Terry Madigan sat on the sun lounger looking out over the crystal clear
sea, the soft summer breeze played lightly with his graying hair. Terry had
decided to take a Holliday for the first time in over five years; his two
boys now had enough knowledge too keep the motel running while he was away.

Terry had always loved the sea and his passion for fishing had never been
lost. He had planned the break away for the end of the official Holliday
season to avoid the crush of vacationers that normally jammed the beaches
at this time of year.

All his life, Terry had been very independent and had made his own
decisions and gone his own way, only the love he had felt for his now, long
departed wife, could have changed any course he had set himself, but now he
had what he had always wanted, two sons, two boys of his own, ok so they
were a little different and he had no hope of grandkids from them but, they
loved each other and seemed to have a special place in their young hearts
for Terry as well.

In the six months since the break up of the small gang of boy traffickers,
Terry had watched his boys grow and meet the challenges of a normal life,
Fore, now Terry Jr. had taken to the running of the Motel as though he had
been born too it and the guest list had improved noticeably as his
reputation for friendliness and efficiency had grown.

Stewart had returned to school and had settled well into the familiar
routines of school life as well as his accounting skills at the
Motel. While Terry Snr. did not fully understand the physical side of his
boys love for each other, he never doubted their devotion for a minute.

The little touches and looks, exchanged between his boys, often gave Terry
a warm feeling deep in the pit of his stomach as he watched them. The small
groups of friends from the Force had become close friends and were constant
visitors to the home of the three.

Fore had insisted that the end room, the one first taken by himself and
Stewart, be permanently reserved for Ivan and Peter too use when they came
visiting. Nate was often seen sitting at their breakfast table three or
four days a week where he still tried to apologize for being nearly too
late too rescue the boys on their last adventure.

The severe damage done too Fore's rectum had taken close to a month too
heal and Stewarts frenetic pandering had nearly driven him to despair as he
tried to calm his little Babes and tell him he was ok.

Milly had been transferred to another station that was quieter but allowed
her to be back where she liked the most, on the street among real
people. She had visited once since the reassignment and had seemed content
with her new posting.

Terry let his mind wander too the next important event in his unusual
families life, next Saturday was Stewarts fifteenth birthday and he had
been conspiring with Fore too give Stewart a very special birthday party.

A small smile flitted across Terry's lips as he thought of the plans being
put into action by his number one son. Stewart was in for the surprise of
his life when the big day came around.

`Never thought I would see this day, my own son being fifteen, biggest day
of his life, well all boys lives I suppose, I hope that bloody dealer gets
it right and Fore can keep his mouth closed that long.'

Terry's cell phone buzzed on the table beside him.

`Damn thing, how did that boy ever talk me into having one of these things,
bloody phones.'

Terry picked it up and placed it close to his ear.

"Yeah?"

"Hey Pop's, getting any old maids in trouble?"

"Cheeky little bugger, why the hell I adopted you I'll never know, what is
it number one son?"

"Just got a call from the Dealer, everything is on track, Babes is going to
love it."

"Good, now you haven't told him I'm coming home early, have you?"

"Awe come on Pop's, would I spoil it for him?"

"The way you play up too him, yeah you would."

"Hey no fair, I'm a good boy I am."

"Yeah, when you're asleep, and even then I'm not sure."

"Oh Pop's, you're a hard ass."

"Yep, and don't you forget it, now have you set it all up with the others?"

"Yes everything is taken care of, they'll arrive at 6 o'clock on Saturday
evening. What are you going too tell him when you come back early?"

"I'll just say I was bored and wanted too see my boys, you haven't let on
that we know it's his birthday, have you?"

"Nah, I think he's getting a bit miffed about me being so dense, he almost
got a bit shitty with me last night but I managed to soften him up after a
bit."

"Yeah I can imagine how you did that."

"POP'S, that's nasty."

"Just keep my sheets clean my boy."

"POP'S."

Terry chuckled as he switched off the phone and lay back again into the
softness of the lounger, the sun sent its warmth down onto his bare chest
as his eyes closed and a sigh of satisfaction and contentment issued from
his smiling lips.

`To think that less than a year ago I was contemplating spending the rest
of my life alone, ahh those boys are a breath of life, gay or not, they are
still my life line.'

Terry's eyes closed as he relaxed and let the freshness of the salt air
seep into his nostrils and the sun warm his skin, the faint scent of fresh
flowers from the garden below the wooden decking wafted upwards to immerse
his surroundings in peace and tranquility.

