“Good morning, Federal Express.” The voice was male. Mary put on her robe and answered the door.
“Hi. Where´s Iris? She´s our regular person.”
“I know. I was her boss, but she quit. Just came in the other day and said she was leaving. Sorry to lose her, she was very good. Besides, now I have to do her route until I can assign someone new.”
“Any idea where she went?”
“None. Wouldn´t say. Number ten, please ... Thanks.”
“If you hear from her, tell her to get in touch, will you?”
“Sure. Thanks for using Federal Express.”
“Bye”
Inside, she gave the envelope to Ken. “Iris quit FedEx. She´s disappeared.”
“That´s terrible. Wonder why. Any idea where she went?”
“No. She was with us, what, three times?”
“Thought it was four. I really liked her. Wonder if it was something we did?”
“Hard to tell. We did everything we could think of, and she thought of some new ones.”
“No, I mean, did we hurt her feelings or something?”
“Damn if I know. She never seemed to be upset or unhappy.”
“I´ll check the Internet for an ID. Doubt if I´ll find it.”
“I really liked her ... Shit.”

“Oh. Anne, that´s got to be Al we met on vacation. Remember? I know Margaret´s a lawyer, I never knew he was in the art business. Let me see ... Yeah, that´s him. Did you see the pictures of him and Margaret?”
“He´s as splendid-looking as she is. They want to pose for Will?”
“Said so.”
“Call them, Mary. Ask them up. If we all like them, maybe they´d like to come for Labor Day.”
“I´ll bet I know.”
“What?”
“You want to trip him up as much as I did.”
“Sure is good-looking. And built. Like Saul.”

Dear Alex, Heather and everyone,
Thank you so much for making a wonderful weekend out of something I had decided to hate in advance. You have brought a lot of joy and love into our lives. Please pass thanks to Pat and Judith for their help and honesty.
When we got on the plane, I started to take off my blazer (really only joking), but Fred nearly died, so I spent the trip flashing him. It drove him wild.
When we got home, Alex, your sister´s car was in the driveway, and I knew she was shopping for an earful of scandal. I dug around and found the pockets for my tee-shirt and put them on. Then, Fred and I walked up to the front door. I took off my blazer and went in. Your sister spent the next half-hour making noises like an hysterical chicken until I sent her home.
Then, when Fred went out to get the suitcases, I took off my slacks. When he saw the black, fish-net Virtual Stockings with my tee-shirt, he nearly dropped the bags on his foot. We made love in the living room for the first time in my life, and I didn´t wash the outfit off for days. It was wonderful, but I found it a little hard to pay attention to lovemaking when we kept bursting out laughing.
Finally, though, I washed it off. Fred helped, and that was fun until the hot water ran out.
Now, I´m waiting to see what happens when your sister catches me sunning in the nude. I´ve discovered that´s another amazing feeling.
