Subject: My Little One: Chapter Three

I love my little angel. The first and only thing that came to mind as I
woke up the following morning. That and the fact that my major hardness
was creeping up Josh's shorts, letting me feel, with a more sensitive
organ, his soft globes. I kiss him as I get out of bed and look to the
alarm clock. Five-thirty in the morning, how do I always manage to get up
half an hour earlier than I have to? I walk into the living room, to find
Ashley up sipping a cup of coffee.
"G'morning. How was your sleep last night?"I ask, thinking of how awesome
mine was.
"Let me put it to you like this: It was the one night of sleep when I
actually didn't wake up scared." Ashley says.
"I'm glad you slept well. Josh is still asleep. I' m not gonna wake him
up until six."
"That's fine. Your mom is in the kitchen. She wants to talk to you." Oh
great. What now? She probably saw something last night. I walk into the
kitchen, and head to the coffee machine. My mug already placed out for
me, wow she knows me too well. I pour as I say,
"Morning mom, what did you want?"
"Oh, morning." She says, acting as if she didn't see me come in. "Would
you mind walking with Josh to school today? I don't want his dad trying
to take him."
"Honestly. Do I mind?" I finish prepping my coffee by adding the creamer.
"Well I don't know. I thought you wouldn't want one of your friends to
see you walking with a little kid. I was just asking, you know?"
"I know mom, but how could I ever be embarrassed by Josh?"
"Okay, okay. I get your point. Now, go wake Josh up."
"Mom, he doesn't have to be at school `til eight-fifteen."
"I just wanted the two of you to eat something before you leave."
"All right."

I tread back up the stairs, to get Josh. I walk into my room, and slowly
peel the covers off his body. He shudders from the cool breeze. I lay
next to him for a minute, just watching his chest move up and down. And
listening to his breathing, for some reason, it puts me in heaven. Just
watching him put me in a better mood. I put my arm around him, pulling
him close to me.
"Josh, baby. Wake up."I whisper in his ear. He turns over groggily, his
eyes still partially shut. "C'mon, let's go shower so we can get some
breakfast before I walk you to you to school."
"Okay, I'll just be a few minutes in the shower. Can you get my clothes
for me?"
"Of course. What do you want?"
"You choose, I know it'll look good."
"Whatever. . ."
I run downstairs to my cooling coffee. And sit next to Ashley on the
couch. She looks at me over the rim of her mug.
"So," she says putting down her mug. " your mom was telling me that
you're really, um, gay." My day started out soooo well too. Now she has
to bring this up? I mean, how much more cruel could one get?
"Yes, I am. Not to scare you ma'am, but I also love Josh." I say, trying
to end the whole conversation with that line.
"I knew that, sweety." Sweety? She just HAD to go and add that little
bit. "I want to let you know that I'm happy for you. I'm just glad that
you admit it." Oh my god. When I came out to my mom, she said the exact
same line. If this conversation went any farther, I could probably recite
it as a one man show.
"Thanks. . .I'm just glad you can accept that."
"Well, I have had these little hints with Josh. So, it's really nothing
new."Yup, just got too familiar.
"Oh, that reminds me I need to get Josh some clothes. Where did you put
them?"
"I'll bring you his duffle and his backpack, so you can put them in your
room. Which is, I take it, where Josh will be sleeping."
"Ya. And, by the way, I love your son and I would never hurt him."
"I'm sure you wouldn't. I know you love him." At that, she leaves the
room. God, was that the worst, actually second worst, conversation with
an adult I have ever had. Ashley walks back in, carrying a moderate sized
black duffle and a blue Jansport backpack. I take them from her, thank
her and go back to my room.

