No coffee or shower woke me, infact it made me even more tired. But I had to go to work as Simone's cousin, which dont get me wrong, was great that I could spend so much time with her, but it limited me to where I could go and do. People ring all the time to speak to her. I never knew she would have to go to work two nights every week to have meetings about where the company is heading and setting up bigger clients. Its only now, while observing her workplace practices I find out how much work she does. The way she walks around, is too much for me. At home she is sweet as pie. At work, its like she has a pound of carrots up her arse. I dont like pretending to be her cousin. Simple. I leave. I kiss her goodbye in her office away from everyone and tell her I will meet her at home. Which at this stage reminds me to get the keys from her, I dont have my own copy yet. She gives them to me, but she isnt happy about it. She would prefer if I stayed in the area of her work and waited for her. I get the tram to the city and walk from the city centre to home. While walking, I think to myself, do I want to go through this, am I ready to commit to someone who is demanding, self centered and possessive. Once home, I play a few computer games to chill out, as well as ringing Kim my best friend, I explain to her where I am and how I got there. I listen to a bit of Indie music and as I glance at the table, there is a book. I read it as Simone' photo is the cover of the book and it turns out to be a little book about her so I know everything about her. Her birthday, her favorite food, where she likes to hang out, everything I could ever want to know about her. I glance up and look at the time its 7pm and by chance Simone walks in the door. As she walks in the door, she puts down the shopping, unzips her dress and gets changed into her pj's. Which means instantly that its a night in. She lays down on the couch with her head on my lap while I continue to read about her. She asks me what I think, I kiss her and thank her for doing something which would enable me to know her better. I offer to cook dinner, and this is our first meal where we can sit down and not argue over something. I tell her she has a choice does she want to experience my Butter Chicken or Thai green curry. Thai Green it is! After dinner I ask her if she wants desert, and being that it was a lovely day, I offered to run downstairs to buy some gelati. Weirdly enough even though she has lived here for a few years, she has never experienced the gelati. Lemon is a must, same with after eight and some chocolate flavoured. I sit on the couch with Simone' head in my lap. I feed her gelati while we watch some movies she bought home from work with her. Chick flicks. Not normally what I watch, but hey, its our night in. "We need to find somewhere new soon" "why?" "Because I want a bigger place for us and for anyone else in the future" "What do you for anyone else?" "Ergh, it's too soon to talk about it, But I want kids" "Woah, Simone, I cant have kids. Its medically impossible for me to have them right now" "What because you dont sleep with men? There is a thing called IVF" "There is also a thing called Polycystic Ovaries too" "Sorry sweetie, I didnt know" "besides Simone, I dont want kids. Its too much responsibility and I dont know if I can handle it. Im sorry" "Can we still look for another place sweetie?" "Yes Simone we can, but only if it means having a spa and a study" We make silly talk about putting the study in the bathroom with the spa and once we finish being silly, we realise its late at night. I go to change in my pjamas, but Simone teases me "you won't need those tonight, tonight we make love" "Well! If thats how you feel then, Im going off to have a shower." "i'll join you" After 5 minutes in the shower, Simone joins me, except, she only joined me because she couldnt wait for me to get out of the shower, She wants to make love in the shower, She pushes me up against the shower wall, and starts to kiss me, from my forehead downwards, Kissing me deeply, she runs her hands down my sides, She stops to tell me there is no work tomorrow. I ask her why not and she replies that she will be too busy spending time with me to go to work and she wants to end what she is doing at work. We get out of the shower, I head for the bed, but Simone has other ideas, We make love on the couch, on the floor, and finally we make it to bed. So much sex, but we still cant get enough of each other, its 4am by the time we fall asleep, and even then we are giving each other little kisses everywhere that are the sweet and short type but yet so sensual. I wake at 9 only to find two bags packed on our bed and Simone making me museli and yogurt for breakfast, "hurry up and get dressed and eat, we need to be in the car by 9:30" I go as fast as I can, but this is a massive bowl of food, "Why you feed me so much, you trying to fatten me up so you can cook me or something?" "You will need energy