?Afrah where do you think you?re going at this time of the night,? her
mother asked.

Afrah answered, ?I am going for a walk.?

?At 2am in the morning you want to go for a walk?? mother asked.

?How long do think you?ll go on like this? It been three years n

Afrah said sitting down on the chair, ?Sorry mom, okay here I am sitting

After a while, she fell asleep.

 Sunday, she woke up late at around 10am. Had breakfast with her mother and
went shopping with her.

At the shopping mall, Afrah?s mom told her, ?Today I?ve decided to take

Afrah was stunned, ?Mom you are going nuts, first thing tomorrow I am
taking you to a neurologist to get your brain checked.?

Afrah said starting to get annoyed, ?MOM! You?re not going to make a fool

?Cool down, I won?t anything like that,? mother said stroking Afrah?s back.

Afrah said madly, ?Mom, please you don?t play such pranks. I don?t know
what?s gotten into you lately. You?re behaving kiddish.?

?Atleast I sometimes act like a kid and try to bring back my childhood
back. It isn?t easy being old all the time, sometimes old people like to
become kids to feel young. You on the other side are not enjoying your
young age and wasting your life all alone. I worry about you; I am not
going to be with you all the time. When I leave this world I want to see
you happy with someone,? mother said wiping her tears away.

Afrah held her mother?s hand, ?Mom I?ll find someone okay. Now stop
worrying, remember the doctor said less worry more happy. We got a shopping
list to get done with.?

They both entered the supermarket. Tore the shopping list in two halves,
one Afrah took and the other her mother. They went on with their shopping
wishing good luck to each other.

They had made up a game, that whenever they go for shopping. They tear the
shopping list in half and whoever gets the things on the list faster and is
at the counter first wins a treat to their favorite restaurant the loser
pays.

Afrah would often let her mother win and she would be happy taking her
mother anywhere she wanted to go for dinner. As always Afrah let her mother
win today too and they went for dinner where she wanted to.

The next day, Afrah went to work as her daily routine started. Her life was
monotonous. Three years, she was doing the same thing, work from Monday to
Saturday for long hours and spent Sunday with her mother. No change. She
liked it like that; she didn?t want anyone in her life as she had left her
heart with Tamarind. Afrah was happy the way she was living her life, but
her mother worried about her a lot, but Afrah tried to make it up to her
mother in one way or another.

One day, she received a call from the doctor regarding her mother. She went
to see the doctor regarding her mother?s issue. The doctor told her that
her mother is worried about something and that?s not doing any good for her
heart.

She went home, and checked on her mother who had gone to sleep early. Afrah
had a bath, made herself something to eat and she thought about her
mother. She knew what she had to do now, even if it meant to lie to her
mother, atleast it?ll make her happy and she?ll stop worrying as most of
her life she has always worried about her.

A few days passed
  and one Sunday morning, Afrah and her mother were having breakfast. Afrah
drop the bombshell on her mother, ?Mom, I like a girl in my office.?

Afrah?s mother was so happy, ?Really, when am I going to meet her.?

?Mom, I haven?t even talked to her yet. I just said I like her,? Afrah
said.

Mother said, ?When are you going to ask her out? I can?t wait to meet this

her mom crossing her arms.

Her mother stood up and hugged her daughter, ?Oh! Dear I?m more than
happy. I am so happy, we need to celebrate that you liked someone
atleast. We?re getting somewhere.?

Afrah knew that she was lying to her mother big time, but atleast that was
making her happy.

Afrah tried to find someone who could act to be her girlfriend, but weeks
passed, she didn?t find anyone and her mother was getting impatient. Afrah
had a few friends, so she asked their
  help, but all of them said no. It was harder then Afrah had thought, so
the last option that she could think of was ask her secretary to help her.

The next day, she was nervous and called her secretary in, ?Hi! Cecil could
I please have a word with you,? Afrah asked her softly.

?Sure Afrah,? Cecil said walking into Afrah?s office.

When Afrah had started work, from that day on Cecil was her secretary. They
were about the same age and good friends too. Though, Afrah didn?t talk
much about her past, Cecil had told Afrah everything about her. S
 ecretly, Cecil had a thing for Afrah, as Afrah was always mysterious and
keeping to herself all the time.

Afrah asked Cecil to sit down. Afrah was very nervous and Cecil could see
her nervousness, as she was fidgeting with her fingers, trying to look for
something and avoiding to look at Cecil. Cecil had never seen Afrah this
nervous; she gave her time.

Afrah said uneasily, ?Cecil, I need your help??

