Uncle Gary II
(MF/Romance)
Peering around the room through the mass of people he was finally able to spot her. At the other side of the room she was in what appeared to be a light-hearted conversation with one of the road crew. Weaving his way through the thick crowd it took him a few minutes but he was finally able to get to her side. Putting a hand on her shoulder, he nodded to the roadie, "Can you give me a minute alone with Mickey please Gordon?"
Knowing Gary's manager, Alex, didn't show up to talk to someone for no reason, he nodded, "Sure thing boss." Nodding to Mickey, he made his way through the crowd and disappeared in the mass of humanity.
Leaning back against the wall, she eyed Alex, eyebrow up, sipping her drink. "So, tell me, what do you want?" They hadn't gotten along well when she and Gary had been an item. It seemed that Alex had been under the impression, like he was about most women that had attached themselves to Gary, that she was just in it for herself not anything else.
Shuffling around
a bit nervously, he stuttered and stammered a bit before coming out and saying,
"I was wondering if you could do me a favor and talk to Gary."
Downing the rest of her drink, she sat the glass aside then fixed him with a
stare. "Why would you want me to do that?" Arching an eyebrow again, she
cocked her head to the side and gave him a quizzical look. "But more to the
point, what about?"
Rubbing his face
he then looked at her. This wasn't something he really WANTED to do but he was
at the end of his rope and thought she might be able to help. Sure, when she
and Gary had been an 'item' he held her in the same distrust that he did any
other woman that hooked up with his star, thinking there was an ulterior motive
behind it. But unlike most Mickey hadn't had one. She didn't want it known
that they were dating, she didn't want fame and she hadn't really wanted
anything from him other than his company. But he hadn't really come to that
conclusion until after the relationship had ended. He knew the two had remained
close friends after the relationship had run its course and still talked when
they could. Now what he needed was her help. Grabbing her by the elbow, he
steered her into the den and shut the door behind them to make sure no one was
listening. Leaning back against the door as she sat in one of the armchairs he
looked at her, "You know this party was to celebrate his marriage to Tansy
right?"
Nodding, she gazed at him, "Yeah, I know that. They are getting married
tomorrow, he asked me to come." Tansy was a female country singer that had beenGary's girlfriend for the last couple years. It
was well known that he loved her and their marriage was seen as a union of two
of the most popular country singers in the
US.
Rubbing his face again he then gave her an anguished look. "He just broke it off with her and called off the wedding!"
Staring at him, she asked, quietly, "When did this happen?"
"About a half an
hour ago! He told her he didn't want to get married right now and need time to
think before he decided what he wanted to do about the relationship. Do
something! Talk to him! Make him see sense!"
Rubbing her fingers absently, something she always did when she was thinking,
she looked away as she answered, "What do you think I can do? It's his choice."
" You're the psychowhatsit; you know how to deal with this stuff!"
"Yeah, I'm a psychologist but marriage counseling and family practice isn't my field."
Groaning loudly, he shook his head, "That doesn't mean you can't do it! I know that much about it anyway. Besides, he listens to you when he won't to anyone else. Just talk to him. Please!"
Giving him a hard stare, she said shortly, "I'll talk to him but I'm not going to even attempt to talk him into something he doesn't want to do. If he says no then no it is. But if it's just pre-marriage jitters or something like that I'll see what I can do. Where is he?"
Sighing deeply, thinking that if anyone could get Gary's head screwed back on right it was her, he said, "Fine, just talk to him. I'm sure that is all it is. He's holed up in the basement. Last I saw he was just sitting on the pool table playing his guitar."
She walked to the door, but before opening it she gave him a hard look, "Just so you know I am not doing this for YOU. As far as I'm concerned you could drop dead and I wouldn't care. I'm doing it for Gary." She then strode out and headed towards the basement.
