In Time

It was Saturday afternoon, September 15th, and Alex had just arrived at the
Lee's house, of course to see Martin Lee. He walked to the door and
knocked. In only a few seconds, it opened.

"Hey Martin," Alex said with a bright smile.

"Hey Alex."

The two walked into the den and sat down next to each other. Martin wrapped
his arm around Alex's shoulder and Alex cuddled up to Martin as they sat
together.

"I'm just so glad this whole thing is over. I can't believe what that
asshole did to Jacob," Alex said as he lay his head down on Martin's chest.

"Yea, Corey's been talking about it a good bit lately. I'm just glad Corey
kicked his ass, and that whoever did it was sent to prison. You guys are
pressing charges right?" Martin asked.

"Of course. We're also getting Jacob's bike repainted at the bike shop,"
Alex said as he looked up into Martin's eyes.

"Wait, I thought it was stolen?" Martin said with a puzzled look on his
face.

"Well Jacob had said it was to try to keep this whole thing covered up. The
person actually had spray painted it pink and wrote fag on the side. Jacob
hid it in our basement this whole time."

Martin let out a sigh and pulled Alex in a little tighter as he lowered his
face to Alex's hair. He nuzzled his nose through his hair a little and
breathed in.

"What's wrong with people in this world?" Martin asked softly as he
continued to cuddle with Alex.

"I just think people are scared of things they don't understand," Alex
replied as he rubbed his head against Martin's chest.

"Well hey, how about a brighter subject?" Martin suddenly said happily.

"Ok like what?"

"Well I was thinking about my upcoming birthday party. I definitely want
you there so I was wondering..." but before he could continue Alex suddenly
sat up and looked at him, his eyes wide with surprise.

"Wait...when is your birthday?"

"The 28th....why?" Martin asked with a lopsided smile.

"Because dude, mine's the 30th!" Alex said excitedly.

Suddenly, Martin became just as hyper, if not more, than Alex.

"JOINT BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!" Martin practically yelled in excitement.

"This is going to be awesome!" Alex said happily.

"I'll talk to Corey about it and see what he thinks."

Martin said just as Alex declared in unison: "I'll talk to Jacob about it
and see what he thinks."

Suddenly both boys looked at each other, puzzled.

"Wait, why do you have to talk to Corey?" Alex suddenly asked "Well because
his birthday is also on the 28th so I've always had a joint birthday party
with him.

Why do you have to talk to Jacob?" Martin rejoined.

Alex suddenly smiled and it looked like he was about to burst out laughing.

"Because dude, his birthday is the 29th and I've always had a joint
birthday party with him as well" Alex said with a humorous grin.

"Oh this is just too weird," Martin said with the same grin.

Alex wrapped his arm around Martin's shoulder and pulled him into an
embrace. He then leaned Martin backwards down onto the couch and was only
inches from his face. His eyes were shining with the joy he felt and the
love he had for this boy in his arms. Martin moved his hand to lightly
touch Alex's cheek. It was smooth and warm as both boys simply looked the
other in the eye.

Then their eyes closed as they leaned in and their lips came into
contact. Their kiss was almost religious in the way it brought up feelings
in both boys. They felt as though it was their first time all over
again. The moment resonated with a connection that many envied, some felt
spite for, yet for these two boys, it was the connection that provided them
with a feeling of being secure and loved.

Then suddenly Martin pulled away just a bit so he could catch his
breath. The two locked eyes for a moment again until Martin pulled Alex in
so they were now spooning on the couch. Alex was on the outer edge while
Martin held him securely from behind. Alex moved his hands to hold onto
Martin's hand as the two felt the comfort of being so close.

Martin grinned mischievously, which Alex was unable to see, and spoke up.

"Hey Alex, could you get up for just a second?" Martin asked.

"Sure"

Alex then stood up in front of the couch and turned around while Martin was
still lying in the spooning position on the couch.

"Ok well now that you're up, and since I am your elder, I command you to
get us some sodas,"

Martin said sarcastically with a giant grin as he started to giggle.

