Subject: Dean and Ewen Chapter 1

All the usual stuff – y'know, don't read it if you're under 18 (or the
legal age in your country) as it will probably end up including sexual
scenes between two male minors [as in under 18's] (but maybe not for quite
a few chapters, read on in this paragraph to find out why), or if it's
illegal in your country, or if you'll get offended by it. In this story, I
aim to make it seem realistic. This story is about a relationship between
two 11 year olds, so they won't just say "I'm gay" and then start having
sex like they know all about it – they will learn as they go along, and
develop their relationship (but not TOO slowly!). Also, please do NOT
distribute this story without emailing me first and getting
permission. Don't take this as a sign that I won't say yes, if you email me
and ask nicely, I'll probably say yes.

Hey, this is my first story, so I don't know what people will think of
it... It's based in England, but I do include American 'translations' in
brackets (e.g. Form Room = Homeroom, Year 7 is Sixth Grade), and I also
lengthened out acronyms (e.g. PSHE). Please, email me your views on the
story as I probably won't write any more unless I get positive feedback. I
would be more than happy to receive suggestions and views from people on
each chapter. Flames will be cheerfully read, replied to in a rude way, and
deleted. Email address is at the bottom of the page.

CHAPTER 1 – WRITTEN 9/4/07

Dean woke up to the sound of his alarm clock, silenced it, and got out of
bed. He looked into the mirror, and saw his 11 year old self staring
back. He had dark hair and blue eyes. He sighed at the prospect of another
long school day, and got ready for school. When he finished his breakfast,
he said goodbye to his Mum, and went out of the door to leave for
school. As he walked to school, he thought of how his life was. He was an
only child, and was quite popular with the girls. There was one thing that
confused him though: recently, he had started having dreams about his best
friend, Ewen, naked. He had never gone out with a girl, though he had been
asked out plenty of times – they just didn't interest him.

Ewen woke up with a jolt. He looked over at his clock and groaned. He was
had overslept... Again. He quickly got dressed and ran out of the door
without getting breakfast. His parents had already left for work. He ran
most of the way to school and nearly ran into Dean round a corner. Dean had
short blonde hair which he spiked up a bit with some gel. He also had blue
eyes, and had been having similar thoughts about Dean.

"Hey, what's the hurry?" asked Dean. "Oh sorry dude, I overslept
again... What's the time?" replied Ewen "Time you got a watch! Don't worry,
we have five minutes to get to school"

They entered the school gates just as the bell rang, and hurried to their
form room (I believe that's 'home room' in America). They were both in Year
7 (that's 'Sixth Grade' for any American readers) and in the same
class. Being a secondary school, their school had year groups from years 7
to 13. They hadn't met before starting in this school, but had been
inseparable since the first day just a few months back. Anybody watching
them would have though that they had known each other for years rather than
months.

They walked into their form room just before the teacher did, and sat down
at their desks (next to each other, of course).

Mr. Morgan, their teacher taught basketball at their school and was one of
the most laid back teachers. He didn't really care about the behaviour of
his students and let them do more or less anything during the 20 minute
registration period before lessons. After taking the register, he
announced:

"Okay, today I'm doing a random homework book check by order of Miss
Smith."

In their school, every student was issued a homework book to keep record of
what homework they had been given, and was supposed to be signed every
week. Random checks were made every now and then to try to catch out
students who hadn't had their books signed. Miss Smith was the head of
lower school (that's years 7 and 8 (or sixth and seventh grades)), and was
the most hated teacher in the school.

"Crap! I forgot to get it signed this week!" Exclaimed Ewen. "Don't worry,
he never does anything 'bout it, he just tells us to get it signed for
tomorrow." said Dean. "Did I just hear that you guys didn't get your books
signed?" Asked Mr. Morgan "Yes sir..." Both boys responded. "Well, I'm
sorry, but Miss Smith specifically asked me to put any boys who didn't get
their books signed in detention for half an hour after school... Aparantly
this is getting a bit out of hand" "Aww man!" exclaimed Dean. "Sorry boys,
can't lie to her, or she'll murder me, you kids aren't the only ones scared
of her!" said Mr. Morgan.

The two boys nodded sullenly, and walked out of the classroom as the bell
went. They headed for the Citizenship rooms, for their first class of the
day: PSHE (as said by wikipedia, "Personal, Social and Health Education is
an element of the state school curriculum in England.")

Well folks, that's all for the first chapter. It was 894 words, and I aim
to make the chapters about that length. I hope to release chapters quite
often, but I have a busy life and so I might not. I will try to update at
least once a week. I will get this chapter submitted immediately, and start
on chapter 2. Please note that I will not go past chapter 3 if I don't get
any positive comments, so PLEASE DO EMAIL ME! I want to know what you
people think!
