You enter the empty mess hall. On the far side of the room are serving stations where prisoners can get food added to their plate. It is very similar to your old high school cafeteria, accept that you can access only one side of the serving stations. As you look past the stations, you can see a kitchen with a middle aged Indian man and a young girl cooking in a kitchen. You knock on the perspex and get their attention. You young cook directs you to a door on the side of the room which buzzes open.
The young cook smiles at you and says "It is so good to see you. I hope you don't mind if I work while we talk?"
April, the young cook, starts talking about the gosip around the prison, mostly about who doesn't like who. A gap comes up in the conversation and it seems a good time to ask something about her.
