house next to us we have a greenhouse and Luke is growing all kinds of
stuff for us."

"Wow so we will have fruits and vegetables?"

"Eventually we will. He is growing a lot of things in there and in the
spring he is planning to grow even more outside the house in the
rear. We'll have fresh vegetables all the time soon."

"Wow that's awesome." He said back to Tommy.

"You actually sound like you enjoy veggies Caleb." DJ said.

"They are okay I guess. I don't really like some things but most I will
eat."

"We are all like that I think... Tommy added. I don't know anyone who likes
all of them. I for one hate spinach."

"Ewwww! Shawn said. I hate that too."

They all started to laugh. After that things got quiet for a while and they
let Tommy concentrate on the hill so there were no problems. He got down
the hill without sliding anywhere and soon they were on the parkway heading
to the farm. Caleb watched the road with interest for some reason probably
boredom and DJ made small talk with Tommy.

Back home...

Kyle looked at Luke.

"That was nice, he said. He leaned in and kissed Luke back. You wanna try
something different?"

"I don't know Kyle this is new to me. You know last night while I was
laying here I thought about how you saved me and all those feelings came
back to me including what you said the first time you saw me cleaned up."

He smiled at Kyle and got closer.

"You really did save my life and I know it took a while for me to get used
to all this but I really think I might be able to get closer to you then I
ever really expected. At first I wasn't sure and I thought to myself that I
wasn't gay or didn't have gay feelings Kyle but with no girls being left
and you... well I guess you are very special to me and I can finally admit
that to myself."

"Thanks Luke you are really special to me too and I am glad we could
finally sleep together and share a special night. Its pretty awesome!"

"I agree.  I just hope we can take it slowly and you wont be upset if I am
not really into all the kissing and really... ummm I guess really `gay'
stuff immediately."

"I'll let you in on a little secret... I was sorta like you a while
ago. Unsure and scared to do anything `gay' but I got a taste of it thanks
to Jon as I am sure you know and well I suppose I grew into it myself."

"Awesome so I guess there is hope for me to like it someday."

He shook his head yes and reached out his arm and ran his fingers up and
down Luke's back.

"You like that?"

"I would like that from anyone, nothing personal but hell yeah it feels
great!"

Together they shared some touching and Luke rubbed Kyle's back a little
before both boys decided to get out of bed for the day. Hunger won out and
eventually chased them out of Kyle's room and after checking to make sure
it was safe to leave together they both headed to the kitchen for some
food.

Back on the road..

"How much longer till we are there Tommy? Caleb asked.

"About five minutes. We are close now."

"Good I'm excited to see the new boys."

"They might be new to you but to us... well let's say I have shared a room
with one of them so they aren't new to me."

Shawn was saying more then he should I gave him a look but it was too late
he had Caleb's attention already.

"Really you shared a room with one of the guys?"

"Yes for a bit while he stayed with us."

"Who was it and why?"

"It was... you know it really isn't important who it was."

Shawn looked at me when he said that and I smiled at him, he was
learning... not everyone needs to know why things happen.

"Oh okay sorry I didn't mean to sound nosy."

"Its not that--I just don't want to talk about why some things happen. Some
things are just private."

"Oh, okay I got ya." Caleb said to Shawn.

"Okay guys Strobe Way is just ahead we will be getting off shortly." I said
to change the subject.

I turned onto the street and we headed down the snowy and bumpy road.

"Is that it Tommy?" Caleb asked as he pointed to the entrance.

"Yes that's it and I want you to behave and not get too carried away okay?"

"Sure Tommy I will be good."

I suddenly felt like a babysitter. I looked at Shawn and then DJ both gave
me the `I wanna laugh but I won't' look. I pulled up to the house and
Cameron came out quickly with Chase at his side. We got out of my
truck. Chase looked at me and smiled widely. It has been a few weeks since
we saw each other or any of the boys. I immediately got a hug as I got to
Chase and as I looked at Shawn I could see the instantaneous jealousy in
his face. Then Chase let go and saw Caleb.

"Wow Tommy who is that? Where did you find him?"

