Subject: Court Rhythm Pt. 6

			   ~*~Throwback Scene~*~

I stood up, nervous as hell, & walked off to the principals office. I
thought to myself "how could this day get any worse" as I walked towards
the door marked "PRINCIPAL". Before I could open the door, I saw Jenny's
father charging towards my way shouting, "You better not have been around
Jenny!"

     I got mad all over again when I saw him. I could  not speak, All I
wanted to do was beat his ass for what he did & tried to do  to Jenny. My fist was
already balled up & I could feel myself ready to  strike his ass, until he
spoke up again.

 "You better pray that you are not the reason why my daughter is in  here."
He spat at me.

     Again, I was too angry to reply. Poor man didn't  have a clue that he
was really adding fuel to the fire with the things he was  saying. I just stared
at him as if he was a cartoon villian here to destroy my  world & ruin my
relationship with Jenny. After a while he realized that he  was not intimidating
me, so he pushed me aside & entered the principals  office. As soon as he did,
all feeling came back to my body & my brain  snapped out of attack mode. I
took a deep breath & stepped into the room.  Jenny's dad turned to look at me
with nothing but a disgusted look on his  face.

"Oh now your dumb ass can finally move huh you dyke" he shouted. "Answer me
gay girl!" he continued.

"Mr. Lemus, please be quiet, yelling & calling her names is not going  to
make this situation any better. Please let's all act like responsible adults
here & act our age." The Principal said.

     I glanced over to look at Jenny & she looked  bad. She had scratches on
her face, her nose & lip were bleeding & the  whites of her eyes were now red.
Her white bathing suit she wore as a shirt was  now covered with spots of
blood, but the most painful thing about her appearance  was the look in her eyes.
The look of betrayal. A look I never would have  imagined she would be giving
me. I felt so low at that moment I didn't know what  to do. The girl who was
not only considered as my girlfriend but also my best  friend hated me now.
She hates me & I don't blame her. Then I shifted my  eyes over to Tashii who
looked as though she thought the whole scene was funny.  That really showed me
that she was truly ignorant. Then I realized that Jenny's  father had directed
his attention my way again.

"Don't be staring at my daughter, that's how you probably turned her gay in
the first place" he said sarcastically.

"No she didn't. She's not the first girl I've been with dad, & I would
appreciate it if you would stop talking to her like that." Jenny shot back in my
defense.

"I know you're not standing up for this lesbian!" Jenny's father  snapped
back.

"Yeah I am, so what you wanna do you ass!" Jenny shouted as she stepped to
her father.

     I was so confused at this point. I had so many  different thoughts going
through my head. I could have sworn that she hated me  after what I did, but
here she is defending me. It felt good to know that she  did not hate me, well
it seemed like she didn't. But at the same time I thought  she took too many
blows to the head for trying to challenge her father like  that. I mean didn't
she learn from the black eye or does she have to get another  one before she'
ll fully understand. Now I'm angry that she would even put  herself in a
situation like this & risk getting hurt even more than she  already has today. I
mean I think she's gotten hurt enough in every way, shape,  & form in these past
couple of days.

"Girl I see you trying to grow some balls to talk to me this way over some
girl....some dyke who you let lick your pussy all day...is this your girlfriend
 Jenny?" Mr. Lemus asked in a very calm manner.

"& if she is? What you gon' do about it." Jenny said kind of backing  off.

"Alright you guys, calm down. I don't want anymore trouble happening  today."
The Principal said.

     Just after that was said, the first punch was  thrown, this time not by
Mr. Lemus, but by Jenny. Her father fell to the floor  hard, which made Tashii
make a dash for the door. As soon as he hit the floor,  Jenny was on top of
him throwing punch after punch until Mr. Lemus finally  pushed Jenny off of him
& gave Jenny a good smack to the jaw. Jenny fell in  front of me & started
crying. Suddenly all of that anger I felt before came  back & I pounced on his
ass. I punched him in the stomach & he staggered  back, but he approached me
with all his might, trying to make sure that I go  down, but it wasn`t gonna
happen. He charged at me & I moved out the way  & kicked him to the ground. He
got up & tried once more to bum-rush me.  He got a-hold of me, but I wasn't
about to go down, so I gave him uppercut after  uppercut, until the security
guards came to brake up the brawl. It took them a  while, but finally they got us
apart.....for a second. I ran towards him &  he grabbed me & tossed my little
ass across the room. I got up & tried  to push my way through the security
guards, but I had no luck. All I could do  was push one security guard into Mr.
Lemus. On my last effort to shove the  security guard, he actually bumped into
Mr. Lemus, making him stumble a bit.  When Mr. Lemus stumbled, a small hand gun
dropped to the floor. Nobody noticed  the gun until Jenny grabbed it. When
Jenny stood up she pointed the gun at her  father which had all of us scared. A
couple of seconds later, the police busted  open the door.

