Chapter 8: "We were strangers starting out on a journey
Never dreaming how our dreams would come true
Now here we stand unafraid of the future
	At the beginning with you"

Three months have past and no words from Alex. Lexi didn't lose hope that
one day when she comes home from work she'll find Alex in their room
waiting for her. Since the day Alex left she never forgets every single
detail of her face, her voice that still echoes through their room, and her
scent that fills the air. These are the things Lexi was holding on, her
only memory of Alex.

"Hey, am I bothering you?" Kathy pokes her head on the door.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" Lexi asked.

"Well, I haven't seen you for almost a month. And I want to know if you're
ok! Got any words from Alex?" Kathy asked. Lexi lowered her head, "No. It's
been three months. She didn't give me a call. Maybe she hasn't remember
anything yet or she just forgets all about me."

"Come on, don't be sad, Why don't you go to my place tonight I'm having
this party and I'm sure your going to enjoy It. " as Kathy changed the
topic.

" I can't, maybe some other time. I'm not in the mood for partying." Lexi
excused.

"Hey, maybe you should take your time off thinking of Alex. Come
on. Please... Please... Please?" Kathy begs.

*Sigh* "Alright! What time will the party starts?"

"Just be there at 7."

 "Alright, be there!"

"I'll go ahead. Take this key, if I'm not yet in, just get inside ok?"

"OK!"

"Bye" Leaving Lexi in her office room.

***

Lexi arrived at Kathy's apartment at exactly 7'o clock. She noticed Kathy
is not yet home, so she decided to walk in. The place was very quite and
dark, Lexi remembers the first time she met Alex. *Its been awhile since I
got here* Lexi thought. She smiled when she remembers how Alex didn't let
go of her hand when they were introduced. A lone tear in her eyes slid
down. Lexi scanned the room and found that there is light coming on the
porch. "Hello? Someone's there?" as she walks slowly through the porch, her
palms became sweaty and her heart beats faster. She becomes nervous when no
one answer. "Hello?" When she reached the spot, she found a small table
with a rose and a small box on top of it with a piece of paper with her
name, Lexi. As she gently picks up the paper, "Will you marry me?" and Lexi
was dumbfounded when she heard it. Tears immediately flows in her eyes as
she heard that voice. She knew whom it belongs. "Lexi." Slowly she turns
around and wraps her arms over Alex. "You're back, you're here, You kept
your promise." Lexi said in between sobs.

"I love you." said Alex. She looks at Lexi and studied her beautiful
face. "I missed you. You're still beautiful, you haven't changed."

"Oh, Alex!" Lexi pulled her into a passionate kiss.

Wiping away the tears from Lexis face, "No, more tears alright? I'm here
and I will never leave you again. I'm not going to allow myself to see you
crying ever again. I promise. Lexi, remember this, If I ever lost my memory
again, my heart will always find their way back to you, 'coz you are my one
and only true love. I love you!" as we embrace each other once more.

Alex reaches for the small box and reveals a beautiful silver ring. "Now,
I'm going to ask you again. Will you marry me?" Lexi nodded and cry as Alex
took the ring and placed it to her finger.

"I was supposed to give this ring to you on our First year anniversary but
the accident happen. This ring helps me to remember everything, Lexi. When
I found it on my drawer memory flashes back from the night I was talking to
my mom up to the night that my car got hit. I'm sorry it came so late."

"I don't care if it came so late as long as it comes from you I'm happy
with It." as Lexi looks at her hand. There's one more thing I needed to
hear from her the answer to my proposal, she just nods. I wanted to hear
the word yes from her. "Alex, yes, I want to marry you and live each
moment of my life with you."

Finally she answered.