After Chase said that, Cameron practically said the same thing. All three
boys, Caleb, Chase and Cameron eyed each other up and down before Cameron
finally started to tell me about Chance. Nothing else was said to Caleb so
far. Cameron realized that I wanted to know about Chance before finding out
who the new boy was.

"He still has a fever but I have been keeping it down with cold washcloths
and keeping fluids in him too. He has slept a lot and pooped a bit too but
he seems to be getting a little better now."

"Great and you don't know what happened or what caused it?"

"No Tommy, not a clue."

He looked at DJ and it was clear what was coming next. They walked up to
each other and hugged.

"I missed you lots." Cameron said.

"Yeah I missed you too." DJ replied.

"You two can talk in a bit if its okay I wanna see Chance."

"Oh sorry Tommy come on lets go inside."

He led us inside their house and we entered through the kitchen door. Once
inside I took my coat off and the others followed.

"Shawn keep Caleb company. I want to go check Chance and I think DJ and
Cameron need some time to chat."

"Okay TJ."

"Cameron is it okay if I look in your refrigerator before you go?"

"Sure Shawn go ahead."

He opened the door and asked Caleb if he wanted some milk. Caleb answered
yes with anticipation in his voice.

"I missed milk so much while we lived at the mall. There was some there but
it was bad so I haven't had much at all."

Shawn poured a full glass for both of them and they sat at the table and
talked while the others did their thing. DJ went into Cameron's room and
shut his door.

"I missed you so much!" Cameron said as they embraced.

They hugged a bit and then DJ smiled at Cameron.

"Let's sit I'll tell you about our trip to the mall. But first how are you
feeling?"

"Huh?"

"You know your balls. Are you healed?"

"Yeah, sorry since the pain went away I try not to think about it."

"That's great have you been able to jerk off and cum?"


"Wanna find out?"

DJ smiled at him.

"I don't know if we should right now."

"Oh come on no one is going to know or catch us. I missed you so much the
past few weeks and I really missed your touch too. Please DJ?"

True to his word he began to show from his sweatpants. He was bulging out

DJ smiled.

Meanwhile...

Tommy approached Chance's door. He knocked and opened it slowly. Chance
appeared to be asleep. He stood there for a second watching the 12 year old
lay peacefully in his bed. He walked a few steps closer to the bed and
Chance turned to see who was approaching. Chance seeing Tommy smiled. For
the most part their relationship was good but like any shy kid he had his
moments while alone with Tommy.

"Hey cutie how you feeling?"

"Not too good Tommy but better now that you are here."

I sat on the edge of his bed and put my hand on his belly.

"Sorry you don't feel good."

"Yeah me too my butt really hurts from going so much."

"Sounds like you have a really nasty stomach virus."

"I don't know but whatever it is I feel bad."

I reached out and felt his forehead. He was warm.

"When did you take your temperature last?"

"Yesterday."

"Why didn't Cameron take it today?"

"Because he hasn't been in here yet, he let me sleep."

"You mean he didn't even come to check on you?"

"No, no... I know he has been in here a few times but he didn't come over
and bother me while I was sleeping he knew I wasn't getting much sleep so I
think he finally let me sleep today."

"Oh, oh I get it. I said Lets check it now."

"Okay Tommy."

I cleaned the thermometer off and put it into his mouth. Three minutes
later I pulled it out and read it and yes the thought of taking it in his
ass did cross my mind but I didn't feel like going there with all the
bathroom breaks he has had. Its probably not that clean down there right
now. I read the thermometer.

"Mmmm, 101.5."

"Well that's down a little bit it was over 102 yesterday Cameron said."

"How do you feel?" I asked.

"Still bad but not like yesterday I guess a little better."

"Okay good. You drinking anything?"

"Not much."

"Well you need to keep fluids in you or you will really get sick okay?"

"Sure but Cameron didn't say that to me."

"It figures!"

I handed him the bottle of water and he took a few sips.

"Thanks I needed that my throat was kinda dry."

"Feel like sitting up and getting out of bed for a bit?"

"I don't know, why?"

"When was the last time you were on your feet?"

"When I went to the bathroom yesterday."

"Okay I just thought you might want to take a walk."

"Nah not really."