Just as Cecil was about to answer Afrah?s cell rang. She excused herself
and picked up the phone. It was the doctor who had called her regarding
  her mother as she was in an accident.

Afrah hurried to the hospital as fast as she could, she ran to the room
where her mom was admitted, but she wasn?t allowed as she was still under
observation in the ICU room. She sat outside the room waiting for the
doctor to come out. When the doctor did she was told that they are sorry
they couldn?t do anything to save her, she was brought in too late.

Afrah was numb. She asked the doctor if she could go in which she was
allowed. Her mother was covered with a white sheet over her; Afrah went
closer and gently pulled the sheet down her mother?s face. She just looked
at her mother as tears rolled down her face, kissed her mother?s forehead
and cov
 ered her face.

She came outside the room, where the doctor was still waiting for her and
asked him, ?Which formalities do I have to complete??

The doctor said, ?I am sorry Afrah.?

Afrah didn?t say anything, she completed all the formalities and did
everything all by herself. The funeral ceremony was held the next day and
her mother was buried.

Once she had sorted things out, she went to the office
 where everyone gave their condolences. She was quiet all day long, Cecil
stayed close to Afrah comforting her, but Afrah was stoned. She went to see
her boss and asked her to be transferred to the company back home, if it?s
possible. She was told to wait for a few days and the boss would see what
he can do.

Cecil was really concerned about Afrah, because she was always quiet and
only talked when it was business. She had locked herself inside and didn?t
want any contact with anyone as she stayed in her own world. It was she and
her work only. She worked late until the night, most of the time spending
her time in the office.

After a few months her transfer was granted and within a month s
 he could go back from where she had runaway. She was thinking if she could
handle going back, but she had to do it for her mother always knew better
than her. It was hard for her to go back, but she had decided that there
was no point of running away and if she hadn?t runaway from before, her mom
would have still been with her. She was blaming herself for the death of
her mother. Everyday she would be accusing herself for all the pain that

She started packing up her stuff and didn?t ask anyone for help, but Cecil
popped in at her apartment and helped her out. By evening they were mostly
done, Afrah made them both a cup of tea and they sat in the balcony sipping
it quietly.

Cecil asked, ?Afrah you never told me about you??

Afrah replied, ?There?s nothing to know about me Cecil.?

Cecil said, ?You hide so much Afrah, you keep everything to yourself. You
need to talk it out; it will make you feel better. I am always here to lend
you an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on.?

Afrah said, ?Thanks Cecil, but I am fine.?

Afrah only talked when Cecil asked her something. In the evening, Cecil
left and Afrah did the remaining packing to keep herself busy so that she
wouldn?t think of things.

All the paperwork was completed and she had gotten her ticket and passport
in her hands. She bid goodbye to all her colleagues and she had requested
them not to give her a farewell party, but Cecil wouldn?t take no for an
answer so she took Afrah out for dinner. They had a good time, Afrah
laughed at Cecil?s jokes and she made Cecil laugh too, but all that was
just acting. Cecil was pleased that she had made Afrah laugh, but least did
she know that Afrah had gotten really good in hiding her feelings and act
in these past three years.

She called her friends back home to tell them that she was coming back.

Cecil dropped Afrah at the airport and bid her goodbye. Afrah boarded the
plane and in a way for the first time in a long time she felt relaxed. She
thought maybe it?s because she was going back home or she was going to see
Tamarind, but she asked herself that was she ready to see Tamarind as
Mrs. Brian Fields. Just saying her name it hurt her, but she wished that
Brian made her happy.

The plane landed, she was nervous, but she said to herself that she can do
it. She stepped out of her arrival gate and there they were,
  all three of them Elma, Sarah and Sandy. Afrah was happy to see them and
so were they. They hugged each other, and talked as they loaded Afrah?s
luggage into the car. They were talking a mile a minute, never stopping,
but not did anyone mention Tamarind and neither did she ask though she
wanted to know.

On they way to Afrah?s home, Sarah said, ?We have cleaned up your house and
so you can get settle in. You don?t have to worry about anything.?

Afrah said, ?Thanks Sarah. I really appreciate your help.?

Sandy

Elma said as she was the one driving the car, ?I am sorry about your mother

They didn?t bring up that subject and talked about all other things. Afrah
was happy to see her friends she had missed, as she always kept to herself

Afrah got settled in and all her friends helped her unpacked. They ordered
pizza and it was a long time since she had pizza with her friends or with a
group of friends. Afrah was enjoying her time with her friends, she was
content.

