Subject: Court Rhythm Pt. 5

~*~Throwback Scene~*~
Before I got into the tub I said "Jenny there's  something I have to tell
you."

"What is it baby?" She inquired.

I paused for a minute, contemplating on telling her or not. Then I said "I
wanted to tell you that. . .

". . . .that. . . I love you." I spat out, finally.

     I couldn't tell her that I had kissed Tashii,  especially after
all of this. It would crush her, let alone our relationship.  I will tell her
later, this is too good to ruin now.

"Aw Alex baby" Jenny said, "I've been waiting for you to finally say that  to
me for the longest."

"Haha, yeah I know." I said

     Once I got into the tub, Jenny cuddled up close to  me. We laid
there, her back against my stomach with my arms wrapped around  her. Jenny
tilted her head back upon my shoulder, as she fell asleep, I was left  starring
at the wall. . . .

     When I woke up I got out of the bed & went  downstairs to make Jenny
some breakfast. When, I returned back to the room I  just stood in the doorway &
watched her sleep. After about 10 minutes of  standing their watching her
sleep, she turned over & smiled when she seen me  at the door. Her hair was
scattered all across her head, & her body was  glistening with a thin layer of sweat
as she pulled the covers from her naked  body.

"Good morning baby, you was sleep for a long time." I said approaching  her

"Alex its only 8:30, what do you mean?" She said

"Well I've been up since 6:00, so to me you have been sleep all morning." I
said with a laugh.

"Why were you up so early on a Sunday morning?" She asked

"Well I woke up & I thought about waking you up, but I didn't so I  watched
you sleep for a while & then I went downstairs to make you  breakfast. When I
was done, I came back up here & watched you sleep until  you woke up." I
explained.

"Oh I see, well thanks babe for making me breakfast" She said with a  laugh

"....but anyways, did you sleep ok last night, you seemed a little
distraught last night before I feel asleep?" She continued

"Yeah. . . I slept fine." I stuttered

"Okay if you say so. I'll meet you downstairs when I'm done washing up to
eat" Jenny said walking to the bathroom.

     I went into the kitchen & waited for Jenny. I  looked out the window &
noticed a lot of brown & orange leaves on the  ground. Fall came quick as hell.
Pretty soon we would be having Thanksgiving  & Christmas
together. I never had a girlfriend for the holidays, I never  thought I would
see the day. A few minutes later, Jenny came down the stairs. I  watched her
make her way over to the kitchen. The way she walk is so damn sexy.  When she
got into the kitchen I heard a knock at the door. It was Jenny's  father. I
opened the door for him & was greeted by a hard right to the chin.  I fell to
the floor & he stepped over me & started yelling.

"JENNY!!! What the fuck is your problem? I thought I raised you better than
that!" Mr. Lemus yelled.

"Dad, don`t hit her like that." Jenny said trying to help me up.

"Jennifer you are not a lesbian. I did not raise a lesbian. I will not  allow
that kind of behavior from you while your in my household!!!" The man
shouted.

"Well then I'll leave. I wont stay with you anymore." Jenny said  crying

"Where do you think you can go? I'm all you got you spoiled ungrateful
little brat." He yelled taking Jenny by the arm & dragging her out the  door.

     I couldn't do anything but just watch &  listen. I watched as he
struggled to get Jenny in the car. Jenny was crying her  eyes out. It was so hard to
watch, so I looked away, until Mr. Lemus yelled out  at me.

"You better stay away from my daughter, bitch." He shouted

      When he drove off Jenny looked up at me with  a look I couldn`t
describe. Her face just looked like she was in pain. I could  feel myself getting
teary eyed, so I walked in the house & went up to my  room. The incident kept on
replaying in my head, & each time it did, I  started thinking about what was
going on with Jenny & her dad. That  man
just doesn't know, nor appreciate, the fine daughter he really has. It's  a
shame. I was starting to get mad, so I got up & did some
homework, but  not much; it was giving me a headache, so I started to
exercise a little bit.  Then I went across the street to shoot some hoops to see if
that would help. I  ran a couple of four on four's with a few of the guys there
& then I noticed  that one of my teammates was there.

