Melissa’s Secrets

This story began as a collaboration between myself and KK. The 
main characters and basic plot were created together as we set 
out to write a story together. This story allowed both of us to 
explore each other’s genres, providing the strength of our own 
backgrounds to the design of this story.

KK turned the story completely over to me after we'd completed 
the fourth chapter. I greatly appreciate his work and talent. 
Neither of us intended for the story to be as lengthy as it has 
turned out to be, but the story just kept begging to be told.

The character “Melissa” in this story is not the same “Melissa” as 
in my first three stories.

I want to thank my editor, Nick, for all of his hard work and 
time in improving the quality of “Melissa’s Secrets”. He began 
assisting me with Chapter 27. He’s also gone back and edited the 
earlier chapters as well. His efforts have made a significant 
impact on this story, as well as the quality of my writing.

The story primarily takes place in the fictional city of Albany, 
South Carolina. It takes place between August 2005 and August 
2006.