***************************************

Fore looked up from his task at the desk just as the family car pulled up
in front of the office door, the look of exhaustion clear on the faces of
the harried parents as two twin boys in the back seat wrestled and yelled
in their impatience to leave the confines of the car after an obviously
long trip.

This type of event was food to Fore, the challenge of making the parents
relax while he settled the boys down was his specialty. Fore put on his
brightest smile as the frantic parents tried to control the uncontrollable
twins.

The father came inside with a look of total resignation on his harassed
face, Fore smiled wider as the man approached the desk.

"Good Morning, Mr. Carstairs isn't it, I've got everything ready for you,
if you could just sign the book and I'll take you too your rooms."

"Ahh, uhm, yes...yes, I'm Carstairs, sorry about those boys, look if you
think they're going to be too much for the Motel, I can always try
somewhere else, they're a bloody handful most times and a lot of places get
a bit anti about them."

"No, Mr. Carstairs, they won't be a problem, would you like me to have a
quiet word with them, might settle them down if a stranger chats to them?"

"Ahm, well thank you...ahh?"

"Terry, Terry Madigan Jr. my Pop owns the motel so anything I can do too
make you stay better is what I'm here for."

"Thank you Terry, Ahm, aren't you a bit young to be running a Motel?"

Fore gave a chuckle and winked at Mr. Carstairs.

"Got too start somewhere Mr. Carstairs, now would you like me to chat with
the boys, being close to the same age as them sometimes helps."

"Would you, you don't mind do you, they are such a handful after a long
trip."

"No trouble at all, just drop them off here while you and Mrs. Carstairs go
too your room, I'll bring them down when you've both had time to unwind."

"Terry, you truly are a marvel, everything I've heard about this motel is
coming true, I'll just go and get the boys out of the car, and it is ok,
isn't it?"

"As I said, no problems at all, I'm sure I can get them too settle down for
you."

Fore handed over the room key and then walked around the desk as Carstairs
returned to the car, the battling twins continued with the rambunctious
behavior as he tried to drag them apart long enough to get them out of the
car.

The boys looked to be about eight years old and, while not totally
identical, were close enough to be obviously twins. Mr. Carstairs had only
one option left to separate them so, with an ear in each hand he led the
boys towards the reception area.

"Well Terry, now you see what they can be like, are you sure you want to
take this on?"

"Sure."

Fore turned to the boys and knelt down to their level, putting his hand out
towards then in a gesture too shake their small slim hands.

"Hey guys, who's who?"

A look of mistrust came over the small boys faces as they stared at bigger
teen kneeling in front of them.

"Ok, I Terry, like you Dad just said, did you know that you two have to
sign the book to stay in the Motel?"

The two shrill high pitched voices spoke as one.

"We never had to do it before, why now?"

"Because you're bigger now and the law says you have too sign in just like
grown ups."

The duet spoke again.

"Really, just like the grown ups?"

"Yep, now what names do I have to put in the book?"

The boy with a freckled nose pointed to his brother.

"He's Simon."

Simon pointed to his brother.

"He's Paul and a pain in my butt."

"You're a pain in my butt."

"No I'm not, you are."

"Am not, you are."

Fore watched the typical blame swapping of two brothers and decided to call
a halt to what was apparently an ongoing form of settling who was the boss
and who was the follower. Fore looked up at Mr. Cartsairs and gave a small
nod of his head in the direction of the car, the obvious look of thanks was
plain to see on his face.

"Ok guys, time to sign in, you know you got your own room this time, don't
you?"

The duet started over again.

"Really, truly, one room just for us. We never had our own room before, we
had to stay with mummy and daddy all the time."

"Like I said guys, you're bigger now, so you get your own room, that's why
you have too sign the book."

Two small thin chests puffed out as the importance of their situation took
hold in their childish minds. Fore looked down at them as he stood back up
and placed a soft hand on each shoulder, directing them towards the desk.

Unknown to the two boys, their parents had not booked a second room for
them but, as Fore saw it, what was the harm in giving his guests a little
time to themselves. The group were booked in until next Friday and the room
next too them had not been booked for that time, to Fore it was an easy
decision to make so that the parents could have some time to rest from the
volatile twins.

When the boys had signed their names in their childish scrawl, Fore looked
at them with a smile.

"Well guys, now you're both signed in you're entitled to our free drink for
new guests, want to come with me an have them now, or do you want to go see
your room first?"

Too the two boys this was a major decision, here they were in a new Motel
with their own room and being treated like grown ups, their need for a
continuous source of sustenance won the day and they both spoke together.

"Do we get some eats with the drink?"