"Okay no problem."

"Is there anything else I can do for you?"

"Thanks but I really don't need anything now. The water was good but that's
about it."

"Okay then I am gonna go back to the others Chance. You get all the rest
you need and we will talk later or another time."

"Are you gonna leave soon?"

"That's up to the boys."

"Who is here Tommy?"

"DJ, Shawn, Caleb and me."

"Caleb? Who is that?"

"He's one of the kids we brought back with us from the mall."

"Really you found kids at a mall? When did you go, where did you go and
most of all how old is this Caleb kid and is he c-u-t-e?"

I laughed at his questions especially when he spelled cute for some reason.

"Which do you want me to answer first?"

"You know Tommy the cute part."

"Yes he is kinda cute."

"If you are saying that I gotta see him."

Again I laughed.

"How old is he? Tell me about him."

"So all the other questions don't matter all you want to know is about
Caleb?"

"For now yes."

Since he finally had his mind on something other then being ill I went back
over and sat down on the edge of his bed. I had a feeling this was going to
take a while.

"Tell me a little about Caleb, please Tommy."

"Okay, okay, I said smiling at him. I reached out and put my hand on his
leg and he allowed it so far. He is around 11 years old and maybe 5 foot
tall, on the skinny side with dirty blonde hair and a nice smile once you
get him to smile that is..."

"Have you seen anymore of him?"

"You mean have I seen him naked? To a degree I suppose after he was raped."

"RAPED?"

"That's not important but he is recovering nicely and he has his cute

"Oh okay so when can I see him?"

"You are funny Chance. You need rest."

"I sure hope so." Chance said smiling.

I got up and headed out of the room and downstairs to find Caleb. He was in
the kitchen with Shawn.

"Caleb come with me for a few minutes."

He got up and so did Shawn.

"Not you cutie. I just need him right now."

"Oh... okay." He said with a sad look on his face.

We left the kitchen.

"Where we going?"

"Chance wants to meet you."

"OH you mean the sick kid?"

"Exactly."

"Cool!" he relied as he sped up a bit.

He followed me upstairs and to Chance's room. I knocked and he yelled come
in. I entered and Caleb followed. I watched Chances eyes light up. He
looked at him and then me.

"Wow." He said out loud.

"Wow what?" Caleb commented.

"Oh nothing, Chance said suddenly becoming modest. I was just surprised to
see more boys alive."

Liar... I thought to myself. But I didn't care I was laughing inside as I
knew exactly what Chances `wow' meant. Caleb walked over to the bed and
reached out his hand.

"Nice to meet you, I hope you are feeling better."

"Thanks, I am now." Chance said smiling and shaking his hand.

I looked at him but he wasn't looking at me just at Caleb. Apparently
Chance likes what he sees.

"How many others Tommy, he said finally looking at me. Is he the only one?"

"No there were seventeen or so people at the mall."

"Wow, that's a lot of survivors. Are they all kids?"

"No there was a girl and guy who were parents and the guy is Ben's big
brother."

"Wow there is a ton of new stuff happening."

"Yes and when you finally get better maybe I will invite you over to meet
them. Soon they will be our new neighbors."

"Huh? I'm confused."

"Bryan wanted to leave the mall and start fresh with his girl and son..."

"That's Kate and Joel." Caleb added.

"Right. I said... so he asked me about coming over here."

"Oh, from where?'

"Minneapolis." I said.

"Wow that's a long way from here."

"That is where we went for a few days."

"Really Tommy you took all the guys there? Why?"

"Because it was a huge mall, we wanted to take a ride and most of all we
wanted to check out other places for people and cloths and so on."

"Guess you found what you wanted then Tommy huh?"

"I guess we did and soon we will have new neighbors and about four or five
new kids I think."

"Wow that is going to be interesting."

"Sure will." I said.

"Yeah, Caleb added, I get to see some of the people I don't like again."

Chance looked at me with a definite puzzled look on his face.

"Long story for another time Chance."

"Oh okay I guess. Hey maybe one of them can live here."

I laughed.

"You never know but I think you need to run that past Cameron don't you?"

"Yeah and he would never go for it!"