"Well as the younger one, I command you to kiss my butt" Alex said as he
turned around and wiggled his rear in front of Martin's face.

Suddenly Martin reached out and wrapped his hand around Alex's waist. He
then pulled him back on to the couch and reached up under his shirt. He
started rubbing Alex's left nipple with his finger and brought his mouth
close to his ear.

"Well I might just take you up on that offer, because it is a really nice
butt," Martin said in a seductive whisper.

Alex felt a shiver go through his body as he let the words sink in. The
image alone was a bit odd, but he wondered how it might feel. He had never
given it thought before, and honestly some of the things he was doing with
Martin were already pushing him outside of his own comfort zone.

He thought he might be open to the idea of trying stuff like that, but it
would be for later on. For now he enjoyed where he was with Martin.

It was September 18th, Tuesday afternoon and both Mr. and Ms. Lee were
sitting across the kitchen table from Mr. and Ms. Stewart at the Stewart's
house. Since Martin and Alex's conversation, both Corey and Jacob had also
embraced the idea of a join birthday party. They had talked to their
parents who now were sorting out all the logistics of planning these
parties.

They had both agreed that Jacob and Corey would have their party at the
Stewart's house while Martin and Alex would have their party at the Lee's
house. The parties would be on the 22nd and the guests would spend the
night until the 23rd and leave around 12 that afternoon. They had also
agreed that each kid could have over 6 friends so that it would be a
manageable number of people. They assumed a few guests would overlap, so it
would probably be about 8 or 10 kids total. Everything else such as music,
food, d cor, etc. had been taken care of already and the invitations would
be in the mail by tomorrow.

"But I think we can all agree," Mr. Stewart said as he took a sip of his
coffee, "that it would be best to keep the parties stationed at the house,
or at least with activities that we can have at the house."

"I can agree with that," Ms. Lee said.

"For sure, driving all of them around would be mad," Mr. Lee said.

"Though maybe we could consider a little boating? I mean the lake is right
there and we both have boats. Granted ours being a motor boat won't be able
to hold all our guests, but maybe the excess could ride on your sail boat?"
Ms. Stewart said.

"I think that would be a great idea. We already told the guests to bring
bathing suits so this should work out fine. Plus it would help use up their
energy. So what did ya get your kids for their birthdays?" Mr. Lee said.

"Well, we got Jacob a pair of headphones since his old ones were starting
to fall apart...." Mr.

Stewart said "And we got Alex a soundcard he was wanting for his
computer. Both our kids enjoy their music and always want some new speaker
system or something like that," Ms. Stewart said with a little laugh. "So
what about your kids?" Ms. Stewart asked.

"Well, Corey had been asking for a new laptop because his old one has
failed so he's been using one of our old ones; a very old one at
that. Martin on the other hand wanted some watch, so we got him that,"
Mr. Lee said.

Both parents sat drinking their coffee and they knew what subject was bound
to come up. It was a dimension to the party that, though most of the guests
may be unaware of, the parents knew all too well. The four sat there
awkwardly until finally Ms. Lee decided to speak up.

"The one question I have is this. What about the fact that the boys are
dating, I mean could that possibly cause issues?" Ms. Lee said, a bit
anxious and even a little nervous.

"Well...I think of it like this. All four boys are old enough to make their
own decisions, and I think that they know how they need to act together
around guests. It's really up to them if they want to show affection
towards each other around the other guests, as long as it's within reason.

So I think we will leave that up to the boys," Mr. Stewart said
confidently.

He had full faith in both his boys that they would make the right decisions
in their relationships.

The Lees shared this same faith in their sons. They wrapped up the
conversation about the party, thanked the Stewarts for the coffee and
headed out.

It was Saturday morning on the 22nd at about 11:00 a.m., but Corey was
already bouncing with excitement along with Martin. The two sat anxiously
in the living room as they waited for their parents to get home with the
last of the groceries for the night.

"So...what did you get Jacob?" Martin suddenly asked out of the blue.

