In Darkness Love Will Save Us - part 1


This is a work of fiction some events are of my own history.  Any
characters with similarities to people are purely coincidental

This story features sexually explicit material of consenting underage
teenagers.

This story is for people of legal age to view such material if you are
under the age of consent in your country please leave now. What you choose
to do is up to you and in no way am I, or this site held accountable for
your actions after reading this story.

First of all I would like to state that this is the first story I've felt
was worth posting.  Meaning that if you email me please use constructive
criticism and not just spam about issues.  Secondly I'd like to say that my
punctuation is not fantastic and I am sorry for this, as it has never been
strength of mine.  This story is set in the present and as such will
contain a lot of modern parts of life. But in this world there are not
STD's so will not be always mentioning the usage of condoms. But the threat
is real and I fully indorse the usage of condoms. Finally before I begin
this story I will warn you I intend this to be a full and long story
meaning that sex will not be mentioned at first.  But once it is trust me
you will be very well satisfied with the wait.  If this doesn't sound like
your type of story please do not flame it because of personal views.

Chapter 1: Joe

Characters in this chapter Joe/Joseph - 17 years old, 6 foot 1 inch
tall. Broad figure with wide shoulders built like a rugby player.

It was a usual day for Joseph Bradley Collins, he woke up to an extremely
sunny day of summer in Dubai, and even though the sight out of his balcony
was beautiful he felt numb like everyday. His life was dull and boring he
though. See Joseph was home schooled because his parents wanted to make
sure he was safe and they couldn't at any local school in Dubai.  This left
his life very limited socially and when he did meet people they seemed to
follow him around like they were studying his life except his best friend
Chris.  Joseph didn't like his life he felt like an outside in his own
world.  Even though through the eyes of many people he was extremely
privileged; he was rich, handsome, and had an athletic body that he worked
on everyday because it helped him deal with his emotions.  Although he
still felt alone all the time like he wasn't really alive he was just a
fault in the world that he really wasn't meant to be where he was it was
just a mistake that time hadn't been able to correct.  His loving parents
had 3 other children that he didn't feel anything for even though they
loved him he just couldn't understand it.  He had a nagging feeling like
this wasn't his family that there had to be a mistake and this life was for
someone who felt like they deserved it.  He had everything but yet nothing
but something told him inside that this wouldn't be true for long that soon
his purpose would be shown and all he needed to do was wait.

Chapter 2: Josh

Across the wide gap of the ocean in Maryland, Baltimore Lays Joshua Robert
smith - 13 years old 5 foot 4 inches tall Broad figure with a very well
tone body for his age.

He was jolted awake struggling to breathe feeling like his body had shut
itself down briefly.  His sense were dulled his vision blurry, his heart
pounding like a jackhammer, and his body shaking. This began the string of
long nights that would cause him so much trouble.  As his sense began to
return he remembered what had just happened and began to plummet into a
hole of depression tears flowing even though he tried so hard to keep
control it wasn't happening he felt numb his body wouldn't listen to him he
couldn't shake the moment he found out his parents had been killed in an
accident. His life had ended he thought he couldn't go on anymore.  His
grand parents had just recently passed away and his brother had died from a
massive drug overdose after his father had found out he was gay and kick
him out.

This brief jump into the past made Joshua cry even harder he couldn't stand
it his family had disappeared in the blink of the eye.  He had planned to
commit suicide he couldn't stand a world where god had ruined everything he
knew.  But tonight was going to be different he told himself he didn't want
the pain anymore he wasn't fair he never did anything wrong yet he lost so
much.

He jumped up from his bed grabbed a pair of his old and faded shorts opened
his bedroom door and walked the few feet to his kitchen in his family's
small 2 bedroom home.  He went directly for the knife drawer but something
flashed before his eyes and faded just as quick as it came.  He looked
around but saw nothing that could produce something like that.  He again
reached for the knife drawer when once again a large flash dazed him a
second time.  He once again studies the small kitchen and couldn't find.
He reached for the draw, opened it, and found a old knife he began to have
doubts which surprised him he thought taking his life wouldn't be so hard
his brain was in a war with itself telling him this was wrong or so he
thought it was his brain he wouldn't believe what it really was that is
trying to stop him.

Fate; "Stop Joshua this isn't how your life is meant to go. Just wait
everything is about to change and you need to be alive for this."

Josh fought his brain "I waited and waited nothing ever changes my life has
always been shit and won't change stop lying to yourself and me."

