				Part Twelve

"Did you hear the two of them in here, giggling together like that when
we were out on the deck..." I heard my Mom say as I headed for the
bathroom.

I slipped my hands under the warm water next to Barton's, and felt the bar
of soap slide over into them.

"Sorry I got so..." Don't say scared, John. "...mad."

"That's okay," Barton smiled. "You just didn't know how cool my Dad is. I
can ask him anything."

I watched as Barton rinsed his hands, reached for a face cloth then wet it
and rubbed it over his face.

"Do you always do that?" I asked.

"Yeah. It feels nice."

"Oh."

He dipped the cloth into the water again and wrung it. "Here, I'll show
ya. Look over here."

Was he going to wash me? What would he do that for? Would it be like when
my Mom used to wash me when I was a baby?

I turned my head.

Barton lifted the soft, warm cloth to my face and carefully rubbed it
across my forehead and then around my eyes as I closed them.

I stood there, the warm water still running over my hands and let him
finish. He was right - it was nice, like when I was a baby.

He rinsed the cloth out again, wrung it and hung it back up and began to
dry his hands. "Dink," he said.

"Wha...?"

"Dink," he said again smiling.

First he washes my face, and now he's calling me names?

"Whud'you call me?"

"Nothin," he said plainly. "You asked me what I call it, 'member?"

What he calls it? Ohhhhhh...

"Oh. Well I guess that's as bad as wiener," I laughed.

"Yeah," he shrugged. "I guess."

I turned the water off and took the towel from him. "So do you wanna watch
some TV?"

"Sure, I guess," he looked sorta serious, but smiled shyly. "But maybe we
could just go out in your tent instead."

"Ok, I'll ask." Oh, man I sure hope he wants to be alone and kiss and
stuff as much as I do.

I went back into the dining room where the three adults still sat, and
stood next to my Mom.

"Mom?"

"Yes? What is it?"

"We don't wanna watch TV. Can we just go out to my tent now?"

"Hmmm... Well, come over here for a minute." She put her arm around my
waist and pulled me in, and I leaned in against her shoulder.

She took a big breath and said, "You can go out to the tent, but you'll
have to take a shower first. You stink."

 I backed away a bit. "Mo-m... I do not."

She pulled me back and put her nose in my hair. "Yes you do. You smell
like kid! Yuck!"

I looked across the table. "Da-d..." I pleaded, but he was holding his
nose and smiling with his eyes half-closed, and I knew I wouldn't get any
help there.

"Ok, geez..." I said.

As I turned away I saw Barton leaning into the room against the kitchen
doorway.

"And that goes for you too, unless you want to come over here and pass the
sniff test," his father said behind me.

Barton rolled his eyes. "Funny, Dad. No thanks."

We walked through the kitchen as Barton's Dad said, "That's an interesting
way to get a kid to take a bath..."

"And use soap, please," my Dad called behind us.

Oh, brother.

"Oh well," I said. "We can make it quick and then we still got all night
to fool around."

"Yeah, I guess. You can go first if you want, I gotta go out to your tent
and get my pajamas and stuff, Ok?"

"That's Ok," I said. "I'll wait."

He turned and looked at me with a questioning look. "Ok," he said as he
went into the hall.

Oh, man. I didn't mean I'd wait for him to take a shower with me, I just
meant... What did I mean? Scenes of him taking off his clothes in front of
me, and me taking mine off in front of him went by in my head. I felt a
tingle between my legs.

That would be so nice, and I wanted to do it too!

I wanted him to see me naked. I wanted to kiss him and show my body to him
and now I can feel a boner in my underpants just thinking about it. Oh,
no!

Quickly, I darted into the bathroom, started the shower, undressed and
jumped in. I sort of did want to wait for him, but had started feeling shy
about it now and was hoping to be done by the time he got back.

I smeared a little shampoo on the top of my head, rubbed it around for a
second, then heard my Dad's voice in my head and reached for the soap.

I gave myself the once over, rinsed off quickly almost forgetting my hair.
Then I shut the water off, pulled the curtain back and started to reach for
a towel.

"Yipe!" I yelled. There was Barton, standing there with his hands full of
clothes, his eyes wide.

I pulled the curtain back in front of me so fast I nearly pulled the whole
thing down. "Geez, Barton...!"

"I'm sorry... Really, John... I didn't, I mean, I thought..."

"Uh, it's ok..." I stammered back. "But can you hand me a towel?"

"Sure."

I saw his shadow moving closer and stuck my face around the curtain. He
was standing next to the tub now, holding out a towel in his right hand,
his pajamas still tucked under his left arm. His head was tipped slightly
down and his left hand covered his glasses.

I reached for the towel and grabbed his wrist instead. "Hey," I whispered.

His fingers split open a bit and one blue eye peeked out from behind
them. "What?" he whispered back.

I tugged on his arm and leaned out a little and kissed him quickly on the
lips. "Thanks," I said as I took the towel and ducked back inside.

I dried off somewhat and wrapped the towel around my waist and pulled the
curtain back all the way, but Barton was not there.

I brushed my teeth and then looked around and realized that I hadn't
thought to bring any clean clothes in with me. Crap. Oh well. I tucked
the towel in real good, grabbed my old clothes and went in to my room.

There was Barton, sitting on the edge of the bed, still holding his pajamas
to his chest. "Im sorry 'bout that," he started, "but I thought you
said..."

"Yeah, I know," I smiled at him as I threw clothes toward somewhere near
the laundry basket. "Its alright. You just kinda s'prised me, that's
all."