"Maybe DJ would want to move here." I said.

"No! I really don't think so!" he said harshly.

"What's that all about?" I asked with a bit of surprised reaction.

"Not now and not here Tommy. Maybe another time." He said.

"Okay. So why don't you get some rest and I'll look in on you later."

"Sure Tommy, thanks. Nice to meet you Caleb."

"Same here." He replied.

I rustled his hair and smiled as we turned to leave. We got out in the hall
and I shut the door. When we were a bit away Caleb looked at me as if he
had a question.

"You got something on your mind?"

"A few things especially after being here." He said with some coldness in
his voice.

"You sound a bit upset or am I wrong?"

"Not upset just really curious I guess. I'm sorry Tommy maybe its just a
lot to take in after being hurt and at the mall for so long this is all
nice but a bit different at the same time... sorta weird."

"Yeah I actually understand what you mean Caleb. If or when you are ready
to talk about it you know where to find me or anyone else for that matter."

"Yup, sure do, thanks Tommy."

"No problem cutie."

I must have said that a bit too loud because from around the corner Shawn
popped his head out.

"You calling me TJ?"

"Ummm, nope, sorry just using the word."

"Ohhhhh, okay." He said with a baffled look on his face.

I followed Caleb back into the kitchen and we sat at the table. Chase was
in the room now and got to meet Caleb up close and personal. Once again
both boys eyed each other up and down before shaking hands. Caleb stood a
bit taller then Chase but that was expected since he was two years
older. We talked about things at the mall and Caleb asked Chase a few
questions as did Chase ask Caleb some too. Finally DJ and Cameron came out
and joined us at the kitchen table. The only one missing was Chance. We sat
and talked about a bunch of stuff. Caleb asked questions about living on
the farm and the boys asked him some stuff about how it was at the mall and
how his life was before the comet hit. He was just about to tell us about
his family when we had a guest join us.

"Is it okay if I sit with all of you?"

We all looked up and it was Chance.

"Hey bro what are you doing out of bed?"

"I heard all of you down here and I felt left out plus I am feeling a lot
better now."

"Come here pal." I said to him.

He walked over and I put my hand on his forehead.

"Great... feels cool. Hey Cam I think your brothers fever broke he feels
cooler."

"Yeah I feel much better and my belly doesn't hurt as much."

I moved over to make room on the bench and waved Chance over. He sat next
to me and smiled.

"He looks better too." Cameron said.

"So what were all of you talking about?" Chance asked.

"We were discussing Caleb's life before the comet." DJ replied.

"Oh, cool."

DJ looked at Caleb.

"So go on and tell us some more about you and what happened."

"Okay, well I guess... he paused as he thought about it. The town I lived
in is called Richfield and its not that far from the mall. One day about a
week after the comet hit I got on my bike and started to head there. It
wasn't hard to find with all the signs around and besides my mom and dad
had taken us there lots."

"Us? Who else was there? How many brothers and sisters did you have?" Shawn
asked.

"There were three of us... my younger sister Shana and my older brother
Lucas. She was six and he was thirteen. He was an awesome older brother too
I miss him even more than my parents because he used to take care of me
when they weren't around. Both my mom and dad worked and at times neither
were home. Shana would go to a sitters and my parents would leave me with
Lucas most of the time. We always found something to do or messed around
somehow. He would have his friends over and well ya know... I sure do miss
that now."

He went from smiling as he talked about his brother to almost crying now as
he thought about his family. I got up and put my hands on his shoulder and
rubbed them as the others watched. Everyone understood his pain. We all
lost loved ones and even though it hurt it also helped to talk about it
sometimes.

"How were your parents Caleb?" Cameron asked.

"If you don't mind... I really don't want to talk about it anymore okay?"

"Oh sure its okay, sorry."

"Thanks."

He sniffed back some tears and wiped his eyes with the back of his hand. We
had been talking on and off for a while now and I caught a look at the
clock and it was already after 12pm.

"Well guys I hate to break this up but we have guests on the way and they
should be here around dark unless something changes so we better go."

I thought to myself that we really need to get over at the house and hide
the porn too. I got up and so did the others.

"DJ are you staying here or coming back with us?"