for today, I have something special in mind that I know you will love." "How do you know?" "Because I remember when you did these certain activities when you were younger and you were in such a rut, but you came back so much happier even if it was just for the day" "Want to give me a clue then?" Simone hands me a headlight and a hardhat. "we are going caving aren't we?" "Yes we are, and we are going to other things too but I'm not telling you what they are, you can wait and see!" I finish my breakfast, I have a smoke, brush my teeth while having a very quick shower and get dressed. We race to the car and we are on our way, We drive to the caves in Flowerdale, my favorite caves ever, after a few hours of exploring, we drive to Healsville, "Whats here?" "Food and drink sweetie" "Are you going to ever call me anything else but sweetie?" "How about snookums, possum, babe, darling or honey?" "Yeah alright you made your point" We eat at a winery and we drink, Simone cant drink too much because she is driving, and she wont left me drink more then a glass of white wine because she wants to make it to our next destination instead of just the back seat of the car. We drive to Badger Creek, and I'm told we must walk to the top of the weir to find our next activity, We walk up the bendy track hand in hand, for the first time ever, even though no one is around we hold hands in public. Wallabies and kookaburra's are all around us and we stop to take some pictures. Once we finally make it to the top, there is a man, with two mountain bikes. "You know I get a head start right?" "Why? Dont you know how to ride a bike?" "Of course I do silly, But with the way you ride you wouldnt stay on the track for long." I give Simone 2 minutes to get far enough in front, and then off I go, I roll down the hill gently because I know I will gain speed anyways, I can see her further down the hill if I look off track. So I decide to pedal a little bit to catch up to her. I notice on my right side a little off track jump. I cant resist it and it doesn't look too dangerous. I take it and realise that its a shortcut to miss the bend. Im closing in on her now, and I yell out to her that im behind her so I dont scare her. We let our bikes roll down the road so we can take it all in, Once we get to the bottom, I can see a picnic set out for us. "Simone, please tell me this isnt another lunch" "Its afternoon tea since we didnt have morning tea as we were busy" We lay on the blanket and eat cheese and drink wine. Simone sits behind me and wraps her legs and arms around me, she pulls me back towards her for a cuddle and kisses me on the cheek, I turn my head around to face her and kiss her on the lips. "We have to get going soon, We have one more thing to do before we go home" "where are we going now? Skydiving?" "Nope! Its a surprise and if I told you, then it wouldn't be a surprise now would it?" We race each other to the car, and I look out the back window as we drive off, and its then I notice life vests on the back seat, I know where we are going, but I dont say anything. While we drive back towards the city I place my hand on Simone' thigh while she drives "Thank you for today" "You're welcome" "I love you" "I know you do, and I love you" I fall asleep for a little bit of the drive, I feel Simone' lips on mine, she kisses me softly to wake me up and tells me to get out of the car. I stretch and have a smoke to wake myself up, its close to dinner time, so we dont have a lot of time left. However, this time we have a two seat canoe, and the yarra river. We paddle quietly downstream, I ask her how we are going to get back to the car, and she told me its ok, she has someone to drive her car to where we are ending our little trip. An hour later, we arrive at our destination. Her sister Josie is there, I didnt think she knew about me, let alone about Simone, "Simone, isnt that your sister" "Yes it is." "I thought she didnt know" "I told her and she is happy for both of us and she said from what I told her about you that she loves you already" After allowing Simone to get out first so if the canoe tips she doesnt get wet, I'm formally introduced to her sister. Her sister whispers in my ear "this is the first time I've seen Simone with anyone, let alone seen her so happy, if you hurt her I will kill you" I look at her and tell her very softly so Simone doesnt hear, "If I ever hurt her, I would want to be killed." Simone looks at both of us, and asks us what we are talking about, I tell her the weather. Simone knows its a lie and asks her sister how many threats to kill me did she make. "Just the one" "Its ok Simone. I take no offense to it." We part ways with her sister and drive home I ask if there is anything else I have to look forward to at home. "Just myself spoiling you rotten" "Why is today so special Simone?" "Because it just is." Arriving home I wander off to have a quick shower and check my emails. Hey Jac, Was wondering if you want to come