"Well...a few clothes I think he would look good in, a pendent, and I have
one other thing for him."

"And that is?" Martin said with a curious smile.

"Something for him, and him only" Corey said with a somewhat mischievous
smile.

Alex looked over at him and studied his face for a second. Then he gave his
brother a knowing look, indicating that he probably figured out what it
was.

"Well you have fun with that last one," Martin said mischievously.

"How about you, what does Alex have in store?"

"Well I got him a few albums from some indie bands I know. I think he's
going to like them since he's into a lot of that kind of music. I also
grabbed this pair of sunglasses for him," Martin said pulling out the pair
of shades.

The reason for this, though, was because he accidently broke Alex's on
Thursday. It was an honest mistake on Martin's part though. While they had
been "wrestling" around on the floor Martin rolled over and accidently
snapped them in half. Alex was a bit upset but quickly forgave Martin.

As a result, Martin had gone shopping the night before and found a pair
that he thought would look exceptionally good on Alex. They were a bit
expensive, and ate up most of his budget, but he thought it was worth
it. Really, it was a win-win situation. Alex got a new pair of stylish
shades, and Martin got more eye candy to look at. When paying for the
sunglasses, a thought had come to Martin: when he said only the shades on,
he literally meant only the shades.

That actually sounds incredibly hot...I should try that with him, Alex
thought as his mind trailed off to images of Alex in some picturesque place
with the sun illuminating his skin. His hair a little messed up because of
a light wind while he stood there with only a pair of shades on and the
rest of his body's full glory exposed.

Suddenly the garage door opened and Mr. and Ms. Lee walked in with bags of
groceries. Corey leaped into the air and, with his night bag and present
bag in hand, ran over to his father. Corey was jumping up and down like a
small child on Christmas morning waiting for permission to open his
presents.

"So Dad, can we head over to Jacob's house now?" Corey said clutching his
stuff, ready to fly out the door at any given second.

"Hold on a minute Corey...Jeez if this is you now I can't imagine you with
soda and cake. I feel sorry for Jacobs's parents now" Mr. Lee said with a
hearty laugh.

Corey just rolled his eyes and let out a long "Daaaaadddd" whine as he sat
there.

"Well if you help us with these groceries that will mean you'll get to go
over to Jacobs's house that much faster" Mr. Lee said as he headed out to
the garage to grab the rest of the groceries.

With those words, Corey ran out and ran back in with the groceries in hand
so within ten minutes all the groceries had been unloaded from the car and
unpacked. Corey then grabbed his bags and went up to his father.

"Now can we go Dad?" Corey asked impatiently.

"It's not like their going anywhere son, but yes we can leave now," Mr. Lee
said as he walked over to his wife, gave her a quick kiss and said he would
be back with Alex in a moment.

He then grabbed his keys for the Jaguar and helped Corey load his stuff
into the trunk. He backed out the car and headed down the street for
Jacob's house.

"Ok son, well I hope you enjoy your birthday party. Your present is already
at the Stewart's house so you won't have to come over to grab it."

"Thanks Dad."

The Jaguar then glided into the driveway and came to a stop. Mr. Stewart
got out with his son and helped him grab his bags. Corey took both in his
hand but before he could walk off his dad lightly placed his hand on his
shoulder. Corey turned around and looked at his dad with a somewhat puzzled
face.

"Have a great time son. Your mom and I are really proud of you and we both
love you," Mr. Lee said as he ruffled his son's hair just a bit and sent
him up to the front door.

Corey rang the doorbell. Within a few seconds the door flew open as if on
springs and on the other side was Jacob, looking as hyper as an animated
cartoon character.

"COREY!!" Jacob said as he leaped forward and wrapped his hands around
Corey's shoulders.

He then leaned in and gave him a light kiss on the cheek and lightly
whispered in his ear "I look forward to tonight, birthday boy," Jacob said
in a seductive tone.

Just then Alex walked by both of them, with his overnight bag in one hand
and a large black shopping bag in the other.

