Boys At Camp
Before The Summer Begins

	Matthew was the counselor in a cabin at an all boy's camp. His kids
were Jonathan, Randy and Aaron who were all nine, Kaleb, who was eight, and
Colin, who was thirteen. Colin and Matthew knew each other from their
Bronze Medallion class that they started on April first. Jonathan and Randy
knew each other since they were born and was their first year together at a
camp. Aaron and Kaleb were brothers and this was their second year at
camp. Matthew had been coming since he was six and is now fifteen, had
invited Colin to come up to camp. Matthew had blond hair and hazel eyes
whereas Colin and Randy had brown hair and brown eyes. Kaleb had very light

Once the camp director said it was okay, Matthew and Colin started heading

behind them.

	The two boyfriends ran off back to their cabin to change into their

away from the shore.
	Once the got in the middle of the lake between an island and the
camp, Matthew starting talking. "If you can see that little point in the
distance, that's called Silver Beaches. We go their many times during the
summer. It's a place that the camp sleeps over at sometimes and it gets
very fun during the nights."
	"Cool. I love sleep overs but hardly anybody likes them anymore. I
remember that I used to always sleep over at my friends house but then you
have to grow up!" Colin said, still staring at the point Matthew pointed
at.
	"I know what you mean. I once had this friend named Derek but now
were not friends anymore and I don't know why. I always thought of him as a
brother to me. We met in football when I lived in Brantford and he lived in
Guelph, we always phoned each other or at least I did most of the phoning
but anyway we were friends for seven years. When I went up to his house on
my thirteenth birthday, it was the best time of my life up until then. Hey,
look at that, I was the same age you are now! Wow, time does fly. Anyway, I

	It took about five minutes for them to get on to the island and
make sure the surfboards won't drift away. Colin made the first move of
taking off his bathing suit and Matthew followed after. "What would the
other people at this camp be doing right know?" Colin asked.
	"Probably walking around, getting a lot more sleep, or even
planning what their cabins will do for the next ten weeks."
	"What are some of the things that we'll be doing this week?"
	"With nine year old's, almost anything! Sailing, canoeing,
kayaking, wind surfing, swimming, diving, woodworking, archery, fishing,
plus about a thousand more things. Bed time is at ten, wake-up at seven,
breakfast at eight, lunch at one, dinner at six. The activities begin at
nine-thirty and again at two-thirty. Free time after dinner and campers
have to be in their cabins at nine. At that time you can either go to bed
or talk about whatever you want. Generally, it'll just be games."
	"Oh, what kind of games?"
	"Games like Truth, dare, double-dare, promise to repeat, other
stuff like that."

one to. So why do you only have Jonathan, Kaleb, Aaron and Randy as your
camper's and not any others?"
	"The real reason is because they stay up for the ten week
period. Drew places the youngest counselor with the longest staying
campers. It's weird to me but oh well!"  When Matthew and Colin got back,
they packed up the surfboards and went to their cabins and changed. Matthew
just put on his sweat suit so no mosquitos would bite him. Colin did the
same and after a little conversion with Jason, They went back into their
cabin, attached their sleeping bags together and stripped down naked and
went to sleep.
	"I'm glad to be up here at camp with you Matthew!" Colin said just
before he went to sleep.
	"I'm glad to be with you to Colin!" Matthew said while yawning his
last yawn and the drifted off into sleep.