Sliding easily through the crowd, she headed to the kitchen, where the door to the basement was. Before opening it and heading down, she made sure she saw where her parents and brothers were, she didn't want them asking her what was going on. To this day they still didn't know about the fling she and Gary had and she didn't want them finding out now. Seeing that they were all elsewhere engaged, she slipped through the door and quietly descended the rough staircase. Despite the immaculate decorations of the rest of the house and the careful interior designs for it the basement still resembled what it was when he bought it, one large unfinished room. Their was no true ceiling to it, just the boards that made up the flooring from the room above and all the duct work and electric was in plain view. The floor was cement painted the same dull red, the color of old blood. Throw rugs were tossed here and there in it but for the most part were just decoration. There were chairs at the end where the staircase was and at the other end was an old pool table that served more as a catch all for laundry rather than games. Against the far wall was the washer and dryer surrounded by shelves that kept all the stuff for laundry. Even stars clothes got dirty and they had to wash them, as odd as it seemed to their fans. Gary was sitting on the end of the pool table, strumming out some tune on his guitar as the washer and dryer vibrated and made noise as they did their job.
Picking her way through some of the stuff that lay scattered her and there, she quietly made her way over to him. As she got close he must have heard something because he said, without turning around, "Go away Alex! I made up my mind and that's that. I'm not going to change it just because you don't agree with it."
Stepping up closer behind him, she said softly, "And whatever your decision is makes no never mind to me Gary."
That voice immediately sunk in and he turned with a jerk to see her standing there. A smile spread across his face and his heart started to hammer in his chest. It had been a couple years since he had seen her for more than a few minutes here and there and much to his surprise she looked almost the same as she had. Sure, she looked older, after all she was now almost 30, but she still looked fantastic. Everything was still right where it was, toned and curvy. That golden blonde mane of hers was still there but seemed to be a bit longer now, down to the middle of her back. Her blue eyes still seemed to have the same sparkle they always had, a bit playful and mischievous. Taking his guitar off, he sat it down on the pool table amid the piles of laundry that needed done, then he turned sideways to face her, one leg hanging down the other drawn up and laying sideways on the table. With a mouth that dried up a bit, he whispered, "Mickey."
"The one and only." She said with a grin. With a hop, she planted herself on the pool table and looked at him, a grin on her face.
Sliding over next to her, he took one of her hands gently in his. Smiling bigger, he looked at her, "It's great to see you! I didn't know if you would come or not because." He let the sentence trail off as a pang of guilt surged through him. Sure, their relationship ended on a good note, neither of them felt it would work for various reasons so there was no sense in trying to force something and end up hurt. But since it ended he felt he had made a mistake and at times longed for her so much that it was almost like a physical pain.
Giving his hand
a gentle squeeze, she winked and grinned, "Why wouldn't I? You asked and I'm
here."
" I just thought because it was to celebrate my upcoming marriage you might
not. That it might make you uncomfortable or something." As he gazed into her
eyes he got lost all over again, thinking about what could have been between
them and trying to figure out why they weren't together. Then thoughts of Tansy
flooded in and he sighed deeply. "Did you hear or did something else bring you
down?"
Looking closely at him, she could see a few more gray hairs in his soft brown hair and a pain in those blue-green eyes that she hadn't seen last time they had met up. Though it was something she couldn't see, she sensed a confusion and frustration there about something. Leaning back, resting on her palms, legs swinging back and forth a bit, she smiled, "To be honest, Alex found me and almost begged me to come talk to you. I get the feeling he wanted me 'to talk some sense into you' and try to get you to rethink your decision. I am NOT going to do that, you know me, that isn't something I do. But if you want to talk about it, I'm all ears." Giving him a small smile, she continued on, her voice soft and quiet. "What's going on Gary? You can tell me, it won't leave this room. Is it cold feet or something else?"
Rubbing his face he leaned forward and stared at the floor, hands clutching the edge of the pool table so hard the knuckles were almost white. Sighing heavily, he shook his head. "No, it isn't cold feet. I don't really know how to explain this. Tansy is a great person and all that and I really did think I loved her enough to marry her but today I realized I couldn't go through it. While I DO love her it's more like a friend than anything else. The more I thought about it the more I realized that I didn't love her in the way it would take to make a life together, it was more like in the way you love a good friend. Does that make sense?"
