So Tired
That deep drag that weighs you
Pulling you down
Making you weary
Wraps you tightly
That resigned sigh from your soul
So world weary
Lost in the masses
Lonely and longing
Your eyelids are heavy
The muscles are loose
No strength left in them
Screaming for some rest
Look around you in hopelessness
That horrid feeling comes back
You think hard and wonder
Why should you go on?
Lean back and think hard
Shut your eyes tight
Play it over and over
All the reasons come
Weigh them all against each other
Calculate them intently
Add and subtracting
Wait for the decision
Curl up and shut your eyes
Thinking deeply and mulling it over
Play it through your mind
So tired, just can't think
The clock ticks on loudly
Deep soul-felt sigh
One single tear slips down
Soft sob escapes
Hold yourself tightly, sobbing
Rocking back and forth
The tears stream down
So, so tired.