I walk in, only to find Josh standing naked. Boned up, and with his hands
on his hips.
"I told you I would only be a few minutes. Now, what should I wear." Josh
says, sarcastically.
"God, you can be such a girl sometimes." I say, speaking to him as if
I've known him for years.
"Hey, what do you mean by that?"
"Well, all the times that I saw you in the morning, you were checking
your hair. And making sure your clothes were lint free. Okay, so I admit
I do that too, but. . ."All I could think to do after that was to hug his
naked body. So, I did. Feeling everything, pressing into my chest.
Knock, knock, knock.
"Guys," Josh's mom, says walking into the room, " break. . .fast. . .is.
. .re. . .ady. Right, um, I'll just, um, see you guys down stairs. K?
Bye!" She sounded sooo shocked, and the look on her face, was priceless.
With the way she ran out of the room, just confirming it ten times over.
"Josh," I look at him with the funniest looking face ever, "I think you
should get dressed before my. . .
"Guys, come. . .dow. . .n. . .for. . .break. . .fast."My mom says. Then
darting out of the room.
". . .mom comes in."I say to finish my sentence. Josh bursts out into
laughter, and I quickly join him.
He throws on a plain blue T-shirt and a pair of jean shorts. I quickly
shower, while Josh waits on my bed. I wear a pair of blue slacks and, an
identical Quiksilver shirt. Throwing on a sweatshirt, I pick up my angel
and carry him to the kitchen. We sit down in the two chairs left open for
us. Our parents look at us, and we start laughing once more.
"Boys, that will NEVER leave the house." They say in unison. -
"The look on your face was sooo funny!"I say.
"What did you expect me to look like? I just saw my son hugging a naked
eleven year old. Oh, did I mention, naked?"My mom says sarcastically.
"I knew you loved Josh, but not that much."Ashley says."I don't mind just
not in front of me please."
"So, what's for breakfast?" Josh asks.
"Um, well sausage and eggs. . ."My mom trails into a laugh.
"At least you're finding this funny."
"By the way, I have a doctor's appointment this evening. So I won't be in
until about seven o'clock." Ashley says.
"That's fine, you know Josh is safe with me."
"All to well."
"Shut-up!"
"All right you two. Get your things ready."

Josh and I return from my room with our backpacks, and books. We leave
the house at seven-thirty I walk with him close as we pass his house. A
look of fear sits upon his face.
"Josh. I'm here. I may have failed you once, but I won't ever again." I
say. He looks up at me with a smile of confirmation on his face. For that
I thank God.
He leaves me at the front gate of the middle school, where he meets a
mysterious blonde boy. Who smiles at me sweetly. I try to place his face
but cannot. I hope I meet him.

"Busco la tarea! Busco la tarea!" Senior Ramez yells to the class.
"Lo tengo." I respond as he checks off my paper.
"So, who was that kid I saw you walking with?" Robert asks. Ah, Robert.
He has blonde and brown hair as I myself do. His eyes are brown, a lovely
deep brown that I love to stare into.
"Josh, the little kid who used to live down the block. He came running to
me for help the other night. So, we took him and his mom in."
"Why? I mean he's cute and all but. . ."
"Because his dad was beating him, them. And I like him so I, we took them
in."
"Aww, Scotty's got a little boyfriend."
"Shut-up Alex. I don't need the whole class to know. Jeez!"
"All right. So, when do I get to meet him?"
"Maybe tonight. I dunno, we'll see."

That strenuous period over along with English and math and science. All
boring `cos, I can't see Robert. Onto lunch, I sit in the bleachers
with Robert and Lea. Robert takes the soda from my hand and takes a swig.
Lea stares at the two of us with those eyes. Lea's eyes are the most
beautiful that I have ever seen, they begin brown and move to green and
blue. These accent her blonde hair perfectly, though with it's length it
blocks the view.
"Hey! Did I say you could have some?"I ask. Basically faking my anger.
"It's a community soda, and we all love each other here, so fuck off."
Robert retorts.
"C' mon ladies we don't need this around here." Lea interjects. That is
when my phone rings.

"Hello?" I ask in wonder, since the number is blocked.
"It's Josh. Hey."Josh says.
"Since when do you have a cell phone?"
"It's Tyler's. He. . .ouch. . .we want to know if he can come over
tonight."
"Who's Tyler?
" You know the kid whose butt you were staring at this morning?"
"Whoa, low blows. Why do you say that?"
"I'm not blind and neither is he. So, can he?"
"I guess. As long as, his parents are okay with it. Let me talk to him."
"Hold on."
"Hello?" Tyler says. His little voice comes in.
"Ya, so are your parents okay with this?"
"Ya, my dad works with your mom. Remember? Wes, my dad, at the Christmas
party? Me, Tyler, see-food kid?"
"Oh yeah. Yeah that's fine. You can come over. Meet me at the gate where
I dropped off Josh."
"Thanks, see ya."
"Later."

