The Homeroom Bunch

Chapter 8

Ray was amazed at the force in which Shawn came. He said softly, "Thar she
blows."

Colin looked up and saw Ray and Lance standing there with a big smile on
their faces. He smiled back to them and said, "Aye me mates, and once he
recharges he'll be ready for another blow."

They started giggling when they heard Colin's remark. Ray helped Shawn up
off the bed and Lance helped Colin so their juices wouldn't get on the
sheets. The two lovebirds cleaned themselves up and returned to the bedroom.
The four boys hugged and kissed before getting back into bed. They covered
themselves up then snuggled close to their respective boyfriend and drifted
off to dreamland.

Saturday morning when the Ferguson's awoke, the house was still very quiet.
They went to Colin's room to check in on the boys and they were moved by
what they both saw. There cuddled close were Lance and Ray on one side of
the bed and Colin and Shawn together on the other, all sleeping like babies.

The parents decided they would let them sleep a little longer and go and
start a light breakfast for the four soon to be hungry teens. Mr. Ferguson
started frying some bacon while his wife started the coffee. Within a few
minutes flavorful smells were resonating throughout the entire house.

Down the hall Ray began to stir as his brain began to tell him food was
being cooked. He began to wake up more when something else got his
attention, his almost over full bladder. This was a real potty emergency so
he just got out of the bed the best way he could and that was to roll over
Lance.

"Oomph!" Lance said. "Did anyone see the bull that just bowled me over?"
Just then Ray came out of the bathroom in all his naked glory but Lance was
still slightly miffed at the was he got woke up. Lance looked at Ray and
said, "And a good morning to you too. No kiss, no hug or anything? I'm
hurt."

Lance had a little frown on his face and Ray walked over to him and gave him
a kiss on the lips and his tool a quick rub. He said, "Morning babe, how's
this?"

Ray knew Lance better than just about anyone. The kiss was one thing but as
soon as his cool hand came into contact with Lance's warm hard tool, he
jumped off the bed and flew into the bathroom and quickly emptied his
bladder. Ray stood there laughing.

When Lance came out of the bathroom Ray was still giggling. He looked at him
and said, "Kiss my ass baby."

With all the commotion going on around them, Colin and Shawn woke up. They
gave each other a quick kiss and went to do their business when they heard
Ray say, "Sorry love no time for romance, I'm hungry for solid food, we can
have fun later."

The boys quickly dressed and came down to a nice breakfast. They helped the
parents clean up then spent the day outside playing with the others in the
gang. They had even gotten Mark's father to agree to let him join the
others.

By lunchtime, the temperature was climbing and Billy asked the gang if they
wanted to all go to his house for a refreshing dip in his parent's swimming
pool. When everyone had received their parent's permission, they spent the
afternoon frolicking and splashing the rest of the day away.

When 5 o'clock came, seven tired teens were on chase lounges relaxing and
talking. The bunch sat and completely lost track of the time when Mrs.
Boyles came outside and said, "I hate to break this little party up but it's
getting late. I don't need any of you in trouble with your parents."

Shawn sat up and said, "Man we sure had fun today. How about you Mark, did
you?"

Mark turned onto his side and said, "This was the absolute best day of my
life. You are all so cool. Thanks for wanting a bigger kid in your group."

Maggie spoke next saying, "Mark, your parents fed you lies for so many years
that that was all you believed. You now know the truth about things and more
to the point, you're a really cool kid. We're glad to have you for a
friend."

The seven teens got together and did their private cheer they always do when
parting, and began to head home. Maggie was having dinner with Billy so the
remaining 5 boys started towards Mark's house. They were all laughing and
carrying on when Mr. Kelly approached them in his truck.

Suddenly Mark got scared. He looked at his father and said, "I know what
time it is Dad. I'm not late. I still have 10 minutes and I'm almost home."

For once, Mark wasn't in trouble. Mr. Kelly said, "I know Mark. Your mom
told me to take you for a hair cut. That's all son you're not in trouble. Hi
boys, it's nice of you to include Mark even though he is a year older than
all of you."

Colin looked up at Mr. Kelly sitting in the truck and said, "You have a cool
son sir. He's a good friend. Thanks for letting him join us."

