Subject: Surprise Reemergence 6

    I am sorry about the last chapter there was some mix ups about
invitation for all comments going to the middle of the story instead of
before the story.  I would still love to hear your comments at
wyogent67@yahoo..com especially from you transgender ladies.

Jamie and I have been together now for a year and Randy's and my business
has been booming now and we have 5 employees.  Jamie has been doing
extremely well with her firm and her clientele is getting larger and she
does alot of business from home and I have built an addition to our office
and also have built an addition to the garage so now there is her car and
my pickup stored in the garage.

I got home early from the work site since it was a moderate sized job.
Randy came bounding into the house.

He said," So what is your plans since you plan to pop the question?"

 I said," First off I have reservations for the Montana Sky Restaurant."

He laughed and said," Montana Sky Restaurant huh,well you know that you
can't rely on clothing like Wranglers and a work shirt."

I laughed and said," Hey I have been good at humming and faking it.
Besides I do have a t-shirt with that black tie on it."

I went into the bedroom and reached into my pocket and saw it was
undisturbed and pulled out the ring box.  I went back into the living-room
carrying the ring box.

I opened it and showed him the ring.

He asked," How much did that set set you back?"

I said," $1,500."

He whistled and said," Well I have to say she is worth it."

I said," Yes she is."

He said," I hope you the best but I have a feeling she will say yes."

I said," I am nervous as heck.  I have to start getting ready I want to
spring the news about the restaurant when she gets here."

I went into the bathroom and started the water to get it ready to take the
shower.  I stepped into the shower and got myself wet.  I washed myself
thoroughly and washed my hair After rinsing myself off I stepped out of the
shower and shaved and dried myself off.  I walked out and was surprised to
see Randy still there.  I went into the bedroom and put on a pair of socks
and than I put on a light blue shirt and than I put on a pair of navy blue
slacks and put on the black belt and I put on a tie and tied the classic
Windsor knot in it.  Than I pulled on my pair of dress boots on and walked
out to the living-room but went into the bathroom to put on the aftershave.
I came back out making sure I had the ring box in the blazer pocket.

Randy whistled and said," My you are pretty aren't you.  So what is your
cover story?"

I said," I told her that this is a celebration of how well she is doing in
her job."

He said," Sounds good to me."

We talked for a half-hour longer and we heard Jamie pull into the garage.
Jamie walked into the house and saw me.

She looked at me and asked," Sweetheart, what is the occasion?"

I said," The occasion is you sweetheart I thought you deserve to celebrate
with how well you are doing in your job.  I have a reservation for us at
the Crowne Plaza-Montana Sky Restaurant in Billings."

She gasped and said," That is such a beautiful restaurant and it has to be
pricey.  We can't go there."

I said," Sweetheart I made the reservation a month ago and I won't take no
for an answer and we are going."

She asked," What time is the reservation for?"

I said," I set for 8:30 it is just now 4:30.  If we leave by 6 we should be
there in plenty of time."

She said," OK I have time to get ready."

She went into the bathroom and sprayed on some perfume and went into the
bedroom and was in there for about an hour.

She came out and was wearing one of those little black dresses and
stilletto heels and went into the bathroom again and came back out with
ruby red lipsticks.

Randy said," Wow are you a sexy thing."

Jamie went over and hugged Randy and said," You are such a nice gentleman
and you know you will be snatched up by a lucky lady."

Randy looked at his watch and said," I have to go and you two have fun."

He walked out and I looked at my watch and saw it was 6.

I said," Well it is time to go."

I grabbed her arm and put her arm into mine and escorted her out.  She now
had a 3 year old silver Ford Taurus.  I held open the passenger door for
her and she stepped inside and sat down and straighten out the black dress.

I got in the car behind the wheel and belted myself in and saw that she did
the same.

Jamie said," I talked to my parents the other day about you."

I was shocked and asked," What did they say?"

She said," Oh don't worry they knew about me for years and it was my dad
who suggested while I was in college to maybe go through the transition.
It was they who paid for my surgery and he said consider it a gift."

I was surprised and said," Your parents must be pretty liberal in their
thinking."

She said," No, it took them a long-time to come to peace with this.  My dad
is a retired CFO from the company I worked at.  My parents saw I would
never grow up to be your typical man so it was in college that they finally
came to terms with me being gender confused.  Anyway, you remember my dad
he worked for the accounting firm I work for now he said you were a good
man and you have their blessings.  Just one thing they would like you to
visit them with me."

We made our way up the Belfry Highway and Jamie looked out the window.


She said," So, Sunlight Basin is now the Chief Joseph Highway."

I said," Yeah and now it is completely paved."

She said," I bet that saddened you."

I said," Yeah, but I came to terms with it change will always happen no
matter how much you fight it."

She kept looking out the window and she said," I am so lucky I have come to
terms with who I am and I have the man I love.  Just think it was a year
ago when I wrote you and I came up and I was so afraid you would reject
me."

I said," Well it is hard to believe how much happens in one year."

We drove on for about another hour and 45 minutes and we arrived to
down-town Billings and we pulled in front of the Crowne Plaza.  I went over
and held the door open for her and she got out and readjusted her dress.

I took her by the arm and walked up to the door and held it open for her
and went in behind her.

We than walked our way up to the maitr^e de who was standing behind the
podium.

I told him my name and said we are here for the 8:30 reservation.

He led us back to the table of two and he asked if we wanted any beverages.
I told him we would like a bottle of white wine.  He said that would be
very good.  He came back with the bottle and a white towel over his arm and
2 glasses.  He than popped the cork and after it breathed for a couple of
minutes he poured it into our glasses.  I sampled it and said it is very
good.  After he walked away I went to where Jamie was sitting and dropped
to one knee and I brought out the ring box.

I said," Jamie, this has been the best year of my life and I love you more
than I can properly describe.  Jamie, will you marry me?"

Her eyes went misty and said," Yes! yes! yes!"

I said," I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

I than brought out the ring and put it on her finger and than she grabbed
me around me neck and hugged me and smothered me with kisses.

She said," I was hoping that someday you would propose to me and tonight is
the best night of my life."

We sat and talked and they brought our meal and we enjoyed our dinner

After we got done eating we stayed until about 10:30 and we got up and we
made our way to the car and this time I let her in through the driver's
side and she made her way to the middle of the seat.  I got in after she
readjusted her dress.

I said," I wanted you to sit closer to me on the way back to Cody."

She said," I love it."

Before closing the door I saw her holding up her hand looking at the ring.

I started the car and made our way out of Billings and got to the
interstate towards Laural.

By the time we got to Laurel Jamie fell asleep on my arm and I had the
country music station playing softly.

We made our way about 10 miles and I turned left to the Belfry Highway.

We drove for about another hour and 45 minutes and we made it to the
outskirts of Cody and after another 15 minutes I pulled into the garage.

I said," Sweetheart, we are home."

She asked," I slept all the way?"

I said," You fell asleep at Laurel."

She said," I get sleepy after surprises and tonight was the biggest and
most glorious surprise of my life."

I got out and helped Jamie out of the car and we walked inside and went to
the bedroom and she got in her nightgown and I stripped to my underwear. We
climbed into bed and after she cuddled up to me I kissed her goodnight.  I
slowly fell asleep knowing Jamie is the girl of my dreams even though I
didn't know it a year ago.
