you mean slept in; it's 5 am in the morning, And we don't go to class

Have to go to school." Travis yelled.

I don't know what was wrong with Travis but I had to get him settled down
as he was waking Up all the other boys and a few of them threw their
pillows towards us.  I pushed my comlink That activated the medial
department saying that there was some kind of trouble in our berthing Area.


"O.K. Aaron what seems to be the problem. "The doctor asked me.  "It's
Travis, he's acting funny, He woke me up saying I was late for school and
it's only 10 past 5 in the morning and he kept Saying to get up to go to
school." I explained.  "It's true, he is late And we will get detention if
we don't get a move on." Travis responded.

Travis was getting edgy seeing that I was not getting ready for school
And soon showed some stress seeing that I was not moving off my bed.
"Travis, are you feeling ok, you look a little unwell." The doctor
Said trying to check my love's pulse rate. "I'm fine, yes I'm fine doc
But Aaron won't be if he does not get to school." Travis demanded.

In seconds the doctor produced a sonic syringe that knocked out Travis
In seconds and waved to the two nurses to bring the stretcher in
And put Travis onto it. "What's wrong with him doc, he's not right in the
Head." I gasped.  "I don't know just yet Aaron, it might be space
Sickness or he has a virus but we will get him hooked up to the monitors
And check him out."  The doctor replied.

On another ship a few hundred miles away another patient was admitted to
 The sick bay after he attacked two passengers almost killing them saying
That they too were late for school even though they were adults and did
Not attend school he tried to get them to the non-existent school
On board that space ship by hitting them with a steel bar ordering them
To get out of bed and attend to their lessons.

All the space ships were advised that something or someone is affecting
People with a disorder that was not yet named or discovered and said To
watch for or observe anyone acting strange about school activities.  In
three other ships that had some female students there also started to be
affected by this strange illness.

In all over 150 passengers on 4 spaceships were affected by this weird
Virus that affected their minds.  Travis was now in some kind of coma, his
parents arrived wearing space suits so that they would not contaminate
others on board our ship.  The doctor's didn't know what Was wrong with
their son and had to sedate him as he was getting Violent towards the
nurses.


"Why is Travis acting like this, are we all going to catch what Travis
Has and will he get better." I moaned. Tears were falling from my face

More and more passengers soon came down with the same symptoms and it

Out what was causing people to come down with this aggression symptoms
Was sorted out. All areas of the ship was scanned and in 24 hours the cause
of the sickness was found to be in the air filtration system.

It was an airborne virus that started in the slaughter rooms and as we
Had sent over some 4 tons of meat to other ships so the virus soon spread
To those ships.  It took some time to sort out the medicine to fix
All the sick folk as normal antibiotics were not working on this strain
Of airborne virus.  It seems that being in outer space had affected
The virus and it was a new strain that was hard to kill off but in a week's
time all the patients started to get better and were no longer
Affected by the virus.

Travis had just woken up as a nurse was removing some tubes from his body.
"How are you feeling my love?" I asked Travis. "Like I've been through
The ringer and had everything squeezed out of me." Travis moaned.
`The doctor said that was one of the symptoms the virus gave you, it
Was removing water from your body at a slow/medium rate and you had over 50
I.V drips replacing what you lost during that week." I remarked.

"I am mom, I don't really enjoy being stuck in here as we have to wear

The Russians and French wanted their own countries and so did the British
And Japanese groups but the rest just wanted a place to live together
As one big group.   That would be decided as we got closer to the new
Earth.  For now we just continued to be one big family.

 All the crew had to make sure that the animals that were
Killed were done so in a confined area that was quarantined from the
Rest of the ship. Airlocks were put in so everyone who entered the
Slaughter house was processed before working there.

"Ok boys, those who are recovering from the virus must have a partner
To be with them at all times for the next 24 hours, your job is to feed

Old Stanley our team leader for that day announced.

We didn't have to work as we were too young but all 14 year olds and

Was not on the agenda when they built the spaceships as it was going to
Take some time for the milking cows to adjust to being in outer space
And having only 30 cows at the start of the trip we could only wait until
More cows had given birth during our travels to our new earth.


The cows and sheep were transported from one ship to another with no
Hassles and it looked like the cows and sheep enjoyed being beamed from

I was first to be checked over and was told that nothing was broken
But had to keep the ice pack on my arm if it started to hurt me
Again.  The doctor used a scanner over my arm and said it was only
Bruised and the swelling would go down in a few hours.

Next Travis was checked out and he was given a shot for his space food
Poisoning as his blood had a few gremlins in it and had a booster
Shot with some antibiotics and other stuff to make his blood normal
Again. I laughed when Travis got a shot in his butt but soon stopped
Laughing when the doc said I needed a booster shot for my space travels.

That was to stop us getting any space sickness and needed a shot every
Two months. `Now who's laughing?" Travis grinned as the doc gave me
My shot in the butt. "Ouch, that hurt." I muttered. "Sorry Aaron, but
I had to make sure it went deep inside you as you don't want to be sick
All the time as the captain is now moving the ship a little faster and you
know what happed a few months ago." The doc explained.


"I sure do, wow did that speed take the shit out of us." I groaned.  "Yes
it did and I was so busy fixing all the sick boys and now we have This
special shot that will help you with the space sickness and you Won't now
feel the effects of the space travel as we are now getting Closer to our
new home so only a few more shots and then it will be all over." The doc
exclaimed.

The doctor left and we settled on the bed as the shots we were given
Would make us a little queasy for an hour so we decided to try and
Sleep it off until the shots in our butts had settled down.
No school for us this week as it was what we called a holiday break