"You two get a room please" Alex said mockingly as he walked by and down
the steps heading towards the pathway.

"Yea right, you probably like it," Jacob said back in an equally taunting
tone.

"Sorry I don't like watching old guys make out," Alex said sticking his
tongue out as he finished.

"Well, I think Jacob and me enjoy being old. Besides it lets us do things
you probably still can't"

Corey said with a mocking smile.

"Like what?" Alex replied with a look of confusion Corey then mouthed out
the word "Cum" clearly enough for Alex to see. Alex's eyes suddenly grew a
bit and his nostrils flared as his face reddened. He then rolled his eyes
and let out an annoyed sigh.

"Whatever," Alex said quickly as he turned around and walked towards
Mr. Lee's car.

He didn't really care anyway. What he cared about and looked forward to was
being with Martin.

Corey and Jacob watched as Corey's dad pulled out of the driveway and then
they looked at each other again. Their eyes met, gleaming with
excitement. Jacob reached out and took Corey's hand as he led him into the
house; both boys bouncing with anticipation, and ready to have a night of
fun.

Alex sat on the couch rooting on Martin who was going head to head with
Thom in a game of Need For Speed Pro Street. Though Martin wasn't the best
at racing games, he was just about as good as Thom so it was a fairly even
match.

It was already around 4:00 and the kids had wanted one last round of video
games before they headed out to go sailing. It had been decided that they
would sail down to the Stewart's dock, pick up any kids who couldn't fit
onto the motorboat, then sail around the lake for a bit and eventually end
up at the cove for a quick dip.

Finally, the race was coming to a close and both kids were neck and
neck. The guests were rooting on one or the other, and both boys were
focused on winning. Then at the last second Martin pulled ahead barely and
won the race.

Half the guests got up with him in a victory "YEA!" while the other half
let out an "Aww" at Thom's loss.

"Ok boys, go get your suits on and we can head out for some sailing"
Mr. Lee said as he walked over to the den.

They all immediately jumped up and started running up stairs in a giant
pack. There were 10 kids in total including Alex and Martin. Two of the
guests, Daniel and Derrick, were doubly invited by both Martin and Alex so
they overlapped. The other two of the guests weren't able to make it.

One being Martins friend Jackson, who was away visiting family, though he
said he would much rather be at the birthday. The other was Caleb, who in
Alex's opinion didn't really give a good reason. He had been up for the
party until Alex mentioned that it would be with Martin, at which point
Caleb said he suddenly remembered he had something to do that weekend and
couldn't make it. Alex found it a bid odd but decided to look past it.

"So dude where do we change" Marcus asked as the group stopped at the top
of the stairs. He was one of Alex's friends from basketball team.

"Well you guys can either change in Corey's room, his bathroom, or the hall
bathroom. Me and Alex will change in my room" Martin said as he headed to
his room.

"Together?" Aaron, a friend invited by Martin, said inquisitively.

Just as Alex was about to speak up and defend them by saying there was a
bathroom in Martin's room so they could change separately, Martin spoke up
first.

"And if we did, is that a problem? I mean how's it any different from the
locker rooms? Plus in all honesty who the hell cares anyway? I don't think
any of us are girls...are you?" Martin said a bit sarcastically at the end.

The boys all looked up for a second, as if thinking about it, and then
looked back to meet eyes with Martin. They all shrugged their shoulders and
decided that it really wasn't a big deal.

"Well....maybe we should..." Wyatt, a friend invited by Alex, started to
say a bit quietly. He had always been shy.

"Maybe we should what?" Alan, another friend invited by Martin, said in an
encouraging voice.

He wasn't trying to make Wyatt uncomfortable in any way. He was honestly
trying to encourage him to speak up a bit. He had been friends with Wyatt
for as long as he had been with Alex and knew that he was shy.

"Well, to save time, why not just change in Martin's room together" Wyatt
finally forced out. He immediately started blushing and looked
uncomfortable.

"I second that idea!" Jason, a friend invited by Alex, said.