At night, Afrah went for a walk, taking in all that she had left
behind. She passed by Tamarind?s house, lights were on, but she didn?t go
there and stood outside the house looking at it, as if she was looking at
Tamarind. She felt happy and thought that maybe tomorrow she will come to
meet Tamarind?s granny.

The
  next day, she was happy and had a smile on her face. She didn?t know why
she was feeling so happy, but her heart was glowing. Her friends came by
and helped her with the remaining of the packing.

Afrah asked them when they were making lunch in the kitchen, ?Sarah, Elma
treating you right.?

Sarah said blushing, ?Treating me with love and care.?

Elma cam from behind, hugged Sarah and kissed her, ?No complains here my

Afrah said, ?Good for you, you?re saved by an angel in the name of Sarah,?
as they all laughed.

Sarah asked Afrah, ?What about you, did you find someone; it?s been more
than three years now you must have, right??

Afrah avoided that question and asked Sandy, ?What about you girl, who is
new in your life??

Sandy had a wicked smile, ?Girl you have missed a hell lot of things,

All of them had this smirk on their faces that were about to give me the

but you never left us with any contact so we were just praying hard that
one day you will contact us as you promised.?

Afrah said confused and scared, ?What?s all this about??

Elma continued, ?The day you contacted us, you just don?t know how happy we
were, but one person was the happiest person in the whole world, that
person announced it all over the town that you had called.?

Afrah said still confused, ?Okay!?

Sarah said taking over, ?We?re waiting for someone to come first, and then
we will spill the shocking news.?

Afrah said, ?Whose coming, girls you better start talking, you?re making me
nervous.?

Sandy said winking at her, ?Someone who is going make your heart skip a
beat.?

?Tammy is coming right,? Afrah had a slight happy and nervous expression on
her face.

They didn?t answer, but there smirks had turned into evil grins as if they
were up to something, but what exactly she didn?t know that.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Elma said, ?You might want to get
that.?

Afrah said nervous, ?No way I am getting the door, you get it.?

Elma said pushing Afrah towards the door, ?Trust me girl, you need
to. Let?s just say we?re getting back at you for not being in contact with
us for three years. So open the door.?

Afrah said stopping, ?Okay, okay I am going.?

Afrah nervously walked to the door, she passed a mirror on the way, but she
had a quick glance of herself in the mirror to check if was looking
okay. Elma said laughing, ?You look just fine girl, it?s not like you?re
meeting someone you?re going to fall in love with unexpectedly.?

Afrah got back at her, ?You never know,? she was opening the door, ?maybe I
will fall in love with the person behind this do?r.?

Standing right infront of Afrah was Tamarind looking beautiful as
ever. Afrah was shocked; she didn?t even finish her sentence. Tamarind
jumped on her and kissed her causing both of them to fall down on the
floor. At the far end, Elma, Sarah and Sandy w
 ere laughing and happy. Afrah was confused, shocked but she automatically
wrapped her arms around Tamarind as she kissed her lover back. Her heart
was glowing, getting big inside her chest, she was lost. When she got her
sense back, she pushed Tamarind away and moved away from her.

Afrah was out of words, she was looking at Tamarind and her three friends
at the far end. She was trying to sort out things in her head as everything
was swimming, as if she was being hurled in a cyclone.

Tamarind came closer to Afrah and put her hand on her arm and said, ?Hey
crazy baby??

 Afrah?s head was swimming, she was happy hearing Tamarind called her that,
but it wasn?t right she was telling herself. She was thinking that Tamarind
was already married and kissing someone else is unfaithful. She pushed
Tamarind?s hand away and spoke, ?You?re married Tammy, sorry I mean
Tamarind and kissing someone else is unfaithful.?

Tamarind laughed rolling down on the floor, her friends started laughing
too and leaving Afrah confused. Afrah thought that all of them had gone
crazy, she got up and tried to leave, but Tamarind held her back. She said,
?I am not married baby, I am still yours.?

Afrah was on cloud nine and asked Afrah, ?Repeat what you just s

Tamarind repeated happily, ?I am not married baby, I am still yours.?

Afrah asked again feeling her heart full of love, ?One more time, please.?

Tamarind repeated again happily as a tear rolled down her cheek, ?I am
still yours, only yours crazy baby.?

Afrah took Tamarind in her arms and hugged her tightly. She had never been
so happy in her life, she kept on hugging her love as tears flowed
 down her cheeks as Tamarind hugged her too, Afrah said, ?I love you Tammy,
I have missed you so much.?