"Yo Alex, come here for a minute" She shouted

"What's going on Nicole?" I said


"Damn what happened to yo face?" She said

"Nothin' I just got into a little disagreement with someone." I said

"Yea I see that, but anyways whats going on between you & Tashii?"  Nicole
said.

"Uhh I dunno, why she say something?"

"No not much shes just been sayin that shes got a plan to get you back  &
that you ain`t shit & stuff like that, just making little  threats."

"Oh yeah, well whatever she can keep makin` threats cuz she ain`t gonna do
shit." I said

     After that we shot around until it was dark &  then she
decided to go in & so did I. When I got home, I climbed into the  shower. The
hot water felt so good against my body, for I was out there playing  hard. I
just stood there & let the water beat against my body with great  force. I
started thinking about the baths I shared with Jenny. I imagined  Jenny's body
all wet, her soaked hair laying up against her back, rubbing soap  all over her
body. I started to get really horny, but that soon turned to anger  when the
image of her dad grabbing Jenny came to mind. I finished up in the  shower,
climbed in the bed, & went to sleep.

     I woke up a little disappointed because it was  Monday & my weekend with
Jenny was rudely interrupted, but that  soon
disappeared because I remembered I would be able to see her when I  got
to school. I washed up, got dress, & went downstairs. I grabbed an  apple & a
bottle of water from out the kitchen & I was out the front  door. When I
stepped outside, the bus was pulling up. When I got on the bus I  saw Renee.

"Hey Al....Damn! What happened to the side of your face?" Renee said

"Oh, yea I forgot I didn`t tell you. Jenny`s dad chin checked me then
dragged Jenny out my house. Now isn`t that just lovely" I sarcastically  replied.

"Whoa Alex are you ok? How is Jenny? How did he find out about you to?"
Renee asked

"To be honest, I'm still shocked at what happened, as for Jenny I don't
know how shes doing cuz I haven't talked to her, & I don't know how he found
out about us." I replied

"Well you don't think its over between you & Jenny right?" She  asked

"Well....I....I don`t know, I hope not." I said

"Well lemme know if I can do something ok Alex." Renee said.

     When we got to school, I went off my own way. I  wasn't even going to
try & look for Jenny, even though I really wanted to  see her. I went into the
gym & laid down at half court. I couldn't deal with  seeing anyone right now. I
got the thinking again & I started to cry. Then I  heard someone walk in the
gym. I immediately wiped my face & sat up. I  looked over to see who it was &
it was Jenny. She looked damn good today.  She had on her all white one piece
swimsuit, you know the kind that you might  see Beyonce or J-Lo wear in their
videos, a white & baby blue blend jean  jacket, with some matching capris on.
She was wearing a lot of light blue &  white bracelets on each wrist, with
some earrings to match & a pair of  shades that brought her whole outfit
together. She really was looking like a  superstar model today.

"Hey Alex, I`ve been looking everywhere for you." Jenny said sitting next  to
me

"Hey Jenny, you look good today." I said

"Thanx. . . Umm Alex. . . Were you crying?"

"Yeah I was just thinking & I got kind of teary eyed that's all." I  said

"I`m so sorry about my father, I didn`t know he would hit you."

"Oh, its cool, but how did he find out about us?"

"I don`t know, but he`s really pissed off. I`ve never seen him act this bad
before." She said

"Wait so you sayin` that he always talk to you like that."

"Yeah, but don`t worry he`ll calm down."

"Ok. So why you all dressed up today." I said changing the subject

"Oh no reason, I just wanted to look good for my baby. Why is it too much?"
She said

"No its perfect" I said leaning in for a kiss

Right when our lips touched, her glasses fell, revealing a black-eye. She
broke the kiss & hurried to put them back on. I sat there in shock, then I  got
angry & said "Who the fuck did that to you?!"