The rest of the boys all agreed with nods and started to head towards
Martin's room with their suits in hand.

Martin was disappointed and excited at the same time. He was disappointed
because he had wanted to spend some time with Alex, but after giving the
speech he did, there would be no way he could convince them that he needed
privacy with only one boy. Yet after this disappointment he realized that
he would be changing with 9 other boys and might get to see them fully
naked.

That quickly cheered his mood as he led the way to his room.

The boys entered and began to quickly change out of their clothes. Martin
sadly wasn't able to see much since they were all changing at about the
same time. He did look at Alex for a bit, and thought he noticed the
smallest bit of pubes coming in. They were very small and he at first
thought maybe he was wrong but he squinted a bit and for sure there were
some just above his dick. Martin smiled to himself as he thought about the
oncoming development he and Alex were bound to go through.

Alex, on the other hand, was changing but noticed only one thing. He
noticed that Wyatt was staring at something the whole time. He looked where
and saw it was right at Alan's crotch. He began to wonder if maybe Wyatt
was just curious, or wanted to do something with Alan. But he noticed that
his eyes were glued. Suddenly Alan looked over at Wyatt with a bemused
smile on his face. Wyatt looked away quickly, blushing, but then looked
over at Alan one last time. Alan looked at him with a somewhat coy smile
and then winked at Wyatt.

Wyatt's eyes suddenly grew huge as he quickly turned away towards the
window. Alex saw him say something under his breath, but he couldn't hear
what he had said. Wyatt then quickly pulled up his bathing suit and threw
on his shirt to get ready to head out.

Alex also changed and by the time he threw on his shirt the rest of the
boys were already heading out leaving him as the last one. But just before
he walked out the door it suddenly shut and standing in front of him was
Martin, who had been waiting for him behind the door. He had a mischievous
grin on his face and walked forward to Alex. He quickly pulled him into an
embrace and began to passionately kiss him, in a very aggressive way. Alex
felt the excitement overcome him and he pulled Martin in as well. Suddenly
Martin pulled back a bit and put his index finger right up to Alex's face
and directly under his right eye. He traced it in small circles across the
right side of his face.

"That's only a small taste of what I've got for you tonight Mr. Birthday
boy," Martin said in a voice filled with desire.

"Will it taste better than the cake?" Alex asked playfully.

Martin's eyes lit up as his face betrayed his desire. If it were up to him,
he would have just had Alex and the house to themselves for a few
days. That would have been nothing short of heaven.

"Let's just say it's your "other dessert"" Martin said in that same
seductive tone.

Alex grinned widely when suddenly Martin walked by. As he did he reached
out his hand and lightly slapped Alex on the ass.

"Come on Cutie, we gotta get to the boat," Martin said as he walked out the
door.

Alex quickly followed behind and walked down the stairs side by side with
him. The rest of the boys were already waiting at the bottom of the stairs.

"Sheesh, took you guys long enough," Daniel shoute.

"Sorry I had to grab one of Alex's birthday presents," Martin said as he
held up a small rectangular box Alex hadn't even noticed that Martin had
been holding the box.

"Happy birthday Alex!" Martin said as he held the box out to him.

Alex opened it up and inside was a pair of Prada Linea Rossa
sunglasses. They were shield style and had a slight purple tint. Alex
immediately looked over to Martin with a huge smile.

"Dude these are awesome! Thanks!" Alex said as he pulled Martin into an
embrace.

"No problem, especially since I had broken your other ones on Thursday,"
Martin said a bit sheepishly.

"Well that's dandy but we need to get going now," Mr. Lee said, seeming to
appear out of nowhere.

Alex and Martin had been so caught up in the moment that they hadn't even
noticed Mr. Lee come up behind them. They both smiled and quickly bounded
down the stairs to join the other boys as they headed out the door and
towards the boat.

Jacob sat with Corey and all the other guests down near the dock waiting
for the boat to pull up.

It was already 4:30 and he was beginning to wonder if they had forgotten
about them.

