Space dream

The cold air hit my skin as I walked along the dark side walk. I looked
ahead to the red like and the cars going this and that. Just another quite
evening I thought as I entered my apartment door. The lights came on to the
sound of me entering the apartment. Then one of the walls sprung to life
with monitors. I walked in the dining room and asked the food replicater
for a beer. Then went about answering my email and doing bills. The story
of my life I thought. I flipped threw the bills. I paid them all and put my
finger to the monitor so it could finger print me to sigh my checks. I am
so glad they did away with paper and signing checks. This way is easier.

I then pushed buttons on another panel a music library came to life, I
flipped threw it and found what I was looking for. Seconds later Joan
Jett's music flooded the room. I sat there listening to the music letting
it take me back as I sipped a cup of warm coffee. How this music has always
meant something to me about love and life. Freedom as well comes from it a
time when we didn't care about one another sadly. Oh how times have changed
I thought. Then my phone rang I turned off the music and pulled up my phone
monitor. The picture appeared before me.

"Hello Pam, how are you?" I heard as I sat up in my chair.

"Fine thanks Sara, what can I do for you?"

"Well darling I was wondering if you would join me in a drink."

	I didn't reply and she said "I will be over in 5." Great I thought
so much for a relaxing nite alone. Then I thought Sara only bothers me when
she wants something.  What could it be now...? Money?  I sat there in my
chair lost in thought. When beeping made me jump. It was the door I walked
across the room and pushed a button to open it. Then I remembered an old
show star trek how our lives were getting very close to that show. Odd the
TV people back then would have never thought.
	Sara stepped into my apartment whereing a red cute little dress. I
thought ok here we go what does she want now. She went to the food
replicator and ordered two drinks. We sat down and chatted. We played
computer air hockey.  Then she turned and looked at me.  "I have come here
to tell you I love you and want you."
	I sat there shocked then the alarm went off for all the guards to
go to work I hurried in to my uniform and bid her good bye. Then walked to
the main room for orders from the president. It turned out I was to captain
a ship the silver bird. Next thing I knew I was standing in the ships main
command room, sitting in the captain's chair. I had most of my personal
items brought over by a messenger willing to do the task. I thought back to
star trek now and how close this was to that. All I needed was the star
trek crew I thought and almost laughed out loud. A cute little red head
stepped in two the room I noticed by her rank she was my second in
command. I smiled god she was hot I tought as I gave out orders.
	I was sitting in my office reading over our orders from earth we
were to guard earth from the sky. In case of a special attack which was not
likely and observe any thing interesting we found while in space. Not I
really thought of star trek voyager and laughed. The next few weeks went by
with out any issues to name, we did some research and found some cool
things. The commander was getting closer to me. On this night she asked me
to dinner.
	I was going to refuse but then an hour later I read her personal
files and found out she was a known lesbian. Knowing this is could not very
well say no after all I have been dieing for compion ship sense leaving
earth. Dinner went fine we talked and ate and talked about family and
friends and home and what we would do when we got back. Then suddenly she
leaned over and kissed me so tenderly. "I want you to be there when we go
back. I mean to do things with."  I didn't say anything just nodded and sat
there sipping whine. What she was asking was huge and I had to think on it
and I knew I did and she knew it as well at least I think she did.
	Every night for five nights was just about the same playing games
and talking and kissing. Until the sixth night, we were in my cabin talking
and suddenly she came over to me and whispered lets make love. I didn't
know how to respond to this at all.
	That's when I woke with Sara next to me on earth in my own bed.
Good god how much did I drink I had a pounding head ache. No more space
travel for me I thought as I downed pain killers.
