"What makes you think that I didn't sleep well?" Kris asked as she
got some soap to start washing Jessie's back.
"I've slept with you long enough to know when you aren't sleeping
well." Jessie told her as she turned to give Kris a kiss before turning
back around.

"I know... I'm sorry about that but it was just some things that
have been on my mind and something that I wanted us to talk about, but not

into her mind, they would be hard to get back out. She didn't like things
hanging over her and she wanted them settled. But for the moment, she let

like to be told what to do and she didn't like Kitty trying to fix hers and
Jessie's problems.

Kitty said not a bit put off by Kris's tone or by Jessie's stare.
"I'm not so sure that I like the way..." Kris was saying when she
felt Kitty grasp her hand.
"Please..." Kitty said and Kris saw the softness of Kitty facial

halt second before the angry stare left her eyes but Kris could see that
she was angry and she didn't like what Kitty was doing either.
"I know I'm sticking my nose where if doesn't belong but you're both
my friends and I feel like I can be of some help or at least I'm going to
try. I know that something has become between you two and..." She was

know what it is but I do know it isn't over some damn wallpaper. I was
born at night but it wasn't last night so you two are going to have to come

until all the problems are solved, no matter what they are."

"Well there are two things that we are dealing with or rather not

"But how will they affect your being able to fly?" Jessie asked.

if you give me some time to work up to it." Kris conceded.
"I can give you all the time that you need as long as I know that
you are willing to see me at least part ways and now I know that you can

back feeling a little relieved but not completely.
"Good, one problem down and now we are almost on our way to
shopping." Kitty said with a big smile that relaxed them all.
"So now let's talk about babies, why is that an issue with you about

"Because it won't be just her having a child, it will be us having a
child and I don't want to be a part time parent. I want to be there when he
or she walks for the first time or talks for the first time. I want to

you to be a mother to our child too but you can still fly and be a good

"I know that I can but I fear that I won't be as much a mother to

go to the mom to make it better. Well I want them to want to come to me as

"They will baby, with the love that you will show them, they'll know
that you can make it just as better as I can. We can figure it out, I
promise." Jessie said then she paused for a moment before adding in a
somewhat hesitant voice, "Or maybe you can take routes that will keep you
home more or fly less but still fly."
Kris looked into Jessie hopeful eyes and she saw that Jessie just
might have given her a solution that she hadn't thought about before. She
had been thinking about the long routes like the one she flew now because

didn't need to take this route; she just needed one to let her fly. "I

"So can we go shopping now?" Kitty asked.

then she turned her face back to Jessie. She gave her a little grin an

This got a laugh from all of them, and then Kris got up off the bed

fixing what ailed them and that was enough for now.

When they got back home, they set right into getting the house that