Mr. Kelly then told Mark and the others something Mark had never heard his
father say. "Mark, boys," he said. "I have to tell you something and it's
not real easy especially it's about Mark's mother. She is real funny about
wanting to keep Mark at home. She never lets him out at all and when you
boys came to the house yesterday, I decided that it was high time someone
let him have some fun."

Mr. Kelly then directed his next statement towards his son. He said, "Mark,
I'm glad you were not home tonight night. You mother and I had some words
and I'm taking a lot of heat for my decision but that is something I will
deal with. I want you to have fun and to be a kid. You don't have much
childhood left so I want you to enjoy the time you have left." He then did
something that took Mark completely by surprise. He hugged his son.

Everyone there got a new appreciation for Marks Dad including Mark. As the
Kelly's drove off up the street, the four boys were each giving each other
high fives because of what they all just heard and witnessed.

Saturday evening at the Ferguson's was quiet for the adults. The boys all
said they wanted to spend some time on the computer checking out the members
of GYG and reading more of Open Plains. The other three boys joined the
group and all 4 got into quite a rousing chat with several teens about how
it is to be gay in different countries.

Before they knew it, Mr. Ferguson was knocking on the door telling them it
was almost 11:30 and they needed to start getting ready for bed. Colin shut
down the computer as the others started doing their nightly ministrations.
Lance went to give Ray a hug and said, "Man love, you're rank! Didn't you
take a shower today?"

Colin heard that and said, "You're in luck guys, there's room for the 4 of
us and we're not cramped either. Just one rule, boyfriends have to wash each
other."

Ray said, "I don't know who made up that rule, but I like it. Come on love
and move your bum shower time. Time to get you clean before bedtime."

The boys took their showers and this time no one gave it a second thought
that they were all naked as they crawled into bed. The Ferguson's came in
and said good night to the boys and went to their room to go to sleep. The
boys chatted for a little while then all four of them fell asleep.

On Sunday, Colin's parents asked all the boys if they wished to join them in
attending worship services. They looked at each other and decided it would
be nice so they all went together. After the services, the Ferguson's
treated the boys to a late breakfast at one of the local restaurants. They
played together for the rest of the afternoon then their weekend was winding
to a close.

Lance and Ray were the first boys to have to leave. Ray said, "Man this has
been a great weekend. Can you believe Mark's Dad? He's all right for letting
Mark finally have a bit of fun in his life. Guys, I hope we can all have
that camp out over spring break."

Lance spoke next saying, "Yeah, Mark's dad is cool. I just hope Mark's mom
doesn't give him grief when his Dad is at work. I would love to see the look
on his brother's face when Mark sees him. Shawn, have you talked with your
parents about his yet? Think they will go for this?

Shawn looked at everyone and said, "I don't know guys. I haven't talked with
them yet but I would like to think they would want to help. I wonder if Mark
and his Dad are doing better, Mark might talk with him also. I don't know.
It's sad that parents would lie to their son over something like this. God,
Mark can't get AIDS from visiting his brother. This was something we learned
in health class last year when we took that special class out parents had to
sign permission slips so we could attend."

Lance spoke again and said, "Yeah Shawn, that's right. But since we needed
parents permission, I bet Mark couldn't attend so he never learned the truth
until last week."

Ray chimed in saying, "It's so bloody stupid. This is stuff we need to learn
and Mark's parents were acting like they were ashamed of his brother."

Shawn looked around to all of them and said, "Guys, it's not right to put
Mark's parents down like this. I agree it doesn't sound fair or right, for
that matter but they are still Mark's parents. I'll sit and talk with my
folks tonight and see that they say. I'll fill everyone in tomorrow in class
or just as soon as they say yes or no."

The four boys started having to go their separate ways and when Shawn got
home he went into the living room to have that talk with his parents.

When Colin returned home he went and gave both his parents a big hug and
kiss. He said to them, "Thank you both so much for this weekend. We all had
a great time. Ah Dad, can we talk for a few minutes please?"

Mrs. Ferguson said, "Son I'm glad you and your friends enjoyed themselves.
We enjoyed having them and you all behaved wonderfully. Maybe you all would
like to do that again some time? I will let you two men talk about whatever
it is you need to. I need to check on dinner."

