Gay Meets World
Chapter 1
Starting Of A New School year

	Hello my name is Alex Zander. I guess I should start by introducing
myself. I am 14 years old, Caucasian, 5' 5'', 120lbs, Blond hair, and hazel
eyes. I live in a small and quiet town called Sunville. Most of all I'm gay
I have been since I can remember.
	My mom is a wonderful woman she is liked by the communities because
of her job. She a vet so I see some of the pets because she'll bring some
animal's home and everyone trusts her so no one cares. I wanted a cat but
my mom said I can't because we couldn't afford it but I knew it was
something different because of her job as a vet. I never knew my father
because he died in a car accident trying to get to the hospital when my mom
was in labor, that what my mom tells me, but when I ask something about my
dad my mom just cries and just say 'I don't want to talk about it' so I
just leave it at that.
	I woke up to my alarm clock buzzing beside me I groaned as I got up
because I knew what day it was. It was the first day of school. I went in
to the shower and cleaned myself for the day. After I showered I went down
stairs to see mom was getting ready for work.
	"Bye son I got to get going I'm sorry I can't drive you on your
first day of school." she said.
	"Its OK mom I know you're busy." I said
	"Thanks" she said quickly hugging me the leaving out the door.
	I didn't mind mom being gone all the time it's just gets quiet in
the house.
	As I made my breakfast there was a knock on the door. I went to the
door and opened it to see my 14 year old best friend. He was black, Red
hair, Brown eyes, 5'3", 118lbs, and his name is Zack Anders.
	I and Zack went back to kindergarten, I was shy and the
kindergarten teacher paired me with Zack we've been inseparable ever
since. The problem was I have a huge crush on him.
	"Hey man" Zack said
	"Hey Zack" I said letting him in.
	After I ate and finished got ready we went to school.  When we
arrived we waited in line to get our class list. It was a long line so we
were going to be late but luckily for us the first week is tardy free.
	"We've got English, math, P.E, and science together I have a
feeling it's going to be interesting this year." Zack said comparing our
class lists.  Our classes were separated in a semesters so we got 4 classes
per semester and 2 classes a day so we had alternating classes.
	We had English, science, health class (separate), and a choice
subject
	"Yea I know what you mean I feel like I'm new to this school" I
said back.
	"We better get to class before we miss it all together" he said
walking a head of me.
	As lunch came I and Zack were in separate classes so I went to the
lunch room to grab something to eat.
	"Hey Alex how's it going" someone said behind me.  I turn to see
Gloria with her lunch. Gloria is my best friend girlfriend she has blue
eyes, black hair, and she the most popular girl in the school. I was so
jealous of her.
	"Oh hey Gloria" I said fake smiling.
	"Have you seen Zack," she asked.
	"This morning but not recently," I replied.
	"OK tell him I'm looking for him, "she said leaving.
	"Yea I will" I sarcastically said quietly
	10 minutes later Zack have arrived.
	"Hey man" he said platting my back as he sat down.
	"Hey Zack how's was socials" I said
	"Boring as ever, hey you going to swimming tryouts?" he asked me.
	"To watch you of course to try out maybe not." I replied.
	"Oh, come on it be fun on the same team, it'll be fun." Zack edged
me.
	"Zack you now I'm not a good swimmer I'm more of a sports watcher
guy." I said.
	"Oh yea I guess you're right. You'd rather be in a watching sports
then be with your best friend in the water" he said
	"It's not that I don't want to Zack I just prefer cheering people
on then competing." I said back.
	"You say that every year," Zack laughed.
	"Well you keep asking each year." I laughed with him
	"Hey Zack there you are" Gloria said in the distance.
	"Oh hey Gloria," Zack said "didn't know u were looking for me"
	"Oh Alex didn't tell yeah I asked him where you were" she said.
	Zack looked at me "must a slipped my mind," I said.
	"Right so what u need Gloria" Zack said giving her a light kiss.
	"Just if you want to go to the movies tomorrow night," she asked.
Zack looked back at me then back at Gloria "sure it's your turn to pay" he
smiled.
	"See you tomorrow" she said looking at me then leaving.
	"Well got to go get to class, be there to watch me after school?"
Zack said.
	"You know it" I said heading to heath class.
	After health class was over school was out and I was heading to the
public pool next to the school. Since half of the public pool was being
used for the swimming tryouts I was able to go swimming and watch Zack
tryout. So I ran home grabbed my bathing suit then ran back to the pool and
went into the water by the tryout section.
	After an hour the students started gather Zack waved when he saw me
in the water.
	"OK OK quiet down people. Let's get this thing started." an old
male said. "I'm Mr. Tare; I'm the new swimming coach."
	"Excuse me what happened to Mr. Grons" one of the boys in group
said.
	"He passed away by a heart attack," Mr. Tare.
	"Sucks, he was a nice couch, and a hell of a swimmer," a girl said.
	"A terrible loss, but back to the time at hand please put your name
on a sheet of paper and put into the hat. This will decide who goes next in
the tryout." Mr. Tare said pointing to the hat on some stands.  Everyone
gathered around the hat and entered their names and placed it into the hat.
	"OK everyone placed their names in the hat ... good OK this how's
it goes ill pick a name from the hat and the person will swim to the end of
the pool and back the top 10 fastest time, determination, speed, endurance
and most of all having fun. The people I pick are final so please do not
bribe complain or beg if you don't make it, if you are done you can leave
if you want, and last of all the results will be posted tomorrow on the
sports bulletin board." Mr. Tare said. "Danielle Cornea you're up first."
	As people raced up and down the pool I was swimming around tell I
heard Zack's name.
	"Zack Anders, you're up. "The couch said.
	I swam towards the area and got there in time because Zack just got
in the water looking around. When he got in, he didn't move but was looking
around the pool.
	"Zack anytime please," the coach said.
	"GO ZACK" I yelled.
	Zack looked my way and waved then got ready then he swam as hard as
he could up and down the pool.
	"OK next Billy frank" Mr. Tare said.
	Zack was done so he walked towards me and jumped in the public
side. "How did I do" he asked
	"Like always a black torpedo" I said sitting up on the side of the
pool.
	"I bet I was but whose saying." Zack said. "Now let have some fun
while we are here."
	Zack grabbed my arm and dragged me into the water and started to
splash me.
	"Hey Zack stop that" I laughed trying to spray him back.  An hour
has passed and the pool closed so we had to get out and leave. We walked
home talking about the day we had. When we reached our street we parted
ways because he lived right across from where I lived.
	When I went inside my mom was just finishing cooking dinner. "Mom
I'm home." I said as I closed the door.
	"Welcome home. How was your day?" my mom asked
	I was a little surprised that my mom was home this early.
	"As always boring went to Zack's swimming try out today he was like
the fast one there and they got a new couch." I said.
	"What happened to the old one um coach drones?" she asked as she
was placing plates on the table.
	"Mom its Grons and he died of a heart attack that the new coach
said." I said as my mom placed the meal on the table.
	"So who's the new coach?" she asked.
	"Some guy named Mr. Tare he sounds like a nice dude." I said taking
a bite "how about your day?"
	"Well a cat came in with a simple flu so I gave her a vaccine and
closed up early." she said smiling.
	After our little chat we finished eating. And I went to my room and
logged on to my msn account to see Zack on.
	'Hey man' I typed.
	'Hey how was dinner' he answered
	'Good meatloaf.' I typed
	'Yummy we had spaghetti' he replied.
	'Yummy well I'm tired and better get some sleep we got a busy day
tomorrow.' I typed
	'Yea bye hope I make the team' he replied
	'Now you will later' I replied after logging off and went to bed.