Tammy said, ?Me too my crazy baby.?

Afrah let go of Tamarind and asked her what happened.

The whole story was told by Tamarind as all of them sat down at the kitchen
table, Tamarind next to Afrah holding each other hands, ?On the wedding
day, Brian called off the wedding. My granny was at ease, as she had found
out about us being in love with each other. Our friend Sandy here was the
one, who told her and Brian about us a day before the wedd
 ing and your departure, but they didn?t answer her then and disappointed
she went away. I guess Brian and my granny thought it over and Brain
decided to call it off, as my granny wanted to see me happy. She said who
would be better for me then you, though she didn?t expect a girl to girl
relationship, but all she wanted is to see me happy.

I immediately took a cab; still in my wedding dress I was coming to the
airport to stop you. I tried calling Elma, Sarah and Sandy, but couldn?t
get hold of them. I didn?t make it on time Afrah, your plane had already
flown away, and I was late by just a few minutes? Tamarind cried as Afrah
took her in her arms.

Tamarind continued, ?We searched for y

 frah said laughing lightly, ?I am taking you everywhere I go. I wish I had
left my contacts Tammy, maybe my mother would have still been with us,?
Afrah had fresh tears pouring down.

Tamarind said comforting Afrah, ?It?s okay baby, I guess whatever happened
was for a reason. Now we just need to get out life back and be happy
again. I know your mother will be happy knowing that you?re happy.?

Afrah said, ?Yeah that was one of her mission.?

Tamarind said looking into Afrah?s eyes, ?I love you crazy baby.?

Afrah said, ?I love you too sweetheart.?

Both of them had forgotten that their friends were sitting there looking at
them. Until Sandy spoke that?s when they realized they are not alone, ?Time
to leave the two love birds alone, they got a lot of catching up to do.?

Afrah blushed, ?I am sorry guys.?

Sandy said smirking, ?Its? okay we?re happy for both of you.?

They left Afrah and Tamarind alone. Both sat down on the couch and talked
for a while and all of sudden there was complete silence as they looked at
each other, holding each others hands and getting lost in their own world
through each others eyes. Just Afrah and Tamarind in their world of love,
feeling each other presence and being next to each other after a lonesome
three years separation.

Afrah moved closer and she softly kissed Tamarind?s lips. Tamarind kissed
Afrah back and wrapped her arms around her gently. They kissed each other
for a while, until they parted. Tamarind laid Afrah down on the couch as
she kissed Afrah again. Tamarind slowly started unbuttoning Afrah?s blouse,
but Afrah stopped her as she was feeling uncomfortab
 le.

Afrah said caressing Tamarind?s face softly, ?Baby, can we take it slow,
start all over. It?s been three years and today has really been a big
surprise and shock at the same time.?

Tamarind pecked Afrah?s lips, ?We can go slow sweetheart.?

They lay on the couch in each other arms and talked all night about what
they did for the past years. Tamarind had started her own company, just a
year old so that she could spend more time with her granny, until she was
healthy. Most of the time she had kept herself busy with the company and
taking car
 e of her granny. If it weren?t for her friends she too wouldn?t have had a
social life. Her friends would not take no for an answer and would take her
out to parties, dinners and outings to keep her from getting lonely and
depressed.

Afrah on the other hand told her that she engrossed herself in work and
didn?t go out with anyone, but atleast she had her mother with her.

Both of them had someone to look after them as they just couldn?t imagine a
life without each of them, and they never wanted to look for someone
else. In the end they met again and wished hopefully everything will remain
like this and they will not have to part ever again.

At around 1pm they went to bed, cuddled and Afrah fell sound asleep after a
long time.

Afrah was so happy that her heart wanted to come out of her chest and start
dancing. She kept on smiling in her sleep as Tamarind watched her lover by
her side after a long time. Tamarind stared at her girlfriend, stroking
Afrah?s hair, pulling her into her arms and whispered in her ears, ?I love
you my crazy baby,? and after a while she fell asleep too.

The next day, Afrah got up to see if she wasn?t dreaming. Tamarind was not
next to her, she went looking for her all around the house calling her, but
 she didn?t get an answer. She was about to cry as tears were forming in
her eyes, thinking that all that had happened was just a dream and Tamarind
hadn?t come back in her life. That?s when the door open and in came
Tamarind with grocery bags in her hand calling out Afrah.

Afrah ran towards Tamarind and hugged her tightly as she cried, ?Please
don?t leave me Tammy, I can?t live without you, mom's gone and if you go
too I?ll be left all alone. I can?t stand it, it drives me mad.?

