Saturday - 6:43 am


When i woke, Jake was already up.
I could hear the shower running in the bathroom as i got out of bed.
I snuck to the bathroom door.
It was still open a crack and i could Jake's shadow on the shower
curtain.
I sneaked into the bathroom and stood in front of the shower curtain.
I could see Jake now through the thin fabric of the curtain, he was
facing the wall, rubbing shampoo into his hair.
I slipped around the side of the shower curtain and wrapped my arms his

Jake got some more orange juice and then spoke again.
"You'll see" He sighed and put the glass down.
Jake stood up and walked around the table and stood next to me.
He didn't say anything, just grabbed my chair and pulled it out.
After that, he moved around and kneeled in between my legs, and looked up
at me and smiled.

Jake was waiting for me by the door when i came downstairs after getting
dressed.

"Ready to go ?" He asked as i reached the bottom of the steps and

It was already getting warm when the two of us stepped out of my house.
I began to lock the door while Jake stood and watched the birds flying
around in circles.
I only lived a 15 minute walk from the beach, and as we walked through
the almost empty streets there was barely any noise apart from the odd
passing car and a early-morning jogger.
We were walking close together, me occasionally brushing his hand,
him smiling and trying to grab it whenever i brushed him.
When we were almost half way, Jake managed to grab my hand and wouldn't
let go.
" Jake, people are around " i said, embarrassed.
" I don't care anymore..And neither should you, these people we don't
know, they're only there for a second then you'll never see them again "
He was right.

I rearranged my hand in his so we were properly holding hands and
then carried on walking.
We arrived at the beach, and it was completely deserted.
There really was not a single person on the golden sand or in the light
blue water.
The sun was just beginning to rise and it was sending the sky shades of
crimson and light orange.
"It's beautiful" Jake sighed, Gazing out towards the sea.
"It really is" I agreed.
Jake ran down the steps and onto the beach.
I chased him and caught up to him, pushing him down.
He fell with a yelp of laughter and i landed on top of him and started
pinning him to the floor.
I knelt on his knees and pinned his hands down to his sides.
He struggled, but i was quite a bit heavier than him and he was unable to

"You're in trouble now aren't you?" I joked.
He giggled again and said nothing.
As i looked down at him, the sun glinted off his eyes and i could see
that sparkle that i had fallen in love with.
I glanced around, still a bit nervous from acting like this in public.
It's stupid, I know, but i've always been scared of what people would
say.
I let go of Jake's hands and he propped himself up on his elbows.
"Something wrong?" He asked.
"I was thinking, what are people going to say when they find out
about...About us" I asked him quietly.
He frowned.
"I had thought about that too, no doubt they won't like it. But i don't
need anyone else Mike. I need you" When he finished speaking he looked
away.
I touched his cheek and gently pulled his face back to look at me.
"I need you too Jake. And i always will need you"
He smiled and flicked his fringe out of his eyes.
"Let's go swimming" I said to him.
He nodded and i got off his legs and then i pulled off my t-shirt.
I stood in front of Jake holding a towel while he got changed, blocking
anyones view who may have been looking.
When we were both ready, we raced towards the water.
I got there first, a few seconds before Jake.
The water was slightly warm.
I splashed Jake and then swam away from him as he tried to splash me
back.
We swam and messed around for almost 15 minutes before i started to get
bored of swimming backwards and forwards.
"Hey Jake" I called to him.
He was floating on his back looking up at the sky, and when i called him
he started treading water.
" Yeah?" He asked, his fringe had stuck to his face for the tenth time
and he didnt bother moving it.
"I dare you to take your pants off" I said.
He laughed and splashed me.
"I will if you will"
I said i would and then started to unzip my pants and pull them off (
with some difficulty )
The water felt cold on my area without my pants covering it and i
realised i was now completely naked
only a couple of metres from a public beach.
I lifted them up to show Jake and he nodded and began to take his own

Once he had done it i swam over to him and put my hands around his waist.
I had to kick harder to stay afloat but it felt nice so i didn't mind.

We stayed like that kissing for another ten minutes before i started to
get cold.
