I was woken out of a deep slumber my the shrill ring of my phone.  A sound
that wasn't welcome at 1:16am Monday morning.

"Hello?" I mumbled.

"Beth?  It's Mary Hedstrom" What the hell was my boss doing calling in the
middle of the night??  "I'm so glad you answered.  The computers at the
office have been infected with a virus and we've lost the entire report for
tomorrow's big meeting!  Our clients fly in at 8am and the meeting is at 9.
I need a couple people to come in right now and help me write everything
again.  I know you were instrumental in writing the original draft and I
could really use your expertise right now!  I'll throw in double-time pay
and you can have the rest of the day off.  Please say you'll come."

Even though I was hella tired, the double time pay was really appealing,
not to mention the rest of the day off.  "Yeah Mary, I'll be there in about
a half hour."

"Oh thank you so much Beth!  I'll see you soon."

As I was trying to wash the sleep away in the shower, I realized having the
rest of the day off was definitely what I needed.  I wasn't exactly ready
to face Lee quite yet after what happened over the past weekend.  After our
kiss outside of the restaurant, we decided to cool it for the rest of the
weekend and we'd talk more once we've thought things through a bit.  Having
the day off would buy me some more time before I had to see her.  My mind
was still trying to wrap itself around the concept of me being with Lee,
who up until the past Thursday had been a fantasy crush.  After the shower,
I dried off, changed into jeans and a sweater, put on a little makeup, and
headed toward the door.  My eyes fell on my new leather coat hanging on the
coat rack by my front door.  I was immediately taken back to the store
where I tried it on, and could almost feel Lee's hands on me again.
Without a second thought, I put the coat on, and became lightheaded when I

Soon I was at work.  I parked my car, swiped my badge to get in, and
stopped by the break room to grab some coffee before heading to Mary's
office.  Another co-worker, Nate, was there and we made small talk about
what crap it was that the computers got fried, etc.  We grabbed our coffee

other's gaze for a few seconds, before Mary shoved a stack of papers in
front of all of our faces and gave us the game plan on recreating the
report.  We worked diligently throughout the night.  It was acually kind of
fun.  Mary is a great woman to work for.  She's the type of boss who
doesn't hold her power above her team, and is not afraid to keep the
atmosphere light.  Nate is also a great guy, whose sense of humor always
keeps us in stitches.  It was different being around Lee, though.  I knew
every time it seemed she laughed a little too hard at one of my jokes, or
touched my hand a little too long when I handed her something, that it
wasn't just my imagination.  I KNEW it meant something.

Finally, around 7:30 we were done.  Mary left us to finish up all the last
minute details so she could go to pick our clients up from the airport.  I
was getting ready to leave after everything had been done.  I wanted to
talk to Lee before I left, but she was nowhere to be found.  Disapointed, I
said goodbye to Nate and I headed to my car.  When I got to my car, Lee was

"Johnson Park.  I've never made it out here, but I've heard great things
about it." Lee said.

"Follow me."  I took her down a path that lead to a children's play area
that was made to look like an old western town.  There were little
buildings made to look like businesses like a general store, bank, train
station, jail, school, church, and courthouse.  The courthouse was the

few weeks ago when the leaves were changing.  I come here a lot to think,

Lee grinned and took my hand in hers.  "Did you ever think I'd be here
sharing this place with you?" She asked.  I shook my head.

"No, I didn't.  I fantasized about it all the time, though.  I've always
loved sharing my special places with special people.  You have no idea how
wonderful I thought our time in the Ozarks was, despite the whole freaking
out thing."

Lee laughed.  "It's completely understandable.  And I'm glad I shared that
with you too."  Lee paused for a few seconds.  "I'm really glad you took me
here, Beth." she said as she took my hand to her lips and gingerly kissed
it.  "Tell me what we were doing when you'd imagine us here together."

I noticed Lee's breathing had gotten very heavy.  Her legs had also began