"No I am going back this time Tommy but if I can get back here next week I
might stay a few days."

"You remind me about it and we'll get you here besides I might need to come
back to check on Chance anyway."

"Yeah. Said Cameron. Next week will be good for us. Tommy lets get you all
the milk I have stored up in the barn and about six dozen eggs too."

"Great Cam, thanks, we can sure use it and I am sure that when our new
neighbors arrive they might need some too."

"We have plenty even for ten more people. The cows produce enough each day
for a dozen people to drink a few glasses and the chickens can lay a dozen
eggs each sometimes so you are welcomed to anything you want."

"Thanks Cam." I said.

They guys got their coats and I went over to Chase and had a moment and
then to Chance and talked to him a bit more. I wanted to check on Chase and
see how he was holding up now and if Cameron was okay and not taking
advantage of him anymore. He said things were fine and he got yelled at a
few times but he deserved it. I am okay with what I heard so I really think
Cameron learned a lesson for now. We all headed out and Caleb got to see
inside the barn for the first time. He was almost mesmerized by the
animals. We loaded up the truck with the eggs and milk and said our
goodbyes. DJ told Cam he would call in a few days and both Chase and Chance
gave me a quick hug and I told them to be good before I chased Chance back
inside the house. It was getting windy now and colder. We might get snow
again but I sure hope Bryan and the others call or get here safely. That's
a main concern now. We all got in the truck and I started it up and we all
waved to each other as I headed down the drive and back out onto the
streets. We were heading home. About half way home the boys were talking
and my cell rang. Kyle was wondering how soon we would be there and I told
him we were on the way. About twenty minutes later I pulled up to the
garage and opened the door. I called inside the house and told Kyle to send
a few guys downstairs to help with putting the stuff away.

"Bro hand the phone to Shawn for me will you I need to talk to him."

"Sure KY... Shawn... Kyle wants to talk to you."

He took the phone and headed a few feet away which I thought was odd but
that's about all the thought I gave it since I had the porn and the milk on
my mind. A few minutes later he came back over and handed the phone to me
as the boys were bringing milk inside and some upstairs along with
separating the eggs too.



Shawn headed over and was standing at Tommy's side after the phone
conversation with Kyle. On the phone Kyle told Shawn about the surprise
party and that upstairs is decorated for the surprise party. He wanted him
to know and make sure he keeps an eye on Tommy so he doesn't spoil the
surprise waiting upstairs and other than Caleb all the others know about it
and its Shawn's job to head upstairs before Tommy and let Kyle know he is
coming. Kyle has it all worked out. Caleb went upstairs before Tommy and
Kyle immediately grabbed him and showed him what was happening so he
wouldn't spill the beans about it and now everyone is waiting for Tommy to
finish downstairs and head up to the main floor. The entire main floor from
the kitchen to the living room is full of balloons, and draped with all
kinds of things to make it look like an official party. All the guys have
party hats and noise makers which Kyle had to threaten them not to blow
until Tommy came upstairs. Jon is waiting at the top of the steps now and
Shawn is at the bottom looking up at him. Tommy is right behind and Jon
just turned and signaled to Kyle that they are on their way upstairs
letting Shawn off the hook.  All the boys are gathered in the main room
right outside the basement door and they are all ready to yell surprise to
Tommy when he hits the inside of the door and Jon shuts the door. The door
is the key to them knowing that they are upstairs. Kyle told Jon to just
about slam it so everyone could know that it was time. Tommy is climbing
the steps now with Shawn in front of him and Jon is at the top looking down
at them. So far Tommy doesn't have a clue about what is going to happen in
a few seconds. The only thing on Tommy's mind is getting next door right
now but that will change in a few minutes when he will probably get the
shit scared out of him and then hopefully the party will begin. Ben has
been baking since early this morning when they left for the farm and the
cake is all iced up and on the table; it reads: "Happy 17th Birthday Tommy"
Jon just slammed the door as they all cleared the doorway. Tommy walked
around the corner...

"SURPRISE!!!"