"Of course you do, it's all part of the service."

"Yaye, lets eat."

Fore wrapped an arm around each narrow shoulder and led them towards the
café area. Once the twins were seated at a table Fore looked at the
waitress by the reception and gave her a wink. Nolene had been running the
small café since Fore had suggested it to Terry three months ago, it had
become quite popular with guests wanting a short break from what they were
doing but didn't want to go too all the trouble of searching out a place
outside the Motel.

Nolene came over to the table with a bright smile on her face.

"Hello Mr. Madigan, who are these fine gentlemen?"

"Hello Nolene, this is Mr. Simon and Paul Carstairs, they are very special
guests and I brought them in for their free drinks and eats."

"Oh, I see, well then I better get them fixed up then."

"Yes thank you Nolene, I think we better give them the real special drinks
this time."

Nolene caught on quickly and with a surprised look on her face as she
looked at the two boys puffing out their small chests at their perceived
importance, she gave a little bow and smiled at the twins.

"My, Mr. Madigan, they must be really important too get the special
drinks."

The two boys wriggled in their chairs and the lightest of blushes covered
their soft boyish cheeks.

"Oh yes Nolene, they're very special, I had to get them to sign into their
own room."

"Well that certainly means they get the specials."

Nolene left the trio and disappeared behind the counter. Fore looked over
at the boys as they wriggled in anticipation and wonder at their reception.

"So guys, tell me all about yourselves, what do you like to do, apart from
getting into trouble?"

The boys gave out with a little giggle and squirmed a bit more on their
seats. Simon took over the talking as Paul sat staring at Fore with wide
eyes.

"Well, we like ice skating and rugby and basketball and video games and
bike riding and roller-blades and drawing and running and everything."

The nonstop run of words rushed out of Simon's mouth as his eyes never left
the place Nolene had disappeared too. It was obvious to Fore what the
priority was and it wasn't long before it was satisfied.

Nolene appeared with two very large glasses on a silver tray, the thick
creamy chocolate milk shakes were topped off with a big scoop of chocolate
ice cream and decorated with two straws and a fancy looking umbrella, two
cherries sat on the edge of the glass to finish off the appearance.

Once the shakes were on the table in front of the two boys, Nolene placed a
large plate of small cakes on the table for them, the cakes were the usual
attraction for small boys, rich cream and sugar filled centers had the boys
hands grabbing while they tried to put the drink straws in their mouths.

The scene gave both Fore and Nolene a tingle in the stomach as they watched
the demolition of the offerings, the broad smile not leaving their faces
until both boys, with cream covered chins and fingers, sat back and, with
typical boyishness, gave out their best belches of contentment.

Fore looked at the two replete boys, their tiny stomachs distended as their
small pink tongues searched out any missed cream from their lips.

"So guys, you want a story while all that cake settles?"

"Yeah, what kind of story, does it have all blood and stuff in it, does it
have goodies and baddies fighting?"

"Well sort of, maybe we should go through to the lounge and sit there while
I tell it too you?"

"Can we sit in the big chairs?"

"Sure, but you got to sit still and listen really good."

Both boys answered together as they jumped a little heavily too their
feet. Once settled in the reception lounge and the boys were snuggled back
into the over stuffed leather chairs, Fore started his story.

As the telling continued the boys became quieter and quieter as the story
unfolded, little did they know that it was a very close simile to Fore's
own life although he kept out most of the hardships he had endured on the
street, he could see that the boys were really affected by the lonely boy
having to make his way in a hard world.

At the end of the story, Fore saw that both boys had tears running down
their cheeks and that they were suddenly looking at their own
behavior. Fore rose from his own chair and hugged the boys close as they
let their tears fall for the boy who lost everything because he was bad.

Paul was the first too speak when the tears had stopped.

"Mr. Terry, could you take us to mummy and daddy now?"

"Sure, come on, give me your hands and we'll walk down there together."

Fore took the boys by the hand and led them to the room where their parents
were now relaxing, at the first knock on the door it was thrown open by
Mr.Carstairs, a look of surprise on his face.

"Where have you both been all this time, I was starting to worry about
you?"

"It's ok Mr. Carstairs, they've been with me, we had to give them the
special welcome drink and a story afterwards."

The boys mother appeared behind her husband just as the boys released
Fore's hand. Two little voices spoke as one when they saw both their
parents standing in the doorway. With a rush they ran too their parents and
with a vice like grip, each one hug a parent and their small voices came
out together.

"Mummy, Daddy, we love you, please don't send us away, we won't be bad
anymore."

