When they got to the other side of the lake, Alex helped Reese out of the
water and sat down before pulling his shirt back on.

"You o.k?" he asked carefully.

"Yeah, I was just freaked is all. I know you would never let anything bad
happen to me on purpose" Reese said grabbing his shirt and sitting beside
him.

Alex pulled him closer and kissed him on the cheek "that's a promise" Alex
smiled to the small boy.

They walked back towards the tent, and then Alex turned towards the
bathhouse.

"Where are we going?" Reese asked.

" I need a shower, and I'm sure you want to wash the stink of that bitch
off of you too" Alex responded.

"Yeah" Reese replied moving closer to Alex.

After the shower the two boys headed back to the tent, Reese was kinda
quiet.

"Hey, don't tell Jesse about that. o.k.?"

"No problem" Alex replied as they walked up to the tent where Jesse sat
alone idly playing in the fire.

"Where did your date go?" Alex asked with a chuckle.

"Oh, he had to go." Jesse replied absently.

"Ahh so he just made a booty call" Alex shot back.

Jesse only looked at Alex not responding.

"Hey lets go to the basketball court or something" Alex suggested in an
attempt to change the subject.

The basketball court was packed. There were kids of all ages.

"Damn the place really filled up didn't it?" Reese said surprised.

"No shit" Jesse said equally surprised.

"Well that's more for you to choose from Jesse" Alex said patting Jesse on
the back.

"Damn Alex what you tryin to do turn me into a whore?"

"You interested?" Alex chuckled "if you are? Then I want half of the money"

This caused all three of the boys to laugh.

"we got next" Alex piped up over the noise, pulling his hair back into a
tail. Several boys turned to look at them for a moment before going back to
what they were doing.

After a few games Reese walked over to the sidelines. "I'm tired, " he said
breathing heavily.

Alex and Jesse had walked over to him "pick up three" Alex said to the
other two boys that had been on their team.

They sat there awhile looking at the other boys and not saying much.

Alex got up and ran to the tent and brought back a soda for each of the
boys.

"Aww man that hits the spot" Reese said letting out a large gasp followed
by a loud burp.

This caused the other two to laugh so hard they had tears in their
eyes. Some of the other boys looked at them uncomfortably.

"They're still scared of you, you know?" Jesse said softly

"Yeah, I know. Kinda getting used to it though" Alex said softly " same
shit at school. But it's cool"

Somehow Jesse didn't believe that at all.

"Hey I think I'm gonna go find T" Reese said getting up to leave.

"I thought you didn't like him?" Jesse questioned him.

"Well I guess he is alright" Reese said turning to leave.

"Wanna take a walk?" Alex asked.

Jesse got up and said "sure"

The two boys walked towards the woods without even discussing it. "I think
we are getting to be pretty good friends". Alex thought to himself, he was
surprised at how much he liked Jesse.

"I mean don't get me wrong" he thought to himself "I knew we would be cool
but we just seem to think a lot alike, and he seems to respect me, and
trust me. its really cool watching him come out of his shell too."

The two boys worked their way up the hill and finally settled on a ledge
overlooking the basketball court, but too high to make out any details on
the boys they were watching.

"Hey about that comment earlier?  I wasn't trying to make you into a whore"
Alex stated.

"I know, I was just fuckin with ya" Jesse smiled at him "I do wish I could
find someone to be with though."

"What's wrong with Rickey?" Alex asked.

"He's alright I guess. But he is so shy I mean I have to instigate
everything. I mean damn spring break will be over before I can get him to
fuck"

"So what have you two done so far?"

"You know just a little kissing and then some sucking. He nearly ripped me
open when I asked him to finger me" This caused Alex to laugh in spite of
himself." And its not like I really know what I am doing. All I know I
learned from you and Eddie. And I kinda want to get fucked again. I know
that was blunt and all, but I mean it. I am horney" This time the both of
them were laughing. "but seriously " Jesse said still giggling " I haven't
been with anyone else since you and Eddie"

"yeah I know the feeling" Alex replied "since I met Kevin I haven't been
with anyone else either. And he and I hardly ever see each other. Until
Reese the other night Kevin was the only one I fucked with." Alex said
realizing he had just verified that he had infact taken' Reese's
virginity. He studied Jesse's eyes not sure what he was reading.