Suddenly, the blast of a horn pulled them all out of their trance as they
quickly looked to the right. There, they saw the sail boat coming towards
the dock. Alex and Martin were standing on the deck along with all their
guests calling out to them, waving, making taunts, and just about anything
else a bunch of 11 to 13 year olds would do on a boat during a birthday
party.

The boat came up to the dock and stopped while Mr. Lee, Mr. Stewart, Corey,
and Martin worked to tie it up. Finally they had it ready.

Jacob looked up and saw that Alex was wearing a new pair of shades, which
looked very stylish on him. They almost made him look like a kid model.

"Nice shades bro," Jacob called up to Alex with a wave.

"Thanks. Martin got them for me," Alex called back with a smile.

Jacob looked over to Martin who looked back and waved. Jacob waved back and
gave a thumbs up. Martin nodded back as he walked down the boat towards
Alex. Then Ms. Stewart was suddenly standing in front of them dressed in
her swim suit with her sunglasses on.

"Ok guys now listen. We can have about a max of 8 people on the motor
boat. Since there are 11 including Corey and Jacob, 13 including me and
Mr. Stewart, 5 of you will have to go on the sail boat. So, is anyone
wanting to volunteer?" Ms. Stewart asked as she stood over the group of
boys who were eagerly waiting to get on the boat.

"Well, I don't really like going fast so I guess I will," Isaac said as he
got up and walked over to the sail boat.

"I'll go with Isaac," Lee said as he got up and walked over with Isaac.

"I'll go to" Cameron shouted as he hopped up and sprinted to the boat.

"Well, I'm cool with hanging with them for a bit" Nick said following
closely behind Cameron.

"Nick borrowed my phone anyway so...wait...NICK!" Ethan yelled as he chased
Nick up onto the boat.

"Ok well that's settled. Let's head off!" Mr. Stewart said as the rest of
the boys all climbed onto the motorboat.

Then suddenly the Lees turned on their stereo, and out blasted some rave
sounding techno song as they began to pull away from the dock.

"Wow that thing can sure make noise," Tim commented as they heard the
volume increase a bit.

"Yea, they can make some noise," Mr. Stewart said as he started the boat
and the engine roared to life "But I think we can do better," he continued
with a grin.

"How?" Parker asked as he looked at Mr. Stewart, confused.

The motorboat had a decent sound system, but it was nothing in comparison
to the power behind the much larger sailing boat that was getting ready to
set off behind them.

"Oh...just by doing this," Mr. Stewart said.

Without warning he threw the throttle down all the way causing the engines
to rev to their max and roar loud enough so they couldn't even hear the
boat behind them anymore. Their boat flew out of the docks and sped away
generating a huge wake and flying across the lake as it continued to
increase speed.

The boys had fallen backwards into their seats and looked behind them to
see the sailing boat still pulling away from the dock. They were quickly
moving away from it and began to do circles in the middle of the lake as
they waved to the other boat off in the distance.

"So boys, want to go to the cove for a dip and lunch?" Mr. Stewart asked.

The boys all cheered a "yes!" in unison as Mr. Stewart turned the boat
towards the cove and opened up the engines again.

Jacob all the while sat looking across at Corey, and memories flooded back
as he remembered how similar the situation had been when they first
met. Jacob's face had an almost dream like appearance as he looked over at
Corey, who stared back at him with a smile as well. It was a fond memory,
and it was amazing that it had led all the way to this place.

Before either Corey or Jacob realized it, several hours had already
passed. Both groups had met up at the cove and had tons of fun. The boys
swam together and played various games of tag and football on the beach,
wrestled, and did everything else you would imagine a group of kids would
do. The adults simply sat on the sail boat and enjoyed some wine and
watched from the boat to make sure the kids were being safe.

The boys had a snack on the boat and then went right back to all the games
on the beach and in the water. Soon, a few more hours passed and the sun
was beginning to get low. The parents called the boys in and told them they
had a few more minutes to wrap up their games. Jacob had been in the middle
of a game of Frisbee when suddenly Corey came up to him.

