                             THE PARTY TO REMEMBER

What a dull night Reba thought as she sat at her desk after playing a
number of video games. Including Sims life stories and ATV auto racing,
she looked at the clock 6 her friends would be at her house in a hour for
her Halloween party. She thought back to Halloween parties of years past
when her phone rang it was her friend Elizabeth. She wanted directions
again for the 5 time.
          Reba then got up there was a knock at the door wondering who it
could be, there was her girlfriend Jenna. Jenna was wearing a cop
uniform. "Oh my god!" was all Reba could manage but she was really
thinking. "Dam she is so sexy I wish my friends weren't coming now."
She thought as she walked across her apartment to her kitchen, and then
begins to talking out cups for the punch as Jenna stood watching her.
          Jenna took a hold of her suddenly and spun her around and
kissed her so tenderly and wanting so, it left Reba seeing stars. I
walked into the room then and made my entrance.  "Hi Star, how are
you?" Reba asked wrapping her arms around Jenna. I had been Reba's room
mate now for 4 years and counting. During the time I had seen more sex
and more drama then I would see in 20 years. "I am well thanks." I said
as I helped myself to some punch.
          Reba and Jenna went into her room and I no doubt knew what they
were doing. As I walked over to the computer, and signed on my name and
continued to type my latest college paper. It was on the history of New
Hampshire. These papers are so dull I thought as I worked. There was a
knock at the door, I saw out of the corner of my eye Reba run too it. 4
of our friends from high school ran into the room all screaming and
coming over to hug me.
          Then my friend Amber said to her girlfriend Kim is flipping
out. "Oh my god, I locked the house key in the house!" I thought here
we go every time I see Amber it seems she was having a mental freak out.
I wondered then if the doctors would ever get her meds right. Kim just
was trying to calm her when Reba called me into the bed room alone with
her. "What the fuck was that?" she asked looking into my eyes. I walked
over to the bed and sat down.
          "What do you think it was? Just another of the moments she has
when she is not on her meds." I said. We both agreed then that Kim
needed help and called in Amber to talk to her we persuaded Amber to take
her to the doctors. Then they left and I knew that Amber was talking Kim
to the doctors. I then settled back to my work and put ear phones on so I
couldn't hear Reba having sex.
          I couldn't remember just then the last time I had sex. There
were days that I wanted it so bad I could feel it in my stomach. I
suddenly felt lonely I took the phone out side sat down on a lawn chair
and called my friend Hannah.  However, she was not home. So I went to my
bedroom took my car keys out and went to my local bar.
          The bar room was loud as I entered. The entire bar stools taken
and 4 butch woman playing pool. I thought here I go again as I asked the
bar tender for a rum and coke and sat back and watching him serve other
customers. He was a big man in his 50's and was wearing a tux. So much
for the party I thought. As a woman in a blue dress walked slowly across
the room checking everyone out as she went. I sat there watching her then
she stopped at me and smiled. "Hi, my name is Alexis James, and yours?"
 She said ordering a drink for herself and myself. I sat there in shock
not knowing what to answer. Finally I got the nerve to speak. "My name
is Star Jones" I said with a shaky voice. I wondered if she heard of my
name before seeing that I was a top lawyer in the area. Even thought I
lived home with a roommate.
          As I thought of sitting at home I was happy that I was out and
focusing on myself and my social life for once. After all it had been
three years since I have dated anyone in general. I thought my friends
can entertain themselves. Alexis went on to tell me she was a doctor and
worked at the local hospital.  I couldn't believe me my ears a doctor
how lucky I am. We talked about everything under the sun. As we took
turns ordering drinks.
          About and hour later I told her I had to go and slipped her my
number. When I got back to my house Reba and all my friends were doing
twister. At their age I thought. I put my stuff away and went out to the
party. I had fun that night however, no as much fun as I had at the bar.
Too think I waited for my party too.
          A week later I was sitting at my desk at work when my
receptionist told me the "doctor that was working on one of my cases
were here." I saved my work put some papers away and answer. "Very
well," Little did I know how well? By this time you are probably
guessing, it is the doctor from the bar well you are right. As she walked
in I almost fell out of my chair. However, I didn't I just sat there
transfixed for words. So she sat down in front of me and put a file on
the table.
          We talked over the case for some time then she asked me to
lunch. That was the beginning to a wonderful 6 year relationship. That
now I don't regret and all because of a Halloween party and a fight that
drove me to leave my own house. Now as I sit in my bedroom dreaming I
wonder what is the next step that I will take in my life. Well dear
reader read on you may find out.
