I am in 8Th grade now and I am now 5'6" and weigh 125 lbs and I am getting dressed in my best clothes. I am nervous because I am taking April out on our first date and I will know after tonight if we will become more than just friends. I have been working part-time during the summer with a lawn care business. I have saved up about $150 and I withdrew $25 for my date. We will be going to a fast food restaurant and than going to a movie tonight. I walked out and mom looked at me and grabbed both of her own hands and exclaimed," Our little boy is growing up he is going on his first date." I said," Aaaah mom." Mom inspected me and said," You sure are handsome tonight." Dad walked in and said," So it looks like you are ready." The doorbell rang and mom answered it and in walked April and she was wearing a navy blue dress and black pumps with 2" heels and her blonde hair is up in barrettes. We walked out and I held open the back door and she got in and I went in after her. The fast food restaurant was right by the cinemas so from there we would walk to the movies. We both made our orders and after receiving them I paid for them and we sat down. She said," You were my hero that day when you came up to me and I was crying. I felt so helpless. We ate our dinners and I took April's and my trays and dumped them in the trash and put them on the rack. We walked hand in hand to the cinema and went up to the ticket booth and I paid for our tickets. We went in and got popcorn and pops and went in and sat down in the chairs in the middle row. We shared the popcorn and snuggled up to me while we ate the popcorn and drank our pops The movie started and we got done with the popcorn and I held her through the movie. We sat snuggled up to each other until the closing credits and the lights came on and we got up and walked out to the lobby. I saw dad outside the theater and we went outside and I held the back door open for April and followed her into the backseat. Dad drove us home and 10 minutes later we got to house and we got out and I put my arm around her waist. As we walked in Mom said," Aaaah you 2 are in love." April said," I do love your son." Dad walked in and said," Yeah it looks like those 2 are going to be inseparable."