Tamarind rubbed Afrah back calming her, ?Baby I am not going anywhere, I am
right here with you. I just went to the supermarket to get some groceries,?
wiping Afrah?s tears.

Afrah was shaking terribly, with the sudden rush of emotion. Tamarind took
her in the living room and they sat on the couch as she calmed Afrah. It
took a while before Afrah composed herself, but all that time she had a
tight grip on Tamarind as if Tamarind was going to leave her alone.

?Baby are you okay?? Tamarind asked Afrah, wiping her tears.

Afrah replied blowing her nose on the tissue paper that Tamarind gave her,
?Yeah, I guess.?

?I will never leave you sweetheart,? Tamarind told her soothingly.

Afrah said resting her head on Tamarind?s shoulder, ?When I woke up and
didn?t find you I thought I was dreaming and it was too much. All of it
came haunting me.?

?What came haunting baby?? Tamarind asked Afrah holding her securely.

Afrah told her, ?Everything Tammy, the day I parted with you, the next day
when I was running away from this place so that I don?t see you, those
three years where each day my heart ached to be with you and mother dying,?
as fresh tears poured d

?It?s okay I am here now, I promise I will never leave you,? Tamarind said
as she controlled herself from crying. She felt how much Afrah had missed
her, loves her and how lonely she must have felt.

Silently Tamarind rocked Afrah in her arms, holding her safely close to her
heart.

Afrah broke the silence and said, ?It?s my fault mother is not here with
us, she would have been so happy to see us.?

?It?s not your fault sweetheart, things happen and we cannot control
everything,? Tamarind told Afrah.

Afrah said, ?I wish I had never left this place. We would have been
together; she would still be alive and not be worrying herself about
me. She was always worried about me, I never told her what I was going
through, but I guess she knew. After all those worries and pain I caused
her, she left Tammy, she went away Tammy. I miss her a lot. It?s not fair;
she shouldn?t have taken the car. I always use to tell her not to take the
car on her own, but she didn?t listen and now she is gone. I miss her so
much. I wish there was some way to bring her back.? as she cried.

?Let it out baby,?
  Tamarind held Afrah, realizing that Afrah had locked everything inside
and it was time to let everything out.

Afrah cried holding Tamarind tightly. She cried more and more until she
couldn?t cry anymore. All that while Tamarind held her caressing her back,
telling her to let it out and that she was here for her now.

Once Afrah stopped crying, she felt light, tired and hungry. She said to
Tamarind, ?Tammy, I am hungry.?

They went in the kitchen; Afrah was a bit wobbly so she sat down on the
chair as Tamarind fixed her a sandwich to eat. Afrah
  ate it and she asked for one more, she ate that too. In total she ate
four sandwiches, she was that hungry. She felt light-hearted after talking
it out with Tamarind and letting everything that was locked inside her out.

Tamarind figured out that from now onwards everything will be back to
normal. Afrah had let out everything and she was never going to leave her
crazy baby ever again. She needed her too much.

?You should get some sleep sweetheart,? Tamarind suggested.

At the struck of 11:00 am Brian entered the room and told the nurse to

late at night he found three donors, but all were not going to pass away

Dr. James. When he arrived they greeted each other and asked how she was
feeling and if everything was fine.

Afrah asked, ?How bad is my situation??

Dr. James said, ?If you take care of yourself you?ll be good hopefully.?

Afrah asked again, ?Doc you didn?t answer, how bad is my situation.?

Dr. James said, ?I won?t lie to you, but your situation is at its
worse. The blood cloth is at the core of your central nervous system. If we
had tried to operate there was a ninety percent chance you?ll die and ten
percent paralyzed so both ways it?ll prove fatal. So we did our best.?

 oes it lead my life from now onwards,? Afrah asked.

Dr. James said, ?Bed rest and very very light work.?

Afrah said, ?In short, I am on my death bed just don?t know my death date.?

Dr. James was shocked at Afrah taking the matter so lightly; normally
others would have been frightened knowing they are going to die, ?Yes.?

Afrah asked, ?Just a high level of strain or hard labour will cause my

Dr. James said, ?Yes.?

Afrah said, ?Okay, thanks for your time Dr. James I?ll be more careful.?

Dr. James called the nurse and Afrah was taken back to her room to rest.

Everyday Afrah would be taken to see Tamarind and she would talk to her
telling her she will be fine and how much she loved her. Everyone in the
hospital was very supportive and comforted Afrah telling her that Tamarind
will be fine as
 they were praying for both of them.

