Subject: Turbo White episode two

Ronan laid awake in his top bunk. That was unusual. Usually after
transforming had no trouble getting to sleep. Sometimes he would even going
to bed before his little brother who was sleeping peacefully beneath
him. The attack today was bothering him. He knew demons adopted people, but
I had a pick those? Maybe it was just because one of them had been his
brother, but it was really bothering him. Although those students but he
had selected not just grabbed.

Rolling over he turned his tablet on. He'd only been Trouble White for a
brief time but at least he had access to the Superhero Net. Logging in he
scanned the list to see who else was online. Lockley another one of the
demon hunters was online. He sent a message requesting a conversation.

Capt. Midnight : you made the news congratulations.

Turbo White: thanks but a little worried. My brother found out about me.

Capt. Midnight : you sure?

Turbo White : yeah I had to rescue him. He can keep it a secret

Capt. Midnight : that's good. What's the problem?

Turbo White : it could've taken anyone from my school but it didn't just
grab it picked.

Capt. Midnight : that is worrying.

Turbo White : does it mean something?

Capt. Midnight : unless you can tell me more I would say there's not enough
information.

Ronan did his best to summarize the events of the attack while keeping it
short. He wished he was more seasoned.

Capt. Midnight : I can't say for sure but if you would like someone to come
out there and check I could put some feelers out to see who's available.

Ronan wasn't sure what feelers meant but he got the idea that someone might
come and at least take a look.

Turbo White : yes please

Capt. Midnight : will do.

Ronan let out a small sigh and signed off. Superheroes were
everywhere. There wasn't a major city without one, but those who could
successfully take down demons were fewer. Fortunately demons can only
emerge from a few places seemed where the netherworld and theirs were close
together. He didn't really understand it and was pretty sure no one really
did. There was where he lived, Bras?lia, someplace in the Australian
outback, an island in the Philippines, Istanbul place may be 200 km north
of New York City and another place close to Anchorage Alaska. Some of those
places only had one others had more people like him. He didn't want not to
be a superhero, but he wouldn't mind a little more help.

Rolling over he closed his eyes and tried to slow his breathing so he could
sleep. Things will look better tomorrow. It was the weekend after all.

The Netherworld

He stared out at his minions. They bowed before him motionless. They would
say that way until he had finished speaking but for now he held his tongue
exerting silent authority over them. He knew each one of their names, that
was how he had power over them. His eyes wandered over the group before he
finally opened his mouth to speak.

"Seraphim has failed to me. Felled by a mere child." He sensed the unease
as he named their falling colleague. Demons had to be protective of their
names. By announcing their falling colleague's name the depth of his
failure was pronounced. Demons never really died, they were just
reduced. Seraphim would now be one of the lowest of the low when it came
back into being.

"This is a step back, but not the end. Four of the five still sleep and as
long as they do shall be victorious." His eyes flicked over the group more
for show to demonstrate his power than actually indecision. He pointed
towards two winged creatures twins after a fashion. They were not the
strongest but perhaps they were sneaky and clever. They were also both
small enough that they could both leave together.

"You two shall now be the tip of my spear. Where strength failed
intelligence will succeed."

He turned his back and behind him he could hear the other stir as they
stretched from long-held positions. In their own way they were pathetic,
weak and deserving of being ruled. They would never have united in such a
large group it wasn't for him. The demon was once human.

Earth

in a darkened quarter of the city there was a brief but strange
occurrence. Under a star filled sky there was a clap of thunder that might
have been mistaken for a car backfiring. If somebody had been looking at
the right spot at the right time they might've seen a bubble of darkness
grow before even more quickly shrinking back into nothingness. Two figure
stood there. Almost gargoyle like in their appearance they quickly
fluttered away on wings that look tattered and incapable of caring their
weight.

Finding even more isolated spot they paused and landed at each other. Then
there pale dry skin started to move on its own. They looked at each other
and if somebody saw them at that moment they would've been struck with
terror as wings folded it on themselves and the weird bodies change
shape. A chrysalis like structure appeared over them briefly but when it
fell away what appeared was even more unsettling.

Two children stood there appearing to be 11 or 12 years old. They weren't
identical but looked like brothers might. Without a word to the other they
turned in unison and started walking. They had reconnaissance work to do.