Fate; "Stop this Joshua your being called, time is short but you must trust
me life is about to change.  You are not alone in the world there is
someone waiting for you. Someone who loves you more than you will ever
know,"

Josh; "Nobody loves me even my `parents' didn't love me or my brother.
Just leave me alone this is the only way to stop all the pain."

Fate; "Joshua I cannot let you do this. Your path was chosen long ago and
this how it isn't meant to go.  I am sorry Joshua but I cannot let you take
your life it isn't your decision."

Josh; "What the hell do you mean `It isn't my decision,' It is my life and
you cannot stop me; I am doing this no matter what,"


Fate; "Joshua you 13 years old you cannot decide weather it is your time or
not.  If I must I will stop you and it will only complicate your life even
more if you choose wrongly,"

Josh; "Go to hell I choose what I want there's nothing left for me anyway!"

Fate; "I am sorry I had to do this Joshua."

Josh held the knife tightly but slowly started to feel extremely weak the
knife dropped from his hand falling to the ground with a loud thud. The
flashes of light continued but this time their were two and they didn't
fade like the previous. Suddenly the kitchen lights were turned on. He spun
around to see to people a police officer and a tall lady with blonde hair
before he fainted...

Chapter 3: What Really Happened.

Across the Ocean in Dubai Joe was listening to his favorite song that he
felt summed up his life in few words as possible


Maybe I took a little too much.  Maybe life didn't want this part of me.

He had these words hanging around his head for months now and felt that
they were true. Maybe he asked for to much maybe this was all life had for
him.  Maybe life was trying to change me and make me more acceptable.  He
was deep in thought until his phone rang he checked who was ringing him at
9am on a weekend he always answered it if it was at an awkward hour because
more often than not it is important and requires immediate attention his
father always told him that.

Joseph: Hello?

A female voice responded Unknown caller: Hello is this Mr. Joseph Bradley
Collins?

Joseph: Uhh yes it is may I ask who is calling?

Unknown caller: oh of course sorry for being so rude.  My name is Rebecca
royal. I am calling on behalf of the Maryland Social services Agency.

Joseph: Umm excuse me?

Rebecca: I sorry I know this is probably very confusing I know that you
current reside with your parents in... UAE, Dubai.  Normally we wouldn't do
this but we have a pressing matter that was brought to use by the hospital
your mother birthed you at.

Joseph: I am sorry I don't understand "Social services" I am only just
about to turn 18 and I haven't been to where I was born. Ever.  I think you
must have the wrong person because I've never had a child.

Rebecca: No I am sorry let me explain.  Normally we wouldn't do this over
the phone we would bring you and your parents in for a face to face
explanation but with your location that just isn't possible. But we do
suggest you go find your mother and father if they are there because this
matter is extremely sensitive.

Joseph: No it's ok I am legally emancipated my parents don't need to be
present unless it is actually required.

Rebecca: Excuse me? I am sorry I now am the one that doesn't follow
(giggles) it say's in your international US citizen file that you live with
your parents?

Joseph: Yes it's a long story but when I was 15 I sought legal emancipation
because of some family issues at the time that meant I could be taken away
from my home and put into foster care. But when I was emancipated it meant
that wouldn't happen and I could go to live with my siblings if I so choose
but in the end was unnecessary as the issue resolved itself.

Rebecca: Uhh very well than but I still suggest you get your parents not
for legal reason but for support in what I am about to inform you on.

Joseph: ok one second than miss royal. (Joseph puts the phone down and goes
silent for 20seconds) Sorry but it appears my parents have gone out.

Rebecca: Hmm ok well unfortunately we don't have leisure time and I cannot
wait any longer for them to return.  Mr. Collins it is my unfortunate duty
to inform you that after a sibling search by our agency we found out that
the hospital you were delivered at had made a mistake.  They now
acknowledge this after a very lengthy conversation about it.  It seems that
you switched at birth with another child...

Joseph: ... Excuse me?!

Rebecca: I am very sorry but it seems that by the time the hospital
realized their mistake your family had already moved to Scotland and
because of this the hospital decided it didn't matter.  Seeing as you
stayed there till you turned 15 they claimed they couldn't find your
parents to inform them.  To inform you of this but unfortunately for us
both it does not end there.  5 months ago the child that you were switched
with passed away after a massive drug overdose.

Joseph (sobbing could be heard over the line.)

Rebecca: Once again it doesn't end there.  Your grand parents passed away 2
months later from natural causes. (This isn't fair what kind of god would
do this to a child).

