"Are we not of the same blood, do we not worship the same spirits, then
why should we both not speak the same tongue."

Poor Tuniko is frightened terribly, and now not knowing what is being
said. So the chief says, "Granted you are not of the whites, but if what
you say is so, then prove it so."

He signals and an arrow flies toward me, its course is changed and flies
toward him, hitting the teepee in back of him. The whole camp is silent,
until he says, "Release them, pray priestess of the great spirit have
mercy on us, so many have come here and killed my people, come let us
celebrate the joining of our peoples."

Then realizing Tuniko missed all this I cause him to understand them and
we go in the large council teepee and set around a fire as they dance,
and the chief asks, "From where do you come."

"A small nation that sets on the great waters of earth, have you ever
seen them, the great waters of earth."

"I know not of that which you speak."

So after a brief geography lesson I cause a large picture to form on the
wall of the teepee, after most run screaming from here, only the chief
and medicine man remaining I show them America and Japan and a ship we
came on, long into the night we talk until every one is asleep but he and
I then I ask, "The great peoples of the prairie are being forced back,
until you have no place to go, more and more of these killing white men
will keep coming...Empress Susiama weeps for you, I shall try to assist you
so your freedom from these will be lengthened...20 days from here, in that
direction go there, pick up your young and old and go there, it is far
colder in winter, but these white men who come and kill off your braves
will not be there, I shall also cause the great buffalo, the deer, cougar
and your other creatures you need to live to be plenty...to my sorrow the
earth's peoples are becoming selfish, we all must learn change, bury your
pride as we have, and learn new ways...I feel the tears of the great spirit
even now, weeping for us all, for he regrets creating these ruthless
peoples who do this to us, if ever I may be of service to you, call my
name, loud from mountain top, Susiama, my spirit will come to you."

"Before we sleep, have I been in the presence of a goddess."

"Loosely speaking, yes, oh great chief of the Comanche, so please heed my
words they hold much power."

The next morning as chief White Horse and Tuniko and myself are having a
meal I ask, "Why has the government of this white nation not come to some
agreement with you and your peoples great and mighty chief."

"To our shame they have no respect for us as a nation."

"If you and as many of your people as you deem proper will accompany us,
we are going to where the leader of the whites is, I shall speak in your
behalf, and if necessary use my magic to show them the power of your
nation."

"You will do this for us, Empress Susiama, why do you feel so strongly
about us and our position here when you live so far away."

"We of the Kami must assist others who so know the truth, the great
spirits who created all and live within us all, will have it no other
way."

"As we travel we will come into conflict with other whites, for they have
no respect as I have said and will shoot 1st not caring who of us they
kill."

"Their weapons will be useless against us oh great father of your
nation."

We run into trouble as soon as we come near a white settlement but by
rendering their weapons unable to fire, we pass without any one being
harmed, soon we come to a settlement named St. Louis, and are met out
side the town by a group of soldiers, the Colonel in charge asks, "Who in
hell got these savages to come here...Miss, Sir you most be the emperor and
empress of Japan, we have received word you will by passing through here,
have these savages caused you problems."

Speaking so the chief will understand my words I reply, "These as you
refer to them, SAVAGES, are our brothers and friends, they have escorted
us here, we are all going to see the president of America to resolve the
differences between their native American Nation and the new one created
by the whites who came from other countries, will you escort us to
Washington so I may do this needed matter between these two great
chiefs." Then out walks an older man in civilian dress and asks, "Of what
importance to the emperor and empress of Japan is this internal matter of
ours."

"The great spirit, god, to you, Kami to us, created us all equal, only
the selfishness of one race over another has caused the divisions, blood
shed, and indifference we now experience, I as high priestess of the
great creator, Kami of earth will mediate an agreement between the white
father of America and the great father of the native nations of this
continent, do these not have features as you, do they not walk upright as
you, do they not have women who birth children as you, why then are they
considered less then you."

"Maim, all this is way over my head, we will escort you to Washington."

After many days of waiting we finally board a train and travel east, as
we do Tuniko asks chief White Horse, "Where shall we ask for your peoples
to live great Chief White Horse where there will be buffalo, water and
land you can live on." "Where we 1st came together, the Black Hills of
the Dakotas where we have lived for countless generations is where I
choose but he will not agree because a yellow rock has been found there
that the whites deem of value."

So Tuniko asks me, "Susi, gold?"

