			    Chapter Forty Four

With all of us helping, it didn't really take very long to get what Jimmy
wanted to take with him. He just said, between sobs, that nothing here
really meant much to him. Everyone knew how unhappy he had been living
here.

There was a box of garbage bags in the hall closet, and we used them. We
just took all of Jimmy's clothes, threw them in the bags, and started
hauling them out to the car. Jimmy did insist that we take his stereo and
CD's, along with a few other personal things he valued. He did take one
picture taken maybe four or five years ago of his mother, father, brother,
and himself. They were all smiling with their arms around each other. He
said that was one of the last times they had all been happy together. It
really made everyone else sad.

We quickly loaded up, thankful for the extra space in back of each
vehicle. Jimmy's mother never even came back out to tell him
goodbye. Maybe, it was better that way.

Jimmy was a wreck. He wouldn't even talk to Paul. Here he was, 15, and
kicked out of his house. He was petrified with fear. I knew now wasn't a
time to try and talk to him, so I just concentrated on getting home as
quickly as I could.

When we all pulled in, I told the others to just put everything of Jimmy's
in the basement for now, and then told Jimmy and Paul to come with me into
my bedroom. They did, but Jimmy was still in a daze. I shut the door and
locked it, then walked over and pulled Jimmy to me. I hugged him tight, and
said, "Jimmy, everything is going to be fine. You are going to live with
all of us from now on. You and Paul will be able to share a bedroom from
now on."

He finally looked up at me and said, "Are you sure?"

"Positive, if that is what you want. I love Paul and Ed. I want what is
best for them. I think you are what is best for Paul. I can see in his eyes
how much he loves you. I can also see how much you love him, too. You seem
to love each other more today than you did even yesterday. Your mother has
said she will sign the necessary paperwork making me your legal guardian,
if that is what you want me to do. Is it?" I asked gently.

"Yeah. More than anything. I really do love Paul," Jimmy said.

"I love him, too, Dad. I love you, too," Paul said, hugging both of us.

Dad? That was the first time Paul had ever called me that. It felt
right. It felt GREAT!!!

"But, where will Jimmy and I sleep?" Paul asked.

"The only thing I can think of for now is to finally get the basement
re-done. We can make two pretty good sized bedrooms out of the space, but
they would have to share the bathroom. That shouldn't be a problem. I will
just buy new bedroom furniture for the two rooms, and get rid of the old
sofa bed. You guys can have your choice of rooms, either upstairs or down,"
I answered.

"I think we will want the one in the basement, next to the door," Paul
said, laughing.

"I don't want to know why, OK?" I said, also laughing.

"Thanks for taking me in. I don't know what I would do if you hadn't done
this for me," Jimmy said.

"No need to thank me. I have already told you why I did it. I think I
already love you some, too. I am sure that my love will just grow as we
live together. I want you to think of yourself as one of my sons, just like
Robbie, Paul, and Ed. I now have at least four sons, OK? Maybe, more. Don't
know quite how to count Isaiah yet, but he and Ed seem to really love each
other. I also love Tim and Tom. Maybe I have seven new sons. That doesn't
even take into consideration Matt, Mike, Keith, Mark, and Alex. They may
just be cousins. Hehehe. And now, Paul has just brought in two more
straight kids into the mix. It is hard just to keep up with who is here,
and who isn't," I answered, laughing.

"I know. It does get confusing here, at times. I am just glad Ed and I live
here, Dad, and we both love you. Jimmy loves you, too, don't you, Jimmy?"
Paul asked.

There's "Dad" again. I got a little taller, as my heart sped up.

"Yeah, I do. I really do. Nobody has loved me for a long time. You could
see that meeting my Mom. My ex-Mom. I think I really need you to love
me. You and Paul both," Jimmy said, leaking a few more tears.

"Well, you won't have to worry about that here," I answered, pulling Jimmy
to me again and hugging him tightly. "I don't know any place where you will
feel more love than here. We all do love each other. We support each
other. We really do try to be one big happy family," I answered.

"I know. I have felt it, while I have been around all of you. All of you
stood up to me when you told me you were all gay at the studio. I wished
then I could have been part of the group," Jimmy said.

"Well, you are now. You are part of our family. I wish it could be in
better circumstances, but you can't always choose your path in life, you
know? All I know is that I am happy you are part of our family," I
answered.

"Me, too," Jimmy said, as he hugged me.

"Me, too, Dad," Paul said as he hugged both of us.

DAD again. Love that.

"Stan, Paul calls you Dad. Do you mind if I do too?" Jimmy asked.

"No, that would make me feel really good," I answered.

"Great. Me, too," Jimmy answered.

Jimmy, Paul, and I really bonded right then. We knew we all loved each
other, and would do whatever was necessary to make Jimmy's life with us,
and especially with Paul, successful.

                                                ***************************

Nate and Brian were walking around the pool, getting to know each other.

"Brian, how do you get along with all these guys? It is kind of weird to
me, being around all these gay people. I haven't ever known any before
now."

