Subject: Jimmy and Alice    Transgender/young friends

Twelve year old Jimmy Murray was playing trucks outside when he noticed a
moving truck was pulling up beside the next door house and a mini-van
pulled into the driveway.  He was curious so he went over to see who were
the new neighbors.

When he got there a father and mother were getting out and the mother
opened the door and a little girl came out and she shyly looked at Jimmy
and smiled nervously.  Before the introduction could be made Brenda Murray
came out to the neighbor's yard.

Brenda," Hi, my name is Brenda Murray and this is our son Jimmy Murray I
hope he isn't getting in the way."

The man said," Oh no, my name is Bob Mueller and this is my wife Susan and
my daughter Alice I am just glad there is someone who is about her age."

She laughed and said," This house has been vacant for almost a year and it
is surprising to see someone who bought this house."

Bob Mueller said," We moved here because I will be managing the new mall
that has just been built here."

Brenda said," Oh, the new Apple Lake Mall, we have been watching the
construction of it for months and you are managing that wow that is great
having you as neighbors.  You know whatever you might need just knock and I
know how difficult it can be to acclimate yourselves to a new town."

Bob said," Great, we will remember that and oh can our daughter Alice come
over and play with Jimmy.  She has not been able to play for 4 days she has
just been riding."

Brenda said," Sure, I know she isn't a boy but I am sure Jimmy and Alice
will get along with each other fine. "

With her parent's blessing Alice ran over to Jimmy and asked," Can I play
with you?"

Jimmy looked at her and thought about it for a minute and said," Sure, here
is my truck but here are other cars."

They started playing and Alice would look at each other and smile.

He asked," Where are you from?"

She said," San Jose, California. "

Jimmy said," You traveled a long ways, I bet you are glad now that the move
is over."

She said," Ya, but I left all of my friends."

Jimmy said," I will be your friends and I have some friends and we can go
to school together.  What grade are you going to be?"

She said," I will be in 5th grade."

Jimmy said," Great, I will be in 5th grade also."

They played until Alice's mother yelled for her to come home, Alice started
to run home than turned around and ran back and hugged Jimmy.  At first
Jimmy didn't know what to do but than wrapped his arms around Alice and
they hugged.  mmAlice than turned and ran back to her house and Jimmy was
confused because the only people that hugged him was his mother and aunts.

Jimmy walked into the house confused not knowing what to think what he
didn't know was just how special and strong his friendship and bond with
Alice Mueller would be.

As he walked in his mom was putting supper on the table and she asked," So
did you and Alice get along?"  He said," Ya, but mom she hugged me."

She said," Ooh isn't that sweet she likes you."  Jimmy's dad Ted walks in
and still in his work clothes as an air condition technician and he kissed
Brenda.

She said," We have new neighbors and they have a little girl named Alice
and she played with Jimmy.  Now Bob is the manager of the new mall Apple
Lake Mall."

Ted said," Oh, really I did some work from that massive airconditioner
through the roof.  Didn't do any of the duct work though they had another
company do that. "

Brenda said," I don't remember you telling me that."

He said," Sure I did why do you think I made $12,000 last month. You say
that their daughter gets along with our son?"

She said," Yes in fact when her mother called her back home she hugged
him."

He chuckled," Looks like our son won the heart of a cute girl."

They ate dinner and after dinner they watched t.v. until 9 and Jimmy got up
and brushed his teeth and went to bed.

He still wondered about her hug and tried to figure it out but fell asleep
before he could make sense of it.