"Yes my husband I sensed its presence while we were there, truly the
whites will not easily give that up...unless a larger source of it may be
found, which I shall reveal to them in the Colorado's along with silver
and precious stones." Upon our arrival we wait for days to see the
president, and when we finally do and are taken into a very large room
where many men await, some man who is not the president asks us, "We
received word of your coming emperor Tuniko I now most wonder why you
choose to interfere in our internal business with these savages who
randomly kill any who ventures near them, of what interest do you have in
them."

Tuniko looks to me, so I stand as I say, "The great spirit, your god, my
Kami, creator of us all made all peoples equal in his sight, you have
made these peoples less then yourselves, killing 1st, so as they only
protected themselves you call them savages, while they refer to you as
the savages between the two of you does not the peoples who 1st lived in
this great nation not have the same rights as those of you who have come
here from other countries is not your intelligence enough to see them
equal with you in the sight of the Kami, great spirit, or your god."

It was as if I had declared war on America, as they all shouted and cried
out, "Send these slant eyed yellow skinned Japs back to Japan, and the
one speaking says, "Guards take all these and lock them away until we can
reach some decision."

As the soldiers come near us they are some how forced to the floor unable
to move, as I in a super loud voice say, "No mortal may lay hands on the
son of the sun goddess, Kinikio, and his mistress or those who are under
his protection, heed my words you are on the presence of immortals, kneel
before us before the great Kami renders you helpless. We shall now go to
where we have our camp and await you decision, be most careful send
soldiers to harm us and they shall surely die...President, whoever you are
be advised we are not simple mortals you can dismiss with human might."

And all of us disappear from the room back to where we set up our little
village, Chief White Horse then asks me, "Neither I, my father, or
father's father has ever experienced the mightiness of the great spirit
as we all did this day, these whites are ignorant do you honestly believe
they will see and understand your power."

"Great chief White Horse they witnessed 50 people disappear from their
sight moments ago, let them try to explain that."

Within a few days we are asked politely to come back to the house of
congress, where the president asks me, "I will not begin to try to
explain what we witnessed here a few days ago, what does the red Chief
want from us."

"1st Mr. President if you will send men to look over the mountains north
of a settlement you name Denver in Colorado you shall find more of the
yellow stone, silver, and precious stones then you will ever will in the
Black Hills of the Dakotas, a large enough area of land so they may live
as they have, peacefully and not bother any white man as long as their
land is not trespassed. Can an agreement be made and kept."

"Can our two nations come to an understanding for trade and foreign
offices to be kept in each Capital, and can we live in peace. As we have
now for a 100 years, does the Emperor and empress put such a great
condition as the native Americans in our international peace."

"Not in any way, as long as I do not hear of them being over run by the
whites of this nation, for we are brothers under the great spirit,
creator of earth and all upon it, so I pose a question to you, would you
allow your brother to be pulled from his home and killed only because he
has a different way about him, and has color is different."

"Speaking to Tuniko he then says, "Emperor Tuniko truly you have married
a wise and knowledgeable woman she speaks with such wisdom and knowledge,
how can I not agree with her reasoning. I will have a treaty drawn up
between the Comanche and the US government at once, will you also sign it
as mediator."

Once that is done Chief White Horse and his people return to the black
Hills, while Tuniko and I stay for a dinner held in our honor. During the
dinner, the president asks, "What have you done to stamp to prostitution
in your nation, and is it working, we can't seem to find an answer."

Many Pardons, Mr., President, HIM Empress of Japan, can better reply to
your question."

Sir if I may, no one will ever stop the world's oldest profession, so
instead of trying, do as we did, make it government controlled and only
in walled areas out side the cities, but surly you knew this."

teachings, all we did was attempt to equalize those poor native Americans
with those who came to that nation and felt as though they are better."

"Then I pose another question, in America and surrounding Islands the
Americans, we English, French and other nations have slaves who work
fields for us, in South America alone there are thousands of black
African slaves who are literally worked to death, beaten terribly, is
this not a more horror able matter for you to consider if indeed this
Kami of yours created all men equal. In all due respect your majesties do
you honestly believe one tiny nation as Japan can alter the course of
history through out the earth."

So Tuniko says, "Susiama, please my empress will you reply to her
majesties question."

"Great queen of Briton no, Japan as a nation will not, nor will it in any
way impose its laws on any other nation, what we did there, we did, under
guidance of the Kami, creator of heaven and earth, and all things on it,
I speak for the Kami as their personification in mortal form...all of what
you have told us, is new to us, and at this time I choose to not do more,
until the Kami so empowers me to..."