Nodding, she reached out and put her hand over his, "Makes perfect sense to me Gary. Was it an all of a sudden thing or had it been building over time?"
Shaking his head, he sighed again, "No, all along I felt like that but thought maybe over time I would change my mind. Today was just that it hit me all at once and I realized I would never love her that way. I thought that if I backed out now it would save a lot of heartbreak later on."
In a firm voice
she said, "Then you made the right decision, don't second guess it."
Looking at her, he smiled, "I knew if anyone would get it, it would be you."
Turning sideways, he looked at her, a serious expression on his face. "What
happened between us Mickey? Why didn't it work?"
Shrugging, she said, "A lot of things, it wasn't just one. I was still in school and we couldn't be together like we wanted. Touring took you away for long periods of time, especially when we first started, that didn't help. The fame you had scared me, it wasn't something I was equipped to handle at the time. Your relationship with Dad was another. Neither of us wanted my parents to find out or explain it. Then there was I wasn't ready to have a family. Hell, your kids aren't much younger than I am. I wasn't ready for that responsibility. So it wasn't just one thing that caused it."
Gazing intently at her, he asked, his voice soft, almost a whisper, "Do you ever think about us? About me? And wonder if we could make it work now?"
Locking her eyes with his, she said, "Yes. I would be lying if I said I didn't. I wonder what could have happened or what it could have been. I sometimes even wonder if, since I've grown a bit more, we could make a go of it. A lot of things that once bothered me now don't. I no longer worry what mom and dad thinks about who I date. They will accept them or they won't, up to them. I no longer worry about the responsibility of kids. And with the growing and maturing I've done the fame bit isn't the obstacle I thought it was. It would be different now."
Looking at her, quietly, for a minute, he tried to gather his thoughts. But instead of being rational and doing what most thought he should probably do he slid closer to her and took one of her hands in his. Looking into those eyes he still thought about, a lot more now than he used to, he swallowed, hearing a dry click in his throat and said, voice soft but firm and confident. "Mickey, can we give it another try? Please?" Taking another deep breath, he leveled his glaze with hers and his voice took on a more forceful and confident tone, "Oh hell, I might as well come out and say it. Mickey, I love you and always have. I could never forget you and what it felt like to be with you. I've always felt that our ending to what we had together was a mistake. There is no way for me to explain how strong the feelings I have for you are. Everyone I've been out with since you made me long for you all the more. They weren't what I was looking for but I tried to make them fit it. Even Tansy was like that. I started going out with her because she made me think of you and had a bit of a similar personality as you. But as it went on I realized she wasn't you and what I wanted WAS you. The closer the wedding got the more I thought about you. It was today I realized that it wasn't HER I wanted to spend my life with it was YOU. And to marry her would be unfair to her because I couldn't give her the love she wanted from me." Leaning in, he gazed directly into her eyes and stroked down her cheek with his fingers, "Mickey, marry me. Be with me. Be mine. Please?" he whispered what he was feeling very obvious in his face.
Looking deep into his eyes, she let herself get lost in them like she had done so many times in the past. Reaching out she ran her fingers through his hair, feeling the strands tickle her fingers and palm. Leaning forward, she pulled his head closer to give him a kiss but before she did the word, "yes." softly slipped from her lips.
Wrapping his arms around her, he pulled her close, holding her to his chest, mouth devouring hers. As their kissing became more passionate he gently pushed her onto her back and sat up, looking down at her, panting heavily. Before going any further he grabbed his cell and called his bodyguard. After a terse conversation that made it clear no one was to come downstairs under penalty of being fired he shut the phone and tossed it aside.
Quickly, he yanked his jeans and underwear down to his knees. Then, pulling her closer he pulled her jeans down and tossed them aside. With no foreplay he slid himself into her in one smooth stroke, burying himself to the hilt. Kissing her passionately, he held her close as he started to slide in and out.