Jesse looked down at his hands for a few minutes before looking up at Alex
"Eddie took my virginity and you took my brothers" he paused. "What's that
like?" he looked into Alex's eyes.

Alex looked back until he got the meaning; he realized that Jesse felt
betrayed or perhaps hurt.

"Hey listen Jesse" Alex said as Jesse turned away, but not before Alex
noticed the tears starting to form "Its not like it's a game or
something. I know that's what you are thinkn'. Like me and Eddie were
lookin around for some boys to deflower or sumthin' all some game. I mean
things have changed. I was curious and horney and all that, lookin for
someone to play with. That has changed somewhat, I still love to suck dick
and all, I just feel like I'm cheating on Kevin if I fuck or get fucked."

Alex looked at Jesse who was now looking into his eyes again.

"Man I wish we could fuck right now" Jesse said with a chuckle as he wiped
his eyes "thanks Alex, I like you too. I don't think I ever had a friend as
good as you, and I do believe you."

"You know something Jesse?" Alex said putting his arm around his friend.

"What?"

"Your alright for a white boy" The two boys laughed again. Until finally
they decided to head back to the basketball court.

When they got there, Reese was nowhere to be found.

"I wonder where Reese is?" Alex wondered allowed.

"That's Reese for ya, he found T and they are off God knows where" Jesse
responded.

The two boys jumped into another game as the crowd started to dwindle away,
it was getting near dinnertime and the boys could smell the barbecue as it
filled the air around the campsite. Music played from the many campsites.

After a couple of games Alex and Jesse again dropped out and sat on the
sideline to watch the others play.

Alex continued to scan the area for Reese but still could not find him.

" Guess we'll hang here a little while longer and then we can try to find
Reese before it gets dark, If we're gonna eat we better get to mom and
dad's trailer while they are eating or else they will assume we ate
somewhere else and aint comin. Then we're shit out of luck"

"Yeah I guess your right" Jesse replied getting up and walking over to the
water fountain for a drink.

As he started to walk back Alex noticed him stopping and staring at
something, Alex followed his gaze until his eyes rested on a young boy of
about 12. If Alex had never met Kevin, this boy would have been hands down
the most beautiful creature he had ever seen.

As he approached, Jesse still did not move. The boy appeared not to walk,
but to glide across the field leading to the basketball court, his arms at
his side barely moving. Alex continued to watch him as he approached.

The boys eyes surveyed the area fixing on nothing in particular, he did
this with grace and indifference.

When his eyes met Alex's, they held for just a moment and Alex was able to
look into his eyes, they were blue and they were green. They appeared to
change colors before his eyes. And then like that they moved onto the next
site.

Alex continued to watch him. Jesse still had not moved, his mouth was
open. The boy seemed to notice this and slowly continued to glide toward
him.

His hair was blond and carelessly spiked, his lips were bright red and his
skin was very smooth. While light, it had just a hint of color to it. His
cheeks were red, almost as if he were cold. He wore white slacks with an
orange t-shirt, and white deck shoes.

Alex thought to himself "this boy is not here to play basketball" As he got
up and walked toward the water fountain himself.

The boy continued to look at Jesse holding his gaze and then moved his gaze
toward the water fountain. With the same indifference with which he looked
at Alex.

When he walked past him Alex walked up to Jesse and whispered, "your
drooling " and gave him a small nudge.

The two boys watched as the smaller boy gracefully bent down and pursed his
lips to drink.

Alex watched those beautiful lips part slightly to allow the water to flow
past them. He then turned to watch the game taking place on the court.

"Damn" Alex whispered

"He is gay as hell I bet" Jesse croaked causing both boys to bust out
laughing.

"Come on" Alex pulled Jesse toward the boy.

The boy turned and watched the two approach momentarily before again
turning back to the game.