back to work in the warehouse. Double your paypacket with flexible hours, with 14 staff working under you. Let me know if you are interested. Your Future Boss again Daz "Simone" I yell. She comes running to see why I'm yelling. "whats wrong?" "Nothing but you wont believe this! I just got an email asking me to return to work with a better paycheck and 14 staff under me" "Well what do you think? Are you going to take it?" "Why dont we talk about it over dinner." We order pizza, margharita with ham and mushroom. "So what about work? How will it affect us" "Well we need to talk about what each other is going to do, You said you wanted out of what you are doing, so what do you want to do instead?" "I want to teach at the Uni again, I dont want to be stuck in an office and then going out all the time at night for meetings, I want to settle into home life with my love." "You want nights and weekends together where we dont have to go out of the city or interstate unless its for a holiday?" "Yes, that is exactly what I want. And I want to teach business again" "Well then you have to allow me to buy a car. And we need to buy new furniture and find either a house or apartment that we both love." We look through some real estate books that have been sitting on the coffee table for the past two weeks. Even though we have different books, they have some of the same sales in it. "Look this one" "how did you know! I was just about to say that one" I put the book down and we look at the one book. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a study and the main bathroom has a spa, the balcony is bigger and there is a swimming pool on the roof. And a communal gym in the building. The price isnt too bad, its not out of our range, infact the price itself is perfect. "Tomorow I will ring the real estate and tell them to hurry up and sell this place. And organise to go see this place, I cant believe it is so close to the uni." "Well orgainise it for the afternoon, I want to go speak to Daz in the morning about work." "Oh hey, why do you want to buy a car if you dont know how to drive?" "I need a car that you can teach me how to drive in" After a great night of sleep and love making again, I wake feeling fresh. Simone has already left for work and I'm home alone, I have a smoke and get ready to go see Daz. My phone rings and its Simone. "Hey honey, whats up?" "I've organized for a 3:30pm viewing of the place and we have a buyer for our place maybe, they are coming over with Jenna at 5pm, Do you think we will make it back in time?" "Sure. I will ring Daz and tell her I will be in a little later to talk to her and before I go I will give this place a clean." "Are you sure you can do it by yourself?" "Yeah, Its not that hard, make the bed look pretty, pick up your clothes off the floor, sweep mop and dust. And give the kitchen and bathroom a clean, With music on I should get it done in under two hours" "ok sweetie, let me know if its too much for you and I will come home." "No stay at work, I like being the domesticated one." I clean the apartment and make the place look pretty, I so better get lots of hugs and kisses tonight. I run out the door and make it just intime to see Daz before she goes off for lunch at the pub. "Hey sup! Why dont you come to the pub for lunch?" "Yeah alright, as long as we can talk business" "Sure, but you so have to tell me what you have been doing." "haha ok I promise to tell you how I'm madly in love with a woman and we are buying an apartment tonight maybe." "You have a girlfriend, an apartment all in a matter of 3 months?" "Yeah and you are forgetting a car as of next week" "Oh my, What in the world made you finally commit?" "Love" I tell Daz about everything. The night Simone came over and asked me to go for a drive with her, the birthday presents, everything. We decided that I can start work in 2 weeks at a higher pay that will let Simone and I live very comfortable. And we say our goodbyes. "Honey, I'm just calling to say I start work in two weeks, I'll be home in about 30 minutes so give me a call when you get this so I know if you are running on time or not. Love you" The train ride back to the city goes very fast for me, normally it is very slow and boring, but im excited. I have a wonderful partner, A soon to be fabulous job, and a new home. My phone rings just as im pulling into the train station "Hey honey" "Hey sweets, I just got home, Im having a quick shower before we go" "Ok, well I will be home in 5 minutes, just walking out of the train station" "Alright love you" "love you bye" I arrive home and find Simone in the bathroom drying her hair. She is wrapped in her dressing gown with nothing else on. I kiss her hello and she asks me what time it is. 2:30. "So I have enough time to show you how much I love you?" "Yes you do" Simone bolts out of the bathroom into the bedroom and chucks some clothes on. I look at her weirdly wondering how exactly she is going to show me how much she loves