"I know. Jimmy never told me he was gay, but I thought so. He is my best
friend, and if anyone would know, I would, right? We have been writing
music together for several years. We are really tight, you understand?"
Brian asked.

"Yeah. I do. Can I ask you a personal question?" Nate asked.

"Sure."

"You and Jimmy ever do anything together?" Nate asked.

Brian reddened quickly. "Yeah, we jacked off together a few times. That
isn't exactly queer stuff, though. I didn't touch him, and he didn't touch
me. I'm not queer, you know."

"Hey, calm down. I didn't say that, did I? I was just curious," Nate
answered.

"OK, cool," Brian said, calming down quickly. "OK, you asked me. You ever
done anything with anybody?"

"No, nothing. I am kind of shy about things like that, you know? I'm not
gay, either," Nate said.

"Well, you seem like a nice guy. I guess it will be up to me and you to
keep all the gay guys straight around here, you know?" Brian said.

"Keep the gay guys straight? We are the straight guys. They are the gay
guys. I think it is a little too late to keep them straight," Nate kidded.

"You know what I mean," Brian said, as he playfully pushed Brian away from
him. Both boys started laughing, pushing each other back and forth. A new
friendship had just started.

                                                ***************************

"Guys, what are we going to do? David was both our engineer and our
agent. Now, we don't have either one," Isaiah said. Isaiah, Ed, Robbie,
Phill, Tim and Tom were all sitting in the den, talking about what had just
happened.

"I am sure that Brian can run any of the recording equipment. Keith has
already said we could use the studio anytime we wanted to. Jimmy has his
own key. Keith's family owns several studios. Maybe Keith could help find
us another agent," Phill said.

"Why are you always thinking about Keith?" Robbie asked angrily.

"I am not always thinking about Keith. He knows lots of show business
people. Who else does any of us know that might could help us? You have
any better ideas?" Phill almost yelled back.

Robbie just stared back at him, his anger plain on his face. "I just feel
like sometimes you wish you were back with him," Robbie said, getting up
and walking to the other side of the room.

"Come on, guys, don't fight. Phill was just thinking about getting us an
agent. That's all," Ed said.

"I am just tired of Keith always coming between us," Robbie yelled, turning
around and facing everyone.

"What's that supposed to mean? I told him I loved you. I told him I wanted
to be with you. What more can I do? We broke up last night for good. What
do you want from me, anyway?" Phill yelled back, also standing up.

"Right now, not a damn thing," Robbie said, walking a step closer to Phill,
his face getting redder.

Ed and Isaiah couldn't believe their eyes and ears. They looked at each
other, then quickly got to their feet and made sure that they were in
between Phill and Robbie, who looked like they were about to get into a
fist fight with each other. "Stop it! Stop it right now!" Ed yelled. "You
both love each other. Quit acting like you are enemies."

Just then, Paul, Jimmy, and I ran out of my bedroom to see what all the
yelling was about.

"Why don't you just go home and call Keith, Phill? I know you want to hear
his voice so badly," Robbie said loudly.

"I might just do that," Phill said, walking to the door. "Come on, Tim and
Tom. I think maybe we need to spend a little more time at home. The
‘rents are starting to get on our backs about it as it is."

"Maybe you need to spend a lot of time at home," Robbie said.

Phill just stopped in his tracks, and then slowly turned to face
Robbie. "Is that the way you want it?"

"For now, it is," Robbie said.

"Fine. Guys, call me when you want to practice, OK?" Phill said, as he
walked out the door, followed by his two brothers.

Robbie just turned and ran up the stairs to his room, slamming the door
behind him. Everyone watched the two of them go their separate ways with
their mouths hanging open.

Saturday would be the first night that Phill and Robbie had not slept
together, other than school nights, since they first met. Both of them
would have lots of trouble getting to sleep.

                                                ****************************

"Ericson residence."

"Yes, this is Phill Palmer. May I speak to Keith, please?" Phill asked.

"Master Keith is with his friend Elijah. We don't expect him back until
late tonight. Could I give him a message?"

"Yes, please tell him to call me at home," Phill answered. "Thank you. Good
bye."

Phill sat down on his bed and thought about the last few months. No
boyfriend. Then Keith. Then moving to the US. Then finding and falling in
love with Robbie.

Had they broken up earlier today? He had no idea. The argument had come on
so suddenly that he had no time to think, both he and Robbie had both just
reacted to what the other was saying. Phill KNEW he loved Robbie, more
than anything. So, why couldn't he just go over and tell Robbie he was
sorry and beg him to forgive him.

Simple answer, really. Pride!!! Phill didn't feel he had done anything
wrong. All he had done is suggest calling Keith about an agent. What was
wrong with that? Nothing!!! And Robbie had gone crazy over that tiny little
detail.

`Well, maybe a little time away from Robbie will make us both miss the
other so much that we will have to get back together,` Phill thought to
himself. He decided to just go to bed early and maybe things would be
better tomorrow.

                                                 ****************************

"Robbie, don't you think you are blowing this totally out of proportion?" I
asked.

"Stan, this has been coming on for a long time. I really love Phill, but he
just can't seem to get over Keith," Robbie answered.