"You here to play ball?" Alex said as they approached.

The boy did not respond.

"You can pick up on our team if ya want" Alex tried again.

"Thank you" the boy responded in a soft flowing voice that was almost
hypnotic "I'm afraid I'm not very good, I prefer to watch."

"Well that's all right, we're just here to have fun anyway" Alex replied.

"Thank you, I think I would prefer to watch. But it is very kind of you to
offer"

"I'm Alex" He offered his hand to the boy " this is Jesse"

"Hey " Jesse spoke softly

"My name is Niklas" He said taking Alex's hand. Alex was surprised at how
soft and warm his hands were. They were not the least bit moist, but
warm. It was like placing your hand into a velvet glove. Alex realized that
he was still holding the boy and pulled away quickly.

"Nice to meet you Nicholas"

"It's Niklas"

"Huh?" Alex said confused.

"There is no O. Just Niklas"

"Ahh, my bad" Alex replied "well nice meeting you Niklas, hope to see you
around"

Alex and Jesse turned away and began to leave.

"Thank you Alex, I hope to see you as well"

Alex turned to look at Jesse and the two boys shared confused looks.

When they were away from the basketball court Alex spoke again.

"Well that was interesting"

"I don't think I will be able to get that boy out of my mind" Jesse
whispered.

"He was damned gorgeous" Alex replied as the two headed out to find Reese.

The two boys started walkin toward the pools when Reese came running toward
them.

"Hey Reese. Did ya ever find T?" Alex yelled over to him

"Yeah" Reese said slowing his stride and walking toward them.

"Where is he?" Jesse inquired

"Oh he's still over by the pool"

"Cool, is he coming over tonight? " Jesse asked

"I dunno, I never asked him"

The two older boys exchanged confused glances. As they continued to walk
towards the pools. As they approached Alex noticed another taller boy
standing next to T, when the two boys saw them coming the taller one began
to walk away. He heard T tell the boy bye and then start walking toward
them.

"Who was that?" Alex inquired as T walked up.

"His names Kenny, I just met him today"

Alex looked at Reese and his suspicions were confirmed.

"Why did you leave so fast Reese? You hardly said good bye" T asked.

"Well I told ya I needed to find Jesse and Alex" Reese said a little
harshly.

Alex took off after Kenny calling behind him.

"Hey Kenny!"

The boy never turned around, but picked up his stride and bolted towards
the main road. Alex realized he didn't have a chance at catching him, gave
up chase and returned to the other boys who were looking at each other
confused.

"What was that all about?" Jesse asked

"That's what I was wonderin" T chimed in.

"Guess I thought it was someone else" Alex said absently looking at Reese
who moved closer to him.

"So T. you hangin with us tonight? " Alex asked changing the subject

"I dunno. Not sure I wanna get drunk, I didn't feel too good this morning"

"You was feelin pretty good last night" Alex giggled, "its up to you, we'll
be there"

"Um let me go ask my parents"

"That's cool, we gotta find sumthin to eat anyway" Alex said as the boys
parted ways.

"Maybe we should check in with our dad" Jesse spoke up

"That sounds like a good idea" Alex agreed

'I don't want to go" Reese said with a hint of desperation.

"Come on Reese, Don't you think dad is worried about us? The least we can
do is check in with him"

"I don't want to go" Reese said again. "Unless Alex goes with us"

"Stop bein such a pussy"

"Jesse, come on now" Alex spoke up putting his hand on Reese's shoulder.

Reese looked to Alex for support on this one, but was surprised when Alex
agreed with Jesse.

"Look man, you can't avoid your dad forever. I mean after the week is over
you will have to go home with him. Tell ya what, in an hour if you two guys
are not back I will come for ya. That sounds good"

Reese nodded his head but his fear was still very evident.

"See ya in an hour" Alex said as they parted ways " oh and Jesse?"

"Yeah?" Jesse turned toward him

"Stay gay hushpuppy" Alex giggled as he walked away.

"Yeah I got your hush puppy" Jesse shot back at him giggling.

