Chapter 11
In The Bedroom

She looked at me for a few more seconds before continuing to get dressed.
I rolled out of bed and made my way to the bathroom.  Once in there I
turned on the shower and hopped in.  Danny appeared shortly after to brush
her teeth.

After finishing washing myself I looked over at Danny who had been watching
me in the mirror.  She saw me looking and smiled at me with her toothbrush

We had been together for nine months now and like we had discussed earlier,
we were going out that night for dinner.  I was to finish uni just before
lunch, which meant that I would have a few hours to kill before meeting up

After Danny had left for work I wondered into the bedroom to get changed.
I threw on my jeans and a t-shirt that was relatively clean - I really
needed to wash some clothes.  I had a half an hour before I had to leave
for my first lecture, but couldn't be bothered throwing them in the
machine.  I could do it later.

My side of the wardrobe was also a mess and was a huge contrast to that of
Danny's, which was neat and painfully tidy.  I signed and then started
folding a few things before placing them on one of my shelves.  Buried
under a pile of clothes and other odd items, I found a bag that I had used
last semester to carry my stuff to uni.  I pulled out an umbrella from the
main compartment and it put in on the top shelf.  I then went through the
smaller front pocket and found two dollars (score!).  I also pulled out a

lecture.

the dark rooms to print my photos.  I held the strip up in front of the red

I cut the film in three places and slide the second piece in place.  The

before turning off the light and putting a piece of photo paper in place.
I set the timer and hit the button.

Before heading home I went to the gym and did 40 minutes of weights, mainly
to fill in time.  Once home I spread the photos out on the coffee table and

The waiter came and Danny gave her name.  He led us to our table and handed
us each a menu.  I thanked him before he walked off as Danny opened hers up
and then peered over it once he had gone.

"He was not!" I opened my menu.

"Was to"

I looked at the wine list "If he was checking anyone out it would be you".
Danny was wearing a black dress that showed off her figure very nicely.
"You look very nice.  I thought you where coming straight from work?"

"I stopped off at Haley's house on the way" She straightened the forks that
where set out on her side of the table "You look very nice too"

I looked back down at the menu.  I tend to get shy when given a compliment.
I too had dressed up for the occasion.  "Do you want wine?"

Danny smiled "Sure"

"White or red?"

Danny thought for a few seconds "White"

The waiter returned and I order a bottle.

"Did you go to your classes today?" Danny looked at me.

I nodded "Yeah.  They were both boring.  Could have missed them" I smiled
as I looked down at the menu, not really reading it.

"If I have to get out of bed to go to mine, you have to go to yours" Danny
raised an eyebrow.

The waiter returned and filled our glasses with wine.

"Thanks" I watched him as he left the bottle in a cooler.

"What else did you get up to?"

"I did some weights.  Nothing too exciting.  How was your day?"

Danny took a sip from her wine "It was alright" She put the glass back down
on the table "It went as slow as hell though"

I picked up mine and took a small sip.  I had to drive home later.

I parked the car and turned off the engine.  Danny was still laughing at
some lame joke that had been on the radio.  She was a little tipsy from the
wine.  She was so cute!  I got out of the car and walked around to her door
and opened it.  She stepped out and smiled.

I bowed and then shut the door before locking the car.  We walked up to our

bathroom.  After a few seconds I heard the shower door slide open and her
turn it on.  I sighed and rolled onto my back.  I heard the shower door
shut and I swung my legs over the side of the bed and got up.  I could

watched her for a few seconds while she stood under the water to wet her
hair.  I opened the shower door and stepped in behind Danny.  I got the