Tommy jumped three feet off the floor as they all yelled and scared the
shit out of him. The look on his face was priceless as it went from shock
to a huge smile. The horns were blowing now, someone threw confetti and
some of the others were clapping and others were cheering as they all
approached and surrounded Tommy. Some were pushing him others were punching
him as they all celebrated his birthday. He looked over at Kyle who was
beaming from the outcome of his surprise and Tommy smiled and made a fist
and shook it at him as if to say `I'll get you for this' and Kyle smiled at
him. After a good minute of this things finally settled down and Jon yelled
out 'Speech'!

"Okay everyone...thank you for this surprise...I have to admit I didn't
have a clue and you all got me good."

"How's it feel bein 17 TJ?" Shawn asked.

"The same as it did being 16 cutie."

Everyone laughed.

"But seriously guys, thanks for all this its really awesome that you did
this for me. He looked at Kyle. Especially you mister...I will get you for
this!"

They all ewwwwed and ahhhhed when he said that.

"Okay lets go into the kitchen and show him the cake!" Kyle yelled out.

This caused them to all head into the kitchen where Ben was waiting with a
huge ass cake that he spent most of the day making.

"Wholly shit that's huge!" Tommy said as he walked over to it.

The cake had vanilla icing on it with seventeen candles and two big candles
one a `one' and the other a `seven' both lit with the others. Kyle started
singing Happy Birthday and everyone else joined in.

"Make a wish and blow them out bro." Kyle shouted above the others after
they finished singing.

Tommy got close closed his eyes and made a wish and then with one huge
breath blew out all the candles in front of him. Everyone clapped and
cheered as they went out. He turned to Ben...

"Thanks guy this looks awesome."

Ben smiled at him.

"My pleasure Tommy."

Shawn handed Tommy the knife and Tommy started cutting the cake into small
squares. Kyle scooped them up and put them on a paper plate one at a time
and Shawn began to hand them out. There was enough cake for everyone to
have two pieces and boy was it good.

"This is the best damn cake I ever had!" said. DJ.

"Yeah I agree! Said Jon. Ben how did you ever learn how to make something
so good?"

Ben smiled at him.

"I had a good teacher, I always wanted to be a cook ever since I was nine."

"Yeah well you can cook for me anytime!" Jon said to him.

After all the accolades were done Ben felt really good about himself for
the first time in a long time. He was finally able to show off some of his
ability to others and it went great. His vanilla icing and chocolate cake
was awesome. They all spent the next hour or so enjoying the cake and fresh
milk which Caleb couldn't stop commenting about. It was awesome he said
about four or five times. He had three large cupfuls of it. They boys
finished off about five gallons of milk during the party. Finally it was
over and just about everyone chipped in to help clean up. There was about
1/8th of the cake left and Tommy wrapped it up in foil and put it away
after he threatened everyone of the boys with a horrible death if they ate
it on him. Tommy walked over to Kyle when things calmed down. It was now
about 5pm.

"KY we need to get next door and hide the porn, we should have gone over
there hours ago."

"Damn I totally forgot! Sorry."

"Its okay KY this was awesome. Thanks bro."

Tommy gave him a big hug and both brothers held each other for a good
minute appreciating one another. Outside it had begun to snow about an hour
before the party and the clear ground was now covered with a light
dusting. Tommy's cell rang as he let go of Kyle and he turned and ran to
the kitchen counter to get it.

"Hello? Oh hi Bryan... yeah everything is okay here just waiting for you to
arrive. Oh... I see well that's fine you guys might as well be safe and
stay put for the evening. What's that? Oh yeah give me some
landmarks... okay that's good I think I know where you are... about an hour
or so away from here... you said its snowing there? He went and looked
outside. Yup here too but lightly. Okay no problem we will see you in the
morning sometime call if you have any problems. Okay thanks, bye Bryan."

Kyle was standing next to Tommy and heard most of the conversation.

"Sounds like they aren't coming tonight."

"They aren't bro which gives us plenty of time tonight to get the stuff put
safely into the hallway and lock that door so no one can get in there even
if they find it."

"Yeah... you want to get Jon and I'll go find DJ."

"Good idea we need to get this done before it gets too late. I am already
tired from the trip to the farm so lets get over there and get this over
with."
