Friday, April 30, 1999 had come to pass. It was Beltane, the eve of May
Day and a frivolous day of celebration at that. The Sunnydale High
Faculty
had granted the Halliwells permission to hold their annual event at the
athletic park on the proviso that it would be a Program sponsored event,
which
it was.

The park that afternoon was full with people that came to either observe
or participate fully. The Programees participating that day had to be
naked, but could
be allowed to wear an assortment of colorful eye-masks as they took turns
dancing around the Maypole. It was a good ten to at least 13 feet high
made from the
wood of a sacred held dear in Wiccan lore. As each naked Programee took
turns dancing around the Maypole, wrapping red and white ribbons around
the makeshift
monolith, Willow and Tara took a rest to take in what the others were
doing. They, too, were naked and in eye masks of either red and gold or
white pink as they saw with wonder what was transpiring here, as well.

"My, it's such a wonderful celebration you have here, Tara. Could you
please tell me more about Beltane?"

"Sure, Willow. It's a celebration of springtime and procreation. That
dance around the maypole that we see before our very eyes symbolizes the
union between the Goddess and the God as they are about to conceive a
child of their own. Beltane's a celebration of fertility and fecundity.
It's a vivacious and raucous festival afterall."

Willow immediately understood what Tara, her guide and mistress in the
Wiccan faith during the past year, was talking about as she could make
out at least 10 students
taking turns dancing around the maypole, intertwining red and white
ribbons clockwise and counterclockwise in a joyously rapturous frenzy
that was somehow able to take their minds off of the impending final
exams and commencement which were sure on their way.

"Wanna get some mead, Willow, my beloved goddess?"

"Sure, why not."

The redhead Programee allowed the blonde sophomore to take her by the
hand as they both made their way to the mead stand. Once there, Tara was
recognized by the attendant and was immediately given two horns filled to
the brim with the libation made from honey. With mead horns in hand, they
both snuck off to someplace private so they could really celebrate.

Buffy, Xander, and Kennedy were busily doing the ritual dance around the
pole as she began to notice that Willow and Tara were gone, even while
she wore her brightly decorated eye mask. She stopped for a minute and
relinquished her turn at the string to go and look for them.

Meanwhile......

Willow and Tara were alone together in a secluded spot as they sat on the
soft green grass, taking turns sipping each other's mead horns with their

Tara's while Tara sipped upon Willow's as they reveled uproariously in

It was no sooner that Buffy was able to find them both together, soon to

being naked out in the lukewarm air of an end of April day as she quietly

And with that, everyone present cheered the event as the celebration
continued until a little after dark that Friday afternoon.


It was the week before finals and commencement in the first full week of
May 1999. The students were getting ready to take their tests as the
senior class was readying for graduation. Academic activity was up and
running in full bloom and force as word was spreading of who would be in
this year's nude pageant. At lunch, faculty and fellow upperclass
students were stationed all over campus at certain tables handing out
papers to students.

This was the process by which ten suitable participants would be chosen
by the student body to take part in the annual Miss Nude Sunnydale High
1999, and it was a secret process that only the faculty and senior
graduating class had concocted. While the voting and decision making
process was going about, Buffy and Faith were alone together outside on
the upper quad area as they laid down on the grass under the shade of an
availble tree in each other's arms. They knew that this school year's
Program would end Friday with the pageant as they both took turns
reflecting on the past events of this year, eventually coming to the
subject of their peers.

"Faith, do you think Xander and Cordelia will be together next school
year?"

"It all depends, Buff. You should know that Cordy's gonna be a senior and
once she turns 18, Xander'll be off limits to her despite his enormous

"I know, I know, so...were able to make peace with your ex-girlfriend,
Tara, Faith?"

"You mean Ryanne?"

"Yeah, something like that, but I was hoping to guide my own kid sis next
school year though."

"I know you want to be even closer to her, but there can't be any sense
of nepotism at all whatsoever..."

"You mean favoritism, right?"

"Yeah, something like that, so were you aware that most of the student
body at school's voting for you to take part in the pageant this coming
Friday....oops!"

Buffy looked up at Faith and was wanting to know more about it.