me with clothes on. "follow me and when I blindfold you dont take it off." We arrive on the ground floor, where she blindfolds me. Taking my hand and guiding me back in the lift, I think we go down to the basement, Either that or the car park. Simone kisses me on the cheek and slowly removes the blindfold. Sitting in front of me, is a purple Sazuki Swift. The car, I have dreamt of having. The one I was going to go out and buy. "Simone! I love it, but. I said I wanted to buy it!" "I know, but I wanted to surprise you, And I did say I wanted to give you everything." "Well then, I'm not going to make you return the car, but I'm buying the new furniture! And you have to let me pay for at least half of the new apartment" "sweetie, I get paid more then enough every week, I spend maybe a third of it every week and save the rest, I have a lot of money just sitting there, You can use your money for our holidays and for our new gadgets." "hmmm. We will see. But please stop buying me everything. It makes me feel like I can't do anything" Simone mentions that it is time to go, We head off to the new apartment and meet Jenna there. "How are we lovely ladies, The current owners would love to meet you both, And I want to make sure I make you both happy, so I really need to ask, How am I introducing you as?" "As partners Jenna" Simone tells her. "Ok well lets go have a look at the place of both your dreams." "As soon as we walk in, we notice the glass Paneling, behind it is the gym, We can't see in, but whoever is in there can see out. We get the lift to the 18th floor. Jenna guides us to the apartment, It has a cute little doorbell chime. A buisness woman answers the door. "welcome, please do come in. I'm Michelle, and this is Brian." We walk into the little foyer of the apartment and notice pictures on the wall, a place for coats and shoes and the lighting fictures, really show this place off. We arrive to the lounge room which then opens to the kitchen and the dining room. Open floor planning. On one side of the Lounge room is one bedroom and bathroom, while on the other side is the master bedroom and study. Simone whispers in my ear "I've seen enough have you?" "Hang on baby, lets check out the other rooms" Michelle gives us a tour of the main bedroom and bathroom and study as well as the other two rooms. We then go out to the balcony, and not only do we have a clear view of the city and the bay, we can also see the big mountains surrounding the city. "Right, so what do you two think so far?" I let Simone answer first. "I absolutely love it." And as I look at her with her big smile, I can see tears just begging to come out of her eyes. "I love it as well and would love to see the roof. But before we do, Michelle I have to ask, are there any problems at all with the apartment?" "None what so ever. Infact, it has been the best place that I have ever lived in." Jenna takes us to the roof where we can see the swimming pool. "i'll give you both a minute shall I?" Simone kisses me and wraps her arms around me. "You know, we can buy it right now, and even if the current apartment doesnt sell, we could rent it out and still have enough money." "Are you sure?" "What do you mean" "I mean are you sure you want this, An apartment with me, Commitment, Everything?" "You mean Am I sure I want to spend the rest of my life with you until death?" "Yeah something like that. I love this place as much as you do, But I only want to do this If it feel right for both of us" "Sweetie, It doesnt feel right, It feels perfect. So can we please go sign some paperwork?" I kiss Simone and agree that its time to go sign paperwork. We head back down to the apartment with Jenna in lead, Jenna informs Michelle and Brian of the price that we are willing to pay and they agree that its more then what they were asking for, but if we want to pay less we could. "No, This is how much this place means to us and this is how much we are willing to buy it for." Michelle opens a bottle of Champers and we celebrate together. Its getting close to 4:30 and we really need to go. We say our goodbyes and settle that its a 90 day period. Simone can barely drive the way home because she is so excited. And once we do get home and catch up with Jenna again, the prospective buyers are already there waiting for us. Peter and Karen are typical city workers, they want somewhere near work and entertainment and not have to use the car all the time. We show them around, and after 20 minutes they say they have seen enough and will get back to us. After saying our goodbyes. Simone kisses me and hugs me. "Now we can really start our lives together. Infact, Im going to call my sister, and my parents and get them to all come over. There is something I need to do." Josie arrives first, And I have no idea what Simone is planning to do, Its only once the three of us sit down, Simone tells us both that she wants to tell her parents tonight about us. Josie gives her a look. "You know if you tell