Alex headed to his folks' trailer all the while worrying about
Reese. Dinner wasn't ready yet so he told them he was takin a shower and
would be back, he grabbed his clothes and headed off towards the
showers. When he got there he was pleasantly surprised to see a nice lookin
boy of about 15 or 16 walk past him adjusting his pants, and then out of
what he was sure was the same stall emerged his angel from earlier.

"Hello Alex" the boy said walking past him.

"Hey Niklas" Alex responded still quite confused

As Niklas started to leave Alex reacted. "WHOA WHOA WHOA" He chuckled "
come here a minute".

Niklas glided toward him confidently.

"Umm did I just see what I thought I saw?" Alex said rubbing his forehead.

"Perhaps. But some questions are better left unanswered" The response
rolled off his tongue in a hypnotic tone.

"Ahh but some I just have to ask" Alex smiled back making the boy shuffle
uncomfortably from foot to foot.

Now Niklas' confidence was deflated momentarily.

"Hey I didn't even ask the question yet, why so glum chum?"

Niklas raised his eyes to meet his again.

Alex already knew all that he needed to know.

"I was surprised that one so pretty as you would use a public restroom,
hell I was surprised that you even shit" He giggled giving the smaller boy
a playful shove.

Niklas laughed softly out of relief, his eyes held Alex's for a moment and
in them Alex could see that the boy was thanking him for not asking the
question.

"Well as they say Alex, when you have to go, you have to go"

"Umm yeah, hey you wanna hang out for abit. My folks won't have dinner
ready for about 20 minutes and I was just gonna take a Quick shower"

Niklas again studied the older boys eyes.

"Just wait here for me will ya? I'll just be a sec"

Niklas leaned against the washbasin "why not?" he replied.

Alex jumped into the shower hoping that the boy would join him but he
didn't want to invite him as the boy was clearly not that comfortable with
that.

Alex could here voices now outside the curtain. Someone was talking to
Niklas and he could here Niklas tell them no several times.

Alex hurried through his shower so he could see what was going on, he
didn't even bother to dress instead walking out in a towel just as Niklas
and another boy had started to walk toward the stall. Acting as if he
didn't know what was taking place Alex yelled out as he walked from the
shower stall.

"Alright I'm done now" Both boys turned around and looked at him with a
shocked expression on their faces. The other boy was quite handsome, about
15 with black hair and gray eyes. He looked at Niklas uncomfortably for
abit before saying" hey I gotta go, see ya later " and darted out the door.

Alex looked at Niklas who was now looking defeated again.

"Hey man you should really relax abit" Alex said as Niklas looked at him
again with a sad expression.

"Maybe this will lighten you up" Alex said pulling open his towel, he
noticed the look of surprise on Niklas' face. Then he was surprised himself
as the boy dutifully moved toward him.

"Whoa, it wasn't an invitation" Alex chuckled as he began to dress. " I
mean don't get me wrong. You gotta be one of the best-damned looking boys I
have ever seen, but I don't want anyone to do me dutifully. If you aint
into it, then neither am I"

Now the small boys expression changed from sad to confused.

Alex finished dressing and Pulled Niklas with him out of the shower room
and the harsh fluorescent lights.

The moonlight just somehow seems to deintensify a mood sometimes.

"Hey listen Niklas. I don't care what you do, you seem nice enough to
me. My friends and me mess around. It's just fun we do what we want, and
anything we don't want to do? We simply don't."

Niklas only stared at Alex not responding.

Alex smiled at him" tell ya what. Think about it, if your interested come
find my tent. It's just up from the basketball courts, you'll be able to
find it. It's the one with the loud music and even louder grunting and
moaning" Alex gave him another playful push and walked past him.

"Oh and by the way? Nice talkin to you again. Hope I see ya around"

Over his shoulder he heard the soft voice say " Thank you Alex. I hope I
see you again as well"

Alex did not look back, he had a feeling that if he did he would either see
a look of confusion or he would see those beautiful sea green eyes wet with
tears..
