case we could all die from it. So if thisis a vote mine would have to be no to bringing the danferouslyinfected ones here." Rabecca said making a very valid point. "I hate to say it but she is right.My vote has to be no on that to Adrien sorry. It's just toodangerous." I said. "Everyone for bringing the dangerouslyinfected hybrids raise your hands." I said. No one in the room raised their handsignalling that it was unanimous that no one wanted the deathly sickones here. With that agreed upon Adrein went on to his next order ofbusiness. "Ok I guess since that is decided Ishould go on. The ones we do rescue may not be what is called"developed" yet. Now what I mean is they may not be boy or girlyet. And they may not be very intelligent. And they are mostycertainly going to be of different age ranges. So if we decide totake them in we must be teachers and friends to them, and I do meanall of us even the very young ones of us. On the other hand some ofthem may be very inteligent, even more so than I. We wont know forsure until we get to them. Now if we go through with this we will bebringin the wrath of what is left of the millitary upon us. Theyalready know of our existance, but they dont know where or who we arefor sure. All they know is we have access to alien weapons and shipsand have the ability to infiltrate them. That is enough for them toconsider us the enemy. We are in no real danger here from thembecause this island is secure from any invasionary forces that anyremaining military forces on the earth can put together so there isno worries there. The other thing I wanted to tell you about is thatthere are human survivors at this base that are non millitary likethe ones we rescued from area 51. we must give them the same choice to come here and be free. If they accept we must bring them. If notwe have to let them stay there. It is their choice." he told all ofus. With all of that said everyone sat fora minute letting that all sink in. the younger boys could care lessabout all of this because they didn't really grasp the whole conceptof it all, but us older kids all knew too well what was at stake. Weall discussed it between us quietly when Adrien mentally told me heneeded to speak with me and Jimmy. I nodded ot him and went over toJimmy and asked him to join me. Adrien visited with Carry for a fewminutes and just showed he did care for her a lot. "so what's up with the shirt andboxers?" I asked Jimmy. "Please dont be mad, but I just cantrun around naked like that any more. I thought I could, but it's justtoo weird to me for some reason now. I mean I dont mind all of youguys being that way, but I just cant." he said being truthful. "it's ok bro dont worry about it. Ifit's embarrassing to you that's fine. Come with me me and Adrien needto talk to you about some thing." I told him. "What is it?" he wondered. "Dunno, we got to wait on the hybridfor that. To told me he needed to talk to you so here we are." Ireplied. Adrien walked up then and nodded hishead to the side telling us to follow him. The three of us left thebig room and went to the kitchen next to it to talk. "Ok I know you both want to know whatis so important. I have recently tapped into a comunicationssatellite that the millitary is using and I have retrieved some newinformation. Jimmy your friend Randy is alive. He was recovered bythe Army near where you were found in a forrested area. He is at theAlaska base. That is all the information I could manage to find out."he told us. "Randy is alive? You're sure? Hisname is Randy Shelly?" Jimmy asked getting anxious. Adrien held up a hand held pda screenand sowed us a picture of who he was talking about. Jimmy's eyesimmediately welled up and his nose and lips began to quiver. Teersbegan to fall from his eyes and he smiled. "It's him. He made it. I knew he'dmake it!" he said happily. It was clear from the emotion he wasshowing that the two of them became close friends in the time theyspent together training for their next movie roles. I knew right thenif we went on the mission that Jimmy was going to incist he got to goalong. He wiped his eyes and sniffled a few times then smiled. "This really makes my day. I knewhe'd make it out alive. He was so much stronger willed than I was.Guys if he's at that base I want to go to. I have to at least let himknow I'm ok." Jimmy said. "Well we kinda figured that. Yes youcan go along. Just keep in mind our primary goal is rescuing hybridsand people that WANT to coem here. If Randy doesn't want to leavewe're not going to force him to." I pointed out. "Trust me once he sees me alive,he'll be coming with us." Jimmy said with a grin. It was finally decided of who was goingnow. The line up of who was going in the beginning had changed. Itnow was Adrien, me, AJ, Josiah, and now Jimmy. We decided on asmaller group of guys, but big enough to get the job done. We filledJimmy in on the plans so he got up to speed and knew what he wasgettign his self into. The chance to see Randy again was more thanenough encouragement for him to go through with it. The day finally came for us to go onthe great rescue mission and we all had butterflies in our stomachs.Adrien gave Carry and long hug and loving kiss good bye just incasesomething bad happened. AJ held Donny in his arms as the little guycried and begged AJ not to go. He comforted him and told him he wouldcome back to him. Being their cousin Josiah tried to help calm Donnydown some as well. I had my fair share of the little guys all huggingme bye with a few wet cheeks from crying. Aiden gave me a huge wetkiss right in front of every one and ordered me to come back to him.Some of the guys said bye to Jimmy, but it was like no one reallycared enough about him like they did the rest of us. I could onlyfigure it was because they didn't really know him yet, but I'm suresome really did care.i was really surprised then when the twins wentup to him and hugged him at the same time and said they would misshim. I read his thoughts and I knew he was choked up over the twinsshowing him such friendship. He thought it was something he had lostand would never find again, and here it was hugging him from bothsides. Once the good byes were said the 6 of us got in the shiploaded with gear and headed to Alaska. Oh that's right did I say 6 ofus? Yes I did. Alexey decided to join us at the last minute to stay on the ship towatch over it and be there to support us if we needed it. Back to themission, the 6 of us got in the ship and Adrien powered it up and itlifted off the beach. We watched as everyone waived us off. AJ got alittle emotional because he knew this quite possibly may be the lasttime he ever sees his baby brother. It was the same for all of us,but we knew this needed to be done. "You guys ready for this?" I asked. "No. hell no. but let's get it done."AJ replied. Adrien turned on the anti gravity inthe ship making us all float in place and then he engaged the driveengines shooting us through the sky at many times the speed of sound.At this rate we should be in Alaska in no time.
