Unexpected love pt.6

It had been over a month and Shane still wasn't awake
yet. Nikki was by her bedside everyday wishing she
would wake up. She would tell her all the time that
she was so sorry and that she loves her. Nikki and
Mr.Marks were bonding as well in that month he had
grown to think of her as his second daughter. They
were getting along great. Nikki was thinking to
herself if Shane was awake she would be happy to see
them getting along like they were. The doctor had told
them that he thinks that in due time Shane will be ok
her conduction was too serious minus the fact she is
in a coma. That made them both happy to hear that.
Nikki told Mr.Marks that he could go home if he needed
to and so he went on his way. Nikki sat there holding
Shane's hand and with her free hand started touching
Shane's face and kissing it like she had done so many
times. She started sobbing and saying
   " Sweetie please wake up I need you right now I
miss you so much. I just want to hear you say I love
you to me and call me your baby again."
    She got no response and that didn't surpise her.
She felt so alone and scared that she was going to
lose the love of her life despite what the doctor had
said. She sat there holding onto Shane's had for hours
just praying she would wake up. She had fallen asleep
in the chair next to the bed still holding Shane's had
when she felt someone grip onto it. She just thought
she was dreaming and she heard someone faintly say
  "Baby is that you? Where am I?"
  Nikki thought she was going crazy and she opened her
eyes and saw that Shane was finally awake. She had
explained to her what had happened and she was in
disbelief.
 "You've been at my bedside for over a month?"
"Yup sure have and I would talk to you all the time
even though I knew you couldn't hear me. I felt I
needed to be here with you."
"Well that makes me happy I thought you hated me after
what I had done to you. I love you so much baby."
"I love you too sweetie."
"Has my dad been here?"
"Yes actually he's been her most of the time too he
went home to shower and catch up on sleep. Him and I
have bonded a lot of the course of the last month. He
has a lot to tell you."
"Wow I can't believe he actually talked to you and
that you guys have become friends too bad it took this
for it to happen.maybe this was ment to happen."
"I don't know maybe.I'm just glad your alright and can
go home in the next 2 days."
"I'm glad as well I just want to be in bed with you
and just go to sleep holding the one person  in the
world I love so very much."