The startled look on the parent's faces made Fore wink at them as they
wrapped the terrible twins in their arms.

"We wouldn't send you away boys, whatever gave you that idea?"

"Mr. Terry told us a story about a boy who was bad all the time and his
parents sent him away and wouldn't let him come back home, we don't want to
go away like that boy did."

Sudden understanding appeared on both parents faces and, with a small smile
on their lips, they mouthed out a `thank you' in Fore's direction before
hugging the two contrite boys again.

Fore winked again and then said too the two boys.

"Want to see your room now?"

The startled look on their fathers face said it all.

"I had to book them into their own room, they're too big now to stay like
little kids in their parents room, it's the one next door and there's a
connecting door from your unit too theirs."

"But.. But, I didn't book one for them, I'm not sure I can cover the cost
of both rooms this time."

"Don't worry about it Mr. Carstairs, this one is on the house, it's a
special case."

"Well thanks Terry, I think you should call me David and my wife is Anne,
the Mister thing seems a bit formal after what you did for the boys."

"It's no trouble David, besides they're good kids, I have to get back my
Boy...ahh...Brother will be home any minute."

"Well thanks again Terry, We'll never forget this."

"Just part of the service David."

"Well Terry, it's the best service I've ever had, I'm going to make sure my
friends and company know about your Motel."

"Thank you David, well I better get back before Stewart gets home."

"How old is he Terry?"

"He'll be fifteen next Saturday but, we're keeping it a secret from him."

"Ahh, I see, one of those birthday parties, is it?"

Fore smiled in a conspirational way and nodded his head, then, reached for
both boy's hands and with a smile, led them next door to their own room. It
took Fore a few minutes too explain to the overactive boys that the
chocolates and soda's in the mini bar were only for after meals like all
grown ups had.

The boys nodded their small heads in understanding and then headed for the
TV sitting in the center of the room, Fore watched them for a second and
knew it was time to go and greet his little Babes.

**************************************

As he stood behind the reception desk, Fore looked up at the clock, it was
twenty minutes after Stewart should have been home, a flash of worry ran
over his face, his Babes was never late, where was he? What had happened to
keep him? Fore studied the forecourt outside desperately willing his Babes
to appear.

Suddenly Fore's chest was surrounded by two firm but soft arms, the back of
his neck felt the hotness of a pair of sweet lips and a whisper came to his
ears.

"Hello Goldie, missed you."

"Babes, where have you been? I was starting to get worried."

"Well my love, I came home and my boyfriend had disappeared so, I decide to
take a little time too get over his rejection of me."

Fore spun around just in time too see the broad smile on Stewarts lips,
reaching out he clasped his Babes tightly in his arms and lowered his lips
until they were pressed tightly to Stewarts. Finally breaking the kiss,
Fore leaned back to look at his lover.

"Babes, you know I would never reject you, I mean, who would be able to
fill my dreams if you weren't there."

"You sure it's only your dreams you like me filling?"

"Hmmmm well, there is something else you do really well."

"Like what?"

"Let me close the office and I'll show you."

"Oh please Sir, I'm only a little school boy, I don't think I should do bad
things with other boys."

"Oh damn, well then, let this bad boy do things too you."

Stewart broke out into laughter as Fore ran his smooth hands down the front
of Stewarts quickly tenting jeans.

"Ok, that sounds a better idea, come on slow poke, I won't wait for ever."

Fore closed the office and, taking Stewart by the elbow, turned towards the
stairs leading up to their apartment above the office.

"Hey Babes, want me to put on my leather pants?"

"Nah, Goldie, waste of time, I'll only have to take them off again."

"Mmmm sounds as though you're serious about being a bad school boy."

Stewart leaned over and planted a soft kiss on Fore's neck.

"Only a bad boy for you my lovely Goldie."

"Hey sweet one, you realize that if we keep doing this everyday, it might
become habit forming?"

"Yeah Goldie, but it's a habit I don't want to give up, I'm sorry lover,
but I'm hooked on your body and that's all there is too it."

"Oh I see, you just want me for my body now?"

"Yep, but I'll take the rest of you as well seem I can't cut you in half."

Fore laughed as he swung Stewart through the door of their apartment and
pushed him towards the bedroom.

"Then you got too pay the piper, Babes, get your gear off and come teach me
a lesson."

As the two lovers disappeared through the doorway, only their briefs were
still on their bodies, the rest of their clothing strewn across the lounge
as they dashed for the bedroom, there was no need to close the door as
Terry Snr. was away and the need to feel each other was paramount in their
young minds.