"Hey Jacob...could I get a minute with you?" Corey asked with a smile.

"Umm...sure one second. HEY I'll BE BACK OK" Jacob shouted to the teams as
he walked off with Corey.

They all said sure and immediately continued their game. Corey led Jacob
away from the beach and towards a few rocks that were formed in a pile. It
provided them privacy from the beach and cove. The rocks also kept the cars
on the road from seeing them and let them see the desert way off in the
distance. It was a beautiful site, with the darkened landscape mixing with
the cascade of light that was racing across the sky from the oncoming
sunset.

"I wanted to give you one of your gifts a bit early," Corey said as he put
his backpack down.

It was a waterproof one he carried with him on the boat that he had brought
on shore with him.

He had said it was only for carrying the football and Frisbee, but it
obviously carried a few other things.

Corey pulled out a cardboard cylinder that split in the middle and handed
it to Jacob.

"Happy birthday Jacob, I hope you like it," Corey said with a smile as he
watched Jacob twist the cylinder open.

Inside was a pendent. At first Jacob wasn't sure what it was but then he
recognized the shape. It was in the shape of fire from how it would look in
a Japanese anime. It was several tubes of some black material that wove up
parallel to each other. There were empty spaces in between the tubes, and
the tubes themselves had green lines traveling up them to the tip. The
green was so familiar looking, and then he realized it was the exact green
of Corey's eyes.

He suddenly looked up to Corey with an expression of awe. It was an amazing
gift to say the least.

"I got it made at a local shop. The tubes are carbon fiber, and I got the
green paint to be the same color as my eyes. I got it because...Well,
remember that time you described my eyes as green fire?" Corey asked,
sounding a bit nervous.

"Yea I do," Jacob replied.

"Well...I wanted to give you something so that when we weren't
together...well maybe it could be a way of me giving you a part of
me....well sort of..." Corey said, he was now nervous and unsure of how to
explain the significance of his gift.

Yet Corey's explanations weren't needed. Jacob clearly understood the value
it held, and it brought him to a state of euphoria. The fact that it
derived from the value of their relationship as a couple made him fall for
this boy just that much more.

Suddenly, Jacob reached out and placed his finger on Corey's mouth. He
looked him in the eyes and began to speak.

"It's an amazing gift, you're an amazing boyfriend, and I really do love
you....wonder boy,"

Jacob said as he leaned forward and took Corey into a passionate kiss.

They stayed this way for several moments, holding each other, feeling their
skin in contact, and sharing a moment that they would always remember.

Suddenly, they heard the boat horn and realized it was time to go. They
came from behind the rocks and quickly blended with the rest of the boys as
they walked towards the water. All of a sudden, Jacob stopped short of the
water and looked over to Corey.

"Wait, is this thing waterproof?" Jacob said with a look of panic on his
face as he held his hand to the pendent on his chest.

A bemused look appeared on Corey's face and he let out a light giggle.

"Dude, it's made from carbon fiber and the paint is permanently sealed
in. So yes, it's waterproof. Actually it's practically indestructible for
that matter," Corey said reassuringly Jacob felt a wave of relief and
jumped into the water as he swam out and boarded the boat with the rest of
the kids.

"That's a really cool pendent Jacob" Mr. Stewart said pointing out Jacobs's
fire pendent.

The other boys all chimed in agreeing that it was really cool looking and
came to look at it up close.

"Thanks, Corey got it for me" Jacob said with a bright smile.

"Wow, Corey how much did you spend on that thing, it looks expensive?"
Ms. Stewart said with a somewhat bewildered look.

It was obvious that the pendent had been handmade and the materials used to
make it were certainly not cheap.

"It doesn't matter what I spent, as long as Jacob likes it, it's worth
every dime," Corey said as he looked Jacob in the eyes.

Jacob saw that look again on Corey's face. The look he had seen so many
times before. Then his eyes looked like green fire and he knew what Corey
was feeling. He was feeling it himself, and he couldn't wait for the night.

It was more than passion, or desire, it was love.