As tears start rolling down my face I say, "Please excuse me...I had no
idea of man's inhumanity to man is so dreadfully spread out though this
earth...I now better understand why the Kami regrets creating mankind, as
soon as they gave these creatures of earth free will, they knew even then
it was possibly a mistake...I must go back to our home and pray much before
the Shinto Shrine for an answer to this."

Then she says, "Please will you all leave us, only the emperor and
empress remain please."

Once only the three of us are here she kisses my lips lightly then asks,
"My child do you honestly believe you alone have been sent to right the
wrongs on earth...mankind is a spiteful group of barbarian savages who will
constantly over run and step on those who are weaker, one messenger of
god cannot hope to change the course of man's direction, much less a
young Empress from a very small nation, and is it not that even in Japan

realize all men are created equal, the great Kami, creator of earth and
all upon it empowered me and I rendered them helpless before us."

"There is more, what happened after that."

"Your majesty, you should not listen to roomers of possible magical
occurrences...it is my belief they were so taken by a simple trick their
minds allowed them to believe we vanished from their sight."

"Empress Susiama, I may be an old woman but I do know a sorceress when
one is setting next to me, but from where do you derive at this sorcery
pray, from the creator and not his fallen angel."

"Are we quite alone your majesty, no one can hear or see in where we
are."

"We are alone." "Eons ago a tiny sprite spied on elves, Gnomes and dwarfs
seen they have sexes, we are all sexless, spring from trees, sea foam,

your majesty, I am Pensuwana, the wood sprite, nurtured by a cherry tree
some 100,000 years ago, made mortal only 5000 years ago, to my knowledge
the only one of my kind the Kami has so given me a mortal form."

She takes a glass that makes things look larger and seeing it is really
me, she says, "Can you go between forms at will."

Reappearing before her, I reply, "Yes, simply by wanting to."

"Many years ago I was told in a dream that one day I will meet a true
immortal being, praise god, I now have...Pensuwana, or Susiama which ever
you refer to be called. May I ask you to watch over England, do not allow
us to make stupid mistakes." "Please, your majesty do not confuse me with
a goddess, of which I am not, but a priestess of the great Kami with
limited abilities, I am not all seeing or knowing, remember Victoria,
there is only one creator, your god, my goddess, one in the same."

"I still know you to be an immortal, and as such I also know you will
protect England, as you do and apparently have Japan for centuries, thank
you my holy goddess, thank you so very much."

After, as Tuniko and I are on our way to the ship he asks, "My love, the
queen does not believe you are not a goddess who looks out for every
mortal on earth, how will you deal with that." "To my good fortune I do
not need to the Kami shall."

Instead of going back the way we came we sailed through the Mediterranean
got a ship in the Indian Ocean and sailed home. After we had unpacked and
seen the ministers of government Tuniko speaking with his council, much
later in our bedroom suite he asks, "I do not believe I have been relaxed
enough to really enjoy you since we left...may we now."

"You shall impregnate me this night Tuniko, and later we shall plant the
wood sprite seed."

My next few weeks are filled with tearful crying at the Shinto Shrine
thinking of all those poor African slaves throughout America, England,
and the Islands off the coast of America, until one night after 2 days
without food or water I know the Kami has answered my prayers, by simply
telling me the whole of earth's problems are not mine, but theirs, so
over the next many years Japan enjoys peace and growth, until China once
again becomes a threat and we invade, taking control of most of it and
governing with a strong iron hand. Once it seems safe enough Tuniko,
myself with a large military escort goes to Peking to again speak to the
military governor we set up there in response to complaints we have
gotten of cruel and inhuman practices we have been told. But after we are
attacked 4 times just trying to get there, and losing many of our
soldiers, by the time we do, Tuniko tells Governor general Togamo,
"General either we have control or we do not, either you maintain this
country or let us leave it, I see no sense of losing so many men to keep
a nation which refuses to be kept." "My emperor we have no way of knowing
who are the ones who want us out, they are all Chinese do you understand
my position."

Tuniko the asks me, "What are your thoughts Susiama."

"Find those who are with us, put a puppet government over these peoples
and pull our troops, letting them settle this, but promising all the
assistance they need if they will allow the government we put in rule."

"General, see to it."

