The Rose that Grew from Concrete- Part 1 - The Inception
----

Wow, America... im nearly there, just a few more steps through these gates
and Im in America. I can't believe it, ive waited my whole life to come
here, althought that has not exactly been a very long time, indeed. See, my
story goes a little something like this, My name Skyler Jones, im 13 years
old, im from Australia, and i've come to the US in search of my father.

In 1992, an American Coast Guard was touring Australia, learning from one
of the worlds elite water tactical units, he had been down under for
several weeks already and had not even gone outside of base camp. And so
the story goes, one fateful night, the American was coerced by one of his
fellow team members to pursue a night of heavy drinking at a local pub. Dad
met Mum, Mum got pregnant, Dad had to leave for America, 9 months later,
mini Sky was born into the world. But the labour didn't go so well, my
mother died due to complications, and I was sent to an orphanage. Since the
day of my birth, I have travelled between orphanage, to foster home, back
to orphange, round and round in circles. Infact, it wasn't until my 13th
birthday day, that I was adopted. The story following is an account of how
I made it here to this American airport, 13 years old, and the story that
proceeds.

-----------------------------

Father Simmons sat me down in front of his desk, looked at me sternly,
moved his head forward slowly towards mine until his nose was nearly
touching mine. "It seems we have found a permanent home for you, Mister
Jones," the elderly man had this eery sense about him that made you quiver
when you looked up at him, "I trust that you know full well to keep our
little secret, just that, a secret, Skyler?" I nodded my head fiercly. He
put his hand over mine, then directed me to come around and sit upon his
knee, facing him.

"Because if you were to ever tell anybody, Skyler, do you remember what
would happen to you?" He continued to the boy, shaking on his
knee. "Y..y.yes sir, I would go to hell and pay a thousand lifetimes of
punishment by the devil himself, sir."

"Good boy, your new parents are going to come to pick you up tomorrow, and
then I will never see you again. Would you like to make God happy this last
time, Skyler?" He asked the young boy, pointing towards a hidden door
located to the left on the wall. The door looked just like the wall, except
there was a small lever, that was shaped into the floor beside it that
looked just like everything else in the room, which was basically all just
Wood and Cast Iron fixtures, all black * mahogany in colour.

"Yes sir, I will do it if it makes God happy, sir." The boy got up from
Father Simmons knee, and made his way towards to door, twisted the lever,
and opened the door, stepping inside with the Father at his heels, as he
had done so many times before.

-----------------------------

"Well Hello Mr and Mrs Mitchell, how are you this fine, beautiful morning?"
Exclaimed a gleeful old man, Father Simmons, as he was known. "Extremely
happy, sir, we've not slept all night in anticipation of meeting our future
son!" Gleemed the gentleman, who recently had celebrated his 35th
birthday. Jet black hair, and dark brown eyes, with a lean figure, and very
handsome face, he looked to be of Spanish origins, wearing what looked to
be a casual, but elegant clothing, hinting that this man may very well be
wealthy.

"When can we see him Father, we are so excited, and cannot wait another
second, the suspence is killing me!" A lady of, again about mid 30's, long
blonde hair and bright blue eyes, asked the elderly man. Father Simmons,
leading the couple towards the mess hall, asked the couple numerous
questions along the way. Ashley & Vincent, their names, told father
Simmons, that they were infact wealthy, Vincent owned a very successful
business specializing in Exporting exotic sea foods to places like France,
Italy, among other places. "Australia exports the worlds greatest Lobster,
and im filty rich because of it," he laughed, "The lobster tastes so great,
I will send you a package as soon as we arive home so you can sample the
true bliss that God created."

"I would like that very much, Mr. Mitchell, but i have everything I need
right here, God's roof over my head, food and water, and a group of
children that I can teach and love as my own, that is, until they are taken
to new families, and new lives." The Father looked sideways at the couple,
secretly wishing the devil to jump out of the floor and gobble them for
taking away his favourite boy. The boy who would submit to any kind of
behaviour of Gods will.

"How dare they take my boy away again? I have other boys, but none can
please God the way that young Skyler can. I had plunged my thick pole into
that beautiful love hole of his, and suckled on that hairless piece of
heaven on earth, since he was just a little boy, and now it was all being
taken away from me by a guy who smells like fish! Well, okay, he smells
like Hugo Boss perfume, but still!" Simmons said in his head, as he walked
into the mess hall to find Skyler Jones, all tidied up, with a neat suit
on, his hair slicked up, and smelling clean and fresh, you know, that
heavenly smell that little boys get when they come out of the
shower. Needless to say, Simmons had to 'help' the boy prepare, in the
shower and getting dressed, of course... ehem.

"Well, Mr & Mrs Mitchell, this is your new son, Skyler... Skyler, these are
your new parents, Ashley and Vincent Mitchell, say hello Skyler!"

Upon arriving at the waterfront home owned by the Mitchells, Sky was shown
the property, expanding far beyond his point of view. The beautiful ocean
waves crashing at the front, the endless view of hills covered with grass
and a dashing of trees here and there overwhelmed the boy, but not as much
as his first glance inside the palace like house in which his foster
parents lead him.

Like something out of a movie, the house was amazing! It sparkled white
with silver furnishings. Above the marble flooring a gleaming chandelier
suspended from the ceiling, beyond which was a stair case on each side of
the room, twisting its way up towards the second floor. After touring the
house, which took nearly and hour and a half, the Mitchells lead Skyler
into what was to be his bedroom.

A four post kingsize bed was the center attraction of the room, each side
accompanied by a bed side table. A desk was set up with a computer, there
was a dresser with a large mirror, the biggest television Skyler had ever
seen, something beyond his wildest imagination even. There were two doors,
one leading into his own walk-in closet that could have been a bedroom in
itself! The second leading into his own private bathroom, and this wasnt
just a bathroom, it was a Master Bathroom equiped with furnishings, a large
Jacuzzi, a whole wall mirror in front of which was a large counter with
cupboards and a sink embedded. Off of this was yet another room! This was
the shower room, it had three shower heads and the walls were mirrors
also. This kind of fazed Skyler, as he didnt really understand why he'd
need three shower heads. These rich people must be crazy!

"So what do you think, Skyler?" Mrs. Mitchell curiously asked the
boy. "This is ridiculous, but non-the-less amazing!" Was about all Skyler
could manage. Never had he dreamed about such a place. Such a beautiful
place. After living in cheap homes and the orphanage all his life, this a
huge emotional shock to Sky and he felt a tear slide down his cheek.

Ashley Mitchell held her new son as he weeped. She was overjoyed, yet sad,
she knew exactly why the boy was crying. Not because he was upset, but
because he was truely happy for once. And it was not about the expensive
house, and all the money, Skyler sensed that these two people would love
him dearly, he could just feel it in his heart.

Thanks for reading. I know nothing terribly exciting has happened thus far
and it was rather short, but Im working towards something big that cant
even start to be described in the first chapter, the scenery needs to be
set first. I want to know peoples reactions to this chapter before I
continue. I have big plans for this story, and they do not include 'quick
release' formulas. There hasnt been much hint about another boy so far, but
this story will develop into a dedication the love shared between two
boys. Please send me your comments and criticism's to ** thebakinsnayk at