"Faith, why would anyone pick me to be in this stupid pageant? Wasn't it
enough for me to be the cover girl for the Program Monthly's YearEnd
Issue with me  as the featured attraction?"

Faith looked down to Buffy as she stared into her beloved's own baby blue
eyes as she imparted this pledge to her.

"Worry not, my beloved. I promise you I will and shall....."

And with that said, they both kissed each other just as the school bell
rang for 5th period.........

In the library for her study period, Buffy was busily going over her
notes, facts, and figures she would need to be bone up on, so to speak
for finals next week. She went over everything she had from her classes:
English, Social Studies, Sex Ed and of course math in which she had
become the most adept at under the continued and humbling guidance of
Miss Jaren Fujikawa. She quietly went over everything she had learned
thus far, but she knew that her classes were not cumulative, though, but
she felt it was better to be prepared than not at all. As she quietly
went through her notes from all her classes, she was cautiously
approached by a familiar face.

Nicolina Fenwicke had come to thank her up front and personally for
helping her change into the new person she had become: her deep brown
hair was straightened out in a flexible manner and her blue eyes sparkled
from the moment she laid eyes upon the one who had changed her. Her
mother had gotten rid of her thick eyeglasses and was now wearing contact
lenses which seemed to compliment her improved look.

"Oh, hey Nikki. What can I do you for?"

"I just wanted to stop by here just to thank you quickly before Miss
Calendar sees us talking, so....thanks....."

and shook it. This caught Buffy by surprise somewhat, but she felt
disappointed by that gesture, but that wasn't all.....

"You think we have time talk in between study period and the final class
of the day, Buffy?"

"Sure Nikki...."

"O.K. See you then...."

Leaving Buffy to her studies, Nicolina walked away with no one else
watching her within sight.

Buffy had hoped to be kissed or even made love to by Nicolina, but
decided to wait until the bell rings as she went over some final
questions from her notes before the bell rang....

Outside the library, Buffy and Nicolina were conversing with each other
quickly as Buffy needed to head on over to Sex Ed Class across the way.

"Did you wanna get together with me later after school?"

"Gee, Nikki. I dunno if I can because my girlfriend usually takes me home
and she rides a motorcycle and...."

"Look, here's my number if you get the chance", said Nicolina as she
handed Buffy a piece of paper with her name and phone number scribbled
onto it.

"I promise I'll call you once finals are finished! I promise I

Nicolina waved her good-bye to Buffy as the blonde Programee sped her way
to the rotunda classroom where Sex Ed was held.

Once inside the mini-amphitheatre, everyone present was at attention as
Dr. Amelia Janus began to go over what would be included in the final.

"As you all know, students, finals are coming next week which brings us
to the test to be conducted in this classroom. It will be on everything
you have all learned about human sexuality from reproduction to positions
and techniques you have all demonstrated here inside this hall throughout
the year. You will also be tested on the steps of safe sex as well as the
methods of contraception which will make this test the most important one
you have ever and will ever take in this classroom. Now is the time to
ask any questions you might have on the final......"

Buffy raised her hand as Dr. Janus pointed to her.

"Yes, Buffy Summers?"

"Will we have to know about the human reproductive organs as well as the
positions?"

"Yes. Everything you have learned here in this classroom will be on the
final. Any others?"

Xander raised his hand up and asked Dr. Janus a questions in which she
pointed out to him," yes Xander, you will be required to know about the
methods of contraception and positions of sexual intercourse including a
refresher on one particular style so if you will all please take off all
of your clothes and gather around on the floor with a partner of your
choice immediately."

Everyone in class did as they were told: they got naked and teamed up
with a partner of hers or his own choice as they were about to go over
the one position that needed to be gone over.

"Everyone teamed up with a particular partner?" Everyone gave their
answers as Dr. Janus instructed everyone to be seated on the floor. Buffy

him as Principal Giles called for order amongst the teachers.

"Have we all decided which ten Programees have been chosen by you, their
9th grade teaching faculty, to undertake this event?"

"Yes, we have, Mr. Giles and Miss Mansey", said Dr. Janus as she
presented the list of the ten chosen participants for this year's nude
pageant. Both of the teachers's superiors looked the list over carefully
and thoughtfully until finally.....