"STOP!! Young lady put the gun down." Shouted one officer.

"Jennifer please put the gun down. . . . I know that you are angry, but
shooting him will not make anything better, besides you're a very intelligent  &
talented young lady, & I know you don't really want to shoot your  father &
risk throwing your goals & dreams away. So please Jenny, put  the gun down." The
Principal said.

     Jenny started pacing back & forth, while still  holding her father at
gun point. Then she glanced over at me & I could tell  she was scared & that all
she wanted to do was just cry. We all knew that  Jenny didn't want the
situation to end up like this, we all knew she wasn't like  that, in fact she's the
total opposite. So seeing her with a gun was just  shocking. Finally Jenny
started to come back to her senses & she slowly  lowered the gun. Just then one
of the security guards slammed her into the wall,  took the gun from out of
her hand & started putting the handcuffs on.

"Y'all arrestin' the wrong person, she didn`t do anything. Y'all should be
arresting him over there." I said.

"Young lady she had the gun  so we  have to take her." The first  officer
said.

Then both the officers looked around the room & saw the blood on the  walls,
floor, & the window. They also seen the turned over chairs, & the  partially
broken desk, then one officer said "Oh my Lord, what happened in  here?"

"Officers arrest this man as well, he is to be blamed for this whole
situation." The Principal said pointing to Mr. Lemus who was standing in a  corner
being very quiet.

"Look Alex, for the moment I want you to just stay quiet ok? I`ll do all  the
talking, & I will try to get Jennifer out of this situation." The  Principal
said.


I did what the Principal said, & quietly  watched them take Mr. Lemus away. I
was still shocked of how the whole situation  played out. Everything was just
so out of control, that I just had to sit down.  Just then, a police officer
came out of the building with Jenny still in  handcuffs. As they were walking,
I saw her staggering, trying to keep up. I was  thinking to myself that, that
security guard must have hurt her leg or  something. Outside, the police
begin to pat Jenny down to make sure she didn't  have anymore weapons on her
before they put her in the car. I walked over there  & talked to her as they did it.

"Baby it's gonna be ok. I will figure something out, so you won't have to  go
to jail, don't worry" I said.

"I'm not worried. . . . . & you don't have to do nothin'. I don't  need
anything from you." She spat back

"Jenny...what are you talking about? I want to help you. Do you wanna get
locked up?" I asked.

"Well if it means getting away from you, then yes." She said

"What?! You were just defending me in there; & now you wanna switch up  & get
mad! Yeah its gotta be something wrong with you." I said.

"Well I ain't  like the way he was talking to you, & I didn`t want  him to
hurt you. . . .that's my job & what you mean something is wrong with  me? I`m
not the one who was cheating" She said

"Ok I know your mad at me for what I did, & I didn't want you to find  out
this way, but what do you want me to do?" I said.

"What?!? I don't want you to do anything if you have to ask me. & when  were
you going to tell me that….that you were cheating with….with…."

    At that moment she collapsed & passed out on the  ground. I yelled at the
police, who just stood there & watched her fall,  & told them to get a damn
ambulance. I knelt down to the ground & held  her head in my hands, that's when
I notice that her curly hair was soaked with  blood. That man had beat her so
bad that she now had a damn concussion. I knelt  there gently tapping her
face trying to get her to wake up. The ambulance  arrived like five minutes later
& lifted her up onto a stretcher. I wanted  to ride in the back, but they
told me I couldn't because I wasn't family. That  seriously pissed me off. They
told me which hospital they were taking her to  & that I can meet her in the
ER.

     I was so scared that I did not know where to turn.  All I knew was that
I had to get to that hospital fast. I ran to the police but  they wouldn't
offer me a ride & the Principal was too busy talking about the  situation, that I
didn`t want to bother her. The only one who was with me in  that parking lot
was Tashii.  I turned to look at her & she had a big  smile on her face.
