I will write it as close to as it actually happened as I can. My memories have faded some what from when I was younger. But looking back at my life I'd say it was pretty eventful. :P These events will start back when I was 9 almost 10 and we will go from there. I'm 9 years old, turning 10 in less then 2 months!! Summer has just started and I just finished grade 4. I'm so excited for the summer. I am going to sports camp with my best friend Eric. He aslo recently got a swimming pool as well and I love to swim!! I'm also going to camp two different times throughout the summer with my family. There is so much to look forward to and I just can't wait for all the fun I am going to have this summer. So I guess I should tell you a little bit about myself. You already know how old I am but I guess I should tell you I have red hair and lots of freckles on my arms. Just your average kid I guess. I must say I really hate my hair colour, lots of people make fun of it or make jokes about it :( I live in a small town in the province of Ontario in Canada. I have always lived here, but I often make trips to the USA because I have cousins and distant family there. We often vacation there too. It is a lot of fun! My best friend Eric is a year younger then me, well kinda his birthday is only 6 months or so after mine but it is in the next year after I was born. I was born in 1989 and he was born in 1990. So he just finished grade 3 and is 8 turning 9 in like 8 months. Me and him met because our parents are really good friends and we both go to the same church. So today is July 1st which means it's Canada day! Which also means fireworks!!! YAY! I love fireworks. When was a lot younger I was terrified of them though because they were so loud :( But now that I'm much older I love them :) Eric's family and mine are going to get together to watch the fireworks down at the river. I guess I should telly you about my family. I have an older sister she loves to pick on me nd call me names and I hate it! My older sister's name is Stephanie. I also have a younger sister and brother. Their names are Diana and Greg. My older sister is 5 years older then me, my younger sister is 3 years younger then me and my little brother is 5 years younger then me. Eric has two younger sisters. They get along well with my younger sister and brother. ********** So right now Eric's family has just arrived at my house to meet up before we head to the fireworks. Eric decided to come with me and my parents and my younger brother and younger sister Decided to go with Eric's sister's and his parents. "So are you excited to come over to my place and try out our new swimming pool?" Eric asked. "Of course I can't wait it will be so much fun!" I replied. "You ready for sports camp next week?" I asked. "Yea it will be fun, and my mom said you can come over after camp to swim." "That should be great, we will be all hot and sweaty from sports camp then we can go to your place and cool off." "It's going to be so much fun dude. Plus man I have to show you something really cool I discovered the other day when I was swimming." "What do you mean? Like playing a game or something while we swim?" I asked a little confused about what he was talking about. "Well not really, I don't know how to explain it but man its really awesome!" "Ok if you say so." ********** We had a great time at the fireworks that night, me and Eric sat on our own blanket and just chatted about all the things we wanted to do this summer. It was a great way to kick off the summer. Eric ended up spending the night, we stayed up until 2am watching tv and talking. This was going to be the best summer ever! I just had an amazing feeling about this summer :) ********** Well everyone I know this was a pretty boring introduction chapter but I had to get it out of the way to get things rolling and introduce the characters.
