Subject: The Garden Party  Chapter 1  Transgender/Adult

           I will take comments from any transgender ladies out there at
johnnail18@yahoo.com.



            Well, I am doing something that I said I would never do get
ready for a garden party.  It was my friend Brett and his wife's Kim who
were hosting the party so I was coming for them.  I was in my best
Wranglers and my new denim shirt and my boots were polished.  I drove for
about 30 minutes and I arrived and Brett saw me.

                   He said," John, I am glad you made it."

            I said ," Yeah. you owe me you know I can't stand this type of
thing."

         He laughed and said," Well, I don't care for this either and oh
the bourbon and beer is over there."

         I walked over and got a shot glass and asked for Jim Beam and was
sipping it by a plant when this beautiful lady walked over wearing this
blue sequined cocktail dress.

           She said," I can't believe I agreed to come to this listening to
women talk about the pool boys, if I was listen to them any longer murder
would look like a good option."

            I laughed and said," You look so natural in this setting."

             She shot me a dirty look and than laughed," I see you are
really dressed for the occasion what got you here?"

            I said," Brett and Kim "invited" me."

            She said," Oh you too, so you must be the man they want to
match me up with."

             I laughed," I should have seen this coming and I thought I was
the only single one."

             She said."  I hope you are the one that they are trying to
match me up with.  You are a very handsome man."



              I replied."  I hope you are the woman they are trying to
match me up with because you are the woman of my dreams."

            We both laughed and she put her head on my arm and we both
understood if we weren't the ones Brett and Kim had in mind we were going
to be the ones anyway.

             Kim came over and saw us and said," I was going to introduce
you 2 but it seems you found each other."



                        That was when the woman of my dreams said." My name
is Beth."

             I said," My name is John."

                      We both laughed at this whole situation after getting
familiar with each other we finally knew each other's names.



        After Kim walked away from us is when I said," Unless you are
enjoying yourself too much here we can ditch this."

          Beth gave me a mock look of exasperation and said," They will be
so disappointed but let's go."  .

           She took off her heels and held them in one hand and grabbed my
hand with her right and we ran to my pickup.

             We drove for 15 minutes to a café outside of Dubois and
after parking the pickup we walked inside after I held the door open for
her.

            After sitting down in one of the booths I ordered a slice of
apple pie with milk.

             She laughed and said," These places are so quaint I love these
cafes."

               I said," We used to come here when my dad decided it was
time for a family outing and this place bakes some of the best apple pies I
have ever tasted."  She ordered a slice of apple pie and asked" So how long
have you lived here?"

            I said," Since I was 3, gangs were getting worst at Chicago and
dad being originally from Montana thought this would be perfect.  My dad
familiarized himself with shoeing horses and we have been living at Dubois
since.  I went back to Chicago with my mom to visit family last year and it
is so alien to me."

         She said," So you have been living here how long?"  I said," 21
years."

          She said," Wow so this area is pretty much all you know."  I
said," Yeah it is and I do love it here.  This couple they are funny."  She
asked," You didn't see this coming?"

            I said," No but I should have since it was Brett and Kim she
always likes to be the matchmaker."

            Beth laughed and replied," Well, you know that is what she
likes to do."

             I asked," So what do you do? What brought you to the area?"
She said." Well, I am in interior decorating and I moved from California
L.A. to be specific.  I left there because my clients there I think were
losing all their senses and I came through here a year before I moved here.
Now I have lived here for 5 years and I love it here."  He said," That is
strange I have never seen you before."

       She laughed and said," Well, if you needed some wall paper or
curtains hung or you needed some advice on color patterns you would
probably know me."

    I said," Yeah, good point but still I usually run into just about
anybody and everybody here."

She said," It doesn't matter we have now been introduced. "

I said," Yes, you are right and I am glad and makes me glad I came to the
garden party."

She laughed," Which we have immediately left.  Oh I am sorry I have to
leave if I don't get to my clients on time In the morning at least one will
have a panic attack."

We got up and I paid for our pies and we walked out to my truck.

Well we drove to back to Brett's and Kim's house and after getting out Beth
stepped up and we kissed for about 2 or 3 minutes.

She handed me a piece of paper and said," Don't be shy calling me."

She walked to the car and got in and pulled away and I sat and watch her
disappear into the night. I started my pickup and drove the 15 minutes back
to the house.  In my bedroom I chuckled that I didn't even say goodbye to
Brett or Kim.  I stripped to my boxers and went to bed and I thought about
Beth as I slowly drifted off to sleep.