Joseph: I understand...[sniffles]...thank you for informing me of this miss
royal.

Rebecca: Joseph that's not all I wish it was but there's more.  The couple
who were your "birth parents" had a 2nd child...(Some weird feeling overcame
Joe his tears stopped his brain engaged it kept telling him "this is your
chance at change do not mess this up) His names Joshua Robert Smith because
his grand parents, his parents, and his not related brother have passed on
you're his only remaining sibling. Which is the nature of this call
actually like you said earlier your almost 18 which mea....

Joseph: Miss Royal I know what your going to ask and once I talk to my
parents we will take every step possible to insure my brother is put into
my care. (Joseph wasn't sure his parents would see the same view as him but
he was legally emancipated and something told him this was what he was
meant to wait for).

Rebecca: well Joseph I must say that is a heavy burden off my shoulders you
see normally we wouldn't allow something like this but seeing as your 18 in
less than a month we decided to make an exception in this case and see if
you wish to gain full parental rights over Joshua.

Joseph: well miss Royal I would like to meet him first of course but other
than that I would gladly go to court to gain those rights if necessary.

Rebecca: That won't be a problem Mr. Collins.  But we cannot send him to
meet you there the state would not pay for something like this. (Joseph
snickered knowing he could easily afford to give this kid a first class
seat on a private jet if he wished)

Joseph: {snickers} Misses Royal my file probably doesn't mention this but
my family are multi billionaires and we would gladly pay for Joshua to fly
to Dubai first class and you if needed for him to come to visit us.

Rebecca: well Mr. Collins I knew your family was well off but I didn't know
it was to that extent... and no unfortunately it would not be me who would
take Joshua to Dubai but if your able to afford it so easily we could make
plans for him to be on the plane by your time tonight.

Joseph: gladly misses Royal how many tickets do I need to book?

Rebecca: One the second ticket would be paid for by the state of course our
Care Taker would not be able to fly first class so josh will need to fly in
the same class at the care taker because of his age.

Joseph: May I ask how old he is and also we would gladly pay the cost for
your care taker to go first class with Josh.

Rebecca: That is very generous of your family he is 13 years old
Mr. Collins the caretaker will be extremely pleased with your offer.  If
you are going to book the tickets it must be so that once Joshua is in your
care he stays with you for an entire month this way we can "bend" the
system so to speak so you can reach legal age to gain parental rights.  But
the caretaker will be on the first plane back to the US after he drops
Joshua in your care. Does this sound ok to you?

Joseph: Getting to meet my real brother and keep him for an entire month?
Misses Royal you probably won't ever know how "OK" I am extremely excited
to meet him. So yes and as we speak the tickets are being booked.

Rebecca: that is fantastic Mr. Collins we will go and get Josh immediately
and begin the process of getting him packed and explain this all to him on
the journey.  Thank you Mr. Collins This had helped us a great deal and I
am sorry for the lose of a family you never knew.  But before I go I must
warn you Joshua has grown up in a very poor household and all of this money
might suddenly confuse him abit.  So I suggest to not go overboard unless
necessary we want him to adjust to you on his own will not what his brain
says is the right thing to do.

Joseph: No problem misses Royal I will do my best but I have to bring him
to my home... I am not trying to sound pompous but my home is nothing he'll
have probably seen before...

Rebecca: that's not exactly what I meant Mr. Collins. I mean that we don't
want him loving you for your money.  He needs to have an emotional bond to
you if he feels like your just spoiling him he might love you for all the
wrong reasons.  This is off the record of course but I feel it's best if
you don't give him too much to quick after all he still is pretty much a
child.

Joseph: I understand now misses Royal thank you for your concern and it is
dully noted.

Rebecca: No Problem Mr. Collins. That's all we needed to talk about
actually so if you don't have any questions I should go and prepare Josh
for what's about to happen.

Joseph: Very well Misses Royal and no I do not have any questions. But
thank you for this... goodbye Rebecca Rebecca: Your very welcome and you
thank to. Goodbye Joseph.


Joseph hangs up and sits back in his white leather chair.  Thinking about
what he's just agreed to and being more excited than he's ever been about
it.

Joseph's parents: Joe! We're home!

Chapter 4: What Really Happened Joshua

Across the Ocean in Baltimore Josh: Excuse me Misses Royal what did you
say?

Rebecca: I know its shocking Joshua but after extensive searching we found
out that your "blood brother" wasn't actually related to you in any way,
shape, or form and infact your real brother is alive and well.

