The "Grudgingly Good" rating indicates that I think the story is well written, but that I find some of the elements in the story so disturbing that if I were to review the story based solely on my personal tastes I would give it a "Not Good" rating. The "Not Good" rating indicates that I do not like the story. ----- Arousal Factor - This is a measurement of how arousing I found a story to be. Story Factor - This is a measurement of how good I found a story to be, devoid of whether there is a lot of sex in it or not. In determining the story factor I take into consideration the plot, the characters, and other more technical aspects, such as spelling and grammar. COMMENTARY This part of the story revolves around sex, more than it does plot. There is some indication that Jack is not completely with happy with his situation and fears that he will have to pay for what he has done, in one way or another. COMMENTARY This is fun, and a bit arousing. I am not too sure if this qualifies as incest. Alex definitely has incestual longings. (duh!) COMMENTARY The plot is simple. This does not mean that the story begins with Alex and Catherine in bed. The author avoids the classic mistake of having the sex continue non-stop, once it begins. The restraint shown by Alex and Catherine, primarily Catherine, does not make them great characters. It does however, show that the author knows what he is doing. COMMENTARY This is not your typical sex story. There is very little sex in it. The story felt a bit rushed. I think I would have enjoyed it more if the pace had been a bit slower. COMMENTARY I like the way this story is put together. I like the characters. I like the plot; it is simple but it works. I think the author does an excellent job of setting the scene. This is not a deep story, but it is a very enjoyable one. There are some British slang words and expressions used in this story. COMMENTARY This is not a happy story. The ending shows there is some hope for the future, but for the most part this story is very depressing. I liked the first half of this story better than I did the second. The first half seemed more alive. I could feel Janice' surroundings. In the second half, the world around her gave off less heat. That was probably due in part to her numbness. This is not a stroke story, by any stretch of the imagination. What sex there is in this story is not enjoyable. COMMENTARY This is a well written story. There is some sex in this story, but the focus does not seem to be sex as much as it is romance. This story could also be taken as a warning to those who spend too much time on their computers. COMMENTARY I found this story somewhat arousing. It is a little short on plot. Danita dies during the sex, I don't think this qualifies it as a snuff story. I did not find this story particularly deep. It skims the water. COMMENTARY This is a ghost story, of sorts. It also seems to be about learning to cope with loss. Possibly I am reading too deeply into this story. Lucy does remind me of Nicole in F. Scott Fitzgerald's "Tender is the Night". The story is different, but she seems to be the same sort of person.