"The ten participants have been chosen and has been decided.Let the
pageant begin!"

Meanwhile.....

It was at the Cabot house that Laura and her mother, Bevanne, had serious
conversation with Buffy about her eventual guidance of their only child
and grandchild. She was asked to come to their house by Davide who had
asked her mother's permission for them to consult with her about next
school year.

"I'm sure you will make a fine guide to my daughter come next year, Buffy
Summers. My wife and your teacher have recommended you to show our only
child the ropes of the Program and to not be ashamed or afraid of her
sexuality. I know you can do this. Davide thinks you are the most
eligible."

"I dunno know if I can, though, Ms. Cabot."

"I'm sure you are able to, Buffy. In fact, my mother knows in her heart
that you will help our daughter accept her body and herself for who and

"Do you really think I'm capable of the impending task at hand, Ms.
Cabot?"

"We know you are..."

It was just then that the door opened and Davide walked in for the night.
Looking to see Buffy had come by her asking, she was pleased.

"Buffy, I'm glad you could make it. I see you've met my wife and
mother-in-law."

"Yes I have, Miss Cabot and thanks for inviting me. Anything else that I
should know about?"

"For right now, nothing else, but come this Friday, you'll know and find
out for yourself..." said Davide to Buffy with a smile across her face.

Buffy tried to ask about meeting Ryanne before she had to leave for home,
the Cabots told her that it would be best to wait until the start of the
new school year for her to meet her charge.

And for the rest of the week, everything was calm before the big
finale....

MISS NUDE SUNNYDALE HIGH 1999

It was already Friday afternoon, the weekend before finals. May 7th to be
exact and when the 6th period bell was rung to end 5th period, an
announcement was made by Miss Mansey to all the students scrambling for
their final class of the day and week.

"We want all students to please proceed to the buses and board them for
there will be a special assembly at the Amphitorium at once in an orderly
fashion!"

Upon hearing that, the entire student body at Sunnydale High quickly and
calmly boarded the buses parked outside and waiting for them as they all
had headed towards the Amphitorium for a special event.

Once inside, every student regardless of grade was allowed to sit
anywhere in the venue: the side seated bleachers and the balcony area as
Principal Giles made the stunning announcement.

"Everyone may I please have your undivided attention?!"

The students quickly took their chosen seats in the amphitorium as
Principal Giles continued his announcement.

"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls and students of all ages, it is my
privilege and honor to welcome you one and all to the annual Miss Nude
Sunnydale High Pageant for 1999!"

Even the families were there as they all cheered their approval as the
pageant was about to begin.

The red curtains were rolled up and the school band played the fanfare as
the 10 Programees chosen for the event made their way down the catwalk,
posed briefly, and strutted back towards the stage. They were all nude.
Buffy Summers, Nicolina Fenwicke, Willow Rosenberg, Susan Mills, Masako
Nakamura, Haden Coe, and four more
9th graders made their presence known for all to see in their full naked
glory!
It was at this time that Principal Giles handed the microphone over to
Assistant Principal Mansey as she proceeded to announce the first of the
two part competition.

"Ladies and gentlemen, at this time, we would like to begin the first
part of our two part competition. Each of the ten participants in this
year's pageant will be judged on poise, presentation, presence,and
achievement through the entire 1998/99 school year. As your name is
called up, please present yourself before me on the pedestal as I will
interview on what the Program has done for you and what you have learned
from it as you will be required to answer 5 questions from the subjects
you have learned during the course of the school year. When I call your
name, you wil please walk down the runway to the pedestal and proceed to
be interviewed. The first one will be....
Nicolina Fenwicke...."

Buffy and the other of the ten participants watched as Nicolina made her
way down to the pedestal to be interviewed in her entire nakedness before
a live audience. Buffy was nervous and she knew it. This came as an even
bigger surprise to her and she was shocked to be chosen to participate in
the pageant by not only the upperclassmen and peers, but by the faculty
at school. She watched nervously as each of the others were being
interview until it was eventually her turn to come on down. Buffy, having
grown extremely confident in her nudity, strutted her way down the
catwalk seductively for all to notice and cheer as she made it to the
pedestal and proceeded to be grilled by the second M.C.