Back at the palace we plant another wood sprite seed, our last, now with
4 children and Crown prince Akido coming of age I spend much time with
him, one afternoon in the orchard as we are talking and I am telling him
of national and international finance and the importance of a balanced
budget he become restless as he asks, "Mother can we not do something
pleasing and enjoyable, I have enough of this for now."

"Would you like to see the elves in their home."

"Elves...do they really exist."

"Oh...my dearest, have I been so amiss I have not shown them to you, come
my darling and meet Popo and his family."

After it taking me an hour to get them out finally we all set around
talking and Akido asks, "Why are you living here, do you not come from
somewhere else." So Popo smiles as he asks, "Pensuwana may I tell your
son."

"Yes my lord please do."

Popo talked for hours and before we realized it, darkness had come so
Akido and I go back to the palace and Tuniko asks, "I looked for you
where have you been."

"Visiting the elves my lord, Akido had not seen them."

Tuniko sets next to Akido and tells him, "In time you will better realize
how fortunate you are to have the mother you do, one who lives in both
the mortal world and the world of sprites, fairies, elves, gnomes and the
like, no man or child can be so lucky as we to have this precious woman
for our own...Susiama is it not time for you to sleep with Akido and
whisper in his ear the wonders of life."

"Tuniko I began that long ago, Akido has heard my words of wisdom for
years now."

A few months later we decide to travel around Japan it had been years
since an emperor had done so, and to have his family with him, more
humanizes his person, in every village we go through the people kneel and
pray to him and worship him, in the larger cities we stop and talk with
many, especially myself, as I had done so many years ago, as I am in
Osaka a woman comes to me and says, "Because of your laws governing the
sale of girls my youngest daughter has become a Geisha and is very
wealthy, sending me Yen every month, which if she could not I would surly

I write where I will not lose it and we go on, on Okinawa a few more
women and men approach me telling me that same things, and my feelings of
accomplishments in what I have tried to do for our subjects. Months later
after we are home I have these girls found, one is a courtesan in the
Yoshiwara, so I go there, dressed so no one will know who I am, and ask

Bursting out wailing her regret for being so stupid she softly says,

Instantly we are at a Shrine of Shinto, she of course screams in fright,
but after I calm her I say the words and she repeats them, then I tell

After the tiny sprites have all but weakened them, Tigo says, "After all

As the 4 of us begin making love, and soon we are so involved, I see out
of the corner of my eye, a group of Gnomes watching us, soon 4 come

So I ask, "Akido may we let all these come in the house, we have taken
their feeding time so we should supply them with some sweet liquid and
allow them to rest in side where it is safe."

then a few of each the fairies, pixies sprites, nixies, brownies and I go
find some goblins and trolls and cause them to not be able to see my tiny
friends. Later the next day Akido asks, "What do all these creatures do
all day and night." After the sun goes down the tiny ones must be
somewhere so they can rest, they do not sleep as we do, but they cannot
move around without day light, during the day they are like bees,
hummingbirds and butterflies, they feed all day and play, elves, Gnomes
and dwarfs work during the day, either gardening or mining, building on
their dwellings, gathering heather, clover and wheat and making ale,
which they drink like we drink water, the females make bread, cakes,
cookies, cook large dinners, and until they are at least 800 years old
copulate like rabbits every night, those 4 who are always after my ass
are 600 years old, and should be married, but they spent so much time
with me I spoiled them, most elves live in cities, where Gnomes and
dwarfs prefer the forested mountains, all three of these do not die, like
we do...or you do, they fade away, only in the summer so they can lay on
the earth, and they just disappear, fading into the soil under them, but
only when they lose their will to live, because their mate has faded away
or many get some kind of sickness that causes them to lose purpose, but
like us it is a happy time we go to our ancestors they go back into the
earth that made them. The 4 tiny ones live forever, unless they have an
accident, they are so small, fish, birds, small animals, anything fast
enough will eat them...if they were the size of Gnomes there would not be
enough land for them to live on, and certainly not enough nectar to feed
them, Sprites, pixies and nixies have no concept of relationships, none
are related, nor friends it is very difficult to explain, what I still do
not know is why did I experience the feelings I did to want companionship
and love in my existence and turn that into a life, one of warm feelings
and a deep need for sexual unions with others...if you do not mind when you
leave I am going to stay with the Gnomes for a time. The world does not
seem so dangerous to me here...what happened in NYC has me still
