Subject: What's The Difference Between Me and You Preface

I started writing this story in August after I read The Log Way on Gay
Authors. One of the things my boyfriend Taylor and I love to do is read net
stories. I decided that as a way to show him how much I love him, I would
write about how we met. I felt like it was important to go as far back in
time as I could, so I started the story in 1999, when I was 8 years old and
just starting to realize that I was gay. This was also when my dad and I
moved from California to Virginia, and if we hadn't moved, Taylor and I
would've never met.

I'm writing this preface on November 8, 2005, almost 3 months after I
started writing the story. I have quite a few chapters done already, but I
want to take the time to edit them before I post them. If you happen to
read the chapters as they're posted, please forgive any spelling errors
that I miss. Also, if you want, you can PM me with any thoughts, positive
or negative.

This story is dedicated to my boyfriend Taylor, who I love. We've been
through a lot, and I feel so close to him.

When I was writing chapter one, I couldn't decide how I wanted to approach
the characters...my problem was that they are all real people. I decided
that the best thing to do was to write the story in third person, but from
my point of view. I hope that things don't get too confusing. I tried to
make the quotes as accurate as I could, but it was impossible to do that
since everything was so long ago. So I just added them the way I remembered
them. Please enjoy the story.

editing of this story. There's no way I could do it without him.