them they will be against the idea but I will stand by your side. Both of you" Her parents arrive shortly after that. Simone introduces us and for now the seem fairly nice. "Ma, Pa, I need to talk to you." Both her parents sit down, and she starts. She looks nervous and her palms are sweaty. "Simone what is it that you need to say, tell us" "Jac is more then a friend. She is my partner and we are in love, and we just bought an apartment tonight." Her parents instantly look at me, And I dont know what else to do but to look at them and at Simone. "Simone, we know, You think when I sat on the couch the otherday, I didnt know someone was hiding behind it? Although I never told your mother that! But if you are happy, then Im happy for you." Her mother doesnt know what to say. She has tears which I think are of sadness. Josie tells her mother that it is ok "No No No, Im not sad, I just never thought Simone would ever be in love." We get out some cheese and wine, and the five of us sit around talking. They all ask me about my life, what I do for work, where I used to live and what I plan on doing in the future. I give them a quick story about my life, but I dont tell them about me being a teenager. I mention that Ive got a car, but I need to learn how to drive it. "Here give this guy a call" Simone' dad hands me a business card. "Tell him I sent him and he wont charge you, he owes me" "Thank you so much!" Pa gets up to have a smoke, I ask him if he would like some company, He agrees and we both go out onto the balcony. "You know, I don't know if anyone has told you, but if you hurt my daughter, Josie will kill you" I nearly choke on my smoke from laughing and I tell him "Josie has given me the talk already." We continue to smoke and talk about things. From fishing, to sports to the culture in and around melbourne. Pa is very easy to talk to. I mention to him that I find it easier to speak to peoples fathers than their mothers. He tells me to follow him in where he asks his daughters to take him for a walk to the gelati shop. Thus giving Ma and I time to talk. Once they leave I openly tell her "I find it really hard to speak to mothers, I know it may be hard to understand your daughter and I being together, But I do love her and I dont ever want to leave her or lose her." Ma tells me that it's all ok and that one day soon we should spend the day together to bond. She gives me a hug and welcomes me to the family. She pulls out her diary and asks when it is my birthday and how old I will be turning. And this is where it scares me. We never told them that I'm only about to turn 25. I take a breath and I tell her December 24th . "How old will you be dear" "Ma, Im going to be 25" "oh is that all? You look so much younger. I had initial doubts because I thought my daughter was dating a 20 year old" We talk a bit more and I tell her of the plans for the new apartment, She seems so interested that I even draw her a floor plan. Simone Josie and Pa return with gelati for everyone. "well don't you know how to kiss your loved one hello Simone" Simone kisses me quickly and softly. "sorry ma is that better?" "Much" We all sit there eating our gelati and watching tv. Ma invites us over for lunch on Sunday if we dont already have plans. Simone tells her we will have to wait and see. After a while, they all leave and we are all alone. We cuddle a bit, and discuss furniture and so on. Its a nice night, So we decide to go for a walk to the bottle shop and buy some beer and some wine. We sit on the balcony and drink while we talk. We cuddle into each other and eventually start kissing. Simone slips her hand around to my back and under my top, she slowly undoes my bra, and removes it. She lays on her back on the lounge chair, I lay on top of her, never to stop kissing her. She gropes me. I kiss her neck. I whisper in her ear that I love her. A tear falls down her cheek. I kiss it away. We have been together for a few weeks, and although we are moving fast, we feel like we have to make up for lost time. Simone tells me to get up. She runs inside to get something from the kitchen draw and she returns. "Close your eyes sweetie and do what I say" I close my eyes, "Kiss me on my forehead" I do. "Kiss me on the cheek" I do "Kiss my lips" I do. "Now hold my hand" I hold it ever so softly, her fingers slowly drawing on my palms. "I love you and I want you to commit to me forever." Before I can respond, I feel something on my finger. "Can I open my eyes" "Yes after I kiss you" Simone kisses me for what feels like an eternity. I look at my finger, There is a gold ring, with ten different stones on it. "One for every year baby" I kiss her again and again and again. I tell her that I'm all hers. We go to bed and make love. This time its even more passionately then ever before. I have never had someone hold me the way she holds me. Never had someone make love to me the way she does. We finally fall asleep. Cuddled together, with her arms around me.