Ed and Isaiah were sharing Ed's bed, Paul and Jimmy were sleeping on the
couch downstairs, and Brian and Nate were sleeping in Robbie's room, so
Robbie had crawled into bed with me. I lay there holding him to me, and
trying to get him out of his funk.

Holding him in bed was kind of like the old days. Who was I kidding? All of
our lives had totally changed lately. Nothing would ever be the same again.

"All he did was say maybe Keith could help find an agent. He didn't say he
wanted to sleep with Keith. Be reasonable, will you?" I said.

"So, now you are his side?" Robbie said, as he tried to pull away from me.

I applied more pressure and didn't let him go. "Robbie, quit! You know I
wouldn't be against you in anything. I love you, and you know it. Now, quit
struggling and listen. Phill loves you. You love him. Everyone gets into
arguments. This is your first, but it won't be your last. That is a fact in
any relationship. How long you stay together depends of how quickly you can
get over being mad at each other. Why not just go over and talk to him in
the morning?" I asked.

"Stan, I love you, OK? OK, I love Phill, too. I just don't want to talk
about it right now. I get so crazy jealous, I can't stand it. All I want to
do is go to sleep right now. Please! I will talk to you in the morning, all
right?" Robbie said, as he turned away from me.

There wasn't much more I could do tonight. If Robbie wouldn't talk about
it, I certainly couldn't make him. Robbie pulling away from me was
something he had never done before, and I knew I really shouldn't press the
issue right now. I reluctantly turned out the light and tried to go to
sleep.

Sleep wouldn't come for either of us for a long time that night. We both
constantly tossed and turned. We were both worried about the same thing.

                                                *****************************

"Ready to go to bed?" Brian asked.

"Yeah, I am pretty beat," Nate replied, as he sat down and started to take
off his shoes.

"Me, too. I am kind of worried about Phill and Robbie. I haven't known them
that long, but they seemed to really be in love. I couldn't believe they
were yelling at each other loud enough that we could hear them outside,"
Brian said, also sitting on the bed and removing his own shoes.

I really don't know them very well at all. I know Paul better than anyone
else. I do hope they get back together, though," Nate said.

"Yeah, me too. They are both really nice guys," Brian said, as he stood up
and started taking off his shirt.

"Think we should lock the door?" Nate asked, as he also stood up.

"Lock it? Why?" Brian answered.

"Well, we are in a house with nothing but gay guys," Nate said. "Except for
us."

Brian just laughed. "Nate, it doesn't work that way. I have slept in the
same bed with Jimmy for years. Both at his house and mine. We are best
friends. No one is going to barge in here at night and rape us."

Nate laughed with him. "Yeah, I know you are right. OK, stupid
comment. Don't tell them I even said that, OK?"

"I promise. Otherwise, we might be out our first roadie. I don't think they
would find that very amusing after what has happened today, do you?" Brian
asked, as he opened the front of his blue jeans and stepped out of them.

"No, I doubt that they would," Brian said, as he also removed his pants.

"Nice underwear, man. I really like Joe Boxer boxers. I have a couple of
pair at home," Brian said.

"Thanks. I had to buy them with my own money. My Mom refuses to spend this
much on underwear," Nate said modestly, looking at the ground.

The guys both slipped into bed, dressed in just their boxers, and Nate
turned out the light. "Night."

"Night, Nate. Maybe we can help get everything back to normal in the
morning," Brian answered.

(Young guys out there, please read this!!!! I met a str8 woman high school
teacher when she wrote to me about my story. Her name or why she is
following the story is not important. What is important is her experiences
with a stalker. This is what she wrote.

I met a guy on the computer about 3 yrs ago. (I know I know..stupid)
Anyway.. we got close, he came to visit, the first two visits (1 week in
June and 2 weeks in Sept) were excellent, the third visit (3 months
Oct-Jan)he proposed. I accepted..then he moved here to try to find a job.

I don't know if he thought that once I had a ring on my finger I was
trapped in or what, but he quickly changed into this mean person who liked
to intimidate and threaten me. He was definitely NOT the person that I had
fallen in love with. He was very ugly to me and continues to be that way
to this day even if it is from afar.

He has done anything and everything to embarrass me in my work place and
with my family all for revenge. He went so far as to send a several
letters to my employer sharing with them the most intimate details of our
relationship. The last episode was just last week when he hacked into my
sister's server at the company where she works and sent pornographic email
cards to everyone on her staff from the two of us.

Needless to say I am tired of looking over my shoulder and would dearly
love for things to go back to how they use to be but unfortunately I got
myself into this so I guess I deserve it in a way.

I've decided I enjoy being on my own and so I guess I shall stay this way.

Why did I want you to read this? Sorry, soapbox time!!! Anyone you meet on
the internet can pretend to be anything they want to be. They can tell you
they are 15 and may be 45. They may pretend to be your friend, then lure
you out to a place where they can do anything they want to you. There are
cases like this in the paper all the time. Be careful who you agree to
meet, or just keep your relationship net only, OK? Lot of bad people out
there!! End of soapbox.)