Mrs. Ferguson went into the kitchen and Colin sat beside his Dad. Mr.
Ferguson closed his newspaper. While setting it on the coffee table he
looked at his son and said, "Now what's on your mind son? You have a serious
look on your face. Is this about what I think it is?"

Colin's face turned a little red when heard what his Dad asked him. He
hadn't expected him to pick up quite so quickly what he wanted to talk with
him about. He gathered his thoughts for a moment and said, "Well Dad, it is
sort of. Things happened on Friday with Shawn and I. He kissed me and I
kissed him and well, I touched him and he me."

Mr. Ferguson looked at his son and asked, "Son did you do anything more than
kiss and touch?"

He looked up at his father and said, "No sir, we didn't. I mean I did kiss
his chest but that's all."

Mr. Ferguson chuckled a little. He said, "Son, that's normal. I'm not
worried about you two son, I think you will know when to come to me when you
will need real advice. Go get cleaned up for dinner son."

Back at Shawn's he and his parents were finishing dinner and Shawn asked,
"Mom, Dad can I talk with you two about something? I have something I think
is important."

When the dishes were put into the dishwasher, the Maxwell's went into the
living room and Shawn had the floor. He said, "Mom, Dad I have a favor to
ask and I know on the surface it's not going to sound right. But when you
hear everything I have to say, I hope you will agree with me."

Before he continued, Shawn went into the kitchen to get himself a cold drink
so he wouldn't need to stop his speech once he gets on a roll. He sat across
from his parents so he could see them both while he spoke. He started by
giving them some background on Mark. He said, "First, I made another new
friend Friday. The gang and I learned some things that are so unfair it
really makes me mad. Our new friend's name is Mark Kelly and he's in our
homeroom. We don't have him in any of our other classes but now we wish we
did."

Shawn took a quick break for a mouthful of his soda. He continued by telling
them about his brother. He said, "You see, Mark has an older brother Roger.
Roger is gay but he's also quite ill. Mark told us that his brother used to
use drugs and he got AIDS. Now he's in a hospital. What really got me was
what Mark's parents told him about his brother. They told him he got AIDS as
punishment for being gay. For so long he believed that until Mr. Williams
sat him down and got him to believe the truth that the drugs and not him
being gay was the most likely cause if him getting sick."

Shawn needed to take some more of his drink and compose himself because he
was close to getting emotional and this was one thing he didn't want to do
right now. He sat there a few minutes wondering if he was saying more than
he needed to or what, but he had to have his parents behind him on this.
After taking a deep breath he continued saying, "The thing about his brother
being in the hospital is his parent won't let them see each other. For the
longest time Mark believed if he even saw his brother or hugged him, he
would get it too. I was wondering if you would be willing to do us a big
favor. Well, it's more for Mark than us but we thought it would be cool if
his brother knew he had a lot of people pulling for him."

Mr. Maxwell looked at Shawn and said, "First, how do you know Mark's brother
is strong enough for visitors and the next question is how do you know he's
even allowed visitors. His parents may have said no visitors at all."

Shawn looked at his father and said, "Mark has been emailing his brother for
the past few weeks in the schools computer lab so he knows how he is doing.
Roger is 18 and now an adult so he can be allowed his own visitors. Mom, Dad
would you help us. Mark said we could use his Dad's big tent and set it up
in the back yard and have a sleep out with Colin, Ray, Lance, Mark and I. We
were thinking we could sleep out two or three nights that way Marks parents
wouldn't worry about him. They knew he would be with us and he would be
fine. The other kids are going to talk with their parents so if you do say
it alright, they will have permission."

Mrs. Maxwell looked at her son and said, "I must say that you have done your
homework. I feel for Mark not being able to see or talk with him all this
time. You all may sleep out as many nights as you like and if the other
parents say their boys may stay providing you behave yourselves. Your father
and I will discuss this some more between us and we will give you an answer
soon."

Shawn stood up and said, "Aw Mom, we behave. Thanks for not coming right out
and saying no. You are so cool. I love you." He gave his mom and dad each a
hug before making sure his homework was complete before calling Colin and
giving him the news.