Josh: this doesn't make any sense how would my brother I've known since I
was born been just some kid who was mixed up without anyone realizing?

Rebecca: well the hospital figured it out 2 years later. But your blood
brothers family moved to Europe.  And by than they figured that telling you
would cause more pain than if they didn't. I am going to be honest here
Joshua the hospital was covering there ass.  They didn't want to deal with
the resulting law suite that would cost them a very large sum of money.

Joshua: so you're saying that I could sue them? I wouldn't have to be poor
anymore?

Rebecca: (Jesus is that all kids think about today money...) Well yes Joshua
you could but I must tell you... your real brother is... how to put this... your
real brothers family is extremely well off and infact he wants to meet you
very badly he already booked you a ticket to meet him.

Joshua: what do you mean a ticket? Where the hell does he live?

Rebecca: Your brother lives in UAE, Dubai.  That's his current residence

Joshua: I don't understand why does he want to meet me so badly I am just
some poor ass kid we don't even know each other all we have in common is
blood

Rebecca: I am not entirely sure either to be perfectly honest Joshua but he
does he's even paying for you to fly first class.

Joshua: Excuse me? Ok give me 20 minutes and I am out the door!  (Josh runs
a picture of his mother, a few shirts, and jeans

Rebecca was just standing there thinking, "That was the first time I've
heard a child in either of their voices.  It's like there the same person I
don't understand there from two different worlds entirely but Josh is still
so polite and respectful even though he was raised by a horrible man who
use to beat him extensively and kicked his own child out..." Her thoughts
were interrupted by josh running back in with only a very small bag of
cloths.

Rebecca: Is that all you wish to bring with you Joshua?

Josh: Well uhh... this is all I have Miss Royal my family didn't have much
money so we made do with what he gave to us.

Rebecca thinking again, "this poor child he's gone through so much without
any help yet he seems like a regular kid if not poorer than most." "Ok
Joshua lets go than your flight is in 3 hours and your brother has a
surprise for you one you get to Dubai, he told me."

Josh's eyes lit up for the first time in a very long time "What?? A
surprise did he say what it was?"

Rebecca (that's amazing that moment his eyes lit up I saw an entirely
different person). "I am not sure Joshua but I am sure it'll be extremely
nice he sounds like a very nice young man Lets go we need to get you to the
airport and off to meet your new family" she said choking back a tear at
how happy this child is from the slightest gesture of affection.

Chapter 5 The Arrival

(15 hours later) in Dubai


Joe is sitting on the sofa across from his parents in a fit of nerves
wondering if his brother will like him or despise him from taking him away
from everything he's ever known.

"Joseph" Marie his mother said to her son.

"Ye mum?" slightly worried she never used Joseph unless something's wrong.

"Hunny you know we love you right? Even though you may not be our child by
blood we hold a strong connection to you that transcends blood and we will
treat you brother the same."

"Thanks mum I know this is a lot to take in thanks for staying with me
while we wait but I'd like to pick him up alone if possible? It's just I am
the last family he has and I'd like to talk with him first."

His father James spoke up now: "If that is what you wish Joseph we'll
happily agree to it seeing as soon it'll be your decision completely with
Joshua."

"Thanks guys I am sorry that all this is happening I know it's hard on you
guys as well."

"Son we love you and that means sometimes pain will be apart of our life
but when that pain will be as rewarding as seeing you finally fill that gap
you've been feeling for the past year. "

"Umm? What?"

"What you thought your mother and I were completely clueless? Son we
noticed the second your heart was damaged like that and we notice right now
that that gap is being healed faster than ever right now. Whatever can make
you feel happy we will do."

"I love you guys... but I need to get going the flight lands in 45minutes."

"Ok son we'll see you in a week you remember that our plane leaves in 2
hours for Scotland to visit your... umm well our other kids."

"I completely forgot dad I am sorry..."

"Its understandable son what you learned today is extremely unexpected and
we don't blame you at all. This will give u plenty of time just you and
your real brother... I think Matt and Paul are going to be a little hurt
though they thought you were there real brother. I know you've never really
felt that way about them but it's not the time to talk about that... bye son
and be safe."

"Bye dad! Bye mom!"

To Be Continued.

Hope you like the first part I said there isn't any sex yet I want this to
be a proper story. But like I said when the sex begins it will be in a big...
way.  Also I am saving the looks of both boys for the next part so that the
first time you get to see them in a sense is when they see each other.
