CHAPTER 5
SOLID FRIENDSHIP

     After leaving the lake from swimming we figured to go bike riding
some more so i could show Rick more thing's around town.

     "Jimmy," Rick say's after we are down the road a way's." What is it
you want Rick?

     "I just wanted to ask if you know what is playing at the movie's
this weekend?" Said Rick.

     " I don't know off the top of my head." Jimmy say's to Rick as he
look's over toward's him.

     " Well if there is something worth seeing i thought we could go, if
you wanted." Rick state's as they turn onto the hard-topped road at the
end of the dirt road.

     "Sure." Jimmy say's. I would love to go to the movies with you Rick.

     "Great." Ricks say's with that sweet looking smile on his face.

     "Sound's like a plan to me baby!" Jimmy smile's in return.

     "So, where are we going now?" "Somewhere that is neat i hope?" Rick
says in a very sincere voice. I'm sure that there must be a lot of those
around here. Rick look's towards Jimmy.

     "Sure there is a lot of neat place's we could go." Jimmy reply's. We
have some nice museum's we could go to, or the old railroad tracks the
other side of town, with a bridge over the river that is way cool.

     "Wow!" Rick say's. Lets go over to the track's and go over the
bridge Jimmy."

     "Ok." We can sure do that Jimmy say's. "But first i think we need to
go by your house and make sure we can stay out a while longer." Don't you
think that would be a good idea Rick?"

     "Yeah," That is a great idea Jimmy. That way we can also grap a
soft-drink, i'm thirsty, aren't you? Rick say's.

     "Yes." I sure am as a matter of fact," All of that swimming and fun
we had can sure make a guy thirsty." Jimmy laughs over at Rick.

     So we head back to the house to see if Rick's rent's want him for
enything and if we can stay out and head over to the track's and bridge i
want to show him. Jimmy think's to himself as they arrive at Rick's house

     "Hi Mom and Dad." Rick yell's as we go through the door." We are in
the kitchen Rick, his Mom yell's back.

     "We see them sitting at the kitchen table drinking some kind of hot
drink." "So where have you two been?" His Dad ask's.

     "Jimmy showed me this great swimming place." Rick say's to his
parent's. It was just a small swimming hole but was real nice for
swimming, Rick smile's over to me. And i have to really hold it in to
keep from laughing out loud. "Just kidding Mom and Dad." Rick say's. "It
really is a big lake that is way down this dirt road, and it has
beautiful whitesand beache's.

     "Well it sure sounds like a nice place Rick." His Dad say's to his
one and only son. "You guy's will have to take us there some weekend
before the summer is over."

     "Sure Dad." That would be nice." For all of us, Jimmy and his
parents to go for a picnic and swim." Rick reply's to his Dad.

     "Well just let us know sometime in the next few weekend's." His Dad
say's. "Your mother and I would really love to met Jimmy's parent's."

     "No problem Dad." Rick say's back. "Hey Dad, Mom, we came back to
ask if there was enything you needed." If not, Jimmy was going to show me
around some more, if that is ok?

     "No, we don't need you right now Rick." But don't stay gone for more
than  a few more hour's." We might be going out for dinner later. His Dad
say's.

     "Ok," We can manage that i guess, if we must, Ricks say's with his
cute face all lit up with that smile of his." His parent's smile back at
their smart aleck son.

     "So." What do you think Rick? Is this place cool or what? Jimmy
say's.

     "Id say it is Jimmy." Rick say's as he look's at the bridge crossing
the ORION RIVER.
     "This is so cool, Jimmy." Rick state's as they start riding their
bike's onto the track's to head toward's the bridge just over a half mile
away.

     "I just can't believe how much i already love this guy that i've
just met and who is my new boyfriend." Jimmy thinks as they continue on
to the bridge. "I feel like i've known him for all my life and that i'm
sure he feel's the same toward's me, least i sure do hope so." We sure do
seem to have a solid friendship for such a short time.