Wrapping her legs and arms around him, she pulled him tightly to her, kissing him fervently. The pent up lust she had felt for him for so long came out full force and she didn't care about anything other than once again feeling him inside her. Thrusting her hips she met his thrusts, holding onto his cock with the dripping walls of her pussy.
Over and over he had thought about this since they parted and the pure lust and want he felt for her showed in his animalistic thrusts. Holding her tightly, his mouth locked with hers, he continued to thrust into her, his cock throbbing madly already and demanding release. Sliding one hand between her legs, his fingers found the old rhythm he knew she liked on her clit. Within minutes she was writhing around under him, her fingers digging into his shoulders and moaning into his mouth. This was not how he envisioned their first time back together but with all the pent up desire and want in both of them it was understandable.
Soon the pool table was shivering from the thrusts and all that could be heard was the slap of skin against skin and loud moans. Slamming hard up onto him, she ground her hips around, her legs wrapped around him in almost a death grip. Arching up she let out a squeal of pure pleasure and came, flooding his crotch with her juice. Hissing loudly through clenched teeth, he ground into her then let go, filling her hot tunnel with his spend. He wanted to shout but even in the throws of passion he remembered what was upstairs.
After getting cleaned up and dressed, they snuggled in one of the chairs. After a bit, the inevitable came up. "How are we going to do this Mickey?" He asked, stroking softly up and down her back.
Shrugging, she
rested her head on his shoulder, an arm wrapped around him. "Personally, at
this point, I don't care who knows about us. If they can't accept it that is
their problem, not ours."
After holding her a bit and just thinking he decided what he wanted to do.
Taking her hand they went upstairs. After passing through the crowd they made
their way to the living room where most of the people were congregated. Alex
slid up to her and tried to talk but Gary shooed him away. Grabbing a glass he
tapped against it to get everyone's attention. When it quieted down he looked
around then said, in a loud voice, "First, thanks to all that are here to help
me celebrate what is going to be a very joyous occasion for me. But there has
been a bit of a change of plans."
A loud excited murmur buzzed around and Gary had to raise his voice over it. "I
will be getting married, yes, but not tomorrow. Nor will it be to Tansy."
That murmur became and excited, loud noise. Alex tried to get over to her but
couldn't. Her dad and mom stood at her shoulders, speculating as to what was
going on.
Gary continued on as if there was no noise. "Tansy is a great woman and a wonderful
friend but we aren't meant to be man and wife. I know this has hurt her and for
that I am truly sorry." With a big grin that almost split his entire face, he
said, eyes bright and almost glowing, "But I would like to introduce you all to
the lady that is to become my new wife." Holding out his hand to her he winked.
Stepping away from her parents, she took his hand. Pulling her next to him he
wrapped his arm around her waist and beamed at all the shocked looks. "This is
Mickey. Some of you know her, some of you don't, but you will want to because
she is going to become my wife."
At this point the noise was so loud that even if he had spoken again no one would have heard him. But she wasn't paying attention to that; all she could see was the dumbstruck look on her parents face.
During the
commotion that happened afterwards Gary brushed Alex off with a curt, "Later."
Then, sensitive to the shock this must have been to them, led her parents back
to a quiet room to talk to them with her. After shutting and locking the door
behind them he turned to his two oldest friends. "I know this is a shock but I
hope somewhere you will understand it."
It was her father that tried to speak first, but her mom put a hand on his arm
and shushed him. Unlike him, she wasn't looking at
Gary but at her daughter, smiling. Quietly, she asked, "Is this what you want
Mickey? Is this what will finally make you happy?"
Looking from her mothers face then to her fathers' thunderstruck one and finally to Gary, she smiled and said a soft, "Yes." Smiling back at her, he gave her hand a tight squeeze.
Once again shushing her husband before he could blow she grinned bigger, "Then you have our permission." The finality of that statement even shut up her husband. Kissing her softly she held his hand and started to the door. Her dad kissed her as well and shook Gary's hand but also muttered, "You and I are going to have a talk about this. A VERY long one." He shot him an intense look before he was lead out by his wife.