While Barton was in the bathroom, I picked out clean underwear and started
going thru my pajamas. I hadn't really worn any of them in awhile and they
all looked kinda dopey and were probably too small now anyway so I put on a
pair of sweatshorts and a long t-shirt.

Soon, Barton came out of the bathroom in his pajamas. They were light blue
with dark blue around the edges. His face was all pink and his hair was
combed straight.

He looked different - younger - like a really little kid in a catalog
picture.

Then I noticed it. He wasn't wearing his glasses. "Wow." I said.

"What?" he asked as he stuffed his clothes into one of the bags he'd
brought from the tent.

"Nothing - you just look so..." I wanted to say "sexy" but it didn't feel
right, "...different. Without your glasses I mean."

"Oh, yeah. They get all fogged up," he said as he put them back on.

"K, you ready?"

He nodded his head and smiled.

"Awright. Let's go!"

I ran down the stairs as fast as I could and banged out the door with
Barton right behind. The grass was damp now, and the sun was very low in
the sky. The smell of the summer evening filled my nose sweet and soft. I
stopped and let Barton catch up. "Hey, you didn't run into me that time,"
I said.

Barton stood next to me in silence, looking straight ahead across the
clearing at the colors in the sky. He reached for my hand and found it. I
squeezed back.

"C'mon," I said as I took a step towards the tent.

We were about halfway across the lawn when suddenly -

"Goodnight boys!" my Mom's voice rang out from the deck.

Barton squeaked and jumped straight up and came down on my foot.

"Yeowww!" I yelped as I grabbed my foot and hopped around.

Barton had fallen over and was just sitting there as the adults chuckled in
the fading light on the deck.

"That's not funny," I said as I set my sore toes back on the grass. "You
scared Barton to heck."

"Did not," he said getting up.

"Did so. You jumped a mile and I think my foot is broken where you landed
on it."

"Sorry."

"I'm sorry too," Mom said. "Do we need a hospital run?"

I pulled my foot back up and rubbed it a little. "Nah."

"Ok, well you guys don't stay up too late now, OK?"

"K Mom." I put my foot back down. The grass was really wet now. I put my
hand around the back of Barton's pj's. "You must'a got soaked when you
fell..."

He made a funny face and said, "No, not really," as he brushed my hand away
quickly.

"And watch out for the bears," Dad called.

"Bears??" Barton asked.

"Oh, brother. That one is so old," I said as I grabbed Barton's hand.
"Goodnight Mom."

"Goodnight Dad" Barton said.

Their goodnites fell behind us as we reached the tent and crawled in. It
wasn't really dark yet but I lit the lantern anyway.

Everything was ready - just as we had left it - with one small addition.

"Look -" Barton said. He was pointing towards my pillow.

Mom had sneaked in and left a plate on my pillow. The last of the
chocolate cake - cut into the shape of a large brown bear - and two forks.

We both looked back at each other. "Maybe we should save it for later,"
Barton said.

"You want to?"

Barton shrugged. He looked at the "bear" and back at me. "Is it later
yet?"

"Yup," I said and reached for a fork.

For the next few hours we played games of all kinds, kissed and hugged a
little, played more games, ate M&M's and popcorn and drank sodas and kissed
and touched a little more. I liked it when Barton put his hand under my
shirt, it made me shiver again.

Then I got real brave and put my hand on his leg and kissed him and moved
my hand up a little. Barton squirmed away a little and said, "Wait. I uh,
I gotta go."

I didn't want to stop, but I knew I had to go too. "Ok, c'mon," I said as
I headed for the screen and unzipped it.

We crawled out and Barton headed for the house.

"Hey, where you goin'?" I asked.

"Um, I gotta go, John - real bad." He pointed toward the house. His other
hand went between his legs.

"You mean pee?"

"YES." He looked desperate now.

"Well c'mon then." I motioned towards the woods. "When you're camping out
you just find a tree. Besides it's closer." I started walking.

Barton hesitated a second then sort of ran up beside me. I could tell he
wasn't kidding. He looked like he was in pain.

We reached the closest tree at the same time and before I knew it Barton
was squirting a stream straight out onto the bark with a loud splash. It
was too dark for me to see anything, but he didnt seem to care.

I lowered the front of my shorts not sure if I'd be able to go because I
had such a boner but I pushed a little and listened to Barton pee and soon
joined him, my boyhood straight out and hard as ever.

Barton let out a long sigh as we both finished at the same time.

We turned and headed back to the tent. "I guess we drank a lot of soda," I
said. "I didn't know I had to go so bad." I put my arm around Barton's
waist. "You feel better now?"

"Yeah. A lot."

"Well, at least you didn't - you know."

"Yeah, I know." I could almost feel him turning red. "I don't think I
would'a made it to the house," he said.

We crawled back into the tent and forgot the games and laid down next to
each other. We took turns kissing each other and decided to take off our
shirts. I laid on my back and Barton put his head on my shoulder and
cuddled up to me on his side and slowly ran his hand over my bare
chest. "You like this?" he asked.

"Yeah."

"Me too."

"John?"

"Yeah?"

"Can I be your, you know, your boyfriend now?"

"Uh, yeah. Sure I guess so. I mean, if I can be yours, too."

Barton sighed and mumbled something I couldn't quite hear. I listened to
the summer bugs sing outside the tent for a minute and then reached a hand
over and down between Barton's legs. His wieght shifted a little as I
moved and I noticed that his eyes were closed.

Crap! "Barton?" I whispered. Awwww double bear Crapcake. He was asleep.

I pulled a blanket over us and tried to forget about the aching in my
briefs. I would have to wait until morning to share it with my new
boyfriend and made up my mind that I would no matter what.