The next morning Shawn and the gang started joining up on their way to
school. As soon as everyone was together he said, "Colin already knows this
but last night I talked with my parents about us all going to see Roger in
the hospital. Mark my Mom and Dad want you to know how sorry they are, and
we all are about you two not being able to see each other. They are going to
talk amongst themselves and will let us know something in a few days. Also,
the camp out is on. We can sleep out as many nights as your parents will let
you, cause she gave us the week." Everyone started cheering and whooping it
up on the way to school, high fives and hugs went around to everyone.

School flew by and soon it was Thursday afternoon. The teachers didn't give
homework assignments because Friday was the last day for ten days. The gang
all went home and quickly changed because they agreed to meet at Mark's
house to play some basketball. Maggie and Billy had plans of their own at
Billy's house.

Shawn, Collin, Ray and lance met up and began the two-block walk to Mark's
house. As they got about two houses from his house two high school kids
started coming towards them. They kept walking but by the time they were in
front of Marks house, they had caught up to them.

The shorter of the two started running his mouth first saying, "Well what
have we here, four little fairies. Why don't you flap your wings and go home
fairies. Oh, that's right your not fairies your fags."

Colin tried to stay brave but the longer this went on he was beginning to
lose it. Ray pulled Colin over to him so he could have some protection while
Lance and Shawn got in front of the high school kids.

Shawn remembered what worked with Mark so he thought he would try it again.
Shawn said, "Look, don't you two have a toilet to go flush yourselves down?
Just keep moving and leave us the hell alone."

Shawn was about to grab big boy's jewels when he heard, "Cole, Kyle what's
up dudes?"

They all look and there was Mark walking down the driveway towards the two
big dudes. They're watching as if it's a family reunion or something
wondering if Mark is all of a sudden going to aid in there pounding.

Then the big dude says, "Hey Mark want to have some fun with these little
fags? I know you haven't pounded anyone in a long time."

While big boy was talking to Mark, Shawn felt his friend grab his shirt from
behind. He just knew this wasn't going to be pretty. He then presents Shawn
to Mark as the first sacrifice. Mark puts one hand on his shoulder while the
kid lets go of his shirt.

As soon as he sees that Shawn was loose Mark says, "Yeah guys I'd love to
pound something. I haven't been in a fight in a long time and I would love
to pound your two butts for picking on my friends here."

The high school kids eyes get real big and the bigger one says, "They are
your friends Mark? You know these..."

Marks stops him in mid sentence saying, "Look you pricks. I can take you and
your friend with out breaking a sweat. If you think your friends would like
to jump me some time, bring it on. Remember I have friends too and they are
a lot bigger than you are." Mark pointed to Colin and said, "This kid has
more guts in his little finger than the two of you do in your whole body.
Now get the hell out of here and leave all of us alone."

The two big kids just walked away lucky they weren't on the receiving end of
one of Mark's fists. When they were out of sight they all went and hugged
Mark for what he did.

Shawn looked up at him and said, "Man dude, I thought I was going to be road
kill. I could feel you hitting me."

Mark wrapped his arm around Shawn and Colin and said, "Guys, I said you were
my friends and I never let my friends down when they need me. None of those
punks would have hurt you. They're just jealous that they don't have the
guts to hold hands."

They all just stopped dead in their tracks when Mark said that. Ray looked
way up at Mark and said, "What did you just say mate? You mean they're gay
like the whole bloody lot of us are? So what's with the tough guy routine?"

They started walking towards the back of Mark's house while he finished the
story. He said, "Well guys the word going around the high school is that
Cole and Kyle are gay. They were almost seen a few times in their gym class
staring a little to long at each other. So they decided to try to bolster
their own reputations by picking a fight with you guys. They told me they
saw you guys holding hands last week when you were coming to my house. You
know I don't care but please be careful."

Shawn spoke for the group saying, "Mark you're right. We do need to be more
careful. This problem seems to have been resolved, but next time Mark may
not be here or we may not be as lucky."

The next day dragged by because they were all looking forward to their
vacation and camp out. When the bell finally rang, their books were in their
lockers and they were out the doors to enjoy their spring break and the camp
out that they had planed.