I turn to Robert. Look at him with a menacing smile on my face. "Well
looks like your gonna get your wish. You're coming with me tonight. Lea.
Want to come?"
"Nah., it's all right. You two haven't seen each other in a week, you
should hang together tonight."Lea says.
"Thanks hone. I really owe you one,"
"Well, I better get going. I've gotta pick up a book for English. The
Pigman, I think."
"I have two words for ya babe" Robert says, "It sucks!"
"Thanks. . .I think." She says walking down the stadium steps.

Robert and I walk to meet the blonde duo. Talking about what else, but
what we are going to do tonight.
"Can we watch The ring?" Robert asks. "I wanna see If I can get Tyler to
sit in my lap."
"Jeez, you must've been in hell this last week. Not being able to see me.
What are you going to do to him?" I ask, genuinely concerned.
"Nothing, I just want to hold him. And you say I'm always the one who's
in the gutter?"
"Just shut-up. We're almost there. And we'll see what they want to do
first."
"Fine, just forget about the boyfriend that you've had forever, and the
one who gave you those rings you're wearing. It's okay." He begins a fake
whimper.
"Oh gods. Don't do that, you know I love you."
"Oh I know. I just wanted to give you a hard time babe."
"Hey, there they are. Look how close they're sitting."
"I know, do you think we were like that."
"Dude, before I came out to you, you were practically sitting on my lap
every day. Not that I minded."
"Okay so I admit I was a bit. . .of a lap dog?"
"Haha! Dude king of bad jokes."
"Shut-up and let's go get the babes."

Josh and Tyler come running over, saving us the foot work. I didn't feel
like running anyway. I finally get to see how cute Tyler is up close. His
fine blonde hair glistens in the sunlight, the sweet little nose. And
then, that smile. The smile, that I remember from the Christmas party,
and the little see-food moment. Which was I think inspired by his father.
Beside that he has got the cutest butt I have yet to find on a
ten-year-old.
"Hey, I remember you."Tyler yells.
"What's up see-food boy?" I come back with.
"Okay, don't go there."
"C'mon, let's go. Robert and I were thinking that maybe we could watch
The Ring tonight?"
"Sounds good to me Ty? What d'you think?" Josh says.
"I dunno, I heard it was really scary." Tyler responds.
"You'll have the two of us there, if that helps any." Robert says. Hoping
to build on Tyler a bit.
"Well I guess I could watch it, just as long as you don't mind if I
scream a lot."
"I guess I could deal with that you little wimp."
"All right I've had enough of you Scott." Ty says, then after jumping on
my back. Trying to choke me. I swing him around to my front, holding him
tightly in my arms.
"Hey, let go. Josh! Help!" Josh runs up to me looking me in the eye and
then everything goes bad. He starts to tickle my sides. The little jerk
knows how to kill me slowly. I let go of Tyler and grab Josh, while still
walking on. Josh squirms in my arms. He wraps his legs around me trying
to scissors me. But I feel a little prodding going on,
"Ahem, Josh if you don't stop, I'm gonna tell Tyler about what little
Josh is doing. . ."I whisper to him. He smiles and wraps tighter around
me. He lays his head on my shoulder and I decide to carry him the rest of
the way. I look at Tyler as I carry Josh, he looks happy yet a bit sad.I
pull Josh aside as we get in the door.
"Josh. Would you mind sitting with Robert tonight?" I ask.
"No, but why?"
"You should have seen the way he looked at me a few minutes ago. I just
want him to feel okay around me. I don't want him to be sad. We have all
the time in the world, and it's just one night."
"Scott. I told you it was fine. Just don't do anything weird to him. I'm
not sure if he'll like it."
"I promise. Now go get some popcorn from the pantry. The kettle corn."
"Yes!"
I go up to my room where Robert and Tyler wait. Tyler sits on my bed with
his feet dangling over Roberts shoulders.
"Already comfortable are we?"I ask, observing the obvious bulge in
Roberts shorts.
"Oh yeah"! Robert returns. As I sit down next to Tyler, Josh walks in.