Days were passing, time was important at this point for Afrah. Each second
counted in saving or losing Tamarind, she had made her choice now she just
had to act on it.

Afrah was taken to Tamarind?s room that day. When they were left alone,
Afrah lay next to Tamarind and she kept on whispering in Tamarind?s ear how
much she loved her as Afrah?s tears started flowing, before leaving Afrah
hugged her sweetheart and kissed Tamarind on the lips and told her, ?You?ll
be just fine Tammy, I love you forever, ever.?

Dr. Fields came to see Afrah and told her the same disappointing news.

Afrah said, ?I would like to talk to you in Private Brian.?

Brian closed the door and took a seat, ?Yes.?

?I would like to donate my heart to Tamarind,? Afrah said.

Brian was shocked with a sudden blow of words at him. It took a few minutes
to get those words to dissolve in his head; he spoke, ?You?ve gone crazy

 not a game and neither is it easy like donating a liver because you can

Brian knew that Afrah?s condition was sensitive and he also kn
 ew that if Tamarind had a heart transplant she would live normally after a
few months. He said, ?I cannot do that, it?s against the law.?

Afrah was stubborn, ?Yes, you can. I have talked it out with my lawyer and
everything is done. I?m letting you know about my will to donate my heart
to Tamarind so that it?s not too late.?

Brian said trying to put some sense into Afrah, ?Now you?re going to tell
me to end your life, is that it.?

Afrah said tears swelling in her eyes, ?No. You don?t know Brian how it
feels to see her lying on that bed lifele
 ss. When I talk to her I don?t even know if she can hear me or not, when I
hold her hands I don?t know if she can feel my touch. I can?t see her like

Afrah got frustrated and shouted, ?Yes you will bloody well transplant my

The sudden rush of emotion, blood and pressure caused Afrah to yell
painfully. Afrah started sweating as the pressure had burst her nerve, but
she had to tell Brian before she died.

 rian stood up to call for help, that?s when with the last bit of strength
that Afrah had she grabbed his hand, ?Please Brian, its over. Save Tammy.?

Brian had tears in his eyes, ?You had all this planed didn?t you.?

Afrah said as she closed her eyes shut as waves of pain shot through her
body, ?Yes, I can?t live without her.?

Brian said, ?What about her, you think she will be able to live without

Afrah smiled and said as her grip on Brian tightened due to the pain, ?Yes,
because my heart is going to be with her.?

Brian felt the love that Afrah had for Tamarind as his tears started
flowing down his cheeks, ?You know you?re crazy.?

Afrah tried to chuckle, but the pain was too immense and she groaned, ?I
know that?s why Tammy calls me crazy baby.?

Brian looked at his friend, in a flashback he remembered when he was about
to get married to Tamarind and refused because he found out about the love
between Tamarind and Afrah and now her
 e he was about to see Afrah die. His heart went out to her.

Afrah said stammering as her breath was slowing down and she could feel
herself going numb from the pain, but at the same time feeling light, ?Take
care of my Tammy, she is very precious.?

Brian said as more tears flowed down his face, ?I will.?

Afrah said her last words as she went away in a never-ending sleep, ?Thank

All the formal
 ities were fulfilled, Afrah?s lawyer was called and he confirmed that
Afrah?s heart to be donated to Tamarind as she mentioned in her will.

Brian operated on Tamarind and Afrah?s heart was placed inside
Tamarind. After the crucial twenty four hours observation, Tamarind was out
of danger. After a few days, Tamarind woke up and all the tests were
positive, the new heart was working well.

There was a clause in the will that the lawyer mentioned, that once
Tamarind was well enough she would be given a letter that was written by
Afrah.

 ad asked about Afrah when she first woke up and she was told Afrah is
doing fine and sent to another hospital for treatment as they didn?t want
to shock her to be on the safe side. Once the heart was working well and
had adjusted itself to the new body and Tamarind was doing well, that?s
when Brian told Tamarind the truth.

Tamarind cried that whole day and saying to herself that why Afrah did what
she did.

The letter was handed to Tamarind, she opened it and fresh tears started
flowing when she saw Afrah?s handwriting, it read:

 t, how are you feeling? I know fine. I know you are angry with me because
of what I did, but Dr. Fields i.e. Brian. He must have already explained to
you that you had a better chance of living than me and I wouldn?t have

divine, extraordinary.

Baby I wasn?t scared of dying, I was the happiest person. Remember when you
