Summary

David is an art student at a small college. His mother, who he likes
to call Frank, comes to visit one weekend. She cannot find a hotel
room and so he shares his room with her. By the end of the story he
shares his bed with her.

Commentary

The story was very well written. The plot was straight forward, Mom
comes to visit to cheer her son up. The characters were real and
believable. I could understand David's attraction to his mother, but
it was never as clear what led her to have sex with her son. That
might be because the narrator was a virgin and seemed rather naive.
Continuing this line of reasoning it would not be unreasonable to
suggest that he missed most of the telltale signs. That of course
assumes that there always are telltale signs. Anyhow, I'm over
analyzing this story. This was this author's first attempt at a
mother/son story, and except for the manner in which he worked the
sex into the story I would have to say it was a very good story.

Rating

I give this story a 7.5 on a scale of 10.
