You release

a sea of emotions

open the floodgates

to my soul.

 

I float in silent pools

rippled by your smile

waves rush over me

my heart pumps with life

as I search for the calm;

the bastion

in the wake of your words.

Sometimes the current

moves in a trickle

tenderly

and with grace...

sometimes a river ensues

splashing me on the face

cleansing me

washing, renewed.

 

and I plunge

into the depths

of knowing you.