"Buffy Summers, how was your experience in the Nudity in School Program
this year, and how has it changed you, and what have you learned from
your time in the Program?"

Her courage up and feeling undaunted, Buffy poised herself
diginified-like as she replied the following:

"I have learned a lot from being in the Program. I've learned that you
should not ever be ashamed of your body and to proud of your sexuality.
Also, you should be willing to try out new experiences and be able to
learn from them, like going beyond your boundaries and exploring your
limits as a person. And finally, I would like to thank not only Faith, my
girlfriend who has guided me through this year and seen it through with
me, but to also to thank Miss Fujikawa for her own academic guidance and
to Miss Cabot for her courage in teaching me the value of discipline and
hard work. That is all....."

Everyone in the audience cheered to a standing ovation leaving Jaren to
be moved to tears as she silently gave her appreciation to her top
student.

Once the cheering had died down, it was time for Buffy to answer the 5
questions.

"Buffy, the first question will be....what is the answer to the equation
of 2x2+2?"

"The answer is number six."

"Good, now who was the last man to sign his name on the Declaration of
Independence in 1776?"

"The answer is John Hancock."

"Now what are one of the of the main methods of contraception?"

"The answer is the condom."

"Now what does a district attorney do?"

"A district attorney is an attorney who must prosecute criminal
wrongdoing to the fullest extent of the law."

"And finally, who do you believe should be allowed to be coronated Miss
Nude Sunnydale High for 1999?"

There was silence in the audience as Buffy thought long and hard about
this one. She never really thought she was truly beautiful at all despite
her time in the Program so she gave them what she felt she needed
everyone to hear.

"I believe that Nicolina Fenwicke should be coronated Miss Nude Sunnydale
High 1999 because it doesn't matter because real beauty is what's inside
that should count the most."

And with that proclamation, everyone stood up and brought the house down
with their claps and cheers. It took more than ten minutes to quiet down
the entire audience as the first of the two part competition came to a
close.

It was time for the final leg of the pageant: the talent portion!

Each of the ten Programees had something to offer: bellydancing,
gymnastics, yoga, and even hula-hooping....all in the buff! It was
Buffy's turn to prove her worth in the talent portion as she put on some
ballet shoes and danced her heart out with a pair of feathery fans to
tease and flatter the audience until finally it was time for the ten
participants to return to the stage for the winner of this year's pageant
to be announced.

"Now if we will have everyone's attention, we will now announce the
winner of the annual 1999 Miss Nude Sunnydale High Pageant!"

An envelope was given to both Principal and Assistant Principal and the
name was read aloud.

"The winner for Miss Nude Sunnydale High 1999 shall be....Buffy
Summers!!!!"

There was mass chaos and pandemonium when Buffy was announce the winner
as she was paraded before the M.C.'s to be presented with the crown, sash
in the school colors, and a bouquet of roses for all to see. Not only her
mother and kid sister was present to see this through, but also Miss
Fujikawa and Faith had come up to the stage and hugged her with all their
mights and hearts.

That day back in May of 1999 was a special day indeed for Buffy Summers.
She had triumphed over seemingly insurmountable odds to finish the rest
of the year with a bang and on top in rare form. She had survived an
attack by protesters and Angel's girlfriend, Darla. She had survived
being nearly pregnant and finally, she did learn something from her
experience in the Program.....

It does not matter if you are beautiful, strong, and sexy on the outside,
but only on what is inside of you that counts!

Buffy would eventually learn that lesson and take it to heart as the
years would progress. She would be experienced and wiser and be able to
provide new programees with the guidance necessary to make it through the
program on their own terms.

And as the finals were taken and seniors for this year had graduated, the
year end edition of the Program Monthly had come out on Commencement Day,
the entire student body were captivated and taken by the fact that Buffy
had won the pageant and was Programee of the Year. She was the most
beautiful girl in the entire school, but she needed to see that for
herself.

And by the way, Buffy passed all of her classes and has been on good
academic terms. What will the turn of the new century school year bring
forth to Sunnydale High?

Only time will tell and by then things will run their course and will
remain to be seen as to whether the Program. The Nudity in School Program
that is will survive into the  next century or so......