"No one, I was acting stupid & hit myself getting dress this morning.  Don't
worry about it."

"Naw Jenny, that's not makin' sense. Now tell me who hit. . .Jenny did he
hit you?" I said

She grew quiet. I could tell more went on when they got home. I had to play
it cool, because if Jenny seen me getting angry I wouldn't get any information
 out of her.

"Baby, please tell me what happen." I said

"Ok but Alex you promise you wont get mad & do something stupid?"

"Yeah I promise baby, now what happened?"

"Well, when we got home we started to argue some more, then he started
making threats, then he hit me. First he punched me in the arm, then he hit me  in
the face & I fell. He started kicking me & then he stopped &  left. Later that
night he came back home & into my room. I could tell he was  drunk, because
he was stumbling. He said that since I wanted to act grown, he  was gonna treat
me like I was grown. So he started walking towards the bed,  unbuckling his
pants, but before he could touch me I kicked him & ran out of  the house & went
to Rebecca's house."

I just sat there in awe. I was furious. I didn't want to say or do  anything,
because I knew if I did Jenny wouldn't like it. Finally I did say  something.

"Um. . . baby I'm so sorry." I said

"No don't be, I'm fine. I still have you don't I? You keep me going, well
you & basketball anyway." She said with a laugh, trying to get me out of  this
gloomy state I had slipped into.

"I guess." I said in a cheery voice, trying to convince her I  was
okay.

     Finally the bell rung & we both ran to 1st  period. An announcement
came over the loudspeaker saying that after 4th  period there will
be an all school assembly in the auditorium. Some guess  speaker would be
talking about the importance of keeping our community positive  & help build
recreation centers & shit like that. I just knew it was  gonna be shitty, but at
least we would get out of the rest of our classes. After  3rd period I had seen
Jenny again & noticed that she still had on her  glasses. She was talking to
Rebecca, so I decided to walk over there, but before  I could Kelly grabbed me
& pulled me over to where some of his classmates  were, & we started talking.
Jenny had walked past me
with a look of  disgust. I wanted to go after her and ask what was wrong, but
the bell had rang  & everyone ran to their 4th period classes. All through
4th period I  wondered why Jenny gave me that look.

     After 4th period the whole school was called down  to the auditorium, by
class. The seniors were all the way in the front, then  juniors, & then us
sophomores with the freshman behind us. The guess speaker  entered & they all
gave her a round of applause, except me because I didn't  give a fuck right now.
She dug right into her speech. The whole thing was boring  & I had almost
fell asleep until I heard a really loud "FUCK YOU!" echo  throughout the
auditorium.

"I don`t know why you are so mad. You should`ve known she was gonna get
bored with you sooner or later." The girl yelled.

"Fuck you bitch, you don't know what the fuck your talking about so just
stay the fuck away from her!" Jenny shouted.

      Everyone, including the guess speaker,  searched to see where it was
coming from. Then one girl pointed & said "look  in the hallway". I looked out
into the hallway & saw Jenny wrestling with  some girl I couldn't make out.
Jenny's glasses were off, so I'd figured that  someone tried to called her out &
she retaliated. The security guards ran  into the hall to breakup the fight.
They dragged Jenny & that other girl up  the hall, so I got close enough to see
that the other girl was Tashii. I froze  up as I saw Jenny glare at me.

     A few minutes later, the guess speaker started her  speech again, then
an announcement roared over the loudspeaker & said,

"Will Alexis Walker please report to the principals office  immediatelly!"

     I stood up, nervous as hell, & walked off to  the principals office. I
thought to myself "how could this day get any worse" as  I walked towards the
door marked "PRINCIPAL". Before I could open the door, I  saw Jenny's father
charging towards my way shouting, "You better not have been  around Jenny!"


Yeah That's the end of this one.
